Who knew ties could look this good on us girls! This photograph from the 1970’s celebrates a great look - sharp, edgy, slick fashion that commands attention...capturing a phenomenal moment in fashion history. Where women all over became confident in wearing masculine looks and are still ROCKING now! Love…Light…Liberty x

The everincredible Bianca Rose shares some of her thoughts about being Living in Light’s Creative Director…developing as a MUA and how being “the” Bianca behind the signature style has panned out for her.
Hi Bianca!
Describe your personal style? My personal style I think is fairly casual. I love a pair of skinnies with a collared shirt, white Converse, or a black ankle boot (I LOVE a black ankle boot- I had to stop at 5 pairs...sometimes you really can have too much of a good thing)! I like to jazz up a look with a piece of statement jewellery or a bold lip colour.
What does the term creativity mean to you? Creativity is like oxygen to me. If I'm not being creative in some way, then I feel as though I'm withering away! I love to create things for myself and other people, the outlet isn't really as important as flexing that muscle. I used to use my creativity solely for making music, but I found that that wasn't enough, so I'm learning to embrace as many creative outlets and challenges as I can; Be it creating a beautiful website, writing a blog entry, curating an online shop, or painting a face.
What do you like most about being involved with Living on Light? I love the freedom to create. Bobbi, the founder of LIL, is one of my closest friends, so there is an ease and a freedom which makes creating for the brand so much fun! This friendship also enables us to be really honest and open with our ideas, which I think makes for a more successful end product.
What's your favourite Living in Light piece? Hmm that's difficult, but I would say the classic Bianca pant is my fave as it's such a wearable piece, and you feel as comfortable in them as you would wearing jogging bottoms, but they obviously look 1000 times better. I'm looking forward to getting a pair of the new high waisted version from the new collection.
What inspires you? Everything really. It's hard to pin point specifics, but beautiful art, or lyrics are really inspirational. A creative challenge inspires me to conquer it!

Today Living in Light would like to introduce to you one of ourwell-respected clients and wonderful supporters, Nao. As a product of the UK musicscene, this lovely lady represents a new generation of talent that is emergingfrom London.
Uploading her first track ‘So Good’ in the summer of 2004, Nao’s music has taken on a life of it’s own. She’s picked up praise from the worlds most influential publications and gained recommendation from the likes of Disclosure, Little Dragon and Jacques.
Yet, it doesn’t stop there, following the success of ‘So Good’ Nao has gone on to play two sold out shows in London to over 600 people and released her debut EP, which grew to the top 10 iTunes position on the ITunes Electronic chart in both the UK and US.
As Nao joins us to chat straight from her UK/ European tour, it’s clear that her mark in the music industry is gorgeously flowing in the direction of her dreams. Playing to over 250k people, she has just signed a publishing deal with Psychotic Reaction and appeared on Annie Mac’s acclaimed presents series.
However lucky for us all her exciting success doesn’t stop this artistic female from jumping straight into an interview with Living in Light….
Hi Nao first of all we just want to congratulate you on your recent tour, and acknowledge just how stunning you looked wearing the tropical strapped jumpsuits. What is it that attracted you to our pieces and the brand?
I love colours and jumpsuits and when I saw Living in Light's work I was instantly attracted to it. The vibrancy suited the mood of my music and also my personality. I had lots of great comments whilst on tour across Europe. I look forward to working more with Living in Light.
Can you tell us a little more about your personal style and how it’s developed being on stage as a performer?
I love meeting new people and conversing, I think it’s extremely important to grow each day and so I love learning, reading and listening. My personal style is quite colourful, I’m not amazing with keeping up with fashion; I just like what I like. Jumpsuits and boiler suits have been quite a fixture in my wardrobe for a couple of years.
Do you have any advice that you give to anyone wanting to step out as an independent artist?
A lot of people hold themselves back as Artist because they're looking for their own sound or the perfect sound. But what I have learnt is that there is no such thing as the perfect sound. Your music will constantly evolve other the years. Something you love today you may hate tomorrow, it can be an emotional journey but I would say have the courage to put your music out. Out of the entire well-established artist I’ve met they've never been 100% satisfied with their music/video's/artwork/album and these are people who have had no 1's. Just be courageous and share your music with the world.
We just LOVE your track Good Girl; it’s an incredible infectious sound. How would you best describe your music?
I would never want to limit myself to one sound or genre because as I said before as artist our music is always evolving but if someone else was to place my music I guess they would say Alternative RnB.
And finally if you had one word of wisdom/ encouragement for the world what would it be?
Become the change you want to see.
Wonderful, wise words, Nao. We thank you.
Nao’s next headline show will be at The Oslo in Hackney, May 6th.
