harry always fights to protect those he loves, lest we forget the battle in the department of mysteries to “save” sirius, and even those he could not care less about (ahem draco). he’s self sacrificing, literally walking to his own death in the last book to save everyone else. and on a day to day basis, he goes out of his way to include or be nice to everyone, especially those who don’t really have friends, like luna or neville. he’s less about grand gestures and sappy love, instead preferring to care for his loved ones in practical ways.

before harry went to hogwarts and met his friends, he literally received no love. petunia, vernon, and dudley would emotionally and physically abuse him. for that reason, I think harry would really appreciate someone praising him or just simply saying an “I appreciate you” or even “I love you”. also for that reason, I think physical touch might be a receiving love language for harry too.

ron weasley

oh gosh here we go, I already know there’s going to be so many “acts of service” guys on here. ron’s one of the most loyal people in the series, he’s always there for his friends and he is super selfless and protective of them. curse the movies for taking away his moment where he stands up on a broken leg to protect harry from a literal serial killer (well not really, but they didn’t know it at the time). he’s not the most, uh, articulate should we say, but he always helps his friends out.

growing up in a family as big as his, ron got cast aside a lot. I mean, his literal deepest desire was to be noticed by others and not be overshadowed. and deep down he definitely knew that his family loved him, it was just kind of hard to see sometimes since his parents’ and siblings’ attention was always so divided. (side note, as an only child I could not imagine being in a family of ron’s size; one of my best friends has two sisters and she’s one of the nicest people I know, and I definitely think there’s a correlation) so if someone were to finally notice him and genuinely love him for who he is and tell him that, it would make him so happy. finally, he’s enough as he is. finally, he feels like someone loves him.

fred weasley

quality time and acts of service are the big ones for fred. he’s willing to put himself into dangerous situations during the war (rip fred weasley, you deserved better) and the battle of seven potters. besides that, he thrives on bringing people together and making connections. he’s super friendly to everyone, a classic jokester, and he shows his love through the time he spends around people, especially george. they were always together. it hurts that they can't be anymore.

fred spent like all of his time with george when they were first starting weasleys’ wizard wheezes. granted, that was because starting a business takes a lot of time and effort, but it shows how fred is willing to spend time focusing on his passions. that led me to think he’d find it super important to spend time with his loved ones, and he would want his partner to spend a lot of time with him too. he uses humor as a defense mechanism and a coping mechanism, but deep down he knows that the war is actually dangerous and will have real consequences, such as bill getting mauled or george losing an ear. (or, you know, FRED LOSING HIS LIFE.) so he treasures every little moment with his loved ones.

draco malfoy

thinking about this was actually really hard. draco’s such a cold person, and he’s never shown love; all his selfless actions can be chalked up to fear and having no choice. so I had to look at when and why he married astoria. and this meant dipping into the cursed child, which I’ve never read fully but have read enough to be able to say I hate it and I don’t accept it. he truly did love astoria, even when his relationship with his parents suffered because of it. he became a better person because of astoria--miss  girl really said “I can fix him”. he even went so far as to disregard his father’s wishes when he wanted to let the malfoy line die with him. so I think when he really does find someone he loves, draco can be a pretty selfless person.

gosh, just how much do people suck up to him? he was treated like a king in his early hogwarts years, and he loved it. I think the deeper reason is that he grew up without a ton of verbal affection from his family, so that’s something he craves from other places--a partner, or peers. the first time he hears an “I love you”, he’d be absolutely shocked and maybe turn cold or shut down. after some time and patience from both of you, he’d slowly begin to accept praise or loving words. if he’s feeling brave, he may even reciprocate them. only when it’s in the middle of the night and he’s pretty sure you’re asleep, though.

cedric diggory

cedric spent a lot of time with cho when they were together; they would always go on dates and spend a lot of time together in between classes. it shows how much he values spending time with his loved ones. another giving love language of his is definitely quality time, because cedric is 100% a giver. he tipped harry off about the golden egg. he wanted harry to take the cup when they were in the maze. he’s just such a nice guy.

this is for two reasons. one because I want it to be, and two because did you see his face when rita skeeter ruffled his hair in the movie? the guy was not having it, but I bet if the right person did it he’d be all blushy and smiley. also when harry went to the courtyard to tell him about the dragons, he was literally laying in his friend’s lap. and I can’t remember correctly, but wasn’t it said that he and cho would constantly hold hands? yeah. enough said.

remus lupin

remus does so much for others. he was one of the best defense against the dark arts professors for a reason. and even if his competition wasn’t so poor, I’m sure he would’ve been just as popular. he’s a natural mentor and caregiver, always there for others and sometimes neglecting his own needs because of it. he engages with his students on a personal level, especially harry, and he is always willing to put himself in danger for others, as seen in the battle of seven potters and the battle of hogwarts.

this and quality time. for quality time, he spent a lot of time with his friends in school, and he spent a lot of time with harry when he was the datda professor. this time really helped grow his relationships and helped him feel close to his newfound family. as for words of affirmation, I think it’s obvious; as a kid, he never really had friends, and as a result he secretly yearns for encouragement and emotional support. kind words and whispered promises that everything will be okay. that is how remus lupin feels loved.

sirius black

sirius spent so much time with his friends when he was young. he had a really rocky relationship with his family, so he gave all of his love to his friends. he and james were practically inseparable, they had such a nice connection. on top of that, after barely any human interaction for twelve whole years in azkaban, he treasures every single moment he has with his loved ones. it’s like every time he and his partner are together, he looks at them and can hardly believe this is real. but it is real. he’s out of azkaban, he’s free, and he has such an amazing partner to spend the rest of his life with. that’s decades! (I can’t with sirius’s death, I--no. he did not die.)

