why have you been so quiet in the past 5 days?
also hope you had a happy 4th
I've been at work.
My job keeps me pretty busy. I work at a hotel and often spend my shifts alone. So I do a lot by myself. Reservations, appliance set up, post-stay charges, room inventory, key card issueing (although that's pretty easy, in my opinion), giving out complimentary laundry/soap/silverware, discounts, cashiering for the snack bar, etc.
And, very excitingly, I have been working with a local art gallery where I will soon sell my art.
I make scratch boards of people's pets. Example:
And on top of those things, I have been working on a collaboration with a very close friend of mine. We are writing an original story together. Is a story has two main protagonist, he is writing from the perspective of one of them, I am writing the other.
I have made concept portraits of some of the characters from our story:
Suddenly Psychic
So I have been pretty busy!
But I am doing well. I left a job that was treating me very poorly and now work at the hotel. Where so far I am much happier. After years of struggling to work with galleries I found one that is embracing my niche passion for Scratch boards. And I am working on a fun story with my best friend.
I had been fighting a rough depressive episode for a while, especially after the loss of our dog Buddy, making the choice to put him down was not an easy one. But it was the right one to end his suffering.
And I tend to have a bit of a depressive episode around the 4th pretty much every year.
As well as a bunch of questionings of my choice in career. A part of me is unsure if I want to pursue a future in psychology, but I'm so close to getting my associates degree. So at least I'll get that because I've spent years for it.
I worked on the 4th of July, but I'm not really a fan of 4th of July anyway, so I actually did it willingly. My manager asked me if I would work that day and I was very happy to accept it.
I don't like fireworks.
All in all, I had some tough decisions to make, still do.
But at the same time, so many things in my life are starting to come together now. I have a chance to really make a career as an artist. If this really works, I might not even have to continue College. I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket however, so I'm still going to classes in the fall. Just in case.
I had become a Psychology major because I wasn't seeing success in my art career. I figured I could just do art on the side and still be happy. But finally, I have a chance. A chance I thought was lost to me.
A chance with a gallery owner that really Believes In Me.
I'm kind of scared. The overwhelming positivity from this Gallery owner does make me uncertain about whether or not I can live up to his expectations of me. Even so, I have to try, I want to try.
I spent a huge part of my life, my upbringing, with very little hope for my future.
But I'm starting to see it. My hope. My chances.
My Future.
It will take years I'm certain. Currently I still live with my mother because I can't afford to move out or find an apartment.
But I feel hopeful. Even... Happy.
Sorry I haven't been on here as much, I do appreciate you all checking in on me after my radio silence. But I'm doing well as of now.
My "father", who wasn't good to me or my family, isn't in my life anymore. I got to spend time with my brother. I am working on a passion project with my best friend. I'm working a job I feel more respected at and pays more than my old one (about $12/hr). I am seeing my art be enjoyed both online and in person.
I even started HRT! Been on T for a little over a year now!
I'm just... Starting to find happiness.
It wasn't easy, still isn't, and it won't be easy going forward, but I feel like it is all worth it.

i’m constantly reminded of mortality, and it doesn’t bother me the way you’d think
repost from that time i deleted an article i spent 4 days on T-T actual post this time since i somehow posted it privately yesterday 😭
---
Hi, I’m Questioning. And I like to waste my life away dedicate my free time to random hobbies that catch my hyperfixation interest on the fly. Currently, I’ve returned to something most important. Updating the encyclopedia-esque database of AlternativeTo.net. o_o
Let me finish.
See, I started exploring the world of Visual Novel (VN) makers, which led to me discovering the world of Interactive Fiction (IF)–their predecessor afaic. And that’s where it got strange. What I’ve found is interesting developments in terms of innovation and such. Like Undum (image)–“a game framework for building a sophisticated form of hypertext interactive fiction” according to its GitHub. IFWiki calls it “an authoring system for CYOA-style stories playable on web browsers.” It was created by I.D. Millington in 2009, released in 2010, had returned in 2018, and would’ve changed the IF genre (kinda like Twine did) if not for how hard it was to get into.
Undum’s flexibility and power have made it the engine that drove some of the most significant works in IF (The Play, Almost Goodbye). But it has always been relatively inaccessible. Undum is not the system of choice for writing straightforward hypertext games; it’s a challenging system to learn and use that demands the author build their own engine on top of it to drive their game logic. Consider Raconteur for “Undum with batteries included.” -Bruno Dias (x)
Enter Raconteur, “a friendlier way to write Undum hypertext fiction” that was announced by Bruno Dias in 2015. More accurately described as “a library of Undum tools that can get someone writing their story quickly.” Here’s the thing about the “library of Undum tools” part: Undum did not come prepackaged with any… even though they were required to write your game,…😐 which “meant doing a lot of your own tooling.” 😑
Yeah, no surprise it won the award for Best Technological Development in XYZZY Awards 2015.
But hold up, somethin’ ain’t right…
Undum’s only got 21 games on IFDB.org and Raconteur’s got 4… with 1 overlap with Undum. 😐
So~… wth?
Well, someone else had a similar question on intfiction.org in March and got Josh Grams’ opinion on it: JavaScript.
🤷🏿♂️
So even though Undum was designed as the visual version of bookbinding and with the specific goals “aesthetic” & “technical” in mind, shit’s too intimidating compared to alternatives.
I hoped [writing Undum in JavaScript] would make it accessible for a wider range of dabblers, requiring transferable skills rather than learning a new language. It also made it achievable to write and document over a few weekends: I didn’t have to worry about parsing, or creating a complete runtime. But the best benefit, and in some ways the one least exploited in practice, is the ability to use Undum as part of a bigger game. I imagined a strategy game with CYOA elements, or a piece of interactive fiction using natural language generation to be different each time. -Ian Millington (x)
And here’s~ where it gets a bit fucked.
Remember the other person who had a similar question–J. J. Guest? Well, they ended their post with “Was it simply superseded by Ink / Inky?”
Let’s keep this simple:
Ink [image] is the core narrative engine itself, written in C#. It includes the code for the compiler. If you’re not technical, you don’t need to worry about this. Inky [image] is our ink editor, which is a text editor with support for playing as you write. If you’re just starting out with ink, this is all you need. inkle is the game development studio that created ink (x)
So it’s “a narrative scripting language for games” and yet another CYOA maker. Why do I bring them up? Well, Inkle (the company) “was founded in 2011 by two Cambridge game developers [Joseph Humfrey & Jon Ingold] with a passion for storytelling and beautiful design” (x). They started off with their unique “inklebook” format, which had an early prototype game in ~2008 that Jon described as
an iPad-based choice-driven story made of ‘pages’ which stitched together into a single flow via frequent choice points. It was a lovely UI for a choice-based game, even in prototype form, and we had a strong scripting language underneath it – the first version of ink. (x)
In January of 2012, they released “a web-tool for writing and reading simple interactive stories” called inklewriter. Joseph described it as “a simpler subset of the inklebook format” (x) and admitted “inklewriter was partly born out of the surprise that there isn’t anything out there for quickly and easily writing non-linearly.” (x)
After already having “moved away from developing inklewriter for a long time,” it went “permanent beta” in September of 2017 due to “increasing frequency of persistent bug-reports.” Sad news considering the statement “we’ve had hundreds of thousands of stories created by hundreds of thousands of users; we’ve won awards from school and library associations; and hopefully we’ve helped kickstart a few interactive writers careers” (x). And since writers (who became aware in time) were able to “rescue” their story from the bugs and potential wipeout with a simple Save Page As, it was probably a bit less heartbreaking when inkle revealed less than a year later that inklewriter would be shutting down completely in August of 2018. Seemingly because “it’s real work to fix the issues that arise” with the constant browser changes. 😐
Only 7 months later, it returned in March of 2019. Stable, still free, and now open-source after developers in the open-source community “produced a full port of inklewriter to modern web-tech.” 🥳 Writers needed to make new accounts and import their stories to the new database, but that was it. And since the legacy version was (and is) still around, they could do it pretty quickly. (x)
But where dahell was I going with this? Let me tell you about the original connection first: Unity Integration.
The [ink-unity-integration] plugin provides you with everything you need to get started with ink in Unity. It automatically recompiles ink files as you edit them, and even comes with a simple previewer that lets you play stories directly within the Editor, without writing a line of code. (x)
Remember Ian Millington’s statement from awhile ago? “But the best benefit, and in some ways the one least exploited in practice, is the ability to use Undum as part of a bigger game. I imagined a strategy game with CYOA elements, or a piece of interactive fiction using natural language generation to be different each time.” (x)
Well,… Stoic Studio (announced that they) did it in January 2013 when they used inklewriter for The Banner Saga. Though, inkle recommends you use their ink scripting language instead for Unity projects. 🤷🏿♀️ A scripting language that was ported to JavaScript in May of 2016, btw. The port (inkjs) having its latest release just 6 freaking days ago while Undum and Raconteur had their last GitHub edits in 2018 & 2020 respectively.
Either way, Ian’s imagination of “a strategy game with CYOA elements” happened… with another mofo’s software. 😐
And what’s that? I left something out?
I left working on Undum to develop Varytale, a short lived commercial IF endeavour that shared a lot of the same aesthetic and narrative structure. And then I retired, and it lay fallow, aside from email help requests that still drip into my inbox. -Ian Millington (x)
Let’s see what IFWiki says about this endeavor:
Varytale was a platform for authoring and publishing browser-based CYOA, created by Ian Millington and Alexis Kennedy; it occupied a point somewhere between Undum and StoryNexus [a comparatively mostly defunct endeavor from 2012]. The Varytale website was live from approximately 2011 to 2015. The first posts on Varytale’s blog appeared in June 2011. On March 7, 2014, Varytale posted a comment on the Varytale Facebook page saying, “The project is stalled, due to key people leaving the project. So there’s no news, and I’m not sure if or when there will be.” The last Wayback Machine snapshot of www.varytale.com/books was taken in September 2015. (x)
On its May of 2012 public beta announcement on FailbetterGames website, something slightly poignant was said.
But the technology is great [seriously] - it’s easily the most flexible and powerful tool of its kind, and it’ll be fascinating to see what people can do with it once the writers’ programme opens up. And as it happens, Jon Ingold / Joseph Humfrey’s very elegant inklewriter has also just gone live [4 months prior]. (…) …[inklewriter] covers some of the same territory as Varytale, but it’s (by design) simpler in concept and execution. (x)
Life is truly cruel.
If you check the archive from possibly days before its shut down in September of 2015, you’ll see 4 official books (Bee, Fighting, How To Read, Hymn & Shanty) and 3 User Published Books (London Road, Sixth Tower, Tillinghast). That’s 7… 7 books. 😐
But it’s not that sad. According to the Varytale blog’s 2nd to last post (in June of 2012), “we passed 50,000 reads across the seven books currently on our reader’s beta.” This was perhaps a full week after they released the floodgates and actually allowed people to start readin’. Das alot to me. They clearly succeeded in “building a platform for authors to write great books, and for publishers to publish them.” Even built a whole-ass “system that does generative design,” creating “artwork based on the author’s choice of patterned design or photograph” (x). Or, as we’d quickly say 12 years later, some AI shit.
So wut 👏🏿 in da fuq 👏🏿
Why’d they never get past the 7 book mark in the 2 years between Reader’s Beta and project stallation? Well,… there’s a hint at the end of that 2012 blog post: “We have a queue of people wanting to write content, who are been added a few at a time. So lots of hard work in the beta still to go.” hm~ 🤔
If The Way Back Machine had archives past January of 2013, we’d definitely know more, but this is it (i ain’t diggin’ a wider hole at this point). And what is it? I think it’s a matter of workload. Too much for too few people who had however much goin’ on in their lives. Remember much earlier this bit from IFWiki?
On March 7, 2014, Varytale posted a comment on the Varytale Facebook page saying, “The project is stalled, due to key people leaving the project. (x)
Maybe things weren’t smooth enough for awhile. Maybe it was something else for those 2 years prior. 🤷🏿♂️ And you know… the end of Emily Short’s blog post Writing for Varytale might hold the answer.
There are still some challenges about using the Varytale system, though it’s evolved tremendously over the course of beta. One of the biggest authorial challenges is that, while there’s the awesome structure tool shown above for looking at branching structure inside a storylet, it can be considerably more challenging to get a view of what’s going on at the macro level. And I’m not even sure what the tool for this ought to look like. The strength of storylets is that they can affect which other ones pop up in a fairly freeform way, and one can affect another (via their shared stat use) without explicit logic in either. But that’s also what makes it really hard to graph how they will act. Most of the bugs that arose in Bee were related to this issue of envisioning the total structure of the work and detecting storylets that were going to break that structure. (x)
So in this case aswell, the innovations of Ian’s Varytale make it… (a bit) intimidating to work with. 😑Whether or not this difficulty was ever ironed out post-beta is unknown to me, especially considering the end of Ian’s thankful response to Tom H.’s suggestion for fixing the macro level problem: “When will I get chance to code it? That’s a whole other matter!”
