I gotta stop doing these life updates and just get on with it, but nevertheless...
Where do I even start?
I know I promised I would get back to 'crash through the surface' and I swear I will, I feel my creative muse has resurfaced but through a different fandom this time...
Twisters/Glen Powell/Tyler & Kate
I've seen this movie 3 times in the theater and once at a Drive-In but that was kind of a hot mess. Also, Glen Powell-- why, wtf, this man should be illegal in this movie. I live in TN but never got the whole cowboy thing until I saw him in this movie. (Men like that don't really exist here, btw)
I honestly have not loved another fictional couple this much since Gendrya. It's been a minute since I had an unhealthy obsession with something and I am living for it. It has got my love for reading fanfics back to the forefront of my mind again and I feel like I can finally pick back up where I left CTTS off just to get it and Gendrya finished for good. (Gendrya is still the main inspiration behind Beautiful Dangerous and the screenplay I am going to write, so they'll always be in my <3)
Anyway, a lot has been going on this year. A year ago around this time I found out about Lucy's cancer and I can't believe she's been gone for this long. Still miss her everyday. My brother is getting married in October and I'm serving as a bridesmaid, so that should make for a fun story.
But for the moment, I have A LOT going on in August including three out of state trips:
Poll Worker for tomorrow's Election
Nimesh Patel's show at Zanies
5 Days in Florida for my 32nd Birthday
Dermot Kennedy show at Blue Bird Cafe (tickets on sale Friday, wish me luck)
Train & REO Speedwagon Concert
Team Member for Creation Con Indianapolis, Indiana
Then an end of the month Bachelorette trip in Washington D.C.
In the in between days of all of these events, I plan to work on the next chapter of Crash Through The Surface and get that out sometime soon after finishing as well as work on some brewing fanfic ideas for Tyler & Kate in the growing Twisters fandom.
Seriously, go see this movie if you haven't yet.
I already have so many fics to start reading on Ao3 for Tyler and Kate, who needs a ship name BTW. Tate? Kyler? Wrangler Tamer?
Anyways, that's a little bit of where I am right now.
I'm trying to spend less time working on fan art and fics at work due to a new IT system that seems to know everything I download (pics for mood boards being the main) and it's honestly making me very self-conscious so after work is where I'll be letting my creative bitch reign supreme.
I have ideas for Twisters and an outline already for CTTS but any fresh ideas and suggestions are always welcome.
Twisters fandom, if you want a feel of what I love creating the most, search the #gendrya tag on my blog.
Love you all.

It Helps Me Clear My Head
VIDEO: Teen | Canonical Violence feat. The Christian Dance Song by Dog Fashion Disco
youtube
Billy/Steve | General | <500 words
Originally this was only going to be the video, but this wasn't even the first idea for the video I had, SO--this comes with a one-shot that's more in line with my original idea inspired by the films Test and Five Dances (both 2013 and highly recommended). The video acts as a prelude. Enjoy!
Made for @billyhargrovebingo!

Steve had been trying to get his attention for a week. Not the snarky one-offs in gym class, but Billy’s real, genuine attention because he had real, genuine things to say and wanted Billy to hear. But he just wouldn’t let up. He told Steve to piss off and leave him alone, that they had nothing to talk about, that nothing happened, that Steve didn’t see shit. And, really, his denial only confirmed what they both already knew to be true: Billy was a dancer, and Steve had seen him perform.
It was a snowy December Saturday night on the far west end of Indianapolis, and his parents were given tickets to a show that their friends couldn't make it to. A little off-Broadway dance performance; nothing to dress up for. Steve didn't really want to go, but he agreed anyway because he had nothing else to do, and time with his parents wasn't all bad. It was nice to go out once in a while, and he was open to the possibility that he'd change his mind about not liking it. That happened with movies sometimes.
The theater wasn't very crowded when they arrived, but forty people turned into three-hundred, and then the show began. Lights dimmed. A live three-instrument band played the score as a woman trotted on stage to start the show.
Some time later, maybe ten minutes, came a man, and another man, but one had an unmistakable face. A body that Steve knew anywhere because he'd seen it up close, bare and clothed, hard and soft, but never like this.
