One of my favorite Bay Area wines gifted to me by my sister-in-battle, @maidnmariam . Most people only think about Napa when they are considering wine tasting and vineyards. Gilroy and Livermore are hidden gems. Wente is always a win! ✌🏾 #peace 🖤 #love 🙌🏾 #goodvibes 🍷 #wine #vino #cabernet #bayarea #livermore @wente (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CphPQG8Oc_N/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I was really getting back into reading again as I do every year but kind of hit a point where all of the fantasy and sci-fi I was reading started to feel like too much of the same. It was pretty much all I was reading, I was barely even reading comics or manga which I usually read. And so I took a break and started reading more manga again but I also took on one of those reading challenges that prompt you to read certain genres or topics. And wow I've discovered that I really like memoirs. Like I read How to Ru(i)n a Record Label by Larry Livermore and since I love punk music of course I got hooked. So I didn't think that much of it. But now I'm reading The Watergate Girl by Jill Wine-Banks a memoir about the only female prosecutor on the Watergate trial and I am still hooked. It's so interesting and such a breath of fresh air from running into the same genre tropes over and over since it's of course, real life. If you've never read a memoir before I definitely recommend it. It's neat getting a peak into someone elses life.

Day 3
With Teo playing in Livermore and traffic stating a 2hr drive we decided to part ways and double duty.
A late hamburger lunch after lengthy joint shopping at Trader Joe’s and Wholefoods then Dea had to race off with Teo in the Porsche.
I took Nanny and Gerry down to China Camp and then Andy’s for a lovely summer evening.
Everyone was back home together by 10pm enjoying a little wine, cheese and dessert.
Teo had a great game for the Marin UCL team coming off to a standing ovation in the second half when he was gassed and everyone was in high spirits to end the night.

Just add water! With all the drought over the previous years, it's good to know that the rains can refresh and green up the hills. While in Livermore last year for a business trip I was blessed to see all the mustard flowers blooming across the green fields. Being part of the California wine country, I also liked the way the vineyards played into the landscape giving me these swatches of color. I had a beautiful and peaceful time as I enjoyed the outdoors, the sunshine, the breeze, the flowers, and taking pictures. . Jan '22 . I show all my pics here, or you can follow JUST my nature pics at @DSK.Views.Nature. . Not a Nodder
Black and ripe, GOBS of thick fruit and spicy structure flowing off it. A beautiful Cabernet lush and round in the nose but climbing in sharp and restrained on the palate. Dense briar coats firm cherry and pomegranate until washed away by blockbuster tannin. Livermore Valley and Happy Canyon–at opposite ends of the Central Coast–make the best cabs of the region, though the northern contribution…