…hm~
And on the same post lies magnus4444’s statement that “There isn’t a lot of documentation out there yet on the implementation of more advanced effects but, on the plus side, Ian is generous with advice and tips.”
🤷🏿♀️
So wtf do we have here. Effectively two developers (i’m simplifying it; fight me) who 1) made a CYOA maker (Undum & inklewriter) for very similar reasons, 2) put development aside to focus on other CYOA makers (Varytale & Inky), 3) had their neglected work taken up by open-source developers for the good of everyone, and 4) reaped the benefit of the other’s labor in some way. Now, here’s where we’re back to the sad part. Inkle’s version of the tale is the American Dream ™. Inklewriter was beloved by many and had mainstream success. Ian’s version is the harsh American Reality. Undum only bore 24+ games over the course of its 13 year existence on the internet and in the world of IF. And if a single person’s opinion is to be taken as fact… then the reason was simple: shit wasn’t easy to pickup. And thus, regardless of Ian & Bruno’s efforts, it (at this rate) is bound to become an obscure software regardless of its potential. All while Varytale remains gone and Inky (released in June of 2016) is still goin’ strong with 160+ games released using its Ink language/engine.
Which brings me back to the matter…
i’m constantly reminded of [my] mortality

just found some Valiant AU development sketches and notes in my old OLD sketchbook
I really thought it would be a webtoon
long post warning! And I mean long looooooooong post. If you get to the bottom and go "I'm not reading allat" I do not blame you
more under the cut:
^^^ OC
General notes:
This Valiant AU was meant to be a solarpunk superhero slice of life that slowly reveals a heavier plot, mostly focusing on character interactions and personal growth
White Hat Incorporated is a struggling, newbie business and clients are rare
The episodes can range from domestic shenanigans like fixing a leaking pipe or getting dinner, to running their business by defeating the villain of the week
The villains and heroes stay in their roles from canon. The only ones with major changes are our main 4 guys
All major information about White Hat would be discovered from the point of view of Lumencia and Zug as they realize that not only is PEACE corrupt, but that their boss is neither human nor demon nor alien
Now onto the characters themselves:
Dr. Zug Gleis
Like his name suggests, he likes trains. His train is also a drill that was an attempt to burrow out of government's arrest
Which he then modified into a laboratory, each train cart being a unique kind of laboratory for surveillance, medicine, etc. He sleeps very uncomfortably in cramped spaces and likes it that way
V.I.R.U.S is now a software he created and repurposed into his bratty computer assistant, now Cambot. She's also the one recording all their commercials and making his coffee. Basically Zug doesn't get along with ANY of his children
He doesn't like to leave his laboratories, so he set up a network of tunnels through White Hat's mansion that send and receive messages, inventions, food, etc. There's one little chute for these in most parts of the place
His arc was focusing on his inability to accept help from others because he sees any kind gesture as a possible way to control him. Even worse if the kind person genuinely means it, because he also sees accepting kindness as a handicap, a debt
His villainy was an easy way to make money and show the world his capability without any assistance from any hero or villain organization
Really, he just wants to be able to do whatever he wants, but his need to be the best or else he's the worst is tiring for him. Anger issues don't help
This stemmed from a past of constantly being bullied and compared to his brother, Goldheart
After dropping out of hero college, Zug became his own supervillain's known as The Mad Condoctor, whose theme was, you guessed it, trains. He stole trains, modified scrap metal, targeted stations and trade centers, held hostages, prepared puzzles for heroes to solve, etc
The Mad Condoctor was notorious for being uncooperative and a backstabber. He operated at night and was an expert in secret missions, spyware and tech-based combat and the likes
By the first season finale he would have genuinely cared for his coworkers but still didn't value his own life, so he let himself be taken in by PEACE. The crew have to go retrieve their idiot and many things about White Hat Incorporated are revealed to the public after they clash with their local PEACE headquarters
He finds authority annoying and hates seeing people kiss up. Mostly shameless in his actions and doesn't much care for other people's opinions. Can be honest to the point of hurting
So he is a terrible liar. It's like he's allergic to it or something. Prefers to lie by omission
Will only call White Hat 'sir' and 'jefecito' sarcastically or to get a point across. Unfortunately hopelessly devoted to him at the end of the series whoops
Lumencia
A superwoman with horse-like powers that decided to choose unicorns as her motif because that's way cooler. She has kicks and punches that convert her diet into energy, which is great because she loves eating
Changed it up so that Lumencia is the resident prankster and WH tells puns, not the other way around
She has a room with a slanted ceiling which she can climb out the window of to lie and chill on the roof. She's also converted that space, where flat roof meets slanted roof, into an outdoor cinema/gym, decorated with christmas lights. The mansion is a three-way clash of decorative styles from afar
She doesn't have a license to be a hero, but she helps out wherever she can anyway, stopping purse snatchers and helping lost children find their parents and such
In fact, she is actually one of the most beloved people in the little town they live near, with many residents familiar with her buffoonery but affirming her as a reliable source of help
She's also relatively well-known online, as she posts videos of her playing the guitar and well-intentioned but nonsensical 'Lumencia Tips', filled with terrible puns and comic-like ballpoint pen doodles
Her arc would have focused on letting herself acknowledge her strengths that aren't related to fighting
Shes very buddy-buddy with petty criminals and shop owners alike, able to strike up a conversation and make pals no matter who they are. Once she deems you chill, you can chill, yknow? This isn't on purpose.
Even though she has gross taste in food and is messier than Zug, her handwriting is very pretty and neat. She also is very good at graffiti and sticks to an aesthetic, with glitter and y2k stickers and denim-clad wizards on skateboards, all the works
She has a very straightforward view on heroics and is not big on plans, preferring to punch her way out of situations or annoy her enemies to tears. In fact, her main goal is to become an official part of one of the many PEACE-brand hero leagues.
There's other hero corporations too but PEACE is the number one in America
So one day she just showed up on White Hat's doorstep and never left because it would 'look good on her resume'.
Previously, she bounced from place to place, relying on connections and the occasional tip from her halfway-illegal heroism efforts to get by. She also doesn't remember where her powers are from, only that her parents worked at PEACE and where killed by 'villains' when she was a little girl
Her favourite place is the funfair because that's the last nice memory she had
By season two she would have started another arc where she learns that she was an experiment and her parents were killed by their own higher ups in PEACE to silence them, and she has to come to terms with why she even wants to be a hero as well as stand her ground when her optimism is challenged.
Lumencia's music is like whatever Equestria Girls and Electric Mayhem have going on. I think the genre is power pop? Either way it sounds like those elaborate 80s radical van murals look
Is an effortless liar in the sense that she says the most batshit things with utmost confidence and treats consequences like an afterthought.
Only calls White Hat 'White Hat' and not 'boss' when she feels the situation calls for it. Also unfortunately hopelessly devoted to him by the end of the series
624
An extra set of hands that cleans the place and helps out with their little business. Does not like being interuppted when listening to music
Goes from 'fucking hate these guys' to 'they give me food therefore they are mine' in the span of the entire series
Quite lazy, plays the winning side. Which is usually the heroes here
Dunno if I'd call his arc an arc. All I know is there's an episode where his spoilt teenager-ismd hits their peak and Zug and Lumencia have to reach an understanding with him by respecting his boundaries and helping him feel secure
And after that episode, 624 stopped being a total catalyst for disaster plotwise
White Hat
He is one of the comic reliefs and manages White Hat Incorporated, often making really stupid decisions because profit is not on his mind
The final voice I settled on for him was fucking Australian Markiplier
His "growth" would be the characters and readers seeing him to actually be a caring, experienced-in-heroics-but-not-business individual who gives really sound advice and becomes a source of comfort for his close friends
But is still a MEGA-PRICK. Every time he gets beat up it's for a valid reason
In canon, villainy triumphs because Black Hat is there. In the Valiant AU, the story is in the heroes' favour because White Hat is in his place.
I wanted him to be (mostly) opposite to Black Hat in many ways! BH's office is huge, minimalistic, corporate and cold, while WH's office is small, maximalistic, filled with sentimental items and like a warm cabin.
BH basks in hellfire and while WH does use fire, he prefers the ocean. BH enjoys golf, WH enjoys dancing. BH takes himself seriously, WH very much doesn't. BH detests everything, WH has an appreciation for everything. And etc...
They're still horrible creepy eldritch monstrosities, the fish theme for WH is just because he likes ocean shit and fish are scary
BH has made himself known globally and universally, he has statues and monuments and paintings
WH has nothing; White Hat is five years old. This is his first time being White Hat
But he's been around since the beginning of time, taking many forms and names, learning the wonders of the universe and giving all of his time to help however he could
He believed this to be natural, he's the one of a kind who doesn't need rest or food. He can't die or get really hurt, and would later learn he couldn't bear to love either
Some of the things he was included many plants and animals before the humans, then farmers and warriors, witches and politicians, an entertainer vigilante, a writer, a parent, a fur-clad warrior in the snow, guiding forces of nature, and a female pirate.
I wanted him to cycle through the entire alignment chart in terms of morality as he exhausted everything he could do to make a difference
After World War 2 on earth, his psyche gave out and he collapsed into a long, long nap; a shadow pooling in a lake, his favourite
Finally woke up and decided to take his own form not based on any species or star or tree, chose his own outfit and everything
And made his debut as White Hat, forged documents to start a small business for heroes support
He doesn't have an arc, but if he did, he would be in the midst of learning to let himself get attached again and be properly selfish. Maybe identity issues.
But he doesn't have an arc
And so really only serves to help out Zug and Lumencia. He's comfortable with no one knowing these things about him ever, because what would they even do if they did?
Wouldn't change anything, they wouldn't understand the full scope even, so he's at peace with himself right now, grateful that he's alive for once
He uses manipulation to direct conversations away from himself and get people to spill their feelings, or burrow into their trauma without using magic
if he wants he can let loose to trigger some kind of indescribable primal instinct within a person, that cripples them with terror and despair and love for the sublime face of something divine, bigger than the observable universe. He doesn't like doing this.
He's a fan of ice and shadow manipulation, he thinks the colours go well with his coat
Most animals hate him and he cries about it
He also cries when he tries to download an app on a laptop
He is a competent medical doctor, babysitter, and waiter. In fact, he seems to have infinite patience and calm when he isn't whining over dessert like a toddler
The human skeleton hanging in his office is real
Hopelessly attached to Lumencia, Zug and 624 by the end of the series but they don't need to know that
This AU will forever make me warm and fuzzy inside I love them so much, I had so many locations planned, started Pinterest boards and shit
Instead I think I'll take some of these things and apply them to my OCs instead! HUGE thanks to everyone who enjoyed this version of this AU while it lasted! Maybe it'll come back one day, maybe not. Likely not

RW Headcanon: The Omnivores and the Carnivores
Figured I'd start sharing some headcanons! Buckle up, folks, this is gonna be a looooooooong post! With a bit of Artimand sprinkled in (hope you like it @melissa-titanium)!
This was based on an idea lingering in the back of my mind for a bit, but after drawing the above image from a previous post I got reminded of it and decided to develop it a little more! I'll put the full headcanon down below!
By the way, I should warn you that the verbosity habit in my post asking about headcanons was no joke. This headcanon, as I've explained it below, is literally almost 700 words...
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
I headcanon that there are two subspecies of “wild type” slugcats — omnivores and carnivores. I like the idea that slugcats were descended from a pipe-cleaning organism (although I still see them as mustelids rather than mollusks, but that’s a headcanon for another day…), so in this headcanon, a carnivorous variant of the slugcat ancestor was made to be more specialized for killing pests. Back when the Ancients were still around, they had a reputation similar to that of real-life raccoons and pigeons, while the omnivorous slugcats were more-often kept as pets.
As of the present Rain World timeline, though, omnivorous and carnivorous slugcats look almost identical. Omnivorous slugcats are still more iconic — they’re what you’d think of when one says “slugcat” — but the biggest differences the carnivorous variant possesses are their sharper teeth, stronger jaws, and sharper claws. Carnivorous slugcats also tend to be more muscular, while omnivorous slugcats have more body fat due to their largely plant-based diet.
Culturally, though, the two subspecies show more contrast. Omnivores are more peaceful hunter-gatherers who focus on trying to passively get by in a bigger, more dangerous world. Carnivores, on the other hand, are active hunters who tend to encourage combat training more and pride themselves on rising up to the ferocity of larger predators. The two tend to live separately in their own colonies, and don’t interact too often. There’s also some degree of prejudice in each group towards the other due to these cultural differences; not enough to cause large-scale conflicts, but enough that they side-eye each other occasionally. In more extreme cases, omnivores are perceived by the carnivores as weak, lazy, and meek, while omnivores see the carnivores as aggressive, loud, and cynical.
