Keep in mind, the tongue plays a big role in life and in music 🎶 – it gets a lot of ACTION! Particularly when it comes to sex, that tongue 👅, well, it truly tongues 👅 it up 😈! 🎙 Louis Tomlinson, the handsome, former 🎙 One Direction hunk that he is, possesses 💿 Faith in the Future. WOO! That faith, of course, arrived in 2022. And amid that faith, on track 11, Mr. Tomlinson speaks in 🎵 “Silver Tongues” – can I get an amen 🙌? Anyways, Tomlinson brings expressive, nuanced vocals to the table. This comes as no surprise, given the fact he always possessed a sweetness to his pipes. Adding to the charm is the firm presence of his British 🇬🇧 accent 💪.

Of course, a tuneful melody, particularly during the centerpiece, the chorus, goes a long way.

Interestingly, “Silver Tongues” appears to be a ballad initially. This characterization, however, changes soon enough. It transforms into this driving pop/rock song with ample energy. There are some marvelous music cues such as the hard-hitting drums, prominence of piano 🎹, guitars 🎸, and a wall of sound. Given the fab backdrop, there are some nice instrumental moments between sections of the song. During the bridge, there is contrast to previous sections, yet it isn’t too different – balance, if you will. All told, “Silver Tongues” bears strong songwriting by Tomlinson, 🎼 ✍ David Sneddon, Joseph Cross (who also 🎛 produces), and Theo Hutchcraft. Faith in the Future, INDEED!