sirius spent his childhood and adult life being rejected and ridiculed. that’s got to hurt, especially when he was literally in azkaban for something he didn’t do. he was so deprived of love and general human interaction for twelve years that I imagine he’d initially be kind of awkward or even scared when his partner first shows him love through praise or verbal affection. after a while though, he’d warm up and hopefully show that youthful, happy side of him again. also, he’d probably be big on quality time, since he got none of it at all during his azkaban years.

james potter

ah, finally someone who’s not acts of service or quality time! at this point I think maybe it’s just me. james is teasing and playful with his words; he’s very vocal about his affection and appreciation for his friends and loved ones. he did, after all, ask lily out pretty much every time he saw her. not at all like remus, who is a love letters and secret admirer kind of guy.

tom riddle

I don’t think voldemort could physically feel love. I sometimes wonder if tom riddle and voldemort were different people, and honestly that’s a can of worms I don’t want to get into right now. I believe there’s some sort of theory that he can’t feel love because he was conceived while his dad was under a love potion? I have no idea. the important thing is that we all know how good tom riddle was at manipulating people. flattery gets you nowhere, they say, well clearly not if you’re tom marvolo riddle, because flattery got him everywhere. so he would use words to flatter people and show his admiration or appreciation of them, but was any of it actually real? I doubt it.

honestly kind of the same deal with draco, but he's a lot worse. he wants to be treated like a king--scratch that, he wants to be treated like a god. he craves affirmation for his greatness and abilities. all his followers praise him endlessly, calling him “my lord” and sucking up to him. he also wanted his ideologies to be affirmed and supported by others. let’s face it, words of affirmation were just another way for him to prove to himself that he’s the greatest.

The men before Tyler have only ever seen you as a one night or a wife. They’ve never understood your tenacity, your wicked humour, or fierce intelligence. They haven’t stayed up all night arguing the semantics of classic cars, or spent entire weekends helping you restore the 67 Ford Musang someone had abandoned after it had totalled by a tornado. They don’t pick up that special orange blossom honey hand cream you use to keep your skin from cracking underneath the harshness of the cleaners you use to rid your hands of car oil.

You think about this when you turn up to your garage that morning to find a small pot of it resting on the doorstep along with a note that has Tyler’s name and phone number etched in tidy block capitals. He’d had to change it a couple of years ago, Boone had told you. One of his ‘fans’ had gotten hold of it, she wouldn’t stop calling.

You open the small jar and inhale the sweet, soothing scent before dipping your fingers into it and rubbing the balm over your hands. Today’s a paperwork day and you’re going to spend it tucked away in your office, dealing with the admin you’ve been putting off because you’d rather be underneath a car than filing paperwork.

You pin the phone number to the corkboard on the wall behind your desk, your fingertips lingering on the picture stuck beside it. It’s one of you and the first incarnation of the Wranglers, Tyler, Boone and Dani. Tyler’s arm is draped around your shoulders, his lips brushing over your temple as you smile at the camera. That had been before the tornado had disfigured you, before you’d needed thirty stitches to hold the left side of your face together.

You sit down in your ergonomic chair and stare at the jar of hand cream that now resides upon your desk. You know it’s an olive branch, Tyler’s way of reaching out after dismissing you the other day. This stuff doesn’t come cheap and it can only be picked up in one place in Oklahoma. The fact he’s made the four hour trek round trip speaks volumes.  

Acts of service, it’s always been his love language.

When Boone had first called you, you’d been adamant about not returning. You’d learned the hard way what happened when you went up against a force of nature.

“We just need help with the vehicles.” He had assured you. “You don’t have to come chasing with us.”

“Have you spoken to Tyler?” You’d asked him and you could hear his hesitation down the line.

“Not yet. I thought it was best if I got you on board first.” He’d said and you could imagine him playing with that fidget spinner he used to have as he talks to you.

“You know I would do anything to keep you guys safe.” You’d said quietly. “Just because I’m not around doesn’t mean I don’t care.”

“I know.” Boone had said. “And just because we’ve not been around doesn’t mean we don’t care. It’s hard for him…”

“It’s hard for me too.” You remind Boone because every time you walk down the street someone does a double take when they look at you.

You used to be such a pretty girl, an ex had told you after he’d given you a pity fuck last year, now you’re just damaged.

You’d used your keys to scratch a line along the entire side panel on his brand new SUV after he kicked you out of bed.

“You’re lucky I didn’t use acetone.” You’d told him when you’d picked up the phone to him screaming. “Keep on calling and I will.”

He’d gotten the message after that and you had kept yourself to yourself because you’d rather be alone than with someone who views you as charity case.

Your gaze strays back to Tyler’s phone number and you’re flung back into a memory, the one from after the hospital when you looked into the mirror for the first time

“You’re still the most beautiful woman I’ve laid eyes on.” He’d whispered against your mouth as he’d cradled your face between his palms, his thumb chasing over the black thread that lined your jaw. “This isn’t anything to be ashamed of, it’s just another part of your story.”

You’d believed him at the time because Tyler, he doesn’t lie, especially not to you. You’d taken solace in his words, held you head up high when you went out on the street, ignored the stares and things were good until they weren’t. There was another tornado outbreak out in Louisiana and Tyler, he just had to do the thing he loved even if it wasn’t with the person he loved.

You give up on the paperwork, you’re too distracted for that level of organisation. You set yourself to work on the Mustang instead, cranking up Zach Bryan on the sound system, singing along under you breath as you continue your restoration. You’re in the fight of your life with a rusty bolt when you hear a light rapping on open garage door behind you.

“I’m not done with you.” You threaten the bolt before you set the wrench down on the work bench and pick up a rag to clean your hands.

When you look up that your breath catches in your chest because it’s Tyler standing there, in those worn Levi’s he’s owned since his rodeo days and that orange flannel shirt you used to wear to bed at night.