It was Billy.
Muscles taut and emphasized in sharp blue lighting, he moved with practiced intent and the discipline of a skilled dancer. Seeing the fervent passion in his eyes and every step made Steve's heart rattle so hard that it kept going day after day, rejection after rejection. "Don't make me punch you again, Harrington," and, "What don't you understand about, 'Get the fuck away from me,'? We don't have shit to talk about."
After a week, Steve almost gave up. Almost. But he wasn't about to let Billy Hargrove slip through the cracks, not when he didn't understand.
So Steve asked to use the bathroom in class one day so he would have empty hallways to walk through down to his and Billy's locker wall. With no one around, he slipped a note through the vent.
Please. You were beautiful up there.
He didn't expect much out of it, but Billy was full of surprises.
The next day he was waiting by the Bimmer after school, clumsily trying to light a cigarette with ice-cold hands. He said, "I changed my mind. We can talk."
Steve smiled and helped him with the light--and they talked.

Black Wall Street USA
Sheila Guyse was an actress, and singer during the 1940s and 1950s. She was born Etta Drucille Guyse, on July 14, 1925, in Forest, Mississippi. Her parents, Wilbert Vincent Guyse and Ethel Williams, separated and divorced shortly after she was born. Guyse was raised by her paternal grandparents, Charity and Fred Guyse, and attended the Scott County Vocational School in Mississippi where she developed an interest in singing. In 1945, Guyse moved to New York to pursue her dreams, and stayed with her father and stepmother in Manhattan.
Guyse got her first job at a dime store in 125th street, across the street from the Apollo Theater, She wanted a $25 dress, so she entered her first talent show, at the Apollo, and won first place, and $25. She then began performing in amateur shows, and was cast as the female lead in a Broadway production of “Memphis Bound” (1945), opposite Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. She made her nightclub debut at Club Zombie in Detroit, where she caught the eye of Shelby Irving Miller, a druggist clerk and tailor. The two married on March 18, 1946, in Hamilton, Indiana, and moved to Indianapolis.
After the marriage Guyse continued her acting career and had a role in Boy! What A Girl! (1947), Sepia Cinderella (1947), and Miracle in Harlem (1948) all independent all-black films. Miller and Guyse had a daughter, Sheila Crystal Miller but divorced after just two years. In 1949, she starred in the Broadway production “Lost in The Stars,” and in 1950, Guyse starred in the film, Harlem Follies of 1949, and was featured on the covers and pages of several publications including Ebony, Jet, Our World, and Hue magazines.
While working on the Broadway production of Finian’s Rainbow, Guyse met dancer Kenneth Davis, and the two married. The couple lived in the Bronx, New York, and were featured on the cover of the February 1952 Jet magazine, followed with an article entitled “Negro Women with White Husbands.” Throughout her career, Guyse was troubled with a series of medical issues that caused lapses of time of employment. In 1953, Guyse was diagnosed with stomach ulcers, and was once found by her daughter, collapsed on a bedroom floor, bleeding from the mouth. She had surgery in the mid 1950s, but continued to have health issues. She divorced Davis in 1954.
Guyse had a natural talent, and had been compared to stars like Dorothy Dandridge and Lena Horne, due to her sultry voice and slender figure. She starred in the 1957 television adaptation of the play, Green Pastures, and was nominated for an Emmy for her role. She released her only album, This Is Sheila, in 1958, and later that year she married sanitation worker Joseph Jackson.
After retiring from show business in 1959, Guyse had two children with Jackson, Deidre Jean and Michael, and the couple moved to Mississippi in the 1980s, and then to Hawaii in 2007. They remained married until Jackson’s death in 2012. Guyse died at the age of 88, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease on December 28, 2014, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and her ashes were scattered across Waikiki Beach.