To bring it back to the image above, in my own personal fic-idea concept thing of how Artificer and Gourmand get together, this prejudice is a minor, but additional reason why they never expect to fall in love with each other; Arti is descended from a small group of carnivorous slugcats modified with explosive spit, while Gourm and the rest of the slugcats in his colony are all natural omnivores. Combine that with the rest of their attitudes in life, and at first, it seems they’re just too different to ever make a good pair.
A few more quick thoughts about these two subspecies:
Survivor and Monk are both naturally omnivorous. Hunter and Spearmaster, while directly engineered, were both derived from the carnivorous subspecies, while Rivulet was derived from the omnivorous subspecies.
Despite Gourmand being a natural omnivore, he eats larger prey more often than any other slugcat in his colony both out of curiosity for how other meats taste and because, true to his name, he honestly just likes to eat whatever (hey, as long as it’s edible)! However, once he and Artificer get together, he really starts to eat more meat from the creatures he hunts for her. And, interestingly enough, because he likes to use fruits and other plants as side dishes or as toppings to add flavor, this causes Arti to start eating more plants (now that’s what I call a “balanced diet”)!
Even though the carnivores are culturally more similar to scavengers, the omnivores tend to get along better with them due to their more peaceful attitude, and the fact they naturally compete less with the scavengers for food (I like to imagine scavengers as pack-hunting carnivores).
Carnivores tend to move slightly faster than omnivores.
Carnivores often have bigger, more ravenous appetites than omnivores because they require more energy on average. Again, it’s partly what the image above is referencing!
Back when the Ancients lived, there actually existed a bit of a friendly discourse around which variant of the slugcat ancestors made better pets. It was in a similar vein to the modern “cat person vs. dog person” idea, but, to some degree, it’s actually continued on in various iterator groups, including the main one! FP, NSH, SRS, and CW are firm believers in carnivore superiority, UI passionately cheers on the omnivores, and Moon just giggles in the background and makes sure the debates don’t get too heated (but is also secretly team omnivore).
Anyway, with that said, BIG thanks to anyone who made it all the way down here! This headcanon originally formed as a way to explain in-universe the noticeably different diets of the main slugcat characters, but I just couldn't help adding more to it!
Let me know what you think of this concept, if you have anything to add to it, or if you'd like to see more of my headcanons! I just LOVE developing fictional worlds from ergonomic, analytical, and narrative perspectives, so if you want more, I've definitely got it!

everlark and physical touch: part 1, the 74th hunger games
part 1 of a special post about katniss and peeta's relationship through touch.
((Lines from the book are Italicized))
Page 260-261: Katniss and Peeta's first kiss. Impulsively, I lean forward and kiss him. This is long overdue, because he's right, we are supposed to be madly in love. Katniss began these kisses. Not Peeta. Yes, he's in love with her, but he respects her and is still a bit shy. He's too shy to start anything, he'll kiss her if Katniss kisses him. At least at first.
Pg 264: I reach out to touch his cheek, and he catches my hand and presses it against his lips. Because of Katniss's kisses, Peeta gains the confidence to return with his own romantic gestures,
Pg 298: The first kiss..the first real one. This is the first kiss we're both fully aware of. This is the first kiss where I actually feel stirring inside my chest. Warm and curious. This is the first kiss that makes me want another. WOOO!! The first kiss. The first glimpse into Katniss's (brief) mentions throughout the books of her romantic desire and the first true everlark moment, in my opinion. But Peeta keeps it from going further. Oh well. But this is the first glimpse of Katniss's desire, her arousal, caused by Peeta. This is just the beginning. Peeta has gained the confidence to give her one long kiss, but loses this confidence. So Katniss has to give him that confidence again..
Pg 302: Katniss returns the kiss. To give him that confidence. At least, affection. I swallow hard and get the words out. "You don't have much competition anywhere." And this time, it's me who leans in. YAYYYYY!!!!! Good job Katniss. Gale is probably fuming.
Pg 311: Looooooooong Kiss. I scoot over and shake Peeta's shoulder. His eyes open sleepily and when they focus on me, he pulls me down for a long kiss. He's regained that confidence. And even when Katniss says they're wasting hunting time, Peeta even flirts a bit, saying "I wouldn't call it wasting."
Fast forward a bit...
Pg 361: I take about three steps and fling myself into his arms. He rights himself and we just cling to each other. He's just kissing me. Kisses. Peeta's still in love. Is Katniss?
Already the boy with the bread is slipping away from her. Not all of those kisses from Katniss were for love. Most were for survival. Peeta kissed her..as an act of love. Katniss kissed him..some for love, but most for their survival. His heart's broken, and she's a mess. She doesn't want to let go, but the closer they get to 12, the more confused she gets. She doesn't know what they'll be in 12. She and Gale? She just realized Gale might like her.
To be continued...
xx madi
god this is long.

If you've been around, I just finished Time Travel AU. If you're from AO3, you know what this post is and you can skip further down to read more. If you don't know what Time Travel AU is, it's a long FFXIV fanfic I've been working on for the better part of six years. Five and a half of which it's been online to read.
This post is to document some of the early plotting that I never talked about written down into a coherent-ish(?) post. Mostly to get it out of my system and to hopefully stave off the absolute breakdown I'll have once that "it's finished after six years" thing settles in.
Let's start this off with something funnier, because this a looooooooong post: the name.
(That isn't a word, for the record. I just mashed two nouns together to be funny.)
And then, finally, being a class clown at heart, I follow that up with:
It wasn't too long, and that joke that took me half a minute to come up with stuck around. It still makes me chuckle.
But, I suppose now we go back to a couple months before that conversation took place.
~
The first idea for the AU started rotating in my head a few days after finishing Shadowbringers. I’m kind of a sucker for time travel of any sort (a good chunk of my favourite media of all time includes it somehow!), and another thing I enjoy is enemies to “unfortunately, we’re on the same side for a while”.
So, as one does after a game thoroughly rearranges their brain, I started throwing darts at random points and saw what started sticking.
The first major things decided for the fic at that early conception stage were the following points:
the time travellers are WOL, Exarch, Ryne, Elidibus
the Final Days were caused by the star itself
Hythlodaeus (shade or real deal) is involved (maybe as 14th?)
Hydaelyn and Zodiark are non-violently undone by the end
it ends with a city by the Crystal Tower on the Source
I started drafting a few ideas for it over a couple weeks while waiting for 5.1.
Initially I genuinely wasn’t sure if the WOL in the story was going to be Meteor or my own WOL (every iteration of her has been in this fic, but when it started she was actually still a male Seeker… he’s the jumpy conjurer tagging along in the Praetorium; and the Dunesfolk, Highlander, and the Hrothgar are all obvious or hidden in the background, too). It took me a while before I settled on Meteor, mostly because I don’t want to ship her with NPCs, really. Also, Catboy Lahen was extremely jumpy and wouldn’t have been able to keep him being a time traveller and an Ascian secret for long. I needed someone made of sterner stuff, sorry Catboy Lahen.
The party was a proper light party at that stage, too, even before I settled on Meteor (Meteor / Ryne as tank, Exarch as healer, Ryne / Lahen and Elidibus as DPS)… and then dropped that once I started getting into the more detailed part of plotting.
By the time 5.1 rolled around I begrudgingly accepted that the WOL was going to be the 14th member of the Convocation, but I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t like that. I still don’t like it, actually. I would’ve liked the WOL being a genuine random soul choosing the road and becoming modern day Azem just as Venat and her successor were before them, instead of having it just be Venat’s successor 2 electric boogaloo.
I also finally accepted the clown’s nose and admitted that my favourite Ascian was Lahabrea because he was a good villain back when I started in the last couple days of 2014. I was disappointed that after how much Emet-Selch and Elidibus got and were getting throughout the end of Stormblood and Shadowbringers, Lahabrea still hadn’t gotten much of anything else. Yes. The first time I met one of my now better friends, she joined call for Endwalker fanfest and the first thing she ever heard from me was me straight up bursting into tears over FFIV references and Pandaemonium.
A few more plot points were also starting to come together:
I wanted Emet-Selch and Lahabrea as POV characters
Hythlodaeus definitely was going to be one as well
he was going to have sat by and watched all of history
he was going to be tempered by Hydaelyn and Zodiark
Unukalhai, if not a POV character, was going to be somewhat important
the party was going to try saving some NPCs who died (success rate varying)
Meteor’s characterisation started to crystallise a bit more
because of that, they were going to try and substantially alter the Steppe section
Lahabrea would be explosive early on, leading to him being taken out of 2.55
Minfilia vanished before she could catch on to Ascian shenanigans
Ysayle would catch on to that, though
It’s glossed over in the finished fic because it’s mostly irrelevant, but as I worked on on the plot draft more and more, I noticed that the party accidentally fit into the elemental chart rather neatly:
Lahabrea as lightning; most volatile and destructive party member
Emet-Selch as fire; also fairly temperamental and not easy to work with
Elidibus as wind; easier to handle but still fairly dangerous
Meteor as earth; unmoving object that can bury a lot of things if they want to
Exarch as water; that one was mostly a “river of time” joke, I won’t lie
Ryne as ice; it’s the closest to light and once she’s determined she’s unyielding
Hythlodaeus as light; absolute stasis due to his circumstances
Unukalhai as darkness; always on the move and always thinking
A lot of the character dynamic comes from that! Emet-Selch and Lahabrea don’t get along, Elidibus manages to get along with both of them. Ryne as the most interesting mortal out of the bunch as far as Emet-Selch is concerned stems from a fire and ice joke that ran away with me; him and the Exarch butting heads is a water and fire joke. The reason why Ryne was the one to surprise Elidibus comes from the fact that she’s a solid ice wall to his wind, and so on and so forth.
That’s also why Unukalhai remains closer to the Ascians to some degree, while Hythlodaeus has absolutely no qualms whatsoever interacting with mortals as long as his restrictions are adhered to even if he doesn’t like them in the end.
It became extremely less relevant as time went on, but a lot of the early fic can be traced to that elemental balance.
Along with the elemental balance of the team, I started working on the magic system for the Ancients. I was extremely stuck on the sidequests in Amaurot and how two of them dealt with the WOL not being able to use creation magicks. I thought it was interesting that it seemed as if the one making clothes didn’t use a concept crystal, while in one you were handed one to summon those funny slimes.
The final point was that you had to catch a cubus for one while you didn’t for the other.
So, eventually I came to the magic system in the fic. Three classes of magicks (body, soul, environment), and differing levels of innate ability and trained skill. Ironically, the three antagonist Unsundered all fit into three out of four extremes of that latter scale…
Then there was the question of what was considered “dark arts” before the Sundering. It wasn’t necessary, none of the main characters would be students of the dark arts, but it was a fun thought experiment. Eventually I came up with the idea to animate something inanimate with malicious intent. Living weapons, defensive automatons, sentient traps, and so on and so forth.
I started applying that to all of the relevant Ancients, and it was a lot more fun than I want to admit here.
Essentially what the concept crystals thing came down to in the end was a certain level of intricate casting and preservation. Lahabrea can create a flock of his birds effortlessly because he knows the concept inside out with all its details and intricacies, while someone trying to summon it themselves would have to use a crystal to get the details right. That’s also why most of the time the Ascians don’t seem to be using concept crystals—they aren’t creating much, and when they are it’s things they already know how to make.
Actually, I dug out the notes on the innate/trained scale. There’s a lot of things that are irrelevant for the fic on that, but let me write down the most relevant ones:
Emet-Selch: soul; high innate/low trained
Lahabrea: body; high innate/high trained
Elidibus: environment; low innate/high trained
Hythlodaeus: soul; high innate/not trained
Alexis (Meteor’s ancient): environment/dark arts; low innate/medium trained
Igeyorhm: body; medium innate/high trained
Minfilia: body; low innate/low trained
Venat: environment; medium innate/high trained
Rafael (previous Elidibus): soul; low innate/high trained
There was also the question of what to do with Ancients in general. True, we had the shades in Amaurot as a general idea, but just like with Azem above, I wasn’t a fan of the featureless or just “human” thing. I still am not, for the record. I think it’s goofy to have everyone be proto-Hyurs and then post-Sundering we suddenly have Hydaelyn give some people a goddess-assigned fursona. And that’s coming from someone who previously played a Hyur, for the record!
But just like how magic focused on the elements specifically instead of the broader strokes, I decided that in ancient times there would be one term for the different tribes. I tried to handwave the shades away with making the region around Amaurot the ancestral home of proto-Hyurs… and then only had one of them in the party. Oops!
