“Had a thing,” Casworon’s pleasant smile doesn’t falter, but there’s a strain to his voice like twine drawn too tightly, about to snap. “Lochlan is old news, I’m not waiting for him to crawl back to me.” 

He waves a hand dismissively as if he can bat his own angry words from the air. 

“I found the ungrateful little weed when he was still a dreamer, trying in vain to fit in among courtiers. He had some foolish notion that he could just fight his way into prominence,” an amused chuckle escapes him, followed by a scowl that twists his mouth — the momentary fondness leaving a sour taste. 

Casworon stands and begins to stalk the room, going from one end to the other in quick agitated strides. “I saw his potential, I took him in, I gave him shelter, I showered him in affection, I made him what he is — what he so desperately wanted to be!”

He stops mid-stride, his gaze unfocused, “And in thanks, he betrayed me at the first opportunity that presented itself. I suppose you don’t grow a bramble and complain when it pricks you.”

Character Intro: Lochlan

| former warden/inquest experiment/ werewolf?

Lochlan was once a sylvari warden who would patrol the woods alone at night, she loved the outdoors and spent as much time outside as she could… which led into an accidental run in with some inquest agents. These inquest were on a mission from Krexxa to grab sylvari for her horrific experiments, and Lochlan was kidnapped in the night and taken to her lab.

Once there, Krexxa had implants put into her back and modified her to take on a monstrous half beast half sylvari form at the push of a button. She forced Lochlan to serve her as her personal attack dog, and would perform cruel experiments on her for the few years that she was there. When Keppu caused a facility break out, most of the experiments tried to escape, and Lochlan used the opportunity to destroy the device that controlled her transformation and fled.

Believing that she was finally free of her monstrous form, Lochlan tried to return to normal life but quickly found that Krexxa’s device controlled the transformation, but Lochlan’s implants were what caused it. Without the device her implants would force her to transform every so often, if she didn’t the consequences involved serious pain and possibly death. If she tried to tear the implants out it also would have killed her. Forced to become a terrifying beast, whenever she transformed Lochlan would hide in the woods until she could return to her normal sylvari form, and life continued for her like that for a long time.

-Appearance-

Lochlan’s humanoid form has changed since first being captured by the inquest. Krexxa harnessed the sylvari’s growth and regeneration abilities to give Lochlan a second form, but some of her wolf traits bled over into her sylvari form. Her ears became like a wolf’s and she grew a leafy tail, as well as claws on her hands and teeth and some very sharp fangs. Her ears and tail are an easy way to tell her emotions, they especially give away her excitement! She has a tall and lanky build, with a thin dorito chest frame. She has four inquest implants in her back that cause back pain, and she can often be seen with her cane in hand.

Her werewolf form is similar in build but her limbs grow longer and her hands and feet become larger and more like an animal’s. Her head grows into a snout that resembles a wolf’s with many sharp teeth and pointy leaf ears. She has a small leafy ruffle around her chest and neck and generally becomes more “fluffy” with leaves. She looks very awkward when standing upright in this form and prefers to run on all fours, she can talk but chooses not to, her voice is very gargled and raspy and it’s both off putting and uncomfortable for her.

-Personality-

Lochlan is loud and proud, she delights in life and has a certain air of confidence and swagger in the way she carries herself, although she isn’t just talk, Lochlan is a decent fighter and very quick. She loves the outdoors and enjoys being out in nature, and can often be found walking in the woods. She’s easily excited and enthusiastic, and doesn’t get angry often. She loves bragging about the people she loves, including her amazing girlfriend Sluaigh (who belongs to @mystery-salad , go check out its amazing weremordrem girlie!!!).

Post inquest lab she is very ashamed and embarrassed of her monstrous traits and form and tries to hide them, but often can’t. Over time and with lots of love from Sluaigh she learns to love herself for who she is, and although she has to take life a little slower for her own sake she still is able to enjoy herself.
