Nurturing a passion for animation is akin to tending to a seed that sprouts into a magnificent tree, casting its shade across the landscape of one's life. It begins with a spark, an inherent fascination with moving pictures and the desire to tell stories that transcend the boundaries of reality. As children, many of us were enthralled by the enchanting world of cartoons, wondering how these fantastical characters came to life on our screens. Little did we know that these seemingly simple sketches were a culmination of boundless creativity, technical expertise, and a profound love for the art of animation.
In the pursuit of nurturing a passion for animation, aspiring animators embark on a journey of continuous learning and growth. One of the fundamental building blocks is honing the skill of drawing, the very foundation of animation. Sketching allows animators to give form to their vivid imaginings and bring characters to life through fluid lines and intricate detailing. Aspiring animators explore the nuances of anatomy, perspective, and character design, elevating their craft and paving the way for artistic excellence.
In parallel to artistic skills, technical proficiency is another cornerstone in the world of animation. With the advancement of technology, animation has evolved from traditional hand-drawn frames to computer-generated imagery (CGI) and three-dimensional animations. Mastering animation software and understanding the intricacies of modeling, texturing, rigging, and rendering empower animators to turn their dreams into awe-inspiring realities on the screen.
However, the true essence of animation extends beyond mere technicality; it resides in the ability to imbue characters with emotions, making them relatable and unforgettable. A passionate animator goes beyond just creating visually appealing sequences – they delve into the psychology of characters, understanding their motivations and aspirations, and infusing their work with authentic emotions that resonate with the audience. This emotional connection is the very essence that distinguishes good animation from extraordinary storytelling.
To nurture a passion for animation, aspiring animators must embrace the essence of storytelling. Animation, at its core, is about weaving narratives that captivate and touch the hearts of viewers. Whether through delightful comedies, heart-wrenching dramas, or epic adventures, animated stories have the power to leave an enduring impact on people of all ages. Understanding the art of storytelling allows animators to craft compelling arcs for their characters, weaving threads of imagination into a coherent and mesmerizing tapestry.
The journey of nurturing a passion for animation is not without its challenges. Like any creative pursuit, it demands dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to push the boundaries of one's abilities. Failure becomes an invaluable teacher, guiding animators towards growth and innovation. By embracing mistakes as stepping stones to success, animators develop resilience, ensuring their dreams reach the screens with newfound brilliance.
Thankfully, in today's world, there are numerous avenues for aspiring animators to pursue their passion and turn their dreams into reality. Reputable animation schools and courses provide a structured and comprehensive approach to learning the craft, offering mentorship from experienced professionals and exposure to the industry's latest techniques and trends. Such educational environments foster a supportive community of like-minded individuals, sparking collaborations that often lead to groundbreaking creations.
In conclusion, the journey of nurturing a passion for animation is a testament to the power of the human imagination. From humble doodles to awe-inspiring spectacles on the silver screen, the art of animation is an ode to creativity, storytelling, and the human spirit. Aspiring animators must embrace the magic of their vibrant imaginations, embrace technical prowess, and connect deeply with the essence of storytelling to make their dreams come alive on screens, captivating audiences for generations to come.

Who was Sage Durvasa? How was it possible for him to be a part of both Ramayana and Mahabharata?
Who was Sage Durvasa? Let us know about him first. Durvasa (Sanskrit: दुर्वासा) also known as Durvasas (Sanskrit: दुर्वासस्), was an ancient Rishi, the son of Atri and Anasuya. He is known for his short temper. Hence, wherever he went, he was received with great reverence from humans and devas alike.
2.Sage Durvasa was born of the Great Sage Atri and his chaste wife Anasuya. Three sons were born of this sacred couple. Who were they? First, Chandra as the incarnation of Lord Brahma, the Creator was born; the second was the Lord Dattatreya {incarnation of mainly Lord Vishnu, the Sustainer] and the last one was none other than the Hero of our topic, i.e., Sage Durvasa [the incarnation of Rudra].