Overall, my thought process was to address the weird lore bit that apparently interracial relationships are frowned upon in Eorzea. I mostly wanted to… not… have that apply for ancient times because it’s fucking weird. Not gonna call it anything other than that.
From there, it was as simple as… naming everything and everyone, giving them a place they come from, and… oh god I wrote so much stuff that never came up just so it stayed internally consistent y’all, I almost don’t want to talk about it.
The main notes on that are in Astral Scions, Umbral Sinners I, but to recap:
Hyurs were Amaurotines
Elezen were Atlanteans
Miqo’te were Children of Sirius
Lalafell were Saronian Marchers (Saro)
Roegadyn were the Galg
Viera were Lunarians
Hrothgar were the Watchers
Au Ra were white-scaled Steelhearts and black-scaled Flareseekers; formerly the Volcana
Specifically the Au Ra have a lot of background history that gets mentioned due to Lahabrea being a Flareseeker. Long story. Too long for this already long post.
Speaking of Lahabrea, though; there was rhyme and reason behind why the Ascians were what they were.
Lahabrea (Flareseeker+Amaurotine) is a renowned scholar who also is something of a social outcast both in Amaurot due to his Flareseeker heritage and in Bodhum due to his Amaurotine heritage, which leads to him being quite hard to deal with thanks to bad experiences way in the past
Elidibus (Child of Sirius+Saronian Marcher) is both very quiet and observant and still relies on company if not community and is rather lost without the support of those he deems his family
Emet-Selch (Amaurotine) is the one who misses home the fiercest out of all of them because that’s where his family and he always belonged, that’s where everyone he ever loved was
Hythlodaeus (Atlantean+Amaurotine-Lunarian) feels all over the place and cuts out his paternal home under the waves and his maternal home high above ground to find his own home
Venat (Amaurotine+Lunarian) grew up on her father’s stories about how the star looks from the Floating City of Babil and wanted the more grounded people of her home to see that as well
Another fun thing about ancient times was the fact that I could do whatever I want. It’s not that glaringly obvious with their names, but when it comes to their cities and settlements in general, I got to go a bit wild with it.
And with “wild” I mean I had some fun picking settlement names across the Final Fantasy series. I hope people who know the series a bit outside of XIV itself had some fun with the interludes; I know I had a lot of fun with it. I think if I had to pick a favourite it’d be the Floating City of Babil, the underground city Insomnia, and Archades on the mountains by the sea.
Again, I think having everything, apparently, be Ancient Greek Mythology is… stifling. I admit that even in my more canon-compliant other works I struggle with it. There’s a lot of myths to draw inspiration from; I for one would’ve loved Hermes to deal with a mfing Wolpertinger. Creature of all time.
But… at that point I was writing two different drafts. One where Unukalhai joined shortly before Hythlodaeus as POV character (which also was a joke about the darkness-aligned character joining before the light-aligned one because darkness is active), and one where he remained a non-POV but important character. Kind of similar to what Minfilia became after she was saved! It was the same for both of them up until he joined the party for good.
If I had gone with 7 POV characters instead of my full party set-up, there was a bit of an act dedicated to unravelling his feelings on this nonsense. Specifically a non-POV Unukalhai wouldn’t have spent as much time with everyone else and would have gone down a different mental rabbit hole of eventually struggling with not being able to get his revenge on Igeyorhm while also starting to feel like a replacement heist from an alternate timeline self is extremely creepy considering how the “heroes” of the Void all changed until they were effectively replaced by alternate versions of themselves. He’d have tagged along for Meteor’s Regula mission and would have gotten to hear their version of the replacement heist after they escape from Garlemald together. (Meteor taking over this timeline’s version of themself grew much less important overall as the drafting continued, so it never really came up again beyond Titan where the alternate self died during Living Dead).
After that Unukalhai would have mellowed out a bit until he would join the Ascians and Cylva on the First to deal with the Flood of Light. That would’ve been the last of him until the part where Meteor and G’raha come to the Empty.
Overall, a non-POV Unukalhai would have been less gloomy but also would have been a completely different beast. He remains fairly introspective and reclusive across both drafts, but the reclusion gets the better of him as non-POV character.
The setting itself was also becoming rather rigid—part of having so many things set in stone while adding more and more. It would be extraordinarily hard to integrate whatever canon proceeded with. I couldn’t add or remove characters because that led to a ripple effect throughout the whole plot, and the ending was admittedly the first thing I decided on after I got the idea for the premise. It was the only thing I couldn’t negotiate myself out of.
I can work with that! I’ve worked with that before!
But unlike previous longfics, something about TTAU felt daunting in ways I couldn’t articulate at any point. Still can’t. I guess I just really wanted it to be everything I’d want to read at any given time, and I really am my own harshest critic. Great going, Ms aethercurrent née vanitaslaughing, now you’ve made yourself anxious about disappointing the target audience (yourself).
I also struggled with not only making it fun for me but also for readers; I wouldn’t have posted it if I didn’t want to share it with people. I hope I did a good job in the end, but really I can only speak for myself here. If you read it, even partially, I hope you at least had some measure of fun before you dropped that absolute behemoth of a fic, and if you finished it entirely there are no words in either language I speak to convey how happy I am that my silly big baby entertained you to stick through with it until the end.
I eventually reached a point where more and more details were starting to form that were needed to keep things straight while probably never coming up.
Every member of the Convocation before the Sundering has a name and was assigned a race. Most of them are mentioned in an Interlude, but in most cases there’s some sort of underlying joke to them. Similarly all of them received titles similar to Speaker, Emissary, Architect, Seer; I attempted to keep it somewhat balanced and/or in line with a fantasy government. Messenger Mitron and Listener Loghrif sound a bit redundant with the Emissary Elidibus around, but those two specifically mostly stick to Amaurot and the more immediate surrounding settlements—specifically calling back to that one city mentioned in the sidequests in Amaurot where you deal with the debating shades. Something akin to a national relations minister, an international relations minister, and one specifically for the neighbouring countries.
At around that time the Twelve were also decided to be actual genuine deities of the star. A bit of inspiration comes from Sailor Moon (nothing concretely 100% similar, but the Twelve are effectively the star’s Sailor Scouts who also have the ability to become a new small system if they decide to leave), but I mostly just wanted them to be, y’know. Gods. Coming back to the issue I have with canon going “everything’s Amaurot”, I can’t say I love how the Twelve are in canon but I do adore them as characters. It made me choosing Menphina as the one to speak with the group all the more sweeter since I think out of all of them she’s my favourite design-wise.
There was also the thing with the Seer position that needed to be tackled at this point. I’m morbidly fascinated by characters who know the story they’re in but can’t do much to influence it because they can only tell what path they’re on depending on the ending.
I think the biggest struggle especially towards the end was the fact that I often drafted at least two possible POVs for a chapter. I often went in expecting to write one POV, got stuck irreversibly on it somehow, steamrolled the whole thing, and wrote out the other draft. I’ve cannibalised previous drafts into complete rewrites of the same POV a lot more than you’d think I have. And I only save a copy of a chapter that reached a certain word threshold or if there’s something integral written to a degree I like.
One of the worst offenders of the bunch was Chapter 78… which became Chapter 79 when I posted it. Yeah. It got so bad and frustrating that I had to make dealing with Hythlodaeus future me’s problem. Thankfully it didn’t cut too much into the pacing thanks to Act XI being extremely slow due to how introspective it was.
In the earlier days one of the other struggles was formatting. Something about my documents went haywire when pasted, leading to endless strings of completely superfluous <spans> that added strange spacing issues between all that mess. It was something that my older works struggled with too, which became a non-issue over the years (thankfully. I shudder thinking about possibly having to deal with that issue while already spending 48 hours formatting Eden Rewrite correctly).
The documents just eventually started to bug out because they were so damned long. I never expected them to be in one, but I have five documents holding all of this fic. It’s rather funny to see four chilling and the fifth on top with a 00 as its first characters in the document title so I see it first.
It's... really bittersweet to remove that 00 and seeing them all together now.
That's... about it for the fic as it was posted there. Whether you read the fic or just read this post, once again: thank you.
Thank you for sticking with me for six years, or for reading about the earliest of these six years!
~
For those who remember at a certain point I was considering overhauling the fic and implementing canon from Endwalker at that time, there's a bit more post to go specifically relating to that idea!
You’d think I’d struggle with keeping the canon characters and the fanfiction versions apart as someone who prefers staying canon compliant, but over the years those guys became their own beasts. Ophion could never have been Themis, but why would I want them to be the same? I needed Ophion for this fic to work, after all.
A lot, and I mean a metric shitton of stuff, breaks and changes there. It’s been a fun thought experiment at the very least. I’ll be the first one to admit that I don’t like the Warrior of Light being a reincarnation of Azem’s sundered soul; I just like them being a nobody with no preconceived notion that they’re bound to adventure no matter what because that’s what their soul always did… but Hythlodaeus likewise can’t replace them in that case.
The solution to that first massive hurdle? I suck up the Azem thing, and instead of an Unsundered Hythlodaeus, the one that joins the party is the Shade. His plot stays surprisingly intact through all of that, but instead of dealing with forced indecisiveness it becomes more of a plot about identity and what to do when you’re a creation on the path to freeing the real deal you were based on.
Out of all of them, Lahabrea changes surprisingly little—I wrote him like a stern father to Igeyorhm in this, and you can mostly mix and match a lot of that onto Erichthonios. Instead of dealing with her ascensions and the fact that she needed to be taken out, Lahabrea gets to see his son reincarnate and die over and over again.
Honestly? I could even keep the dual Elidibus approach. Instead of Ophion (the previous one’s student) and Rafael (the Zodiark sacrifice), it would be Elidibus (the Heart of Zodiark) and Themis (the rest of the Heart still remaining with Zodiark). There would be a lot of overlap with the Shade here but in the end the Shade and Hythlodaeus would exist independently from one another while the Heart of Zodiark reunites and becomes Themis again.
I think the parts where I would have to genuinely start rewriting it entirely is where to integrate canon Venat over TTAU Venat and the Endsinger. TTAU Venat is a lot more mellow than canon Venat—a shitty mother but an excellent politician versus canon’s all-loving hero with an understanding of but no love lost for politics. The Meteia as a villain are a lot less vague and distant than the Star Itself. Instead of a journey to the innermost reaches it’s to the edge of the universe. Doable, yes, but marginally harder to do. Honestly, thinking about it as I’m writing this, I think I would have to do an arc where at least Meteor if not all Sundered go to Elpis in the past to learn something while the Unsundered+Shade remain in the present to deal with the Final Days…?
Actually, let’s tackle the characters one by one in a canon-adjusted remake.
This would be assuming that there is inter-shard travel so the starting group would still be Meteor, Ryne, and G’raha. The one major major change would be that instead of Elidibus the “Ancient” to go with them would be the Shade.
Meteor would change the least. They don’t care about being Alexis, they don’t care about being Azem either. They’re one of a handful children of a farmer family in La Noscea, not some sort of government freak from ancient times long before they were ever born. They didn’t start travelling because their soul told them to after they got the Echo, they started travelling because they damn well wanted to after seeing the Calamity, get outta here with that “Azem” nonsense.
In an Elpis episode they would do the opening section for the most part. Not much else to say here.
G’raha would be a lot more cheerful once the initial horror stage of travelling through time to prevent the end of the world again faded. He’d still have his struggles with the idea of possibly letting down the future Ironworks and being arguably the least experienced in the adventuring department.
In an Elpis episode, G’raha would likely be the one to deal with Venat overall. She’d be the perfect foil to him; an experienced traveller to his inexperienced adventurer. They’re both old but he’s barely a blip on her lifespan. They’re both incredibly determined to find the reason for why this is happening.
Ryne would feel a bit more resentment towards Ascians in general at that point. Other than that, her struggle was always being the odd one out amongst the Sundered, about being face to face with the woman she was named after and seeing why that woman was so beloved. About finding her own niche and staying there, no matter the people she loses.
I think out of all of the Sundered in a possible back-in-time-again Elpis episode, she would be the one to sympathise the most with Hermes despite also possibly interacting with him the least; she would likely lead the charge right before Ktisis Hyperboreia and her plot in Elpis would mostly be about travelling treacherous foreign terrain just the way Thancred taught her.
Unukalhai’s a bit of an odd case. After all there’s still two drafts, one where he joins the party as main POV character, and one where he becomes something along the lines of TTAU Minfilia. In a rework of that, I’d have to apply a lot of the Void lore since revealed to him, which makes him go from an odd case to an even odder case. He’d… either possibly involuntarily make Azdaja’s predicament worse, or free her before Endwalker happens but she loses her memories and becomes his cool new partner in crime until a completely flabbergasted Vrtra has to drop the facade immediately because no one told him a thrice-damned Warrior of Light had his sister tagging along what the fuck.
