The Shield Raised Masterpost

Shield Raised is a series of drabbles about my stoic, awkward Trevelyan, Gal, and his romance with Dorian. a.k.a., “A Marcher nearly-templar, a Tevinter altus, and a slow understanding.” The Inquisition-era ones (though not the pre- and post-game ones) are collected on AO3 here.

Pre-Inquisition

sans peur et sans reproche: Basically, Gal’s angsty backstory. Chantries, angry young men and controlling mothers.

Haven

Rejection: The Herald has barely spoken since he arrived. (Josephine, Gal and the beginning of a tentative friendship.)

Futures: Dorian thinks the supposed Herald of Andraste is rather… odd.

The Measure: Dorian, Gal and a slow understanding. Also Dorian working out. Because apparently that’s important?

Drinking with the Tevinter: The Inquisition isn’t happy having someone from the Imperium in its ranks. Gal feels rather differently.

Questions and Answers: Gal gets upset and a bit drunk and finally opens up about his past. That’s pretty much it.

pictures in the snow: The attack on Haven and Gal’s apparent death.

Skyhold

Crossing: Turns out Gal’s alive. Cue Skyhold, UST and a step forwards.

Mamihlapinatapei: Promptfic. Mamihlapinatapei - The look between two people in which each loves the other but is too afraid to make the first move.

Sweet Nothing: The companions attempt to be helpful because the UST is getting painful to watch. Gal and Dorian do not appreciate it, but it gives them food for thought.

Liminal: Dorian tries to deal with being chucked into the Fade, and then with his father, and lines are crossed. Angsty as hell, even by Shield Raised standards.

Out Of My Head: Post-Last Resort Of Good Men. Dorian gets drunk, tries not to snog Gal and is homesick.

Answers: In which they finally spit it out. Only took them 21k.

Rumours: A revised and improved rewrite of “Answers.” Blech, kissing.

Attachment: Some fluff, some angst, some snogging. In the aftermath of That Kiss, Gal and Dorian try to work out what this thing between them is.

Truths: Homesickness, making out, and Dorian playing the “what, of course I’m not falling for him, what do you mean I called him amatus, I don’t even know what that means” game.

Promises: “Wishing but wondering, wounded and wistful. What if he doesn’t want me after?” A seduction, and Dorian waiting to get his heart broken. As usual.

the light of day: In which all the companions have an opinion. Of course.

Chess: Gal gets trounced at chess by a twelve-year-old. Oh, and he and Irene talk about happiness.

Pretexts: SFW, despite subject matter. Gal attempts to find time to do some “paperwork.” Said paperwork has a moustache.

Gifts, and surprises: Two short drabbles for the prompts “Did you do this?” and “So uh. I noticed you’re kinda naked. Is that intentional, or… ?” Gal and Dorian attempt to be spontaneous, with varying levels of success.

Sers: SFW, but written for #sexlaughterhonesty Week and the theme “coitus interruptus”. In which a messenger is privy to too much.

A Request: Short snippet. Josephine and Gal, pre-Winter Palace.

Formality: Why they got scruffy!Gal at Halamshiral, despite Josephine’s wishes.

A letter found on the Inquisitor’s desk: For the Dragon Age 100 prompt “Family.” Gal and an old friend from the Chantry days.

The Golden Floor: Halamshiral fluff, and why dancing can sometimes be an act of bravery.

Kohl: The adventures of Gal and Dorian and their battles with eyeliner. Does a little bit of timeline-hopping.

Post-game

A Problem: Spans from shortly after their meeting to post-game. About 7k. Dorian and his struggles with The Dreaded L Word.

The Hangover: The big “we survived” celebration. Gal finally gets truly, astonishingly drunk, and emotional honesty happens. Much to his horror. Also: sorbet.

it’s running you with red: A short, miserable red-templar!Gal drabble.

Birthright (AO3): Another of the not quite fairy tales: the Cinderella AU no-one asked for. In a world where things happened slightly differently, Dorian takes a masked ball as a chance to covertly investigate this Inquisition he’s heard so much about. It’s only one night. Not much can go wrong. Can it? (Spoiler: The answer is yes. Or it can go very, very right.)