Will & Harper Review: A Heartfelt Journey at Nashville Film Fest
Tumblr media
sThe Josh Greenbaum documentary Will & Harper is showing at select theaters now. The film will stream on Netflix beginning  September 27th. Will & Harper screened at the 2024 Nashville Film Festival. The movie originally premiered at the 40th Sundance Film Festival in January 2024.  The 114-minute documentary depicts Will Ferrell’s 17-day cross-country trip with his close friend of 30 years, Harper Steele. Harper has just come out as a transgender female. Over 250 hours of film was shot! And then cut to a  2-hour look at being transgender in America in 2024. Harper was born Andrew Steele in Iowa City, Iowa, one of five children of University of Iowa professors. Harper was the head writer at “Saturday Night Live” and started the same week that Ferrell in 1995. THE GOOD The best thing about the unscripted 17-day trip from New York to Santa Monica, California was how authentic and genuine the emotional relationship between Ferrell and Steele appears to be. Both are reduced to tears, at times, and you will be, too. Nashville Film Festival viewers come away with the feeling that Will Ferrel in real life is very much like his character in “Elf” as one of the nicest guys you could know. As a stranger in an Oklahoma City bar tells him, “I like your support for your friends.  There’s not a lot of it out there now.”  Many have commented on how brave Harper is to have come out. There should also be praise for Will Ferrell (and friends) for being so supportive of Harper in MAGA America. The trailer for the film shows Ferrell reading from the e-mail he received from Steele. He learns that his old buddy will be undergoing transgender surgery and will now go by the name Harper. Ferrell realizing, somewhat belatedly, that he doesn't really know enough about the transgender community. He proposed a 17-day cross-country road trip in Steele’s vintage Jeep Wagoneer to re-acquaint the new old friends. The camera crew follows them discreetly during the trip. We learn the purpose of the documentary with the question “What are the new ground rules? How much has changed? How much is the same?” Steele has a reputation as someone who loves to take cross-country trips. Harper loves to stop at dive bars, diners, and other such places—all of which sound dicey for a transgender woman traveling solo in the United States in 2024.  Will would be able to run interference for his longtime friend as they criss-crossed America. The music (Nathan Halpern) is very good, including the idea of having Kirsten Wiig write a “theme song” for their trip (She sings it at film’s end), a recurring joke. The cinematography—including a stop at the Grand Canyon—is also wonderful.  Harper” is simply a real-life, honest serio-comic gem amidst a sea of boring drek. THE STOPS The pair set out from New York and made stops in Washington, D.C., Indianapolis, Iowa City, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Las Vegas and various other cities, most of them in “red” states. They were received well everywhere but Texas, where rude tweets follow the duo’s appearance at a steakhouse (Ferrell dressed as Sherlock Holmes and attempting to eat a 72-ounce steak). One Texas tweet that commented on the stop the pair had just made at Harper’s sister Eleanor’s house in Iowa City, called  Ferrell “a Satanic illuminati pedophile in Iowa.” But the general reception was the opposite, although one critic has asked the obvious question: is that  because a celebrity was running interference for Harper? (Others wondered about product placement, since Pringles and Duncan Donuts get a lot of conversational time,) IOWA CITY & SORROW Harper’s sister, Eleanor, when she received the same e-mail that Ferrell got, responded to him quickly, “Oh, good! I’ve always wanted a sister.” However, when the pair actually stops for the night at her home in my old college town, Ferrell asks her what her reaction was upon receiving the news. She admits that “I was totally surprised." The emotion she felt was “sorrow.” I felt that sorrow, too, when Harper shared journal snippets of the pain experienced for decades: “It wasn’t about body parts.  It was about how I am in my head. Fix me or kill me,” is one entry. “A lot of transitioning is learning to accept yourself” is another truth reveal. We learn this in Peoria, Illinois, in a meeting with a 65-year-old transgender woman on the road. “I dream of a world where I can lay my vulnerabilities out there for anyone…I knew something was weird in me growing up in Iowa, but it was impossible to think of doing anything about it.” In a world where gay men are being executed in some countries, you just want to repeat Rodney King’s mantra. May 1, 1992, King called a press conference in hopes of stopping the death and destruction after the L.A. riots. “I just want to say, you know, can we all get along?” CONCLUSION This is a gem of a documentary, which contains so much pain and yet provokes so much laughter.  One can’t help but smile when Ferrell, asked about his share of piloting the vintage automobile cross country responds, “I’m a narcoleptic and I’m not a good driver.” As the theme song for the documentary goes, “a friend is a friend is a friend till the end.” Catch this one when it streams on Netflix beginning September 27th.   Read the full article

Jack L. Cooper (September 18, 1888 - January 12, 1970) is acknowledged as the first African American radio broadcaster. He was born in Memphis and was the youngest of 10 children. He was raised in a poor, single-parent home, and, at the age of 10, quit school and moved to Cincinnati to work at a racetrack. He worked several odd jobs as a teen and was a successful boxer, winning the Ohio Negro welterweight title in the late 1910s. He began his entertainment career as a dancer and comic for the Theater Owners Booking Association. He met his first wife, Estelle Mansfield (Madam Lamar) Cooper, and they created the Cooper and Lamar Music Company
He wrote for Black newspapers in Memphis and Indianapolis. This led to the position of assistant theater editor at the influential Chicago Defender. He wrote a weekly column, “Coop’s Chatter,” and the newspaper selected him to help open up its DC office. The producer of a show on WCAP in DC hired him to help write and perform comedy skits based on Negro dialect.