“Sophie.” He says softly, his arms crossed over his chest as he leans in the doorway. “Can we talk?”

I know there’s some division over whether or not Crowley and Aziraphale would have sex. Despite not being restricted to mere mortal minds and bodies, the pair have been living amongst humans for 6000 years. They know all about sex, love, and human expression.

Aziraphale has shown us countless times that physical touch is important to him. When he’s emotional, he reaches out to Crowley instinctually. He did it in both season 1 and then even more in season 2, showing a progression of comfortability to touch him. Then you’ve got the bedroom eyes. There’s hardly a scene in season 2 where Aziraphale isn’t mentally undressing Crowley and eye fucking him into tomorrow.

Crowley on the other hand is less physical. He’s an Acts of Service through and through. But that didn’t stop him from recognizing Aziraphale’s physical touches all these years and I think a big reason why he used a kiss as his “last hurrah” if you will, to get Aziraphale to see clearly what he was trying to tell him.

Crowley has also proven to us this season that he is well aware of human love/affection. He’s smitten as a kitten in the bar scene when he is describing a situation in which two individuals are stuck under a canopy in the rain staring into each other’s eyes. He was so quick with that example, you know he’s spent time thinking about it. And for the love of all that is holy and damned - just look at his face when he’s watching Nina and Maggie through the window when he thinks they’re going to fall in love. His smile is so genuine and full of romance.

I’m not even going to get into the details of Crowley being literal walking temptation. His strut, swag, and the way he drapes himself across every surface speaks for itself.

So no. I don’t believe in the theory that an angel and a demon wouldn’t be thinking of sex like humans do. These two most certainly can and would if given the right opportunity.

I’m not saying we need an X rated sex scene. I think we do need a proper fuck though. If we can get Newt and Anathema going at it under a bed in a storm, we can get Crowley and Aziraphale nervously fumbling with each other’s buttons. Crowley stubbing his toe on the foot of the bed and cursing to all hell. Aziraphale stroking Crowley’s face the way he’s imagined it for the last millennia. Crowley calling him his angel. Tentative kisses that become almost feral. Aziraphale making a call back to how Crowley goes too fast for him, but sexy.

I want to see a headboard shaped hole in the wall and all the lights in the UK bursting as these two quite literally come together.

↳ tamlin is such an interesting character to write about and while i am not a tamlin apologist, i do think he deserves more written about him. he has so many layers that i, as a creative writer, would like to explore. so, here is a large collection of my headcanons about tamlin organized in the sfw alphabet template. enjoy, dears!

a : affection

-i think tamlin is slow to be affectionate. he's a gentleman at heart and grew up in a more traditional lifestyle. however, once you become partners or once that mating bond snaps, he will shower you in affection. this comes in the form of acts of service and providing for you. he would spend the whole day catering to your every need if you let him. when you're laying in bed, he keeps his arms tight around you. when you're in the kitchen or working on something, his hands will reach for you and pull you back into his chest. he is such a big forehead kisser too, i will accept nothing else. i imagine that he wraps you in his arms and leaves his lips on the top of your head. eek!

b : best friend

-since tamlin starts out being pretty isolated from a lot of people besides his own inner court, i would say making friends is rare for him. he has those really close bonds with people like lucien and perhaps you started working with him in a more work colleague way. slowly, you built a friendship after so much time spent together. he would be a very supportive friend who listens well. he doesn't think he's great at offering you advice so he would prefer to be in your presence and absorb every word you say, telling you that whatever choice you make is valid. tamlin also suits a friends to lovers trope very well i think.

c : cuddles

-tamlin loves feeling like a protector and when you're wrapped tight in his arms, drifting off to a safe sleep, he's in heaven. he loves to spoon you and rarely will he be the little spoon. it would take a particularly rough day for him to come to you, asking if you could hold him. he may rest his head on your chest while you enjoy a picnic by the lake but he gravitates towards holding you in any way he can.

d : domestic

-tamlin wants to settle down so bad it hurts him. he wants nothing more than to have a lifelong partner who is there for him, who he knows will be waiting on him to come home. he has dreams of you decorating his manor to your liking and, if you can, having a family together. as for his own cooking and cleaning skills, i think he relies a lot on magic to pick up after himself. instead of making the bed, he would wave his hand and it would fix the sheets immediately. i don't think he'd make you bare the weight of being the sole homemaker so if you wanted to, he'd love to help you cook or do anything around the manor.

e : ending

-i think tamlin would suck at breakups. he would feel so guilty all over for any reason he had while breaking up with someone. those feelings would overwhelm him until he convinced himself to stay by your side unless it came down to saving your life. he is willing to place your protection over his own happiness and if it came down to it, he would ensure that you knew how deep his love ran for you before he made the heartbreaking decision to send you on your way.

f : fiance

-tamlin would be quick to arrange a wedding after your mating bond snapped. he isn't scared of commitment but he is scared and insecure that after a while, you'd get bored of his presence and stop putting up with his habits. i think he'd be so happy proposing to you but as the wedding neared, he would get nervous and you could tell in the way he fidgeted any time you brought up the future. some sweet words though and he would feel much better.

g : gentle

-in some moments, tamlin could be the most gentle partner you had ever met. he would softly brush hair back behind your ear or his hand would trace delicate shapes along your spine that never failed to give you goosebumps. he's working on being more gentle emotionally, though. he can be high strung at times, and he knows this. when he feels his temper rising, he reminds himself of peaceful scenarios like waking up with you in a warm bed or swimming in the pool of stars with you. however, if you want him to be, he can be more forceful. imagine non-sexual dominance. sternly telling you to eat breakfast so you don't feel weak for the rest of the day or guiding you through unfamiliar places with a hand stuck to your waist.