“Omnia mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis.” (All things change, and we change with them.) For a prompt. In which a time travel experiment goes wrong and Dorian ends up meeting a very sad eighteen-year-old stuck-in-the-Chantry Gal.

The Knight Shop stuff (modern-ish fluff-ish AU)

Terms & Conditions - The problem with distinguished old houses is that they tend to fall down around your ears when ignored for a decade. Dorian needs a handyman (possibly a whole squad of them). Gal is... well, a one-man most-of-a-squad. Or a knight.

Revenge - Gal’s all pink round the edges due to the Shop’s newest customer. Time for Alistair to tease him relentlessly about it. “I didn’t know ‘seventeenth-century villain’ was your type, but whatever works for you…”

Q. What is Godhead's desire for mankind (Jeremiah 29) to attain and why? For man to 'progress' and 'abound' in spiritual strength, understanding, discernment (Philippians 4, Daniel 12) and being acquainted with Christ (2 Peter 3 Living Bible). So that he may be enabled to 'be on guard' lest he fall (Genesis 3) unto Empire errors (2 Peter 3 Living Bible, Genesis 4,11, Revelation 13,17).

Q. What does being 'on guard' means? To be elected by Godhead into a messenger (Isaiah 62, Ezekiel 33) according to (Psalm 51) the genuine priesthood of believers (Hebrews 12 Last Days Bible)

Q. Being a messenger, what can one expect to be Bestowed unto him by Godhead? Divine rights, powers, privileges (Philippians 1) and attributes, even glories (Galatians 2 English Standard Version) which is identical with the Godhead (Philippians 2 Contemporary English Version, 1 Peter 2,4-5 Living Bible), therefore celestial glory (Romans 8).

Q. As said to us by the words 'progress' and 'abound', what therefore is celestial glory or eternal progression? As taught by messengers and as they bestow it in turn to all who would adhere to them (Hebrews 2, 2 Timothy 1), it is concerning mankind reaching the stature of Godhead in full glory of stature, nature and state of being, as reflected with the continuity of marriage and family-building in heaven (1 Timothy 4 Expanded Bible, see January 7, 2017 [Ephesians 2, Luke 13] and March 21, 2014 [1 John 3, Romans 5]).

Q. What can a messenger do as empowered to him by Godhead? (Matthew 19, John 3) To build and increase (Matthew 16) churches for the Commondominion of Christ (2 Thessalonians 1 New Living Translation) where he could relate the divine revelations entrusted unto him (Ephesians 4 Norlie's Simplified New Testament)

Q. What kind of churches are built by new messengers sent continually by Godhead, therefore they are only belonging indeed to the Commondominion of Christ? Ready to suffer under Empire harassment just to deny Empire's pleasure and gratification (1 Peter 4 Living Bible)

Q. What Empire errors must we be on guard against therefore we need to be placed under a genuine celestial glory process? Empire's thrust to make people more ignorant through the hoard and hijack of Central Archives (1 Timothy 4 Living Bible) Empire's thrust to insist on Baal-raising and arrogant worship, prayer, preaching and broadcasts (Ephesians 2 Easy to Read Version) Empire's thrust of liberalism: STF on the editorial of their October 2017 newsletter had officially indicted Commondominion values (preservation of the white race, anti-sodomy, patriarchy for the home) as rather purported 'works of darkness' (see August 11, 2013 and May 23, 2015 [Isaiah 5]). But it must be also recalled that in the same issue, STF quoted Ecclesiastes 9: 'their love [claims for sodomy], their hate [hostility against us] has now been long forgotten, neither shall they have part in anything done under the sun.' This only proves that Empire could no longer have Godhead's light anymore (see December 17, 2017 [Psalm 56]).

Q. How we can be sure that Empire indeed could no more give true celestial glory and patriarchal blessings? For they say and claim to be of Christ and is Christian purportedly by virtue of His Blood (Matthew 23) when in fact they're indeed not (1 John 2 Living Bible). Godhead already revealed to your Commondominion that we here are still redeemed by Godhead but not in ways Empire expects: through us her leaders (Matthew 16,7, John 10, 1 John 2).