He quit his job at WCAP and returned to Chicago. He developed an idea for a weekly variety show but had no luck finding a station that would take his show. Joseph Silverstein, owner of WSBC, agreed to air his The All-Negro Hour. It focused on live music and vaudeville comedy but incorporated the comedy serials, and humorous skits that followed the same characters each week.
He developed into a radio mogul. He popularized playing records on the radio. He built his radio studio and created a radio advertising agency that profited from the advertisements of Black and white entrepreneurs as well as local entertainers. He produced over 40 hours of radio each week on four radio stations. He produced religious shows such as Know Your Bible and public affairs shows in coordination with both the Chicago Defender and the Pittsburgh Courier.
He commanded the largest Black radio operation in America. His success laid the groundwork for generations of Black radio personalities. He was posthumously inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

name: Celine Ediz age & birthday: 29, December 7th, 1994 sign: Sagittarius gender & pronouns: Cis woman, She/Her sexuality: bisexual place of birth & time in New Bellevoux: Indianapolis, Indiana and since January 2024 neighborhood: Downtown occupation: Assistant to the Mayor faceclaim: Hande Erçel family: UTP Ediz (brother), Terik and Neslihan Ediz (parents)
CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY TWs: infidelity
PAST
Celine was born the youngest of the family. While her family wasn’t big, it was happy and she can fondly look back on her childhood with happy memories. Growing up in the heartlands, she was raised with the American Dream in mind that her parents wanted for her and her older brother. From a young age she showed a talent in art. Her parents encouraged her passion and enrolled her in extra art and drawing classes outside of school. Celine started to live a charmed life as she made her way through school. She became popular in school, starring in many productions by the theater department, making the honor roll, and even being crowned Prom Queen.
When it came time to leave for college, Celine got accepted to Purdue University and enrolled in the Interior Design program. She didn’t have the charmed, popular life she had enjoyed in high school, but Celine had been happy and made friends easily. She loved the program and knew that Interior Design was for her. When she graduated, Celine moved back to Indianapolis to join the growing and thriving interior design field in the city. The city was even host to a show highlighting just that on HGTV.
Celine had applied to work on the show, but eventually found work with a large firm in the city. She excelled and made a reputation for herself as a cheery and hardworking woman who was talented at her job. Everything changed when she caught the eye of her boss. It had happened slowly, she moved up and started to lead more projects than assisting on them. One night she was working late on a project of hers and she discovered he was the only other person in the office that night. He ordered takeout for them and broke out some alcohol he kept in his office. One thing led to another and Celine found herself sleeping with her boss that night. He was very charming, her head was fuzzy from the drinks and she melted like putty in his hands while he whispered assurances the whole time in her ear.