h : hugs

-tamlin is such a big hugger. he loves the feeling of your body tight to his, wrapped up in his arms. he seeks out your presence after a long day of being high lord and the minute he sees you, he grabs your hand and pulls you into his chest. he stays like that for a few minutes, breathing in your scent and basking in your comforting atmosphere. if he has nothing to do in the morning, good luck getting out of bed. he'd mumble and grumble any time you try to escape his grasp. "but tam, i have to go to the bathroom really bad!" "mm-mm. not going. you're too cozy."

i : i love you

-tamlin is so the first person in a relationship to confess his love. granted, after everything that happened in his life, it would take him longer than usual and you may be the first to say it but generally, he feels everything incredibly deeply and he can't hold back those three words when he sees you enjoying the warmth of his lands or looking at him with more adoration than anyone in his life ever had.

j : jealousy

-tamlin can be a very very jealous person. especially in the beginnings of your relationship when nothing feels set in stone just yet. his jealousy never negatively affects you. he can't blame anyone for feeling drawn into your beauty and if anyone ever dares to act on those feelings, he would threaten them within an inch of their life. later that night, he'd hug you tight and mumble "all mine" into your skin while he kisses you, leaving a few more marks than he usually would.

k : kisses

-tamlin would find any time during his day to give you a kiss full of love and devotion that would nearly have your knees buckling. he is not one for quick pecks and each of his kisses hold as much as, if not more, emotion than the last. he likes kissing you on your forehead, as i said before, and your neck is one of his favorite spots. as for him, he likes having his shoulders and chest kissed. there's nothing that makes him feel weaker than when you're tucked into his chest, slowly falling asleep, and you leave lazy kisses along his exposed skin.

l : little ones

-tamlin is great around kids but he's horribly nervous to have kids of his own. on an outing to a spring court village, he played with a group of kids and he came back to you positively glowing. i really really imagine tamlin as a girl dad. he would let his daughter cover him in makeup, force a tiara on his head, and have tea parties with her. he's scared about being a bad dad to them but the minute he has his kid in his arms, every negative feeling seeps out of him and is replaced by soul-crushing love.

m : mornings

-rarely does tamlin have a morning where he has nothing on his plate. more often than not, he is rising before you and carefully slinks out of the blankets to begin his day. before he leaves to begin his duties, he will bring you a cup of tea that will stay hot and some pastries that alis made earlier. he leaves you a sweet note that never fails to make you smile.

n : nights

-sometimes, tamlin needs a little extra convincing to come to bed and all you have to do is pad out to his office, dressed in your pajamas (which is secretly his weakspot) and he'd be following after you like a puppy. he loves taking a warm bath before bed and when you're finally covered in blankets, he has to say nothing for you to curl into him. you'll stay up for a little longer, talking about your days or whispering sweet words to each other. he would never fall asleep first. he waits until your breathing evens out before closes his eyes and sleeps too. he doesn't move much through the night but if you do, his arms will subconsciously reach for you. he has to have your touch through the night.

o : open

-tamlin values honesty and loyalty. he will reveal information about him, about his past in bursts. it usually begins with surface level information before he gives in to your support and fully opens up about everything. he has to really, truly trust you to be able to tell you things. it takes him a while to be a good communicator and come to you with anything but when he does, he will hold on to your hands, stabilize his breathing, and come clean about anything bothering him.

p : patience

-tamlin is relatively quick to anger. when it comes to you, not so much. he will have significantly more patience and restraint when it comes to you. it would have to be pretty serious before tamlin would feel anger directed at you. however, when it comes to other people, tamlin has a high temper that he is learning to control. sometimes when he comes back to your bedroom, you can see the anger and tension in his body. he'll sit on the edge of the bed and without a word, you'd come up behind him and work your hands into his shoulders. he'd visibly relax and melt into your touch. his anger is nothing when compared to his appreciation for you.

q : quizzes

-tamlin remembers everything about you. you aren't sure how he does it. when you're out shopping or roaming a town, he will remember the jewels that your eyes lingered on for a second longer than the rest of them. he will remember your favorite books, the way you take your tea, how you like the bed to be made, your favorite perfumes, your favorite style of clothing. if you told him you like something in passing, he will take a note of it and stores it in a little drawer in his brain.

r : remember

-tamlin's favorite moment in your relationship has to be when he proposed to you. he knew how much you enjoyed roaming the rose gardens his father gifted his mother and decided he'd do something similar. one afternoon, he cleared out his entire schedule, telling lucien to watch the court while he took you out to a far end of his estate. he had it expanded to contain a garden made of your favorite flowers. he walked with you to the middle and just as you were admiring the beautiful flora, he got down on one knee and the look in your eyes permanently etched itself into his brain and he frequently remember the memory on bad days.

s : security

-tamlin is a protector. it's the role that he loves and thrives in. he wants to help you and keep you safe against everything. however, he knows to rein in that instinct now. you won't be going on any particularly dangerous missions soon but he will gladly allow you to come along with him to his high lord duties and grants lucien permission to teach you self-defense. in actual danger, tamlin would lay down his life to protect yours. he's pushing you behind his body, holding his arm out, taking down anyone who poses a threat to your safety. if the tables turn, though, and it's your turn to protect him, he will be forever grateful. he will spend his entire life trying to repay you for the debt.

t : try

-the high lord of the spring court enjoys a celebration and enjoys a reason to spoil you. anniversaries, holidays, and birthdays are very important to him. he will remember the date, acquire gifts, and shower you with affection all day. in every day life, he makes a point to show you love even when stuck in high lord duties. he has alis prepare your favorite foods, clothes appear in your closet, notes are left around your room, and when he can, he will come to meals with you. dinner with you every single night is required unless it is a life or death situation.

u : ugly

-tamlin holds a lot of self-resentment and he has so many walls that he put up to protect himself against pain. like i wrote before, he also has a high temper but he's slowly found ways to work out the frustration and anger he feels. he doesn't get the best sleep either. not only does he stay up late but he sleeps lightly, meaning most noises and movements wake him up.