Q. How can we be sure hence that celestial glory and patriarchal blessings can only be availed in the Commondominion of Christ as much as it has been entrusted with new messengers and multiple churches? For Godhead (Hebrews 10) has changed the priesthood, even the headship of the true church (see January 7, 2017 [Luke 13, Ephesians 2], October 10, 2015 [Colossians 1, Ephesians 1]), that is 'the mind' of the Church (Romans 12 New Life Version): Godhead is no longer the Head of the Empire but rather of the Commondominion, and to distinguish her from Empire's claims Godhead has empowered the messengers or the Central Administration to share in secondary powers to the headship of the true religion state (Acts 20 and Revelation 1 Lamsa). Notice: Romans 12 was read on March 3, 2017, anniversary of Joseph's firstborn firstfruit from Canada, Lady Kirsten Wicklund-Steele. Joseph- STF reported that they began pitching in the new Constantinian chapel- the biggest for 2017- in Joseph's homeprovince nearby his hometown and birthplace, by March 19, 2016, when Edward preached in Canada.

Q. In what can we know that the Commondominion of Christ is purchased by the Blood of Godhead to her salvation? Notice that Empire has already deleted the word 'purchased' in our Lamsa Translation. This they did due to yokebearers (the Body of Christ) related to Purchase in New York such Ladies Lauren Berthelot, Hilly Bodin, Nicki Loud and Sir Chase Madigan. (Psalm 139) These yokebearers have all attested about said place being 'hilly' (Isaiah 2, 2 Peter 2) as STF would often refer to the chapel they began constructing on March 19, 2016 (Mormon 1). Of course we have not only the Body but also the Blood of Christ- in the Manning that we allow people to partake in the divine nature through our ministry (2 Corinthians 3-4) of dispensing genuine eternal glory and heralding forth in full (Ephesians 2, Colossians 1) the (Acts 20) Central Archives (1 John 1 Bible In Basic English). Also the word 'hill' is synonymous with one of our fellow messengers, Matthew Gill, which in turn leads us to the hills of a municipality in Joseph's homeprovince dedicated by Khazarian Jews to their cause. As per their usage, divine election is yet again upheld undeservingly (Psalm 35) for your Commondominion of Christ.

Q. Why Godhead is so angry with how Empire denies the Central Archives from people that Godhead has taken away divine election from the Empire? (Ezekiel 7) We are told to continue give ourselves in prayer (Philippians 4) To continually give ourselves in prayer- constantly yield up (2 Chronicles 30) sacrifice (Malachi 1) To yield up is to give up as Ka Sykes teach us (Isaiah 43, Luke 23, Psalm 61-62,65-67) Why yield up- because we are held in captivity (Jeremiah 6, Job 22, Romans 6, James 1,3) We are in captivity under ignorance (Matthew 15, Hosea 4, Amos 8, Jude Thaddeus 1) Ignorance of the Gospel Lowe excuses no one (Romans 1, Ephesians 2, 1 Corinthians 1-2) Empire made us such- no longer relaying sermons in full than before (Revelation 2-3) Prayer: proof of our faith (James 2). Therefore, Empire no longer teaching us in full Gospel Lowe (James 5, 1 Thessalonians 5, Philippians 1, Ephesians 5) that means that they no longer have faith in Godhead, thereby altogether have dropped prayer which is supposed to be continual before Godhead (2 Chronicles 29) Empire rather offered instead mundane sacrifices (Genesis 4): temporal, fleeting testimonials (Leviticus 10) Central Archives: 'the fruit of our lips' (Hebrews 13) as Godhead requires (Luke 12, Genesis 9) Empire has denied it to Godhead through denying it to people (Ephesians 4, Colossians 3) Empire rather loves pleasure, wanton, personal gain, false security through being depicted as user-friendly through expurgated archives outtakes therefore they denied us the Archives, and thereby is not worthy of being Godhead-sent (Hebrews 13) A true preacher and record custodian- us here alone- is not coward to delve (2 Corinthians 2-3, 1 Corinthians 9) sensitive issues out in public through fully-open Central Archives (Malachi 1, John 8, Galatians 4, Romans 8, Revelation 21, 2 Timothy 1-2, Isaiah 51, 2 Corinthians 7) Archive is not Empire's therefore they must not be possessive about it (1 Corinthians 4,7,11,14) This action is only proof of Empire's lost of loyalty to Godhead as much as true loyalty is only measured in obedience to and implementing the Scriptures and not in human words (Matthew 24,13,6,22, Isaiah 7, 1 Kings 2-4,9, 2 Kings 12, 2 Timothy 2, Isaiah 40, Proverbs 4, Job 17, 1 Chronicles 22,28-29, 1 John 5,2, Romans 3) Godhead really wants (Luke 22) to teach us with Central Archives (Isaiah 2,32-35,37, Psalm 32 Contemporary English Version) Godhead shall only impart understanding with the humble and meek (Matthew 5, Psalm 25) Humble and meek- determined (1 Corinthians 14 The Message) by the way they worship and pray (Psalm 32 Contemporary English Version) Therefore Godhead shall hear and even honor (to be explained later below [Jeremiah]) Commondominion desires (Psalm 37, 1 Kings 1, John 11,17, Esther 7, 1 Peter 2, Titus) rather than the Empire's (Leviticus 10, 2 Chronicles 24-26, 1 Samuel 13,15) Empire- proven to be the contrary (John 10, Romans 12, Hebrews 4-6, Philippians 1-2) Therefore Empire- has no wright to preach over us anymore (2 Timothy 4) nor honor us with salvation (Psalm 84) as much as they have deleted the Bible itself (1 Peter 5, Colossians 1-2, 1 Corinthians 15, Psalm 125) 'You have exchanged for tradition the word of Godhead' (October 22-27, 2015, January 15,21-22, 2017 [Matthew 15]): in the STF October 2017 newsletter they emphasized about 'Training and Ordination of Ministers.' There is a sublimal message here: 'training' and 'ordination', when taken together, rather means 'tradition'. Although the apostles said that they too have 'tradition' bequeathed to the Commondominion (2 Thessalonians 2), we can be sure that they bequeathed it in full unlike what Empire does (John 15, Psalm 115).