It hadn’t turned out to be a one time thing. Though Celine had tried to avoid him after that night and pretend it had never happened, he managed to get her alone to talk and to explain that he was in the middle of a divorce, that he was drawn to her and how his marriage was already over. Soon she started having an affair with her older and married boss. He was married and he told her how miserable he was in his marriage and how they wanted a divorce but she owned some of his company and he said threatened to never let him see their kids again if she didn't get what she wanted in the divorce. He told her that he was in the middle of a battle with their lawyers, but if his wife found out about Celine he’d lose custody of his kids and lose too much of the company. How his wife would use this affair before the papers were signed against him. Celine, like a fool, ate up everything he told her and believed it all. They continued their affair for two years, keeping it a secret she couldn't even tell her best friends. The whole time he kept her updated on the lengthy legal battle and telling her that soon they'd be together in public. How he'd start a proper relationship with her.
One night when she’d been with him, his wife showed up and caught them together. She’d been angry, blaming him and blaming Celine. The blow up had been horrible and she threatened to expose their affair, Celine was going to lose her job, and she'd lose her reputation, her life was going to completely change in the only place she had called home. But nothing was worse than the truth. There had been no talks of divorce. No evil wife threatening to never let him see his kids again and steal the company. No legal process. No divorce at all. As far as his wife knew they were happily married and Celine was the only one to blame for the homewrecking. She felt so stupid, so manipulated and lied to. But she hated herself. Like a fool she had believed him and she was as every bit horrible as her boss’ wife accused her of being.
PRESENT
Celine decided she’d leave Indianapolis behind. She didn’t want to live with the shame of being exposed in this position, and she’d felt used and lied to by her boss when his wife exposed his lies. So she packed up all her belongings, withdrew all her savings and left Indianapolis. She started in Chicago and drove down the United States until she found a town that she liked the vibe of.
Starting over was exactly what Celine needed. The Southern town was cheerful, small enough but big enough to become a nobody in and was beautiful. She quickly found a living situation with a roommate and took up a job as assistant to the mayor while she looked for an interior design job. Leaving so quickly and despised by her boss’ wife, she knew she’d have a hard time getting a good recommendation and they had been her only job since graduating from college. She was going to have to work on either applying for a job without letting anyone contact her old firm, or try to get his wife to not hinder a good review of her work at the company.

Are you an only child? >> I was raised like one, since my half-siblings were all decades older than me.
When was the last time you were sick? >> Monday-Tuesday. Fascinating how I've already been sick twice this year, when usually I am sick no times a year.
Do you like the color pink? >> I love the colour pink.
Do you take vitamins? >> I do not.
Where was your last kiss? .
Did/do you like high school? >> I enjoyed almost nothing about high school. What are you wearing? >> Black undershirt, Stitch lounge pants.
What health problems run in your family? .
How old will you be in 5 years? >> 41. Where did you last go on vacation? >> Vacations are not a thing for my household, we're in a low income bracket. The last time we went somewhere for a little trip, though, was in April -- Indianapolis, for the Dethklok show. Almost all of that was funded by Sparrow's mother, as usual.
Ever have an eating disorder? >> No.
What sports do you play? . What quality is most important in a person? .
Who’s your bf/gf? . What’s your favorite Ben and Jerry’s ice cream? . Do you usually wear your hair up or down? .
What TV show do you watch the most? >> I'm always watching several TV shows at a time, but I don't know how to quantify which one I am watching "the most".
Do you have a cat? >> I don’t. Sparrow does.
Do you like polka dots? >> I do not.
Have you ever been to Paris? >> I have not.
How do you feel lately? >> Hungry. Deeply, maddeningly hungry. One day I'll be able to actually eat food again...
Have you ever had surgery? >> I have not. Like any reality shows? >> I am not currently watching any, but there are some I enjoy.
What color do you dye your hair? .
What are you best at? .
What are you worst at? .
Do you like men in suits? >> I like some suits. As long as they're not American fit, basically -- I hate that boxy look.
What’s your favorite season? >> It's summer when I live in a colder region (like here) and spring otherwise, I suppose.
Did you drink last New Year’s? >> I did not. I don't do anything on New Year's anymore, I just go to bed like normal.
Did you like The Passion of the Christ? >> I have not seen it.
Which of the seven deadly sins fits you the best? >> Pride, I suppose. What do people compliment you the most on? .
Is your house two stories? >> It is. We occupy the ground floor.
Do you like Carlos Mencia? >> Haven't heard that name in ages. Am not interested in revisiting his work, though.