v : vanity

-i don't think tamlin has to do much to look good. he wakes up and you find yourself in awe of the ethereal man before you. his golden hair falls perfectly on the pillow and throughout the day, it lays perfectly on his shoulders. his physique does not need much upkeep except for regular trainings with lucien or other sentries. the only thing that preoccupies his mind is his clothing. his tunics must be neatly pressed and if he had to dress up for anything, his clothing would be made of the best possible material.

w : whole

-tamlin has gone a while without a lifelong, stable partner and he used to feel fine with that fact. however, since he has met you, he feels incomplete without you. he feels as though you are his other half, you are his good side, he is not himself when he is not with you. his attitude changes after he spends a long time apart from you. he's mopey and more agitated than usual. however, as soon as he can spend his mornings and nights with you again, he feels at peace.

x : xtra

-he enjoys using his shapeshifting powers and showing them off around you. while his beast form can be utterly horrifying, you don't feel threatened at all, knowing that underneath, it is simply your love. on days when he's feeling goofy or flirtatious, he'll change into his form, find you exploring the forest, and nudge you for attention. he won't stop until you pet him even though his form towers over you entirely. you don't mind cuddling up with his beast form either! even with magic ensuring the court stays in spring, he sometimes can't help the cold breezes that pass through, casting a chill over the lands. during these times, you revel in the warmth he radiates.

y : yuck

-tamlin would not like a partner that is rude to others. he values the people who work in his manor, who live in his village, who staff his army. he would be immediately turned off if you were to be rude to any one of them. as for general things he dislikes, i think he doesn't enjoy storms and prefers gentle weather where sun peaks through the curtains and it's just warm enough outside. i imagine that he has a very refined food palette but he is particular about his food as well. his meats need to be cooked perfectly and if something tastes off, he will not scold anyone or become upset but simply not eat.

z : zzz

-tamlin snores very softly but it's quite a comforting noise that often lulls you to sleep. since he's musically inclined, he would enjoy humming lullabies in your ear while he spoons you. he needs to touch you throughout the entire night and even when his fear of losing you starts to dissipate, the habit continues. on nights when he feels restless, he will slowly slip out of bed, down to the kitchen, where he will make some tea infused with some great sleep aids.

i’d say you’re in the same school as them, probably in the same classes. you would softly wake seishiro whenever classes are over because he always asks for snacks from you when he misses lunch.

as for reo, he met you through sei, who would tell him stories about how you always give him snacks.

(he also found out that if you’re there nagi has motivation to actually play soccer with him).

when they joined blue lock, the three of you stayed in touch (after they got their phones back and catching up with you) and met up during on their two week break.

positions depend on the mood but i’d imagine that you would be in the middle, since reo and sei are quite tall they love to be the big spoons. sei is in front of you while reo is behind your back.

sei’s face is always on your neck/collarbone while reo’s head is resting in your hair (he thinks your hair smells nice). reo also holds the both of you while you and sei are in each other's arms.

(don’t worry, reo also gets his fair share of cuddles)

onto their love languages, i believe sei’s love language is quality time and physical touch imo, reo is definitely giving gifts and acts of service.

jokes aside, all i can think of right now is you met them at a meeting with the new gen 11 team, probably discussing stuff (quite irrelevant). moving on—

you could be a manager or some sort and kaiser took an interest in you, very much flirting with you. and then sae saw the two of you and moved kaiser away from you thinking he (kaiser) was making you uncomfortable.

honestly don’t know how you got sae’s attention but id say you always paid attention to him whenever he’s alone after practice, or giving him towels and water on the occasion he practises late.

as for kaiser, simple enough he just thinks you’re pretty, and over the time he found you interesting. so he keeps on asking you how amazing his goal was, or purposely lifting his shirt to wipe off his sweat to show his abs in front of you. honestly anything to tease you and see your face flushed.

Both but I think Harry takes a little longer to get comfortable with it and how they do changes overtime. I imagine after the war they don’t immediately talk about everything that’s happened but Ginny just hugs him tightly because she thought he died. -Brad's love languages are acts of service, quality time and gift giving: any kind of gesture that he can later justify saying he did it for his own benefit or amusement. Acts of service? Oh, no, I manipulated you by doing a good thing for you and now you owe me (never going to ask that favour back). Quality time? I enjoy watching you being pathetic, it amuses me. Gift giving? A bit trickier, but "there was a discount at Starbucks if I ordered two drinks/I found this at the flea market/a book, so maybe you'll spend your time reading instead of annoying me/you cannot show up to a meeting with Montreal with that tie, consider this a necessary purchase for the company".

-David's love languages are all of them, but trying a bit too hard. The kind of things that would make anyone go "that's pathetic", except, if you loose the fake coolness for a moment, they're actually very sweet. Lots of compliments. Gifts with a 50/50 rate of success (the successful ones are usually Ducktales themed). Afternoon spent renting a small paddleboat in the park lake (David falls into the water). He had the upper hand because David was gifting him coffee, surely no ripercussions, especially emotional ones, would come out that situation. Brad was winning and he had everything under control.

-David is surprisingly self-reliant. Here went Brad thinking he'd have to beat his partner with a stick to let him have some alone time, but David is way less clingy than one could imagine. He has a lot of hobbies (many stereotypical suburban dad hobbies, but still): cycling, barbecue, music (he is still trying to learn to play the guitar), meditation ("It really helps, Brad, you should try it!"), cooking (with...various results), Turkish soap operas ("My wife" "Ex-wife" "used to watch them, so to bring a spark to the relationship I started watching them with her, you know, to spend more time together, and now we're divorced but I am still hooked") and more. If you leave him alone, David will find something to do. David says it has to do with his childhood, only child and all that, he's used to lonely afternoons, he learned how to fill them. The rapidity he takes up hobbies with is frankly impressive. Brad hates to admit it, but sometimes he finds himself to envy how many pasttimes David gets up to. It's incredible for such a lively person full of interests to pass so often as a boring one. Brad will (secretly gladly) hear about David talking about his million hobbies.