Incidentally, it may be pointed out that Sage Atri was named as such by the trinity as He did penance and meditation beyond the realms of three Gunas, viz., Satva, Thamasa and Rajo gunas. He was the inventor of Ayurveda. He also is endowed with performing of non-pareil achievements like transforming Himself as Sun and Moon when the whole world was drowned in darkness. He was the first and foremost, through his clairvoyance, to have known the existence of Rig Veda’s foremost, through his clairvoyance, to have known the existence of Rig Veda’s Śākala Shākha {Fifth Mandala (circle)] wherein the Indra Sthuti and Agni Stotram were found. It was, through him only, the whole world has come to know of the same. How did he decipher that? It was through his deep penetration of his wisdom through intensive meditation and penance. Śākala Shākha (Sanskrit:शाकल शाखा) is the oldest shakha ("branch" or "recension") of Rigveda. The Śākala tradition is mainly followed in Maharashtra. The Bashkala recension of the Rigveda has the Khilani which are not present in the Shakala text but is preserved in one Kashmir manuscript {now at Pune]. Please see the manuscript below:-
Durvasa was born of the Great Sage Atri when he was in the grip of uncontrollable energy and the result of his union with Anasuya resulted in the birth of Durvasa. Chapter 44 of the Brahmanda Purana contains a very interesting incident. It so happened that Shiva and his consort Parvati got entangled into a heated argument and witnessing the rage of Lord Shiva as a sequel to this quarrel, the Devas took to their heels. Later, realising the magnitude of his anger, Shiva decided to deposit the anger into Anasuya and out of this, sprouted the child Durvasa. Literally, it denotes one who is difficult to live with. Because of this, Durvasa had an irascible nature.
Why was he named like that? There is another interesting episode. Durvaasaa (it is a compound of Dur _ Vaasaa in Sanskrit]. He was about six months old and one day when Anasuya went to the river bank for fetching water and the Sage Atri (Sanskrit: अत्रि) was engaged in performance of Agni santhanam {i.e., daily rituals of homa or Agni worship), the child got thirsty as it was time for his mother’s breast-feeding. As he could not bear the thirst, he kicked off his legs in such a way that the Kamandal kept nearby was thrown off at some distance. Seeing the child being obstreperous, Sage Atri took out one {darbha-like grass] { meaning Dhurvaa in Sanskrit} and through it driblets of water were poured in. Now, the child was smiling as its thirst had been slaked.
Now, harking back to the issue, how Durvasa was a part of both Threthayuga (when Ramayana took place] and Dwaparayuga {when Mahabharatha took place]. Durvasa occupies a predominant position in the history of sages. When Sage Atri through his clairvoyance saw that the child’s anger, per se, will be a taboo for his life span, he immediately excogitated a plan whereby He turned the anger into a boon. He blessed the child that the more Durvasa curses, his life span will automatically increase. Hence, wherever he went, if he was not satisfied even to a little extent, he would immediately utter a curse. At the same time, his anger could be compared to that of the milk boiling in a vessel and when it is about to overflow, pouring of small drops of water would contain the boiling point. Similarly, Durvasa after venting his spleen, would calm down instantaneously and also suggest remedial measures to overcome his curse.
He has been a great part of both the Ramayan and the Mahabharat. He has caused many major incidents to unfold. Since he was a sage of higher order, it is quite possible for him to live much longer than lesser mortals. Not just in Ramayan (Treta Yug) or Mahabharata (Dwapar Yug), he was the reason for the famous incident of Sagar Manthan (Satya Yug) too, according to Padma Puran etc.
Sage Durvasa was not only the Sage to be the part of both Ramayana and Mahabharatha; but there are others as well.
Let’s see the list hereinfor:-
1.Vayu Deva. Father of both Hanuman and Bhima.