What word or phrase annoys you the most? >> For some reason I have a strong aversion to the word "wholesome". I just hate everything about it.
Did it rain today? >> It did not.
What did you eat for lunch? >> I didn't eat lunch because I can barely eat anything at all. I just had a bunch of crackers throughout the day. Oh, and an applesauce pouch and some unadorned toast, you know... for variety... *mimes shooting myself* Do you go hunting? >> I do not.
Have you ever wanted to be a ballerina? >> I have not.
Are you in a band? >> I am not. Where did you last have sex? >> Inworld.
Did you ever want to be an astronaut? >> I did want this, once. The only reason I stopped wanting it is because space travel in its current state is wildly inaccessible to me no matter which way you cut it.
Who was the last person to ‘give you butterflies?’ .
What book are you currently reading? >> A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton. <3
What’s the last party you attended? >> A child's birthday party. Do you wear a lot of black? >> I do. Not as much as we used to, but still a majority amount.
Do you have your own computer? >> I have two, in fact. It astounds me too. Have you ever had fake nails? >> I have, and I don't favour it. What’s the last movie you saw in theaters? >> Whoof... The Blackening, almost a whole ass year ago. I'm really hoping to get to see Furiosa, because this streak has got to end.
What movie do you want to see? >> Furiosa.
Are you trick or treating this year? >> I have never done this.
What month were you born in? >> May.
Whats your birthstone? >> Emerald. I think.
Do you like where you live? >> Not especially. If I think about where I live for too long I start to feel like I'm falling into an abyss.
Where do you work? >> I don’t. If you could kill someone, how would you do it? >> I'm inclined towards intimate, visceral methods. Stabbing is so intensely euphemistic that I think that's probably the method I'd favour most. But there are some really inventive ways to kill people, I wouldn't want to limit myself.
Are women complicated? >> Everyone's complicated, bitch, let's get you some fruit.
Do you put the lid back on the toothpaste? >> I do. I didn't even realise anyone doesn't. How long have you known your best friend? .
What’s something people criticize you the most for? .
Do you get along better with your mom or dad? . Do you read classic literature? >> I'm sure some of the books I've enjoyed could be considered "classics".
Could you be a hermit? >> I don't think so. The way society and the economy is structured constantly makes me feel like I don't have a place in it and that I should live apart from it, sure, but unfortunately I would die if I had to live completely on my own.
Are you religious? >> I am. Not quite in the way that people mean when they ask this, but I am.
Why did your last relationship end? . Who do you trust the most? >> Can Calah.
What site do you visit the most? >> This week, it's been YouTube. I've watched so many YouTube videos just because I haven't had the energy to do much else.
Do you have a Deviant Art account? >> I have three of them. Two of them are defunct (I probably couldn't even get back into them if I tried), and the most recent one is just so I can look at Mature Content or whatever. I don't post on it or anything. Have you read Death Note? >> Way, way back in the day.
Do you have a blacklight? >> I do not. How old where you when you lost your virginity? . How often do you wash your sheets? >> Every other week.
Do anything productive today? >> I tried out a different food other than fucking crackers (cornflakes, with a small amount of almond milk), I played some Grim Dawn (god, Elite difficulty is kicking my ass... where the fuck are the gear drops that I can actually use? spare a gear drop plz?), I watched a movie (Scream, finally, and it actually is as good as everyone says it is, surprisingly), and I watched some YouTube including finding and starting a new LP (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories). I also put my clean laundry away. Is Uma Thurman’s face annoying? >> That's... so specific. what did Uma Thurman's face do to you
How are your grades? .
Most tedious/annoying class? .
Did you skip class today? . Who do you love? .
Would you move anywhere for someone you love? .
Are spiders scary? >> Not as a rule. But there are definitely some spiders out there that I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.
Cheetos. Poofy or regular? .
What color are your eyes? >> Dark brown. What shampoo do you use? >> Cantu brand, usually the guava ginger variety.
How old are you? >> 36, for 72 more hours. Whats your favorite music genre? >> I suppose that's metal, since that's what I seem to get the most consistent joy out of listening to.
What’s a total deal breaker in a potential bf/gf? .