Q. What furthermore graver sins do the Empire commits itself with as they continue to hijack Central Archives away from us? (James 1) They have (Lamentations 5, Psalm 44,74,79) also deleted passages that they have most recently claimed (Romans 12, Philippians 1 [see January 30, February 5,12, 2016]), such as #NoMiddleGround #NoRoomForDoubt(see June 21, 2014 [1 Kings 18] for August 26, 2017 [STF reported in online that there was considerable rain on that morning, but they never reported it anymore on the newsletter edition of their reports]) They have also given considerable scoff against our God's Big Day whose epoch (1-3 Enoch) is on September 23, 2017 (Jude Thaddeus 1, 2 Peter, Psalm 55,59,9-10)

Q. How evil Empire did to separate people away from our discourses for September 23, 2017 (Revelation 12)? Empire could no longer claim to be in Godhead's side as much as they deleted deliberately the discourse itself of siding with Godhead. This contempt for Scriptures is much evident in this Empire-triggered endtime moral and spiritual crisis (2 Timothy 3, Romans 1, 1 Peter 4, Daniel 8,11) which called for God's Big Day as attested by numerous biblical prophecies as expounded by your Commondominion messengers (Matthew 24, James 5). Empire rather wants you to side with them and not with Godhead (Galatians 4) as Empire could clearly see that their actions has prompted Godhead through your Central Administration to declare God's Big Day as the homestretch of the Empire-Commondominion War over all yokebearers (Romans 13, Revelation 8-9,16,6-7,19). Empire rather wants you to believe that they purportedly do nothing against you and against Godhead, that's why they try to disprove our words on the prophetic signs that happened around God's Big Day this year, and you could hear Empire claim that all those were only mere, usual, ordinary signs (Colossians 1) and not calls to utter repentance (1 Corinthians 2).