-David learns Brad's birthday and never forgets it. He makes a big deal out of it the forst time, organising a surprise birthday party, just like he did when Zack told him it was Brad's birthday. Brad is not at all pleased by the situation, until he remembers birthday parties mean gifts, to him. That's the only reason he's willing to forgive David for making all that fuss.

-It becomes second nature for Brad to buy David's favourite cookies everytime he sees them. At some point they have 5 unopened boxes in the kitchen. Brad is appalled by his own stupidity while David beams with love.

-David speaks a decent (canadian) french, Brad speak a France french and costantly makes fun of David's accent. But they use their knowledge of french to talk shit about people in MQ without them understanding, especially Poppy and Ian.

-They almost stop speaking to eachothers, even before they get together, due to Brad's ED, because it's not something Brad wants to confront, but David can't repress his worry. Brad starts making small steps and David makes sure to be a comforting presence along the way, without being a smothering one. He makes sure Brad eats something everyday, often by having lunch/dinner with him.

-David is a child when it comes to alchohol. Literal child. He pretends to enjoy whisky, because that's what men his age do, but he doesn't. He is a simple red wine/white wine/beer man (that's the only distinction he does, he wouldn't know a pinot grigio from a cabernet), and he doesn't even handle it that well. Brad is an absolute snob when it comes to liquors and his knowledge in alchohol ties directly with the social value it brings in a conversation with rich people. David is an affectionate drunk, which Brad hates in public because how is he supposed to keep his cool when David hugs him and declares his love for him in front of anybody who cares to listen?

-The day David started asking people's opinion on shaving his moustache was the day Brad had to reluctantly and embarrassingly admit he liked David's moustache too much to risk see it gone. David kept the moustache and never let Brad live that down. The endless teasing made Brad reconsider the tragedy of a clean-shaven David, but it was already too late.

-David's obnoxious with petnames, really, Brad can't understand the unironical appeal in being called "baby", "honey", "dear". Well, actually dear is not the worst. The worst was Brad-bear, and, as a matter of a fact, it had never been repeated after it fatally escaped David's mouth and Brad looked at him like he was trying to kill him with mind-powers. It really is a testament to how sloppy Brad has become since he's with David, because it takes him a while to understand that David is trying to be smart, to be subtle, and failing miserably. He is attempting some sort of influence. So one day, after taking the mochaccino David bought for him, Brad goes "Thank you, darling" and David can't help but smile, blabbering something like "I-It's nothing, really". It's the little things, Brad thinks drinking his mochaccino.

-Brad starts using polish petnames for David. Even when David has no idea what they mean, he is incredibly happy to hear them. Only half of them are sort of insults.

-David has secretly started to learn polish, even though it doesn't come so easy to him. He practices it in secret in Sue's office.

-Brad has gifted David a wolf plushie. David loves it.

-David has made Brad several Spotify playlist which Brad refuses to listen to (or so he told David).

-Despite great insistence, David did not manage to get Brad to do a couple costume with him on Halloween. David still showed up with half of the couple costume. Brad tried to convince other people he wasn't David's date, to spare himself the embarrassment. And it was also working with people who didn't know him and David directly if he didn't have a ring on his finger and the words "my husband, David" didn't roll on his tongue so naturally.

-David refuses to admit he found Brad very hot in Everlight when he was fighting with the sword because he is aware, the moment that slips out, Brad will find a way to use a sword again, possibly in public, explicitly to tease him. And David is a man who knows his limits, and knows he couldn't handle it.

-David is somewhat unaware of how much Brad has softened with him, because Brad is still very sharp and sarcastic around him. David doesn't think Brad is cold towards him, but still, he thinks, 80% of the time and always in public, Brad is still pretty much Brad, he just insults him a little less. From an external point of view, anyobody who has ever met Brad can tell he is another person when it comes to David, 200% kinder than usual. When Brad "insults" David is more of a playful jab about his fashion sense or being a pushover, when Brad insults anyone else is a call from Carol in HR for Brad and, for the unlucky soul, new material for the next 5 session with their therapist.

-Contrary to popular belief (at least about Brad), David and Brad are not a very "glamorous" couple. When they first got together, people at MQ thought that David was the boring one and Brad was going to bring excitement and dare into his life. There were a lot of jokes on David not being able to keep up with Brad's lifestyle. Truth is, apart from work related events, Brad doesn't like to go out and mingle too much, unless he has a specific purpose. Outside MQ, they are the most ordinary boring middle-aged queer couple you could ever meet. At least that's the image they project in David's neighbourhood (which is not a cool, fashion neighbourhood like the one in which Brad lives). Then Brad proceded to tell him that for him that was the greatest love gesture he could think about (after all, everyone knows that stealing Scrooge McDuck's number one would have brought to his end, Brad is metaphorically trusting David with his life)."I think...I don't say this lightly, and I will say it only once, but I think...you are to me the only person as important as my number one. -One could say that the moment he started dating Brad, David stopped with the freudian slip of calling "his wife" his ex-wife, but the truth is, since he started dating Brad, he just stopped mentioning his ex-wife that much.

-David's ex wife and Brad met. Brad's takeaway from that encounter, after David asked him what he thought of it, was "Good. I am better than her, so I have nothing to worry about".