You’re at Starbucks. What do you order? >> I'd rather go to a local place if I'm in the position to buy a coffee drink.
Wendy’s or McDonald’s? >> I haven't had Wendy's in ages. McDonald's on the other hand surprised me last weekend with their blatant Popeye's dupe. It was actually edible.

What Is the Difference Between IMAX 70mm and Regular IMAX?
Nolan is no stranger to IMAX filming, and Oppenheimer is certainly no exception. Often regarded as the "gold standard" of filmmaking, Nolan has consistently embraced IMAX throughout his entire career, despite the considerable effort it demands. The director has a long-standing history of leveraging the advantages of IMAX, and he remains committed to its use. In fact, when asked about his preference for IMAX filming, Nolan shared his perspective on why he continuously turns to this format:
“The sharpness and the clarity and the depth of the image is unparalleled. The headline, for me, is by shooting on IMAX 70mm film, you’re really letting the screen disappear. You’re getting a feeling of 3D without the glasses. You’ve got a huge screen and you’re filling the peripheral vision of the audience. You’re immersing them in the world of the film.”
But there’s a difference between watching on IMAX 70mm and regular IMAX.
IMAX 70mm offers the IMAX Experience with 15 perf/70mm film projection. This format delivers exceptionally bright, clear images at 10 times the resolution of standard projections, combined with laser-aligned digital sound and custom theater geometry for the most immersive movie experience ever created. Oppenheimer was shot using a groundbreaking blend of 5-perf 65mm and 15-perf IMAX FILM. When viewed on 70mm IMAX screens, the visuals shot on 15 perf IMAX retain their native format, displaying the highest quality imaging ever conceived, filling the giant screens from top to bottom. The 5-perf 65mm sequences fill the IMAX screen seamlessly from side to side, while the film switches between aspect ratios, accompanied by an IMAX uncompressed 5.0 digital sound mix, ensuring an awe-inspiring and fully engaging presentation of the movie.
In regular IMAX theaters, cutting-edge projectors are utilized to deliver exceptionally sharp, clear, and vibrant images, accompanied by laser-aligned sound and tailor-made theater geometry, resulting in an unparalleled digital movie experience. Exclusively offered by IMAX, this experience allows viewers to enjoy the film in both 1.90:1 and 1.43:1 aspect ratios, depending on the location. The Digital Cinema IMAX digital presentation is crafted from 8k scans of the original film elements, meticulously graded to suit the high-contrast dual-projector IMAX digital projectors. These visuals are then scaled down to 4K resolution and paired with the uncompressed IMAX 5.0 sound mix, ensuring an immersive cinematic journey like no other.
How Long Will Oppenheimer Be Playing in IMAX 70mm?
Theaters have committed to featuring Oppenheimer in IMAX 70mm through August 16/17, as stated by a spokesperson from Universal Pictures.
IMAX 70mm screenings are experiencing immense popularity, with numerous showings being completely sold out, except for a few scattered seats in the front rows near the screen. However, there is a possibility of extending the movie's run if it receives a positive response from the audience.
Oppenheimer IMAX 70mm Showtimes Continue Into the Fall
While Oppenheimer will lose its exclusive access to IMAX screens on August 18 with the release of Warner Bros' Blue Beetle, Universal and IMAX have already made plans to bring back the film in late summer/fall, as availability permits. With films like Kraven the Hunter getting delayed until next year, there is the possibility that the film will return as soon as September or October.'

character name: Celine Ediz age & birthday: 29, December 7th, 1994 gender & pronouns: Cis woman, She/Her place of birth & time in East Haven: Indianapolis, Indiana and 1 year district: Downtown occupation: Assistant to the Mayor faceclaim: Hande Erçel family: Emre Ediz (brother)
CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY TWs: infidelity
PAST
Celine was born the youngest of the family. While her family wasn’t big, it was happy and she can fondly look back on her childhood with happy memories. Growing up in the heartlands, she was raised with the American Dream in mind that her parents wanted for her and her older brother, Emre.