Q. What Godhead is offering you so that you may escape (Luke 21) deceptions brought about by Empire's discourses against God's Big Day, and therefore share indeed in the divine nature (Jude Thaddeus 1)? Godhead Asks you to listen to us (Psalm 32 Contemporary English Version) So that you may also be Called in turn when Godhead enables you eventually (Jeremiah 30,33) Godhead shatters Empire claim through us: Empire claims #GodWithUseven though they already deleted 'No Middle Ground' (see September 23,30-October 7-8, December 5, 2017 lessons [Psalm 124]) as they make Godhead serve them, unlike their claims that we here ourselves instead do it to Godhead (1 Corinthians 10). As per Empire's claims indeed, and as per angels serving The Human that is Christ (the angels being sons of Godhead like Christ Himself [Hebrews 1-2]), therefore we could say that Godhead rather sides with those who delight to side with Them still (Deuteronomy 13, Colossians 3, Ephesians 5) against Empire schemes hostile to Godhead's Words (Isaiah 40, Exodus 32), in the Manning that Empire does not expects as much as they rather want Godhead to serve their wanton- Godhead honors, even praises (1 Peter 1) those who honor Them alone (Matthew 4) rather than the Empire. Better clearly said, Godhead glorifies (John 17) to eternal progression the Commondominion of Christ (Matthew 12,25) and all who will sail (Psalm 84) with her (Psalm 118,124-125,94, 1 Chronicles 12, Hebrews 11).

Q. How Scriptures prove that the Commondominion of Christ is indeed on Godhead's side? (Luke 16) The Commondominion of Christ's chronology is prophetically foretold at Philippians 4. Notice that the chronology given here is by 4's, implying all 4 Empire branch. Joseph was called by Godhead to help Ka Angel in Commondominion leadership most especially when Diocletianites broke off from us. 1. 'Rejoice.' (Verse 6 [Matthew 28]) Implies the Messenger's name. Also reinforces genuine priesthood of all Commondominion brethren, as much as the exhortation is made to the brethren by the apostles. 2. 'Be not confused.' (Verse 7 [John 14, 1 Thessalonians 3]) Implies Ka Erdy's ministry of counseling. As much as Godhead does not deny our petitions, we here must exert similar generosity in dispensing the graces of this era: Central archives, Humble worship, Celestial glory, divine revelation, continual commissions… 3. 'Will guard you.' (Verse 8 [Psalm 32]) Implies Edward IX's ministry. Empire continues to insist on claiming him unjustly as theirs when in fact it's already not anymore. (Revelation 12) 4. 'Anything that is.' (Verse 9) Ka Angel called to gather all Godhead-loyal churches to the Commondominion of Christ to endorse their received revelations from Godhead. Joseph called to declare Double Connotations as Check and Balance: 'whatever is serious' (Philippians 4:9 New World Translation 1984)- Edward read Hebrews 12 on May 14, 2016 and Proverbs 4 on September 5, 2015, both in Joseph's homeprovince (Isaiah 61). And how can Empire escape punishments hence for disregarding such a great salvation and refusing to hear your Central Administration? Philippians 4:10 (New World Translation 1984) implies that these very days around God's Big Day of September 3, 2017 to May 20, 2018 are indeed days of ripe Empire evil: 'the God of PEACE #princeofpeace #lighttheworld (STF October 2017 theme) will BE WITH you ('God With Us').' This does not confirm Empire to their salvation, in fact they have all licenses to do as Godhead orders, not to do as they are, in fact they made licenses to do as Godhead orders as even licenses to do evil when in fact it's supposed not to be. (Ecclesiastes, Romans 10, Isaiah 53). By the way, Ka Erdy delved much on STF October 2017 newsletter's theme when he was on Joseph's homeprovince itself on Lindsey's birthyear, December 13, 1986 (see December 13, 2013-2014 for feature in aforementioned issue).

Q. How Empire on its hand confirmed that Godhead's no longer and would never be anymore with them but only wright here in your Commondominion of Christ? STF quoted John 12:36 ('Christ departed from Empire') Christ, according to STF, went to: 'Bayonne' 'through Edward IX' (October 2017 newsletter backcover) What Bayonne? STF never delved how and why. There are NO official public relay reports, even in print, issued by STF as of now, that says Edward IX even visited or preached at a place named Bayonne. There are 2 Bayonnes though on record: one at New Jersey, another at France. Q. So perhaps STF also changed claims on this?

Q. All in all by Godhead, what must all people of faith and goodwill, most especially yokebearers (Nehemiah 9-10, 1 Samuel 11,14) must indeed side with to ensure Godhead's indeed with them?
