I was talking to a friend of mine on another site and we both came to the realization that from pretty much the second Loona approaches him on the beach in Spring Broken....Vortex completely ignores the fact that he's supposed to be working? He's supposed to be guarding Verosika, making sure no fans get too close to her while she's performing - hell, the whole reason Loona was able to be alone with him (before Blitzo decided to literally get between them) was because he was dragging away a fan that tried getting too close after knocking them out.

But pretty much from the second Loona comes over to start talking to him, to when both groups are leaving, Tex seems to completely forget about his job. Guy knows where his priorities lie, and talking to a cute girl definitely beats out doing his actual job. Especially when, given how protective Blitzo clearly is, Tex probably knows that despite them working in the same building for the next week, this probably is going to be his best chance to actually talk to Loona more or less uninterrupted until maybe she comes to one of Bee's parties, and he has no way of knowing when that'll be.

TV Tropes calling Loona's crush on Vortex unrequited when he never really gives any indication that the feelings aren't mutual? Yeah, he mentions his girlfriend/Bee but being poly is a thing in general and I could see it being even more common in Hell. And he brings Bee up in a way that really doesn't come across like he's trying to let her down gently - it feels more like him trying to subtly see if she'd be into a poly thing too.

Honestly, yeah. He mentions Bee and offers to invite her to a party in the same breath, and honestly, I don't think anything, in visuals or dialogues, says whether or not he likes her back. So it does feel a bit presumptious of TV Tropes to just assume he doesn't. But hey, they might just not feel that way, I guess.

All because he has a girlfriend?? So what!! U know what fiction is right! I mean we can imagine that he might break up with his gf and end up with Loona if we want! Also I don't think anyone has ever cared about the fact that a character was married or not, since everybody ships what they want

Even Stolas is married but everyone ships him with Blitz, and nobody made such a fuss about it

I just realized that Blitzo doesn't reveal he adopted Loona until a bit into the argument that starts because he interrupted her and Vortex talking?

Meaning from Vortex's perspective, he's just talking to this kind of awkward but cute girl...and her boss comes out of nowhere to accuse him of planning on sleeping with her and giving her a disease or something?

I know I'm biased because I've shipped them even before meeting Bee and discovering my main ship for the fandom, but I swear whenever I watch Loona and Vortex in the first parts of "Queen Bee", it gives off serious "date" vibes. Especially with some of the moments during the song, where he gives her these looks that I swear come across as very flirtatious.

And the fact that the episode seems to confirm that Vortex is pretty observant doesn't help my view on the situation at all. Because I'd seen some people debate whether Vortex could tell Loona had a thing for him or not....But considering how very obvious she was, I feel like it's very likely he is very much aware of how she feels about him. So my polyship loving self sees him giving these looks towards Loona during the song, and his expression as he watches Loona and Bee interact for the first time, and can't help but imagine the guy figured he'd have good use for both his hands by the end of the night.

I've seen two possible names for the Loona x Vortex x Bee poly ship and I love both, so I'm curious to see which one is more popular.

I love how, upon meeting Bee, so many people who already shipped Loona and Tex were just like...."So all three of them are just going to hook up and be a poly relationship, right?"

The change is both Loona and Vortex's expressions when Blitzo interrupts them talking is honestly perfect to me. Sure, the conversation was a little awkward from Loona's end - understandably so, considering she's both lacking in socialization skills in general and talking to a guy she's got a major crush on - but it's clear they were both enjoying spending time with each other.

And then were both obvious upset at being interrupted, though Loona obviously shows it more. I don't actually think Vortex was less upset at Blitzo stepping between them, but between the two, he's definitely the one who cares more about being "professional". And he only knows Blitzo is Loona's boss at this point, not her father, so I took Vortex's change in attitude as more him just being like "Okay, gotta be professional now. Can talk with the girl later." But even then, he does step out of that a little when he feels Blitzo is crossing a line in trying to control Loona, trying to tell him to calm down when she basically says she was taking a break.

Basically, no one can convince me that this moment didn't at least Vortex sure he wanted to get get to know Loona better. And likely made him realize Bee would definitely want to meet her.

I only just realized that since Verosika still worked at the IMP building, on the same floor, for a week, Loona and Vortex likely did spend some time during that week hanging out together. And I might need to write a little story about that.

I know it was likely done for pragmatic reasons, but the complete lack of seeing Loona and Vortex reacting to the fish monster attack and then them both seeming to be acting like nothing happened when we do see them again, really makes me laugh a little. Like, guess those two were really enjoying each other's company while they were offscreen....

Usually with the "alternative interpretation" examples given on certain TV Tropes pages, I can see how any of the options could be seen as what was actually happening. But there are some cases where I feel like the actual reason for why a character does something is pretty obvious?

For example, in "Spring Broken", the page says that there's potentially several reasons why Loona wanted to come along on that particular mission. The reasons range from her wanting to help Blitzo, to wanting to just enjoy herself at spring break, to being a fan of Verosika and wanting to potentially see her perform.

....But I feel like the episode itself makes it pretty clear that the main reason she wanted to come along, was because she was hoping to see Vortex. I mean, Loona is smart enough to probably have been able to figure that, if Verosika was going to be going to Earth, Vortex, being her bodyguard, was almost definitely going to be there as well. And while Loona does take her job of leading humans into traps seriously at first, as soon as she sees Vortex is there, and she has a moment where Blitzo is distracted, she is completely focused on him. She doesn't even make any attempt to join in the stuff going on around her, and just gets annoyed when one of the members of Verosika's crew makes a pass at her, presumably in major part because it held her up from what she actually wanted to do.

How Blitzo introduces Vortex to Stolas in an upcoming fic

"Oh, him? This is the literal son of a bitch that knocked up my baby and then couldn't even be bothered to actually be around when they were born."

I don't know if there just isn't much/any content on this site for the ship between Loona and Vortex (and Bee, since I love the idea of them both together and with her), or if I'm just not able to find anything because either nobody tags it, or I just have no idea what the tags are?

Considering Blitzo's reaction to Loona just talking to Vortex was "Conversation leads to HPV", I can only imagine how he'd be when he found out they were actually dating. Probably threaten that, "If she sees you naked, I cut it off" or something.

x) He might say something like that. Probably does the shovel talk and everything, with a bunch on guns laid out on the table for show.

It's mostly just talk though, Blitz would not hurt someone if it would make Loona sad.

Better pray he doesn't find out about the relationship after a fight XD

Yeah, TV Tropes is a site that anyone with an account can edit, and while they are usually good at making sure to keep subjective stuff in the right pages, sometimes there are slips. 

As someone who loves the “exact words” trope, part of me can’t help but notice the fact that, despite very heavy implications that he does like Loona as at least a friend (just the general way he acts towards her when they’re talking, plus seeming to basically tell her to call him “Tex” which apparently is what his friends - and Bee - call him), when he invites her to the party, he just says, “Let’s get you some friends” not “Let’s get you some other/more friends, seeming to leave himself off despite the evidence that he does seem to like her at least as a friend?