Though Celine had tried to avoid him after that night and pretend it had never happened, they were drawn to each other and soon she started having an affair with her older and married boss. They continued their affair for two years, keeping it a secret that she couldn’t even tell her best friends. He was married and he told her how miserable he was in his marriage and how he wanted a divorce but she owned some of his company and he said threatened to never let him see their kids again. He told her that he was in the middle of a battle of their lawyers, but if his wife found out about Celine he’d lose custody of his kids and lose too much of the company. Celine, like a fool, ate up everything he told her and believed it all.
One night when she’d been with him, his wife showed up and caught them together. She’d been angry, blaming him and blaming Celine. The blow up had been horrible and she threatened to expose their affair, Celine was going to lose her job, her life was going to completely change in the place she had only called home. But nothing was worse than the truth. There had been no talks of divorce. No evil wife threatening to never let him see his kids again and steal the company.
She didn’t want to live with the shame of being exposed in this position, and she’d felt used and lied to by her boss when his wife exposed some of his lies. She’d always wanted to live by the mountains so she packed up all her belongings, withdrew all her savings and drove to the East Coast. She started in North Carolina and drove up the coast until she found a town that she liked the vibe of.
Starting over was exactly what Celine needed. The New England town was cheerful, small enough without being run over by the tourist season and was beautiful by the mountains. She quickly found a living situation with two other roommates and took up a job as assistant to the mayor while she looked for an interior design job.

COLONY HOUSE releases “Would Ya Could Ya,” in anticipation of The Cannonballers, dropping 2/3/23
Tumblr media
The music of Colony House—an indie rock band made up of brothers Will and Caleb Chapman, as well as Scott Mills and Parke Cottrell—is playfully self-described as “landlocked surf rock.” Their personal genre designation is as much inspired by their hometown of Franklin, Tenn., as their new album The Cannonballers is: within 11 tracks, the band delves into where they come from and how a place, and its memories, have made them. “It’s too easy getting sucked into the grind of everyday life… the hustle and the hurry we all willingly subject ourselves to,” Caleb says of the newest single. “‘Would Ya Could Ya’ is about breaking the mold. At surface level, it’s a ‘let’s get outta here’ open road, never look back type of cruiser, but beneath the surface, I think it recognizes that we are often the obstacle standing in our own way and that it’s up to us to make the next move.” Following the February 3rd release of The Cannonballers, Colony House will embark on a national tour, kicking off on February 11th at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Dates HERE.  The Cannonballers marks the band’s fourth full-length release: their three previous studio collections take listeners on a journey through stories of loss, grief, and heartbreak while welcoming them into the hope that comes on the other side. Their 2014 debut, When I Was Younger, included the single “Silhouettes,” which became the #1 most played track on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation for four months straight. Only The Lonely, whose title and demeanor pay tribute to the vintage sounds of Roy Orbison and the Beach Boys, followed in 2017. The surf-rock hit, “You Know It,” went viral on Tik Tok, and has amassed 100 million streams across all platforms to date, after being featured as the soundtrack to Samsung Mobile’s nationwide ad campaign. Leave What’s Left Behind was released in January of 2020; the band managed to play half of their 40 city headline tour before being forced to pause alongside the rest of the world. Like many touring artists, they found different ways to continue to create, producing and directing a full-length feature film, “Everybody’s Looking For Some Light,” which was an official selection at the Nashville and Knoxville Film Festivals. The movie debuted at a two-day drive-in event produced by the band at Greystone Quarry in Franklin, TN. Over 2,000 people (in over 600 cars) showed up to watch the film and see Colony House perform. The band has performed their songs for worldwide audiences with two appearances on both Late Night with Seth Meyers and CONAN, as well as The Today Show, VH1’s “Morning Buzz,” and MTV Live. They have also been part of several festival lineups including Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits, Firefly, WonderBus, and Lollapalooza. 2023 will see them adding Bonnaroo to that already impressive list. The Cannonballers is an apt addition to the band’s catalog, staying true to what Colony House does best, and expanding on what their fans have gravitated to for the past decade: hope and light in the midst of it all. No frills, no gimmicks. Just heart-level rock and roll music. The Cannonballers is now available to PRE-SAVE and will be out everywhere on February 3rd, 2023.