-For the longest time, they don't meet eachothers parents. They justify it saying they're not teenagers anymore, they don't need the family approval, but people at MQ start to point out it's weird they have been together for such a long time and they haven't met eachothers' family. The thing is both David and Brad have a terrible relationship with their families. David's parents wouldn't even care and Brad's parents would only be disappointed by his choice in a partner (whatever partner really: they would either be a looser or much better than Brad and that's why they will eventually leave him). They talk about it, way before they actually end up meeting eachothers' family (in both cases, unwillingly). "At least your brother likes me, I think. He seemed nice with me. Or because you don't like your brother it's actually a bad thi-" "My brother hates you, David. He thinks you're weak and pathetic." "...there goes my hope-" "It makes me like you more." "Oh. -The way they meet David's parents is objectively funny, if you aren't the people directly involved. David's parents are arguing again, something about a beach house his mother obtained with David rights on Christmas (yes, the agreement wasn't "I take the beach house, you can have Christmas with David" but "since I get Christmas with David, I am entitled to the beach house, as compensation". Carol reminded David one more time she wasn't his therapist, but even she admitted that was pretty shitty). Because David doesn't spend Christmas with his parents anymore, the beach house is open for dibs, again. Mr Brittlesbee and ex-Mrs. Brittlesbee rang David's door at 8 in the morning on Saturday, just to find a black haired guy in a Ducktale t-shirt opening the door. They apologised for coming to the wrong house (and bickered accusing one another not to know where their son lived).

"David" shouted Brad.

"Mhyeah?" answered David, still in bed.

"How do your parents look like?"

"Why- why are you asking me that?" replied David, suddenly way more awake.

"I think I just met them, but now they're ringing at every door in the neighbourhood."

It was a morning not easily forgettable. The Senior Brittlesbees took a while to grasp the concept of bisexuality, while Brad had understably given up making a good impression, but still managed not to escalate the situation by being silent and bringing the Brittlesbees cups of fresh-made coffee. -Metting with Brad's parents didn't really go any better. To be fair, the meeting was set as a surprise by Zack in order to humiliate Brad, just for the fun of it. He had already understood there was something going on between Brad and David, but when he heard they were officially a couple he didn't waste time to use the information to his advantage. It didn't go well, but at least Brad and David could officially say that was out of the way. Brad's parents lamented Brad choosing someone almost "softer" than he already was. Brad felt prouder than ever for his choice.

-Brad and David fought over Jo being the best woman at their wedding. And they didn't only fight between themselves, they tried to bring Jo on their respective side with any means. When it comes to persuasion though, it's Brad's favourite field and he ended up taking Jo. They were on the verge to call out wedding because David couldn't find a best man or woman (Ian tried to propose himself for the role, but David politely ignored him for 2 months making up excuses). In the end, Sue was David's best woman.

-David cried at their wedding. In several points of the wedding. Some people asked if he was being forced to marry. He was just very happy and emotional.

Prompt: Armand explains the bookshelves to Daniel while they wait for Louis. Louis later arrives. Missing scene from before season 2x01 begins.

“So you’re off the record?” 

“It’s not my interview.” And yet he’s sitting here. 

“Could you at least explain the bookshelves?” Asked Daniel. It’s been pressing him. “Off the record.” While they wait. 

Armand sat more upright in his chair. “You would be right in assuming they are more for my benefit than Louis. Though, it’s not what you think.” 

“I only think it’s weird you keep them up where he can’t reach.” And that's just the start of his list of weird things going on between them. "Makes you look like a bully taking a guys lunch money."

“They’re Louis gift to me, Mr.Molloy." He stated like he was too dull to get it, "I wouldn’t mind either way where we keep our books. He just gives me services to perform for him, it helps in keeping me from...”

“From?”

He blinked a few times. If Daniel wasn't mistaken he was embarrassed by it. “Acting out.” 

“You act out when Louis doesn’t need things from you?” That would be embarrassing. And not any less weird.

“Sure.” Daniel wrote more notes down, flipped his pad of paper to a blank page, then handed the floor to Louis. “You were on the ship to Europe.” 

“Excuse me.” Armand got up, taking his tablet with him, Louis eyes trailed him as he left.

“We’d been surviving off rats, or I was, Claudia would indulge herself with one of the crew in careful intervals….” Louis said this, and went on, and on, it took little prodding around to get him to explain the voyage and what'd came after. This was clearly a period where he was just being led along, and so was Daniel it seemed. His mind was still elsewhere. Still on Armand. 

He didn’t trust him at all.

Grand Admiral Thrawn - The SFW Alphabet 🦋

This is the counterpart to my NSFW alphabet. Thank you all so much for reading my works, that means so much to me! 🥹

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Thrawn is not a pda kinda person. He rather shows his affection in acts of service. Behind closed doors he has to get used to physical affection at first. It starts with his hand resting a bit longer on your back than usual, and you go from brief hugs to cuddling up with him in a matter of weeks. Thrawn finds that he enjoys holding you close to his heart.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Having Thrawn as your bestie comes with certain advantages. He would take you to art exhibitions, museums and concerts. He is a loyal friend to have, and he sees your potential. He will make sure you become the best version of yourself you can be. That does not only apply to your work, but for your personality too. Thrawn helps you overcome your insecurities and encourages you to try new things. Being friends with him makes you stronger in so many ways. Your friendship would probably start when you work under his command, that's how you meet, and he's intrigued by you from the very beginning.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Chiss in general are not big on showing physical affection. He will get used to it for you though, but only in private. If you share a bed both of you have a way better sleep when cuddled up together.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He never thought about settling down. It seemed impossible for him, given his rank and very busy lifestyle. Then he met you, and once you are in a relationship, it won’t take long for the thought of settling down to cross his mind for the first time. As for cooking and cleaning, there are droids for both tasks aboard the Chimera. That doesn't mean he can't do it himself, he just doesn't have to, and I don't picture him being a five star cook, just good enough to cook simple meals and not burning them. He could learn if he wants to though, if he set his mind to it, but he's way too busy with his job and all.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He would bluntly say that he wants to end things and why. He keeps his emotions in check as usual. No drama with tears on his side.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He would have to be sure he's with the right person first. He's also very busy, means you should have spent enough time together before he even considers proposing to you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Physically he's very gentle, he would never hurt you on purpose. Emotionally he can be blunt sometimes. He says what needs to be said and doesn't sugarcoat it. Apart from that, he always makes sure you feel loved and appreciated.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

