lead acid tubular batteries manufacturer in lentoenergy
Lento energy inverters transform direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC), in addition to bringing the low voltages of the panels and batteries up to 110 V, 220 V or other voltage used by an electrical appliance. In addition, some inverters can also charge batteries as long as they are associated with a generator or the AC network.
The solar panels supply energy in the form of direct current (DC) and, also the batteries, receive and supply in DC. For this reason, unless all your devices can work with this type of current, you will need an inverter. Today, virtually all of our electronic devices use alternating current (AC) and therefore only small isolated systems can dispense with the inverter.
Pure Sine Wave Inverters – Produce a practically perfect sine wave and many times even cleaner than the power grid itself. They can be used with virtually any device.
Although more expensive, their price has been approaching the modified wave inverters and, therefore, has been increasingly used.

Assessing Haruna‘s Change Mantra in NASENI
New Post has been published on http://blueprint.ng/assessing-harunas-change-mantra-in-naseni/
Assessing Haruna‘s Change Mantra in NASENI
By Best Agbese
Nigerians have held President Muhammadu Buhari on public accountability strictly on his professed sobriquet of “Change mantra,” in the administration of Nigeria. Before May 2015, there was a unanimous consensus among Nigerians that the country had slipped into very dangerous abyss of ennui, where virtually all public institutions and agencies collapsed pathetically, amid mounting problems. Therefore, President Buhari ascended the Presidency of Nigeria on the banner of a reformer and redeemer, with a vow to change the narrative positively. And frantically, all civilized nations assume the status through the development and promotion of science and technology. However, its application in Nigeria was not only abandoned, but regrettably disappeared from the binoculars and psyche of national planners or policy makers. President Buhari’s retention of the Ministry of Science and Technology, after trimming down the number of ministries sent his signals to pull back Nigeria from this regressive obscurity of Science and technology in national life. Hitherto, some federal agencies like the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) were cold- dead agencies, which existed only in nomenclature and a huge staff base. NASENI, with a gargantuan mandate ought to have been the bedrock of the development of science and technology, failed to register its presence in tackling the multifaceted challenges of a technology-driven economy of Nigeria. But the mindset and focus of Mr. President has rejigged the tale. And in NASENI specifically, an agency mandated to provide engineering infrastructure to effectively service the nation’s technological needs in consumables’, has attuned into the “change mantra” code. An archetypal, professional engineer cum administrator per excellence, Prof. Haruna, has dramatized his ingenuity in leadership of the agency, in consonance with President Buhari’s leadership of Nigeria. Buhari , who is the Executive Chairman and doubles as chairman, Governing Board of NASENI . The EVC/DG has placed the agency and its dozen institutes, perpetually on a fast rewarding lane of productivity as exposed in this interview that “NASENI has continued to design and fabricate products that have bettered the lives of Nigerians and also transferred these technologies to SMEs.” Like President Buhari, Professor Haruna unmistakably blends words with action and the vaults of NASENI under the few years of his leadership display admirable and fascinating treasures in indigenous technology. An ardent apostle of the Executive Order on Local content, the EVC has struck partnerships and synergies with local partners in enhancing the work of the agency. He has leveraged on the commonplace technological void, which afflict Nigerians, but attract huge foreign exchange expenditure to deliver his message of emancipation to Nigerians. The agency’s shadows now roam splendidly in power, industrial, education, agriculture, transport sectors as well as in mechanical re-engineering of the electronic voting system. It is to NASENI’s credit that some Nigerian communities now regale in micro-power generation liberty with the development of locally researched and produced Small hydropower (SHP) Propeller Turbines of three different models. The brainchild of the Engineering Materials Development Institute (EMDI), the Turbines are already effectively supplying 10 KW electricity to communities, like the Awara Dam facility in Ikare, Ondo state. To demonstrate his leadership prowess, NASENI under Haruna has crazily romanced technology in many novel ways. The Ikeji-ille Ijesa community in Osun state is powered by the agency’s Cross Flow Turbine , which generates up to 70 KW of electricity. And likewise, the Mada Community at Gudi hamlet, in Nasarawa state has continued to celebrate a 5 KW Kinetic Turbine installed for power supply. And further deconstructing the underbelly of hydro-power generation in Nigeria, NASENI has also developed a 10 KW Propeller Turbine, whose capacity to generate power is merely pressure from a pipe -borne water source. But with eyes set on long targets, Professor Haruna has reactivated and upgraded the 5 MW Solar panel manufacturing plant at Karshi, Abuja and converted into a limited liability company renamed as NASENI Solar Energy Limited (NSEL). At the moment, NSEL produces solar panels and modules for Nigerians. It has also developed a high voltage testing laboratory, a vital component or unit for all power generation companies. And by 2019, through a partnership with a firm in China, its capacity is planned to jerk up to 25MW and, an increased local content targeted to jump from 40- 95 percent, to land a mass production of cheaper solar panels and power transformers for domestic uses and