The hypothetical Elpis Episode would have a POV Unukalhai likely be the one to help Meteion get a gift for Hermes. His already intense internal hatred coming to the surface to turn a flower from bright white to darkest shadow, mirroring what happened with Hermes and the flowers in the past? Yeah. That’s the good shit.
In a non-POV case he’d stick with the Scions to help deal with the Final Days and his section of the story most likely would have gone to Ryne.
Ophion would likely still be a soul in Zodiark. Other than that, he’s not relevant.
Themis or the Heart of Zodiark… wouldn’t necessarily be the first one to join them. Actually, I think he’d be the last one. Immovable object without memories meets unstoppable force that draws in his allies. Overall he would be a lot colder on account of having no memories, and be rather fiercely protective of the other Unsundered for reasons he cannot recall. He’d make for an excellent diplomat, but it would likewise lead straight into his greatest vice: vague, foggy memories of something other other that might float up to the surface on occasion. Claudien would be an extremely weak spot for him, except unlike Lahabrea in the same position, Themis cannot tell how or why he’s reacting like that.
While the Sundered are off for their Episode Elpis, Themis would likely scour through the Crystal Tower to find a way to interact with the him from the timeline the others came from.
Emet-Selch would be the first legitimate Ascian to “join” their cause.
Mostly out of morbid curiosity, partially because he wants to figure out how in the name of all good graces a recreation of Hythlodaeus with sentience so advanced it can be deadpan sarcastic and have an identity crisis is with there, and it’s driving him just a bit insane. He’d actually be a lot more antagonistic as a result, and he’d be the one mostly bemoaning the Sundered and how Meteor is a disgrace to Azem early on until they have enough of his nonsense and beat him up. That would serve the purpose of actually confirming that they have the strength to kill an alternate timeline version of Emet-Selch and he mellows out a bit. Not much. Just a bit.
Overall he’d be a lot more prickly—which makes for an interesting switch when during the Final Days on the Source he very swiftly drops the antagonism. It’s a bit of a “been there, done that” attitude but since the star itself is in danger he has surprisingly few qualms about saving a few Sundered while he’s at it.
Lahabrea wouldn’t change much like I said, though there would be a lot more ruthlessness behind anything and everything he does. He’s willing to walk over corpses no matter what instead of calming down a little on that once he’s been thoroughly humbled (and untempered).
He’d also be a bit more strangely sentimental internally around Minfilia specifically; he already compares her to Igeyorhm a few times in TTAU proper but in a canon-compliant rewrite the comparison point would be Erichthonios. No matter how ruthless he is, at the end of Pandæmonium he and Erichthonios started the long journey of making up, and Minfilia reminds him of Erichthonios’s best qualities in a quite haunting way. They’re both tenacious and care about everything and everyone from the bystander to the one causing the mess… except Minfilia is a bit more spicy and willing to speak her mind. He wouldn’t be as fond of her by the end, but he’d still accept her terms and teach her.
Lahabrea during the Final Days would likely be recruited by Urianger and the Loporrits as additional quality control.
I’ve gone over the Hyth Shade, but the endgame there would be essentially affirming that he is as much a person as the Sundered are. Sure, he may have been someone else’s creation but that doesn’t make him any less a person on this star, not to mention he was one of the time travellers.
The real Hythlodaeus also would’ve been rather delighted to have an identical twin, and one who’s fighting against the Final Days no less.
Can’t go into too much detail otherwise, since this canon compliant version never quite left the drafting phases for obvious reasons. He’s the one character who more reacted to the plot than being the one to move it along, and without the plot there isn’t much to say.
He’d have stayed behind to deal with the Final Days, and he’d likely have been one of the first to go to Garlemald when news of the skies changing there broke.
The one major departure from canon would be that Zodiark and Hydaelyn aren’t fully slain—Zodiark specifically it put under a complete stasis spell in the middle of unravelling, but that breaks the protective shroud He has over Etheirys and the Final Days start happening again. Hydaelyn created meticulous seals and mechanisms to ensure that despite being bound the protective shroud remains, but under full stasis and while the whole thing is falling apart…
(Hyth Shade was the one to suggest it to the Watcher, Elidibus, and Emet-Selch as an absolute last resort. None of them really wanted Zodiark to suffer; the main goal still remains to bring back those Ancients should it prove possible).
All issues with how wonky and not finished that is aside, I’d also get a lot of extremely fun things to explore. Jullus already is one of my favourite characters introduced in Endwalker, but having him tell his story to Emet-Selch would be super interesting. There’s knowing what you’re doing, and there’s coming face to face with it, and that would genuinely be super cool to do.
Then there’d be the whole Heart of Sabik business—I’d unironically love for that whole mess to unfold with the real Lahabrea and Elidibus there while there’s memory-creations Erichthonios and Themis there as well. That would be absolutely chaotic on top of Athena also being there. Atrocious vibes, ten out of ten.
Likewise, Ryne and Vrtra would also be an interesting pair of characters to interact; they’re both the youngest siblings (of a sort in Ryne’s case), they’re both intensely protective of the people they care about, and they couldn’t bring themselves to hurt those they love even if it were absolutely necessary until someone else confirmed that this was the only way. There’s also that loss of family (Azdaja missing, Ratatoskr/Bahamut/Nidhogg dead; the whole abandoned timeline) that would have them interact in a neat way too, they’re quite similar to each other.
Unukalhai and Zero. She’s effectively everything he was said to be and they both failed. There’d be an interesting dynamic between them because of that—even if getting Zero in on the plot would be rather hard. Unukalhai would definitely try and sympathise with Zenos’s voidsent and maybe try to get them to abandon their master, and through that realise that she might not be there entirely willingly.
But overall, the hardest character to implement would be the Meteia. There’s eight main characters and there’s eight different opinions on this mess, ranging from intensely sympathetic and willing to rebuild burnt bridges (Ryne, Meteor, Hyth Shade, Elidibus if he regains his memories before Ultima Thule), apathetic despite how high the stakes are (Unukalhai, Elidibus if he doesn’t regain his memories), different levels of less sympathetic (Lahabrea, Emet-Selch), and the option where G’raha has such intense issues with being not overly sympathetic and having no sympathy at all that his understanding of the situation is wildly out of control until the very end.
Having worked with them as both individuals and as a hivemind in a couple writing exercises, I honestly would have had a Meteion for every main character, and give all eight of them a proper story on top of what’s already going on there. Narrative foils that lead both parties to Ultima Thule.
Putting that one lightly: that would’ve been a goddamn motherfucking nightmare to write. Fun, but a nightmare.
And that's a lot coming out of Ms Almost Half a Million Words Across Six Years.

Rejet...just Rejet
Cw for mentions of age gaps, teacher x student romance, slave x slave owner romance, pedophilia, incest, misogyny, sexualized violence and imprisonment against women, suicide and suicide ideation, real and fictional racism, stalking, bullying, DID misrepresentation, and vore.
LOOOOOOOOONG post ahead.
Rejet started out as female-oriented CD and otome game developer since 2009, with Daisuke Iwasaki and Hirotaka Maeda being the central figures of the company. However, their bodies of work can be traced back to 2007, with Hirotaka Maeda illustrating the Vitamin X series, and Daisuke Iwasaki writing lyrics for the OP and ED songs of Dear My Sun ~Musuko Ikusei Capriccio~.
Games:
The company’s first game was Lucien Bee’s: Resurrection Supernova, a game about forcing the unique-looking love interests of different cultures to conform to Japan’s beauty standards. They cut the Arabaic character’s afro and straightened it, and to this day, I’m still pissed-off about it. The first fandisk, Justice Yellow, has the 17 year old MC dating a few love interests twice her age (17 and 34, wtf). The second fandisk, Evil Violet, not only has 3 love interests who are either too young or old for the MC, but they’re also the villans…at least the MC is a villan here…I think…I hope.
Rejet helped publish Red Entertainment’s game Scared Rider XechS, which, while it has a good, sometimes confusing, story, it unfortunately has the love interest in their 20’s end up in a romance with the 17 year old MC, and said MC, despite the other love interests being 16-18, is their superior who they don’t actually respect and one of them refers to her as ‘teacher’…
Rejet’s second game series is the Renai Banchou (Love Gangster) Series. Consisting of the first one with a long title, and the second one subtitled Midnight Lesson. This game series not only features a few teen x adult romances, but most of the characters look suspiciously similar to their voice actors…and I don’t know whether to think this is clever or creepy.
Rejet’s third game series, and the first one to become popular and have the most games, is the Tokyo Yamanote Boys, which is about a love tournament where the MC is to date a group of guys and choose one of them as her ultimate “Prince.” This seems like a comedy (and unfortunately one of the LIs stalking the MC is treated as hilarious), but it actually has a darker plot shift…which I can kind of respect since it’s treated as a bad thing and sort of criticizes the love tournament plot…Emphasis on ‘sort of’ because the MC and love interest end up getting married with only less than a week of knowing each other. The good news is that all of the love interests are around 16-18 and the MC is 17…unfortunately, the romance ends up feeling a tad rushed because of the few days they got to know each other, and one of the love interests stalks the MC to “protect” her. Another love interest only in the fan disk is also a serial killer. Rejet, you had one job to make The Bachelor/The Bachelorette in otome game form and you failed.
Rejet’s fourth game is Gekka Ryouran Romance, and the only good route is the Yuri route. The game is supposed to be a ‘forbidden romance’, which consist of being in a relationship with two bothers at the same time, a school nurse dating a student, a 14 year old in a relationship with a 17 year old, and incest…and Rejet wants to say the wlw route is just as forbidden as the other routes…
Rejet’s fifth game is Beyond the Future -Fix the Time Arrows-, and it’s your typical adventure fantasy game, but it’s thankfully not too dark. The only routes that matter are Kirito and Camus. The MC’s design is also cute. I don’t have much to say honestly. If 5/7 routes weren’t teen x adult parings, this would be a pretty descent game.
Rejet’s sixth game is Black Wolves Saga, which is a fantasy series that’s like Game of Thrones, but with animals and humans. All of the relationships suck, even the seemingly normal or descent ones. It shouldn’t have been romance oriented because the story conflicts so much with the plot. This is also the second time Rejet has this ‘torturing the MC’ thing going on, and it’s getting a bit concerning.
Rejet’s seventh game is Dot Kereshi -We’re 8bit Lovers-, a parody of JRPGs where the MC is isekai’d into the game she hasn’t played in a while. I like the idea of this, but I’m a little weary it won’t actually be a parody and just play said tropes straight with a few comedic bits here and there. It does have the NPC character be a yandere which is…a choice.
Rejet’s eighth game is Ken ga Kimi (Name of the Sword) which I’ve heard good things about, and none of the characters, at least to my knowledge aren’t based on real people. I haven’t gotten into it, but the main dude actually looks like he’d have a cute romance considering he’s a chill foodie. (Please don’t be another BWS, PLEASE don’t be another BWS!)
Rejet’s ninth game is -8 (Minus Eight), a game where the MC has to fall in love or else the school she just transferred to will shut down…That’s fucking HILARIOUS! And the MC is just as funny as the love interests? SIGN ME UP! …Unfortunately, despite it’s fun premise, the actual routes use the same writing template and plot…an there are 8 of them…It’s a bit disappointing honestly.
Rejet’s tenth game is Moshikami (If God Were to Exist in this World) and no, I’m not typing out it’s long-ass title. This is probably on the top of the list of ‘torturing the MC’ Rejet has done. The MC is constantly bullied by other girls and assaulted by guys not within her friend group, was raped by her brother’s best friend from high school at a young age, said friend was killed by her brother, the brother then proceeds to victim-blame his little sister for ‘tempting’ his friend and then proceeds to rape her, leading the MC to pray to Amaterasu to become a guy, but then want to still look like a girl because she fears her brother wouldn’t recognize her (the trauma of being raped caused her to forget that incident) so she identifies as androgynous instead…Wow, Rejet, that’s a lot of bullshit to have your MC present as androgynous and not just let her…be that because she wants to. There’s only three routes that matter (Shuri, my boy), and the brother is possibly the worst DID representation I’ve seen in an otome game. I thought Natsuki from Utapri and Ukyo from Amnesia were bad, but clearly I was wrong.
Rejet’s eleventh and “final” game is Usotsuki Shangri-La (Liar Moon Shangri-La) and it’s Rejet’s more tame games (thank GOD). Like the title suggests, this is based on Norse Mythology, and the true end is probably the most well-written romance Rejet’s done. They even had the MC and true boy meet as children instead of the guy being an adult, WHAT A CONCEPT! Unfortunately, this makes the other routes feel pointless, which is a shame since I thought Hati was cute and the Brothers of Calamity’s story was interesting. It’s not much, but after Moshikami, I’ll happily take this.