After getting used to hugging you, he seeks out the warmth of your embrace more often than not in private. He's sensitive, feeling you against him with your scent filling his nose gives him an instant serotonin boost. He needs that in his otherwise dull Imperial life. Chiss have a higher body temperature than humans, therefore his hugs are always warm. He's likely taller than you, so when he hugs you, you feel an almost overwhelming feeling of safety and belonging, like you're wrapped in a warm blanket that smells so good.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Oh boy, it takes some time. You will probably be the one who has to say it first. I imagine Thrawn hasn’t had many partners and doesn't want to scare you off declaring his feelings for you. Once you tell him you love him he will either say it right back or needs some time to process your words first and then tells you when you least expect it. Please be patient with him. He's an autistic Chiss and putting his emotions into words can be a bit hard for him at times.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Anyone can get jealous and Thrawn is no exception. However, he doesn't express his jealousy with toxic behavior. He simply reminds you what he has to offer, spending as much extra time with you as his stressful job allows him to.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His lips are surprisingly soft and his kisses mostly turn from gentle to deep and passionate. He enjoys the taste of you on his tongue, whether from your mouth or your skin. He has all the sweet spots on your body memorized and vice versa. He loves when you tug on his hair while kissing him.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Nobody would expect the stoic Grand Admiral to be good with children, but you're in for a surprise. Thrawn listens to them, takes what they say seriously, and shows his softer side around them that only very few people have seen. He doesn't know how to play with them though. Games would have to be explained to him if the rules aren't obvious. He would actually be a good father.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

In the Imperial Navy you get up early. No problem for Thrawn since he doesn't require much sleep, but when you share a bed with him he would rather hold you and spoil you in bed until noon. He has important matters that require his attention though, so the typical morning starts with taking a shower together and a cup of caf before you start your day.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

A SFW night with him includes lots of cuddling, you reading a holonovel in bed or watching holodramas while he's working on his datapad until long after you've fallen asleep in his arms, and whispered words of affection in a mix of Basic and Cheunh. Thrawn is always the big spoon, no question.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Thrawn is a very private person. When it comes to himself, his heritage and his people, he is careful how much he reveals about it to others. It takes time to gain his trust, but gradually he opens up. Again, be patient with him.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Thrawn is a very patient man. Patient and disciplined. Even if he gets angry, he's not someone who would yell or throw a temper tantrum. He can be angry and hide it behind that indifferent facade he keeps up. To be honest, the only thing that gets him riled up like that are Krennic’s antics. He finds that man insufferable.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Thrawn takes mental notes of everything. Tbh I think sometimes he doesn't even realize he's doing it. You are important to him, so he puts an extra effort into remembering what you like and dislike, and every bit of information he learns about you is filed away in his mind.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

It's the moment he realizes you sincerely care about him. Not just about him as a Grand Admiral, but as a person. You listen to him, even when he talks about art for hours, you are curious about him, and ask his opinion about things that don't involve military strategies. You see beyond his beneficial skill set and truly love him - Mitth’raw’nuruodo - a simple man who just happens to have an extraordinary mind.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

This man would protect you with his life. That's why he's reluctant about admitting his feelings to you at first, because it makes your relationship a thing. Being in a relationship with Thrawn puts a target on your back. To keep you safe he keeps you close, and your relationship must remain a secret until it's more serious.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Since Thrawn has everything memorized, you can expect him to never forget anniversaries, dates and tasks. You need to be flexible though, his job can get in the way last minute more often than not. Thrawn knows what you like and has an exquisite taste, so when you receive a gift from him it's either something you have wished for or something you didn't know you needed. Any gifts you receive are of practical or valuable nature - never anything trashy or too common.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He has trouble relaxing after work sometimes, which leads to him keeping some of that ‘I’m a Grand Admiral, I’m in charge’ mentality outside work. It's not getting toxic though, you just have to remind him when he's doing it. He will apologize and try to relax. In a relationship you are equal partners after all.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Thrawn keeps his looks impeccable during working hours. He has his routine, keeping up a neat appearance. Away from work in his quarters you won't find him in his pristine white uniform though. That's when he wears a black tank top, loose sweatpants, no shoes and his usually slicked-back hair is a bit disheveled. (You love running your hands through those soft blue-black strands)

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Look, until he met you Thrawn was convinced he didn't need anyone by his side. The only thing he missed was his home - the Chiss Ascendency. When he fell in love with you his feelings and priorities shifted. He tried everything not to get attached to you, and told himself these feelings would pass if he ignored them. Oh how wrong he was. You've come a long way since then and Thrawn has accepted that it's you who completes him. Without you by his side it feels like a part of himself is missing. He hates that feeling, especially on campaigns away from you.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Thrawn is very tidy. He will never leave a mess anywhere, and always puts objects back to where they belong. Same goes for his appearance of course. Lint on his white uniform is a no-no for him.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

In general he dislikes disobedience by subordinates in his job since it can cause his plans to fail, and with it entire missions. It's quite obvious that he's against the Empire’s xenophobia. In a partner he would never accept someone who's xenophobic or finds him attractive just because he's an alien. Disloyalty and dishonesty are also a big turnoff for him.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

He prefers sleeping with you in his arms being the big spoon. He could listen to your heartbeat for hours, it helps him relax. Thrawn doesn’t require much sleep though.