exportation to other African nations. The agricultural sector, which is another prime sector President Buhari has targeted for attaining food security and self-sufficiency, in the bid to diversify Nigeria’s mono-economy, NASENI has registered imprints. Professor Haruna has actualized the development of efficient Deep Well hand pumps and centrifugal pumps for irrigation purposes in the pursuit of all-year farming agenda of Nigeria. Through the technique of reverse engineering, the agric sector is also infested with other goodies, as farmers can now boast of mobile cassava graters, rice threshers and harvesters, yam pounding machines, fish dryer, table top seed oil mills for easy extraction of oil from various genetic seeds. However, NASENI has pleasantly shocked Nigerians by pioneering the development of first made- in Nigeria passenger and cargo tricycles with improved features. These are low cost vehicles, and designed for the convenience of rural dwellers, intended to solve the haunting problems of haulage of agric produce from rural areas to urban market centers. It like, the EVC has a knack for scoring first. So, the Haruna led agency has also produced the first made- in Nigeria motorcycle, with 65 percent of its components locally sourced. And plans are in top gear to commence mass production anytime from now. Nigeria’s industrial sector is experiencing a blaze of glorious moments and products. NASENI has launched multiple mud brick making machines and Injection nozzles. it is producing machine components/spare parts and molds, which has sent a message to the outside world that the indigenous importation racket would soon be broken. Added, there is NASENI engineered Laterite Grinders as well as Laterite Mixers, whose proficiency is comparable to foreign ones and a lot similar interventions in the offing. And in order to vacate the perennial problem of electoral malfeasances prevalent in Nigeria and Africa generally, through credible polls, a unique solar-powered electronic voting machine (e-voting machine) has been developed. It has cloud-based collation of election results devices anywhere. Some, other outstanding features of the e-voting machine ensures and guarantees all segments of elections on the same day and time, much as conveying electronically, flawless or indisputable results. These days, national agencies and institutions like the Nigeria Airforce (NAF) have found NASENI convenient a destination for personnel and technicians training in networking tools and techniques in line with the Executive Order on local content for goods and services. This was impossible in the past, as foreign trainings would have usurped such roles for lack of a suitable, viable and functional internal agency like NASENI to render such services. It is therefore, pertinent to buttress that Professor Haruna’s leadership of NASENI is configured after President Buhari’s mindset and actions in tandem with the “change mantra.” To understand that despite the poor funding of the agency, he has been able to promenade the agency on the path of unprecedented development is commendable. Nigeria is craving for the sort of quality and focused leadership offered by Professor Haruna as the helmsman of NASENI. Its quite amazing that the results as manifest in work done is far beyond the limits of federal resources at its disposal. It again, trumpets Buhari’s message of inward search for solutions to Nigeria’s problems by the different heads in the lower rungs of leadership. No wonder, this devout and result-oriented leader, has earned the confidence of the Honorable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, another scientific guru. He has entrusted Professor Haruna with chairmanship of various committees in the ministry to illuminate the path of development in science and technology for Nigeria.

9 social good innovations that made an impact in August
Image: MINE KAFON DRONE/ KICKSTARTER; BRYCE VICKMARK/ MIT; SMART DIAPHRAGM/ UCSF; Youtube/ American Chemical Society
Socially conscious inventors are the true champions of global advance, though they are rarely recognized.
Their innovations and inventions shake up our world, tackling some of the planet’s biggest problems with bold ingenuity. From tiny contraptions that can cleanse water in a flash to spacecrafts the hell is mapping global poverty in an unprecedented style, innovations are constantly building steps toward solving massive social problems.
SEE ALSO: The 8 most impressive social good inventions from July
These nine innovations sought to tackle global inequality in August.
1. The dres line meant to help curb Zika virus
Design mockups of the repellant-laced clothing line.
Image: Maternova
Designers at Maternova, an innovation hub geared toward the needs of pregnant women, have developed a line of apparel containing insect repellent with intents of protecting expectant moms from Zika virus. The repellant used in the clothing, the designers told TakePart , protect the wearer from more than 40 types of insects and will last up to 50 washes.
The designers also say they are hoping the clothing can provide an additional layer of protection to the existing safety precautions pregnant women take to curb the spread of the virus. The project is currently hosted on crowdfunding site Republic, and it raised more than $25,000 in all regions of the month of August.
2. A minuscule gadget that disinfects water in minutes
Image: Jin Xie/ Stanford University
Harnessing the power of UV lights to kill bacteria, this tiny device many have the major power needed to eventually help clean polluted water in developing nations. A paper in Nature Nanotechnology announced the smaller, inexpensive invention in early August.
Researchers told Fast Company the device which is only half the size of a set of stamps can clean a bottle of water in 20 minutes, increasing the effectiveness of UV lights in decontamination. In comparison, it usually takes one complete day for UV rays alone to kill bacteria in the same quantity of water.
