some notes: 1. xu da's blade here is the dadao, or the big sabre. i swear this isn't a pun, it's different da characters. 2. the background is refencing a specific early 13th century painting, ma yuan's 'scholar viewing a waterfall'. (go look at the original, zoomed in, at the met museum site). 3. the abacus and the suanpan coexisted historically across the world from each other, but if one inspired the other is unclear (according to my shoddy research)

Ar-Pharazon from the Reverse Gondolin AU and as Witch-King of Numenor - thanks to @who-needs-words for helping develop this idea!
#silm#silmarillion#second age#ar pharazon#reverse gondolin au#(well more like the aftermath of gondolin reversal)#this au has consumed my life#on the plus side inspiration for feanor is finally reemerging from under the metaphorical couch so i might get something finwion-y done soo#aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa so much to draw so little time#seriously though golden nazgul is such a cool idea#whatever the mordor equivalent for the angband trio is (sauron pharazon and shelob maybe?) is going to look so cool in black and gold#black/gold black hole shelob!!#and prince elrond is super finwiony looking#also he has his wings & glowiness out a lot more so that'll be fun#but yeah basically in the au Prince Elrond realized via foresight what was happening/going to happen in numenor#so he went there and disowned ar pharazon (by extension removing him from the throne) and crowned tar miriel rightful Ruling Queen#then later when sauron showed up he came back kicked sauron out and outlawed the death cult#but between that time sauron secretly recruited ar pharazon by promising him kingship in exchange for his support#and anyways ar pharazon survived all the way to the TA as the Witch King#(mr. angmar here gets to be second in command of the nazgul sorry)#-imagine this guy showing up to be all 'bagginssss' though#the witch king of numenor is somehow even more dramatic#also the whole 'no living man can kill me' is. a bit different coming from a guy who has many enemies in the form of#a) his cousin the Ruling Queen of Numenor#b) his uncle the choice-of-elves-peredhel#c) a bunch of Faithful in the Halls#the dead guys aren't too much of a problem#but i wonder if he heard that prophecy and worried a whole lot more about the Ruling Queens#or Prince Elrond who in the au has very definitely embraced his maia-ness#and then imagine his surprise hearing 'but no living man am i' and it coming from. a random human lady.

sometimes i like hitting people with my silly little trigun headcanon that the direction (from the front of the scalp vs the back of the neck) of the hair darkening effect matters for independents
#vash’s hair darkens first from the back of the neck when he loses control of his powers/is forced to activate them#while conversely his hair darkens from the front of his scalp/the side of his head when he consensually activates his powers to protect#the orphanage + create the black hole bullets for the final fight#the last strand of blonde hair is at the front of his head#for knives. his hair starts darkening from the front of the scalp right away#when he also consensually activates his own powers#i think that darkening from the front happens upon purposeful activation while darkening from the back is nonconsensual/forced/accidental#this is why i like when vash has a blonde streak in the front vs knives has a blonde streak in the back post-canon#vash choosing to live (front) vs knives living bc the narrative won’t let him die yet (back)#too many thoughts. i like trigun#if you couldn’t tell

Hello everyone,
These last years have been such a learning experience for me. I've been mostly teaching. It's something I definitely enjoy doing and when I'm on it, I get so absorbed I forget everything else and all I think about is lessons..........👀 (sometimes I secretly think that teaching children is my strongest talent.. 👀) This teaching obsession of mine caused my creative activity to be very limited. Most of my free time in between classes was dedicated in practicing piano and reading books. After realising my energy levels started to drain, and after noticing an extreme exhaustion, I worried that this workaholic attitude was effecting my health. I needed the medicinal practice of "creating" music. That's how I decided it's time to change things... because when I make music, I get to know myself a bit better, and I feel more at peace. 🙏
Now, before I start my new compositional adventures, I'm releasing in a mini EP/single/album the songs I recorded in my Black Hole sessions during 2021-2022 here in London. I made this release a bit more special on bandcamp by adding to the bundle 2 bonus songs from previous Black Hole sessions that are dear to me, and also fit the "feel" of the recent new songs.

#m rambles#if I could trade all my years of good luck when I was younger to just be fucking normal I would#the latest in my series of unfortunate events:#decided to hire traffic lawyer for my ticket#traffic lawyer gets my info but never sends any follow up#today I got a fucking ‘failed to appear in court’#because apparently my lawyer didn’t do jack shit#and it’s just one more FUCKING thing#I don’t even know what the fuck to do now#this will probably fuck up my chances of getting my ticket dismissed#and I’m too paranoid to go for a lawyer again because if I fail to show up again they can put out a warrant for my arrest#im so nauseous#I really can’t deal with being alive anymore and I mean that in the most serious fucking way I can#if I had access to a gun or a garage I could lock myself in I would fucking do it#but I’m too terrified of being in pain to try any other way so I guess I live to see another sunrise tomorrow#just to go into work at a job I probably won’t have in a month’s time because of layoffs#to explain to my coworkers and my manager why I’m so fucking behind#and without a single bit of professional help because my therapist dropped me weeks ago and I’ve been stuck in a hole ever since#I’ve left my house less that 5 times in the entire month of October and yet I live in a fucking pigs sty#I sleep on the couch because I’m too tired to climb the stairs and all I can smell is the mold from my dishes#which literally had fucking maggots in it last time I looked at them#I think there’s black mold in my basement that I can’t clean and my fridge is going to mold soon because my water pitcher leaked#if I’d known when I was a kid that all those times where things just seemed to magically work out would lead to my life falling apart#I would have shut my goddamn mouth about getting a B in physics and dealt with it to prevent my life from becoming the shit show it is today