Drama CDs:
2011-2012:
Diabolik Lovers: Well well, if it isn’t the first appearance of the ‘torturing the MC’ saga. DL actually has a descent idea; a darker and steamier look at romance featuring vampires. This could work…if it weren’t for the fact that Yui/ the character in the CDs doesn’t consent to ANY OF IT! Sure the people who actively bought the CDs and games consent to it, but not Yui! It would’ve been great if Yui was into S&M from the beginning and wanted to be bitten. I also don’t like how Rejet and the fandom use S&M as an excuse for the way the guys treat Yui/the listener. Consent is sexy, Rejet, fuckin’ UTILIZE IT!
Tiny X Machinegun: This was a collaboration between Rejet and IM BULLET, a sub-brand of IM who makes the Are You Alice? series. If the main cast weren’t NYC police, I would’ve liked it. The CDs don’t have any romance, which makes since considering the MC is 15 and most of the cast are in their 20s-30s…Wait, what do you mean Rejet made this an otome game with romance? REJET, YOU HAD ONE JOB!
Shinsengumi Wasurenagusa: It features real historical figures as the love interests and makes them boring. And there’s sex scenes…Moving on…
2013:
Seventh Heaven: Oh boy…So, this series has a suicidal MC who comes across the mansion, which consists of seven shinigami butlers called Seventh Heaven, who will comfort her until they kill her with their singing on a full moon. Basically, suicidal ideation, the musical. Would’ve been better if the MC was already dead and the shinigami serve and comfort her until they send her soul off to heaven. There Rejet, I wrote a batter tragic romance for you, where’s my paycheck?
ALICE=ALICE: Alice in Wonderland…but with vore play…except not really because it’s just biting and licking. One of them is Another version of the MC and somehow her twin in the game…Twincest, my favorite/s.
BAD MEDICINE: Sadistic teacher x student romance…The op’s a banger.
VANQUISH BROTHERS: The MC is in an arranged marriage…go on…and the love interests, whom consist of six brothers, must have sex with the MC in order to get their dead father’s inheritance…and you lost me…The love interests are also 15-18 in high school…Underage sex too?!
2014:
LIP ON MY PRINCE: The MC is in a relationship with 6 different prince-like boys from six different schools depending on the CD…that’s it..So Rejet can write a cute romance, but I guess they couldn’t keep their search history out of the writer’s room.
Oz to Himitsu no Ai (Oz: Affair of Six Keys): The Wizard of Oz but with sexism and misogyny…why? However, the short stories about the LIs during their time at the orphanage and and the 7th CD featuring all of the LIs made me cry…They were actually well written…REJET, WHERE DID THIS QUALITY WRITING COME FROM?! They also criticize the MC being groomed and raped by an authority figure and have a brother character who doesn’t have romantic feelings for the MC?! REJET, WHY CAN’T YOU PUT THIS EFFORT INTO THE MAIN SIX CDS?! MC is the best part if this series.
Soubou Sangokushi (Hope of the Three Kingdoms): Basically a slightly more hornier version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The art and op are nice, but I’m not too invested.
Taisho Idol Romance Empire Star: The MC becomes the manager of 5 (later 6) stage performers during the Taisho period. The only one I’m interested in is the childhood friend. I wish all of them had theater-kid energy.
Ookami Kunchi -Wolves Brothers Home-: Based on Little Red Riding Hood where the country-bumpkin MC moves to Ikebukuro, where she moves into a mansion with 6 brothers, who turn out to to be in a compensated dating service to pay for their parents’ One Million yen. Wish they were actually Werewolves and if the forced dating service was more deconstructed. I do find it funny how the youngest brother is literally just a slightly more mature Kanato, right down to the stuffed animal and being voiced by Yuki Kaji.
Criminale!: The MC is a part of the mafia with 6 childhood friends as her bodyguards. Her father dies so they protect her while trying to figure out who murdered he dad. Would’ve liked this better if they were just a group helping the MC a la Bustafellows instead of a mafia.
SACRIFICE: The MC receives 6 letters from her childhood friends and a mysterious person, all proclaiming their love for her and ask her to join the mystical world of SACRIFICE. Once she’s sent their via butler riding a carriage, she learns that she can’t physically touch her long-time friends and must become a part of this strange world to be with them. The twist is that all of them, including the butler, are all dead and this world is basically a cult where they can escape from reality. Brilliant concept, and while it’s explored a little, there’s very little you can do with such a concept in an hour long CD. The butler is also the MCs brother who named himself after her dead cat, Calmera, and I guess he created the cult? He’s the last CD and it was too open-ended, leaving some plot threads unresolved. Would’ve been better as a game.
Tsukiyasha Mysterious Vampires of the Meiji Era: Blood-sucking yasha in the Meiji Era. The MCs blood is important for the survival of the yasha. Has nice artwork and winter aesthetic, the OPs a friggin banger and the last love interest is a himbo voiced by Mozu from Bustafellows…Too bad he’s not in the sequel. Not DL levels of blood-sucking (except for the policeman LI because of course) but it’s still…there…
HAPPY SUGAR DARLIN’: The MC works at a Italian-themed sweets cafe with 5 guys who attend a performing arts school. There’s a bear mascot who turns out to be the MCs brother. He has no romantic interest in his sister, thank GOD! The romance is so cute that people were wondering if it was really a Rejet IP lol.
2015:
Zenryoku Shounen Tachi no O-uta and Toriai: MC’s in a performing arts school and meets 6 guys living their lives. Separated into two characters rather than one and features banger songs. I honestly just imagine this series as a mlm CD instead lol.
Lacrimosa -The Seven Sins-: The MC is the daughter of a powerful and well-beloved king of a Latin-based kingdom. The MC follows a blue bird into a small and hidden palace. As the MC enters the palace, she unknowingly breaks the seal keeping seven of the king’s knights held hostage, each of them representing the seven deadly sins. The king’s horrendous secrets are exposed, leading the MC to view her father differently. Neat premise with the theme of a tragic romance, but I’m not sure how well executed it is.
LOVE DON QUIOTE: MC enters a new school where romance is forbidden. The theme of this CD is kabedon, where the LIs push the MC against the wall in an intimidatingly steamy way. OP’s catchy…but overall meh.
Yugen Romantica: MC’s in a school where she discovers that a few students are actually the rumored seven wonders (ayakashi) of her school. Hikaru Midorikawa plays Hanako, the toilet ghost, who is flamboyant and fancy as fuck. Yeah, that’s all I got.
Mignight Jinagshis: Blood-sucking CD but with the Chinese Jiang shis, which, to my understanding, are damned souls in the form of zombies who take souls of the living. Most recent adaptations depict them as blood-suckers, so you can see where this is going. But, this is actually my favorite of the blood-sucking CDs because you can tell the writers and VAs were having fun, ESPECIALLY Shinnosuke Tachibana. He made the yandere character actually fun to listen to because he was just so over-the-top hammy! The second series had the new LI want revenge on one of the idol Jiangshi because he was supposed to debut with his idol group, but the other idol dude gave him ice cream that caused him a stomachache, leaving the new LI not able to perform and debut as an idol. Rejet should be funny more often, because this is great!
Dear Vocalist: A music series where the MC’s in a relationship with the lead singers of different bands working under the same company. Some of them have a nice romance, others…not so much…It really depends how well the writing is I guess.
Paradise O’ Whisper: MC is a new student at a music school and is greeted to God 6, a group of popular students with rumors surrounding them. One of them apparently can get someone pregnant just by looking at them lol. Funnily enough, that guy is actually the best one out of the others. He does the bare minimum, but this is Rejet, they should’ve done the bare minimum since the beginning. The others…treat the MC like garbage. The greatest thing that happened in this series is the MC slaps one of the guys after he tells her his sob story. Justice for MC!
Honey Liar!?: MC is a school student and is somehow in a forced relationship with the student council. The theme with this CD is that each of them have a completely different personality underneath their exterior, which could be fun, but the personality switch was so jarring that it felt like two completely different characters. The one with the paper bag on his head is a misogynist…
Occultic Lovers: There’s a secret society in a high school that fights spirits…Okay. Like the aesthetic, and it’s a bit more plot heavy, but it’s not my thing. There doesn’t deem to be a creepy love interest, so that’s good.
2016:
Kuro Yoshiwara Melancholia: The MC is a mermaid being persuaded by the LIs who want to use her scales for ulterior motives. One of the LIs is a cat boy and the MC being a mermaid is the only thing I find interesting about this series. The music’s pretty neat though.
FRESH KISS 100%: A Happy Sugar knock-off but with a soda theme and a cute penguin mascot instead. Relatively harmless, and focuses more on the idol aspect, but it’s only cute fluff and not doing anything bad.
G-Goku Spa: Possibly the most interesting premise yet, the MC is the daughter of the underworld ruler (yomi specifically) and is checking the onsen that demons are forced to work in for all of eternity to know it’s secrets. An onsen in hell?! Okay, that’s actually interesting. I believe it has 2 disks in each CD, so they’re able to do a bit more with the premise than they usually do.
Yotogi HoLiC: The MC has trouble sleeping, so she is sent to the Yotogi household, which consists of sextuplets who’s job is to help their hosts fall asleep. I heard that it actually helps the listener fall asleep, so Rejet did actually manage to do their job correctly this time! Good job Rejet, you get a ‘you tried’ sticker!
Forbidden Star: A music series featuring different idol groups. They apparently have an ‘edge’ them them, but to me, they just look like gay theater-kids lol.
CHU LDK: The MC recently moves to a share house with 6 other guys. Seems like it could be a cozy experience, but the MC’s in high school, 2 of them are in college, and one of them is a science teacher. Rejet, you lost the right to that ‘you tried’ sticker, give it back.
Cia Voice: An ASMR CD where the MC is taken to a relaxation spa. I like Ryouhei Kimura’s character, Iris’, design the most, but that’s about it. It looks fine for what it is.
Issei Fubi: The MC is of higher class and has a male harem of concubines. Considering how concubines were treated back then, I don’t think making them guys is the 'take that’ Rejet thinks it is.
Prince of Grimm: Grimm fairy tales reinterpreted by the MC as she’s in a coma recollecting her memories. Red Riding Hood’s a better version of Ayato, but the rest range from neat, meh, and OH MY GOD HE MURDERED HIS ENTIRE FAMILY?!
Taisho Kuro Kazoku: The ill MC is friends with discriminated beasts (humans with animal ears) and it’s supposed to be a sad romance. Would’ve worked better as regular racism story. If humans are involved and the discriminated class only have animal ears, just make them people of color. But, I do find it funny how the one with rabbit ears is essentially a less unhinged version of Azusa, right down to the shy personality, bandages, sad past, is a masochist, and is voiced by Daisuke Kishio.
THANATOS NiGHT: Same premise as Seventh Heaven, but it’s fallen angels going to high school instead of a mansion full of shinigami butlers. The aesthetic is cool and the songs are good, and Nia is a better written version of Laito, but the romance is…not good.
2017:
Shuukyoku no DOLLS (The Ultimate DOLLS): The MC is convinced to go to a new puppet show with rumored life-sized dolls that come to life. The leader of the show and creator of the dolls, Bellemere, has the MC come on stage and have her pick out a doll for her to keep. The twist is that said dolls are to slowly turn the MC into a doll so that her body can be used as a vessel for Bellemere’s dead wife’s soul. Cool premise, AMAZING artwork and aesthetic, but only one of the dolls is somewhat likeable. The backstories for the characters are somewhat interesting.
Corpse Heart: A musical that takes place in a monster school in London. The MC, a witch, is the only one with a beating heart, and the upcoming Easter Festival revolves around the students searching for the Jewel Heart, and whoever posses it gets their wish granted. Obviously the MC contains the Jewel Heart, and the plot becomes more confusing as it goes on. One of them turns out to be the MCs father…which makes ZERO sense because he’s not only one of the younger characters and it has nothing to do with him wanting to become an idol, but you’re telling me this guy killed the other LI’s whole family and is somehow the principal of the school?! This twist isn’t even mentioned in the other CDs! The last one’s with her 'twin’, so expect insect, but PLOT TWIST, she’s actually a homunculus with her memories scrambled up by said 'twin’, and he’s been keeping the Jewel Heart in multiple clones so the Easter Festival can go on each year. Dude, WHAT’S YOUR END GOAL?! 0/10, Worst Monster High reboot.
2018:
Princess of Luciole: The MC finds herself in an old mansion. Said mansion is apparently a pocket demension where 1800’s French servants of a princess born of inbreeding thinks the MC is said princess, and they believe she has lost her memories. Honestly, this is the best horror story Rejet has done so far. The princess they serve is apparently cruel, sadistic, and evil, which leads them developing a twisted love for their princess and it’s written that way too. The MC has zero recollection of these events, making the audience even more horrified. I’d give more praise to this series, but…the plot twist ruins everything the CD built it’s plot on.