3. AI helping the Blind community identify objects
Image: Aiploy
Aipoly, a free, downloadable app for iPhone users, helps blind and visually impaired people identify everyday objects promptly. Users simply need to point their telephones at an object or coloring, and the app will tell them what it recognizes via text on the screen or its Speaking Voice setting.
While similar identification apps and technology exist for helping those with low or no vision to differentiate between currency, Aipoly’s wide catalog of various types of objects( like distinguishing between brands of soda) stimulates this tech stand out.
The app was announced as a Clearly Vision Prize semi-finalist in August, and the winners will be named afterward this year.
4. Edible food packaging made with milk
In a world dominated by plastic packaging, we need sustainable alternatives to house and preserve our food. U.S. Department of Agriculture researchers are developing a new biodegradable movie made of a milk protein called casein to assist kerb plastic-related waste and it’s even edible.
The film is also an estimated 500 times better than plastic packaging at maintaining food fresh, by maintaining oxygen away from food more effectively.
The innovative technology gained mass attention in August, and was officially announced at the 252nd American Chemical Society National Meeting& Exposition late last month.
5. An easy style to monitor electricity use in your home
Image: Bryce Vickmark/ MIT
Our tech-loving society uses a lot of energy, but many of us can’t tell for certain how much power we use in a given period of time. A single sensor devised by MIT researchers could change that, by to oversee the energy every device in your home uses.
A paper published on Aug. 1 announced the monitor a small, $30 gadget you place on the main power line of your home with a simple zip tie-in. The device can sense patterns in voltage and currents through the wire, seeing whether energy is powering a illuminate, motor or the other device and documenting when mass amounts of energy is being used.
The sensor empowers homeowners with information on their energy consumption, hopefully inspiring them to cut back to save money and the planet.
6. A drone that safely removes bombs
Image: Mine Kafon Drone/ Kickstarter
Detecting and removing landmines is dangerous and time-intensive, but the Mine Kafon Drone, which was fully funded via Kickstarter in August, is working to change this. It determines landmines and destroys them completely, without humen ever directly interacting with an area of concern.
Here’s how it runs: The droning surveys an area of land and detects landmines with a metal detector, simultaneously mapping the area. Once the ours have been mapped and detected, the drone’s operator falls detonators on top of the landmines with an limb extend from the droning. When the detonators are in place and the area is clear, the operator can blow up the mines from a safe distance using a timer.
The drone is in prototype phase, but inventor Massoud Hassani hopes to start production on the product in the next six months.
7. The diaphragm that detects labor before contractions
Image: Smart Diaphragm/ UCSF
A newly developed diaphragm dubbed the Smart Diaphragm senses changes in the cervix, seeing when a woman is about to go into labor before contractions even start.
Contractions are currently the main indicator for medical professionals to know a woman is about to give birth. But in the case of early labors, this is much too late to do anything to significantly prolong a pregnancy or address an underlying health concern, leading to more premature newborns and more opportunity of health risks for the mother.
Using the Bluetooth-powered Smart Diaphragm, doctors( and expectant mothers) can know if a woman is going to give birth up to two weeks before she actually does.
Detecting when a woman is going to give birth could be life-changing and life-saving for women and newborns, especially those living in remote rural areas who usually lack access to last-minute emergency medical care. Though iterations of the inexpensive invention have been around for years, test trials began in Kenya and South Africa in August.
8. Poverty detection via AI and satellite
A satellite image closeup of the Kiberia Slums in Nairobi, Kenya.
Image: DigitalGlobe/ Getty
Poverty is a systemic global issue, but mapping it to adequately address needs and find trends is not easy work. A new way of mapping poverty via spacecraft and AI, however, could help revolutionize how relief workers distribute aid to different parts of the world, saving the time and fund it takes to conduct on-the-ground surveys of poor regions.
In mid-August, a study published in the publication Science detailed how machine learning and spacecraft imagery are planning to map poverty in Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Malawi. While researchers acknowledge the tech won’t be replacing on-the-ground surveys anytime soon, they believe the method could even initially dramatically improve the results of aid run data and support tangible relief efforts.
9. A bot that helps low-income people fight eviction
Image: JOSHUA BROWDER/ DoNotPAy
Lawyers are notoriously expensive. Robot lawyers, however, are free. And, in some cases, these bots acting as stellar legal aids, helping low-income individuals keep their homes by advising them on eviction threats.
Stanford undergrad Joshua Browder first fabricated the bot, called DoNotPay, to opposed parking tickets for any user with a computer and a fine. But Browder released a new bot in August in partnership with Centrepoint, one of the UK’s largest youth homelessness charities to help those unable to afford legal aid fight evictions.
A user has a simple instant message-like dialogue with the bot, and the virtual lawyer then decides how to best help them based on their answers to questions. The bot then usually crafts a claims letter, filling in the information provided and potentially saving hundreds of dollars in legal fees.
