Hi! I like the discussion with your prev anon and I agree with you that liking louis and his music doesn't necessarily 'hate' 1D.

I found Louis through Harry - Larry - 1D (specifically in that order) and their performance of Night Changes on Norton Graham show was when I was caught on with Louis. And that one part of his in Night Changes really change my life haha.

That was around the time FITF made it to UK no.1 and I never look back since then. I still like to listen to 1D songs (and almost other boybands song tbh, i'm a sucker for boybands). But not their solo acts, maybe their musics are not really to my liking. They clearly have their own style and I like Louis' the most.

But yes, as for Louis, since he now has 2 full albums, I don't mind if he dropped 1D for his own songs.

That is quite a pipeline - How long did that take to go through?

Louis really does have a distinctive voice, unique taste and produces music that really connects to people. Walls was my baby for so long, I almost couldn't imagine what came next - but FITF is an excellent and eclectic example of where Louis wants to go on his musical journey.

I think he'll keep the One Direction songs for this tour, the set list seems pretty structured. Next tour with three albums (fingers crossed) he'll have more than enough to drop those covers. But.. as with all things, I do wonder how much of the fanbase Louis/Louis' team perceives and if there is some sort of pressure or demand for songs over a decade old, he might continue to sing them. We'll see.