The twist is that the MC is actually from the 1500s rather than modern times. The prince from the 1500s, who’s the last love interest, Dr. Thriller, loved the MC, who was a servant, and I guess he’s some kind of time traveler and can see the future, I think, so he intended to put the MC into his future generation’s role as princess so she can become just as messed up as he is. But I guess something happened along the way and she ended up in modern times without any memories. So her coming across the manor was on purpose, and while she’s slowly losing her mind, Dr. Thriller dons said name and pretends to be the prison warden to keep an eye on her. The craziest part of this is that IT WORKS! Not only that, but they end up in a romantic relationship and kill everyone in the manor. REJET, YOU HAD ONE JOB TO DO ACTUALLY GOOD HORROR AND YOU FAILED! HOW DID YOU FAIL SO SPECTACULARLY?!
Tokyo Cemetery: The MC works as a police officer trying to solve a case of a mass murder. She also suspects her 6 partners since one of them might be the killer. Basically if Collar X Malice was written by Rejet and had another banger theme song.
C'mon Fellows!: A music series about fictional YouTubers. It apparently has a deeper plot, but meh. It’s probably descent.
Others:
MARGINAL#4: A music series that was supposed to only be mascots for Rejet’s 2013 concert, but they became popular enough to warrant their own game and anime. The game’s bad because the MC’s an adult manager who looks after 4 teenage idols and falls in love with them. Ew. I heard the anime was actually wholesome and good. There is some implied twincest going on with the twins in media outside of their music…Rejet STOP!
ZEPHYR: A short animation in collaboration with Studio Satelight. I’ve never watched it because it doesn’t even have subtitles, but the theme song for it is pretty good. Takes place in a sci-fi setting focusing on a band.
Dance with Devils: A 12 episode musical anime animated by Brain’s Base with music by Elements Garden of Uta no Prince-Sama fame. The story’s about Ritsuka Tachibana, an ordinary girl who gets caught up in a battle between demons and vampires. She holds the Forbidden Grimoire inside of her, which whoever wields it can control the world. Despite my grievances with the incest, Lindo’s character in general, and the romance not being that good, I still came out of this anime liking it. It’s saved by Ritsuka’s character and the ending. Some people are upset that Ristsuka doesn’t get to stay in the demon realm with her dude, but it makes more sense character-wise for Ristuka to want to stay in the human realm.
AND I’M DONE! Holy shit, this was longer than expected. Thanks Rejet for the content/s.

Good morning K,
Am I right you met JL before 2018? I remember you shared a pic of him hugging you when he had his hair dyed during the Joker’s era (you were wearing a tank top and his fingers were tickling the side of your boop!). May you tell us a little about that meeting?
Thanks + have a nice Hump day!☀
Hi anon! Have a nice day too! 👋
Yeah I've "met" him a few times in my days... 🤭
My 1st ever encounter was in March 2014 when they had a show here and the day before the show I passed their hotel (that only 5* hotel we have... 😂) and noticed there were a handful of fans outside waiting so I decided to wait a while in case smthg happened, and indeed not long after that SL waltzed out and came to chat with the fans a bit, and then some time later Messiah walked out all sulky and shit and slipped into his car without a word or a wave. 🙄
So technically my 1st ever "encounter" was with Bitchred. 😂
Then in 2015 I went to Getafe and bought my 1st M&G package and "met" him at the photo lineup, which is the post-Joker Pink Flamingo era you're referring to.
He was polite (as is customary at a M&G), and greeted me back when I said hi and posed for our pic (and yeah his finger was tickling my side boob a bit... 🤭).
But as is always the case at these photo lineups, the moment lasted merely seconds so there's not much else to say about it. 🤷🏼♀️
My 3rd encounter was the M&G in Stockholm in April 2018, when I managed to get some facetime at the Q&A session and he gave me a looooooooong ass sermon about how he totes for realisies deffo never ever EVER reads the crappy reviews. 😂
Something tells me that was Liared preaching tho... 🤥
The photo session afterwards was a bit chilly... 🤭
He DEFFO pushed my back to get me to leave after the pic was done. 🤭👀
Then of course came that August 2018 park encounter, and in 2019 I did "linger around" their hotel in Oulu when I realized the M&G (which I was not attending) was being held at the only decent hotel in that town and I managed to snap a few 📸 in the lobby. 🤭

Heart and Soul (W.I.T.C.H AU)
So, this post will be VERY long one, dedicated to my personal w.i.t.c.h AU. I was thinking about it for so long that it could be it’s own original series. But i know i never going to write the whole story for this idea, and i started to loose interest in writing, and decided to share it somwhere, so that it won’t be wasted. Maybe i will inspire someone, who knows. Anyway if you don’t interested you can just ignore me, i’m doing this more for a self relief than sombody’s approval.
Everyone that stayed, get ready for a looooooooong ride...
So, where did it all started?
Well, right from the beginning. Let's imagine that the heart of Kandrakar was the real heart of a real dragon. You could say a dragon deity. This deity was killed by a huge stream of dark matter that separated their soul from their body, leaving both to drift in space. When the body break apart into tiny particles, the center of the universe formed around its heart, the well-known Kandrakar, where the main w.i.t.c.h. events take place.
But the dragon soul has also formed its own universe, alternative to this one, but without a clear center. The soul itself has taken the form of a crystal that moves from planet to planet, hoping to find a similar world from an alternate universe to reunite with the heart. Because of its shape and manner of appearance, the chosen ones, into whose hands the soul fell, began to call it the Crystal Star.
The dark matter that killed the dragon has not disappeared anywhere. It has become a barrier between the two universes, and prevents the direct movement of the Crystal into the Kandrakar universe. It also destroys the planets of the Soul Universe, on which its existence depends, so the crystal has to fly independently to those regions where it is most needed. Much later, the inhabitants of this universe will call this matter and its manifestations as Blight.
Ok, there’s the basic, what about the story?
The Star evetually falls in alternative world that is, those far, is closest to the W.I.T.C.H’s Earth. The only downside is that there is no one from the main five and their families. Except the Vandomes.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. If there are worlds in the Kandrakar universe that are completely devoid of magic, in the Crystal Star universe each world has its own magical energy. So, all the inhabitants of each planet are endowed with certain magical abilities, but the control of the elements, such as the five main characters have, is extremely rare. The magic of this universe is aimed more at improving the physical characteristics of the user.
And so, on this particular Earth, people have learned to summon the so-called Soul Weapon. They are completely different, from firearms to crossbows, from daggers to massive clubs, it all depends on the predisposition and nature of the owner. Arcane art (elemental control) is also takes place, but is extremely difficult to master. Not only because the element is difficult to bend, but also because it is very difficult to study the arcane because of its rarity.
So, people that exists in both universes are these three - Susan Vandom, Tony Vandom and Dean Collins. All three of them are in the elite squad of Blight Fighters (I hope you haven't forgotten that all the planets of the Crystal Star are periodically raided by dark matter) along with two other squad members who aren't important enough to be named (they'll just get out of the game very quickly, if you know what I mean)
Tony uses a lightning arcane in battle (who would have thought), physically unable to summon a Soul Weapon because of this. He is very fast, control over the element allows him to strengthen his body, he can also electrify metal and fight with it (for example, a chain, when heated, will made a decent cutter)
Susan summons twin blades. She is also very fast, agile, and able to make important strategic decisions on the go. Always arguing with Tony who’s faster.
Dean is another special case. He also has magic, but not over the element, but healing arcane, which is why he has become almost indispensable on particularly dangerous missions
These three have been together since the Training Center, where future fighters against the black malevolent force are trained. They became almost inseparable until love came between them. At first it seemed that Tony had won this battle, but after a while Susan chose Dean instead of him.
However, this did not prevent Tony from sleeping with her at one of the corporate parties. But no one remembered or suspected anything about it when Susan got pregnant. Everyone just decided that the child was from Dean, and closed the topic on this.
Shortly before the birth of the child, Susan gets a Crystal Star, but she does not feel its influence. Just a presence, somewhere very close... A few months later, a girl is born, whom she calls Ellisabeth, and after some reflection it becomes clear who Crystal chose as it’s guardian. This manifested itself in a pale bluish-purple glow around the child, a kind of protection from the new patron.
A little while later, Susan began to go out on missions again, this time without her trusty partners, whose relationship was greatly shaken because of her. Only she and those two insignificant companions remain, one of whom is absorbed by Blight and kills Susan and the second partner.
Tony and Dean are grieving for her, and the first one is trying to take revenge, while the second gets depressed, but has to take care of his daughter, so tries not to get too drunk.
In pursuit of a converted ex-partner, Tony completely forgets that his body has limits, and excessive use of the Arcane can lead to irreversible consequences. He finds and kills the monster at last, but due to an overload of energy, his left arm got torn off. He was already ready to give up his life, as none other than Dean himself comes to save him.
They are both trying to move on, but the problems don't end there. One very dark night, the security poles placed throughout the city, which should signal the presence of blight, cease to function normally, and a flock of dark worms attacks the residential complex where Dean lives.
This attack raises a lot of noise, elite groups were called to fight blight, but it seemed that its source was inexhaustible, no matter how many fighters cut down dark matter, it continued to arrive. Tony also wanted to help, but he understood that with just one hand he would not be much of assistance, but he decided to come anyway. When he arrived, only ruins remained of the house, dark matter curled in the center in the shape of a dome. There's something there, inside, he knew it, he felt it. And someone who was inside this black matter also felt the presence of an old friend.
A lumen of green light appeared from the black clot. Tony could see Dean through it, holding the barrier with the last of his strength and a sobbing baby in his arms. Their eyes met, and Tony immediately realized what his friend was going to do. Gathering his last powers, Dean narrowed the barrier, and lunged forward, throwing the child wrapped in a green barrier in Tony’s direction. He immediately picks it up and runs towards the Training Complex, which is fenced with special protection that do not let Blight inside.
Almost all the black matter rushes after him, but he manages to reach the safe zone. Unfortunately, Dean spent too much energy to get out of this mess alive, and Tony is left all alone, a crippled man with a baby in his arm. He cannot take care of her, and therefore decides to leave the girl in the care of the orphanage of the Training Center. After all, a lot of children lose their parents because of their profession, and Ellie was no exception.
That was just a glimps of the past, are you still here? If yes, then deep down we go!
Ellisabeth, as the guardian of the crystal star, succeeded in everything early. She showed excellent results both in training and in theory, she grasped everything real quick. Due to the fact that she is the chosen one, she was treated very prejudiced.
No one wanted to play with her because they were afraid that the team she would be on would have an unfair advantage. Also, many were simply afraid to be near her, as they had heard about that attack. They believe that Ellie is drawing blight to her and are afraid that they will die the same way as many in that incident
Nevertheless, she finds her loyal friends among the orphans, with whom she will then form a team “Starlinked”. And we finally came to the protagonists from the side of the Crystal Star! Hooray! First of all, the leader:
Ellisabeth (Ellie) Vandom (Leader, Crystal Keeper, Spear)
A girl that looks similar to Will, but with long black hair and bright blue eyes (got more from mom for sure). She is also a little taller than Will, maybe half a head. (I will often compare them because they are sisters, even if from parallel universes) Born on July 4.
Her soul weapon was supposed to be paired blades, same ones that Susan had, but under the influence of the Crystal Star and her not-so-friendly environment it became a Spear. She has fast reflexes, crystal abilities can strengthen her teammates and herself. A very kind girl by nature, but because of the attitude in the orphanage she became quite withdrawn. If it weren't for her friends, she could have continued to hide from people, not wanting to harm them with her presence.
At first, she didn't care about living in an orphanage and learning to fight blight in a complex, but as she got older, she wanted to see the world and participate in real battles, not in magical simulations. But the teachers and the guardians were not ready to let her go, they were afraid that the case of seventeen years ago would happen again, and the girl would not be ready for this.
She still managed to escape from the protection, beyond the complex barriers, where the blight creatures were waiting for her, but she was not alone. Together with her friends, she was able to handle this attack and proved that she can stand up for herself.
And yet, our chosen one didn’t knew that blight has many forms. She fell in love with one of the students in the complex that was about to graduate. Ellie even tried to recrute him in her team by linking him to the star, but crystal’s response shoked her. It zapped her like there was an enemy in front of her, but the boy seemed pretty much normal, so she waved this sign aside.
The crystall was ringing alarm whenever this boy came in sight, and yet, blinded by love, Ellie ignored it as much as she could. Until one day the guy decided to meet her in outskirts of the city. He asked her to come alone because he wanted to tell her something important. I think there is no need to explain how it all ended. She was saved by her friends, who, in their worries, still followed her.
