UPDATE: it was a little of both!!

She actually did manage to kill me once. Would have been more i’m sure if it weren’t for my beloved Godrick Soldiers summon (The Lads™️) making it three-on-one. I totally forgot about unequipping things until she started throwing fire pots and knives at me(!!), and she made obnoxiously good use of a spell I’ve hardly ever touched. Being hit with Transient Moonlight is a fucking bitch (VERY glad she didn’t use the Bloody Slash Twinblade at all), and she spammed dodge roll almost as much as I do which was hilarious and also annoying. Luckily I’m a glass cannon with almost no poise so all I had to do was get in close and start wailing, but this fight really showcased the gap between my reaction/input time and a computer’s because she would Not. Stop. Doing things. (Almost shit myself when she went into the casting animation for Loretta’s Greatbow, thank god that one takes long enough to break easily lmao)

The most interesting thing was that The Lads had to work WAY harder than normal to pull her aggro?? Like she focused almost entirely on me the whole time. Idk if there’s a major difference in how Mimic Tear works as a boss vs as a summon bc I haven’t picked up the ashes yet but i hope not bc that bitch is SMART. (And lucky for me this is all post-nerf, can’t miss something you never had 🥲)

Anyways, one of the most fun fight mechanics i’ve encountered in any game, was able to confirm that not only is my build not total shit but also that i look fly as hell. Might even waste a talisman slot on that stupid trick-mirror to take away the spectral aura just because having Another Me is so damn cool. Mimic Tear fight is apparently missable - make sure you don’t.

Can’t wait for the Mimic Tear fight tbh cause it’s either gonna be like “here’s how you could be better” or it’s gonna be embarrassingly easy and then i get another ghost friend, it’s a win-win for me