The infected by blight was very jealous of Ellie's power, that she was the chosen one and he was not, and this allowed blight to grow in his heart, although he had never even come close to dark matter creatures before. He almost killed Ellie that day, and was killed almost as soon as the team came to the rescue. This left a big scar on the girl, both mentally and physically (in the center of the chest)
Cooper (Defender, Club) and Rio (Stealthy, Double Kusarigama)
The two have been close since childhood. By an unfortunate coincidence, they also lost their parents together. They were told that they went on a mission and never returned, so, according to a pre-signed agreement, these two were transferred to the orphanage at the Training Complex.
Cooper is a rather bulky young man with wheat-colored hair, a bit yellowish skin, square-round facial features and green eyes like his aura. Born on May 5. Very kind and caring, ready to tear his last shirt for the sake of friends. He found out that his weapon is a club when several children from the orphanage bullied a little boy. Cooper swung his hand, and a handle immediately appeared in it, and a massive structure appeared at the other end, instantly scaring off the offenders.
Rio is an African-American boy with short curly hair. Since childhood he dreamed of becoming a ninja, and rejoiced for a long time when, during the next "rehearsal", he discovered his weapon. His aura is dark blue. Born on March 16. Has a pretty funny attitude. Always trying to be positive and spread it among friends. He jokes in a peculiar way (very often completely out of place)
Apart from the realization of the loss of their parents, they did not have such serious turning points in their lives as Ellie. They met while playing on the playground. Cooper noticed Ellie sitting on a bench to the side and decided to invite her to play ball with him and Rio. Everything was fine until a group of "especially smart kids" began to bully the boys about their choice to hang around next to the "cursed", for which they received a good beating and a couple of bruises.
They have always gone to the playground together since then, and then Adam and Amy joined along.
Adam (Daredevil, Combat Gloves) and Amy (Sharpshooter, Rifle)
These two are twins, born on April 20. Both have dark brown hair and silver-gray eyes. This particular color harmonizes quite well with their auras, so when they use their abilities, in the heat of battle, Adam's eyes turn fiery red, just a couple of shades lighter than his red aura, and Amy's eyes acquire a yellowish tint due to her orange aura.
A younger hot-tempered brother with a righteous heart who constantly finds trouble on his head, and a reasonable, calm older sister who constantly pulls him out of these troubles. There's really nothing more to say about them here. Adam got his "weapon" pretty early when he was beating up another bully at the orphanage. Amy received her rifle much later, although even before that she could create small projectiles in the air and launch them from a hastily assembled slingshot.
They met Ellie when she, Cooper and Rio were being bullied by a small group of children who wanted to be the main ones among their own. In the heat of battle, the twins sided with the chosen one, and since then they have always been happy to spend time together.
Oh and they were punished for this commotion. Being supported by the Crystal Star, they managed to inflict significant injuries on the aggressive side, for which the whole five were bound to clean the rooms within a week (Adam: But it was clearly worth it!)
Okay, and last but not least:
Tony Vandom (Teacher, Mentor, Arcane Energy)
This man has been through a lot of shit... After losing his left arm, he lost his job and main source of income (yes, in this universe, heroes are paid to save worlds). After losing his best friend, he had completely lost himself. For a long time he was engaged in smuggling and other illegal activities, just so he could spend the money on gambling and booze... In the end, he ended up behind bars because of this, but received a pardon, as the director of the Training Center vouched for him, on the condition that he would teach for a new generation as an experienced fighter against Blight.
And so, after a while, he met a girl, whom he once handed into the hands of a maid. He began to observe her, her successes, and how she got a foster family in the form of her friends. Tony tried in every possible way to secretly help this small group of brave children, and as a result, years later, he became their personal mentor.
Despite the lack of a hand, Tony was still an experienced fighter against black matter, and could tell the children the necessary strategies to deal with different types of monsters. Also, he is the one who contacts them from the command center and gives instructions when the five are on official assignments.
He was incredibly scared when he found out what happened to Ellie after the betrayal. It was then, thanks to tests from the hospital, that was revealed that he was a real father to Ellie, but he decided to keep it a secret for now. After all, Ellie didn't question who her parents were... Yet... It was Tony's Arcane Energy that helped Ellie get back on her feet faster, as he gave some of his energy to the Crystal Star to heal the girl's wound. Other friends helped too, but the energy of the soul is not as dense as pure energy itself.
And so, here we are... What now?
Just like in the main series (you haven't forgotten that it's all an AU of W.I.T.C.H., have you?) there was a big turnaround. And no, the betrayal of Ellie's beloved wasn't it. Just like W.I.T.C.H., Starlinked did what all heroes do - they were saving worlds from the invasion of Blight creatures. It would seem that they cannot have a single main villain vatsoever, as it was in W.I.T.C.H. (Phobos, Nerissa, Cedric and others). But they had one. Something standing at the head of Blight on one of the relatively peaceful planets. They spent a lot more time fighting it than they should have.
The Blight Fighters have a headquarters from which they receive orders. Connected not only with their planet, but also with others. Another detail is that since all worlds are more or less magical, they are fully aware of the existence of other worlds, thereby maintaining communication among themselves. In this universe, there are full-fledged paths between worlds that can be accessed through the appropriate portal.
Of course, Starlinked wasn't the only team fighting black matter. They were just the most effective (because of the blessing of the Crystal Star) And so it was decided to send them on this mission. During the battle, communication with the squad was cut off, and the portal was destroyed. The team was left alone with the henchmen of Blight and their mighty leader.
And of course, everything worked out (I would not be crucified now if it were the other way around) and the team got several new abilities in its arsenal. One of these is teleportation - Ellie is able to communicate with starways by the power of a Star and get into any world that needs their help, as well as to her home planet (that's how they returned home) This battle hit the dark forces hard, as a result of which the black curtain got a few holes in it, opening the way to an alternate universe...
Soul and Heart Reunite
A little energy from the universe of the soul began to penetrate into another universe, colliding and connecting with other worlds. The energy of Kandrakar also began to seep into these holes and connect with the worlds of the Soul universe in the same way. Council notices this and starts an investigation. Everything leads to the fact that the "limits of the universe" turn out to be not limits at all, but dark matter, from which, for some reason, the universe of Kandrakar did not suffer at all (matter was determined to destroy the soul of the creature first, since subconsciously it considered it more vulnerable than the universe of the Heart) But now that the Blight began to dissipate, the worlds nearby it were in danger, as matter followed the seeping Soul energy to alternative worlds. So the guards are needed again. The Oracle calls the girls to him with a request to check the distant dimensions to make sure that they are not in danger. He also warns them that they may encounter an enemy of unprecedented strength, so he advises them to be very careful.
On the other side, a report suddenly arrives about a new world that wasn't on the map before. The scouts found it very strange that this planet is far enough away from all the others, and do not know what might be lurking there, so they ask an elite squad of Fighters to investigate it. Ellie and her squad are very excited about this news, while Tony suspects something is wrong. The scouts reported that they did not find any signs of Blight's presence on the planet, but the same thing happened on the planet where the team fought last time, against an enemy comparable to God in strength, so he decides to go with them, if not to help in battle, so to help with advice if communication breaks down again.
Everything leads to the fact that the two teams are meeting. They exchange puzzled glances, especially Will, who, in fact, met her father on a God-forsaken planet, the devil knows how far from their center of the galaxy. And something strange is happening. The Crystal Star and the Heart of Kandrakar fly out towards each other. They combine into one whole, as happened with the Heart and Seal of Phobos, but this time they form a single artifact. There is a flash of light, which draws both teams and Tony into it. After that, there is only an empty place on this planet.
What the hell just happened?
After the union of the soul and heart, their energies began to quickly connect with each other, combining similar worlds from their universes into one whole. The two universes need to unite, and for this you need to shake the remaining matter, which will go into their orbit, and hopefully stay there. The process of reuniting the universes should take a lot of time, just as the guardians of the Heart are clearly not ready to protect the worlds from dark matter - simple possession of the elements will clearly not be enough. So the two artifacts decided that it would be a good idea to throw teenagers and one (not quite stable) adult teacher on a rather dangerous planet, so that they could learn everything there by trial and error. How ironic.
Is Tony unstable? Yes, because there should be only one Tony in this universe. So the heart and soul just combined the two Tonys into one. It gave him back the missing hand, but it also gave him memories from his other life, where he had everything Tony (from the universe of the soul) wanted, but missed it out of his own stupidity/ignorance. So yes, the heroes and their bipolar teacher embark on a survival adventure stuck on a cursed planet.
"But why are they stuck?" You will ask. "Will can open a portal, and Ellie has this teleportation thing." But it just doesn't work anymore. The girls could open portals to the world of Kandrakar and to any one they had ever been to. But they still had to fly to the citadel first to figure out where to open a portal to a new world for them. Elizabeth has a slightly different, but similar story. Their universe has no center, but most worlds are connected by a portal network, and by connecting to this network with the energy of a Crystal Star, she can teleport herself and a small group of people where she and the Star have been.
But. Since the universe is now in utter chaos at the reunion, all this information contained in the artifacts is simply no longer relevant. The portal system in shambles, the council of Kandrakar is trying to minimize possible damage, and because of the two raging energies, they are not able to figure out where their guardians may be, not to mention the fact that they have to eliminate various paradoxes arising from the merging of worlds.
And that's how it ends...
Not because I just haven't thought through the further outcome of events, but simply because it varies very much from this point. As a result, the teams either split into two people (one fairy and one fighter) and travel to find the others. Either everyone stays together, but they are separated by some force or event, after which they need to overcome difficulties to reunite. They start randomly jumping around different worlds in search of their own, using the combined power of both artifacts.
The Heart and Soul were supposed to become one artifact, but after the reunion they separated again, since their keepers still needed them. This led to an involuntary fusion of the souls of Ellie and Will, as a result of which they began to read each other's thoughts and feel what the other feels. Also much later, when Tony has more or less come to his senses, he tells them that they are basically sisters.
In fact, this is what I was looking for. Pure sisterly friendship, adventures, experiences. All this mess was created just so that Will would have a sister with her own powers. Although it would be easier to just make Ellie exist initially, and make the Crystal Star an ordinary artifact from some forgotten planet, which Will took for an ordinary accessory and decided to bring home to herself.
But no, we have what we have, in addition with the team and a new way to use elemental magic. I always thought that a w.i.t.c.h should learn to use their powers more creatively, like in ATLA, otherwise sooner or later there will be an enemy who will not be enough to just pour a large volume of water on or demolish with a stream of air.
So... Now there are a lot of things that can be thought up for a story. I've been running a big series in my mind with different situations for a long time. However, I can't draw, and I don't have the energy or time to write a book out of it. I leave it to the fans to be torn apart, you can give criticism, I don't mind.
I apologize again for this outline of the text, if you really finished reading, leave "S&H unite" in the comments

Tagged by @persephone-sighed for 9 songs I've been playing on repeat this past month/year/all my life 🤭😉 Ok maybe not that long...maybe? 😏 Thank you for the tag! ❤ sincerely.
Onto the abridged list of music staples. I did a separate post because, let's face it, these are getting way too looooooooong. Without further ado:
1. There are a few Fiona Apple songs that consistently/constantly resonate, in some way...Criminal, Paperbag...but this one is always the favorite. I think it's the fact that the drums make me feel closer to my dearly departed beatnik uncle.
2. The favorite workout song, keeps great time
youtube
3. "You can't shame me, la dee da, Give or take me, how bizarre. Keep your pretty promise to yourself."
4. OK 3, 2, 1, let's jam... an obsession
youtube
5. The Dandy Warhols were everything at one point this one just...it's a favorite memory, too.
6. And doesn't it make you feel better....? Yes, yes it does.
youtube
7. "Don't look down cause it's far to fall"
8. A favorite, resonates deeply.
youtube
9. Since I was a baby, apparently, I have loved this and it still gets turned up each and every time.
🤘✌

Yeahhhhh the Delays didn't make me feel good...but at least it will be here in February 😁
Oh I saw your Instagram story post and looked up and boom you were there in the crowds/lines. Ahhhhhh that's why you had that face 🤣
Listen I didn't know ANYTHING when it comes to repairing stuff for Cosplayers 😅 I just helped as best I could at the table.
*grabs my whiskey* Yeahhhhhh there was a lot of behind the scenes drama that shouldn't have happened in the first place for that Cosplay repair table. It's a looooooooong story that is really hard and complicated to explain in text 😅
Let's just say I'm not associated with them because it was that bad.
I just hope the volume is good-- I'm on and off about waiting until it's over to watch it as a whole...
And I was just CHILLIN. But bruh, it was so bad that day I went back to the hotel room early and stayed in bed for the rest of the night. :*( I would've been happy to meet you tho! And if you had the unfortunate experience of being close to me in the RT store line, you'd have heard me discussing Fire Emblem for too long LMAO
Still, the cosplay repair table SAVES. Idunno what happened with it, but I'm glad you're out, my dude. May your cons be peaceful...