2.Mayasura He was the foster Father of Mandodari and in Mahabharat, he stays in Khandavaprasthak and Takhak is his friend. After destruction of Khandarvam (in Sanskrit) forest, at the behest of Lord Krishna and Arjuna, he built a beautiful palace for Pandavas and also gifted his mace to Bhima.
3.Maharshi Bharadwaj: In Ramayana, both Rama and Seeta stay at his Ashram. Bharatha and his large retinue was given a sumptuous feast. And, in Mahabharat, he is the Father of Dronacharya. Drona was not born from the womb but when the Sage Bharadwaj went to Ganges with his disciples fo a bath, he came across a beautiful Apsara and the Sage could not control his excitement and ejaculated the semen. This was preserved in a vessel made of leaf and Drona was born out of that.
4.Kubera, the Lord of Wealth and a friend of Lord Shiva. Once, he ruled Lanka and driven away by his half-brother, Ravana, he settled in Alaka in Himayalas. He is the son of Pulastya Prajapati and Idavida. He is stated to have been born of a cow.
5. Hanuman: No narration is needed of Lord Hanuman. In Ramayana, his role is impeccable and ineffable. In Mahabharat, he occupies the Flag of Chariot which Lord Krishna as charioteer with Arjuna. The Gitopadesa is imparted by the former to the latter in the battlefield. Hanuman also prevents Bhima when the latter goes in search of Saukandhika flowers for Draupadi.
6. Sage Parashuram: Being an Avatar of Lord Vishnu, he invites Rama for a fight. When Lord Rama breaks the Vishnu Bow, his ego against Kshatriyas is subdued and he apologises to Rama. Rama broke Pinaka {Shiva Bow) in Ramayana. In Mahabharat, Parashuram is the mentor of Bhishma, Drona and Karna.
7.Vibhishana: In Ramayana, he is the younger brother of Ravana and advises and pleads with his brother to return Sita to Rama. He is driven out of Lanka and takes refuge at the lotus feet of Lord Rama. In Mahabharat, Sahadeva, while on a mission to Lanka for the completion of Rajasuya Yajna, meets Vibhishana.
8. Agasthya Maharshi: In Ramayana, both Lord Rama and Sita meet the Sage and seek his benisons. At the battle field, he preaches Aditya Hridaya stotram to Lord Rama for winning the war. He also gives a divine bow and arrow to him. In Mahabharat, he advises Vindhya mountains against growing further till his return back so that the Sun, Moon, etc. could pass over easily.
9.Shakti Maharshi: He is the son of Sage Vashishta, who was the Preceptor to Dasaratha and Lord Rama thereafter. Shakthi is the Father of Parasara and grandfather of Sage Vyasa, author of Mahabharat, Bhagawad Gita and Vishnu Purana.
10. Finally, we have come to DURVASA: In Ramayana, the Sage, famous for short temperament, visits Ayodhya and insists on having an audience with Lord Rama. Lakshmana is guarding the place where Lord Yama is in private conversation with Lord Rama. Rama promises Lord Yama that if any one interrupts the meeting, he will be executed. Lakshmana, fearing the curse on Ayodhya which the Sage was to cast, intervenes in the midst and Rama asks his younger brother to leave him for ever which is equivalent to death. Lakshmana goes to the banks of River Sarayu and leaves for Vaikuntam through that river.
Sage Durvasa, an incarnation of Lord Shiva’s anger and also known for his short termper is not seen in Tretayuga and Dwaparayuga but also is seen in Satya Yuga. Albeit he was respected for his knowledge and wisdom, people were scared of him because of his short lived short temper. He has attained, through his meditation and penance, many powers and able to attain greater achievements by adhering to Ashtanga Yoga. Many such events of his life were remembered for centuries and he was the main cause of Lord Indra to lose his wealth and power.
In Mahabharata, the Sage gives boon to Kunti while she was a young girl who was deputised by her Father, Kunt Bhoja, to cater to the needs of the Sage. Due to that boon, not only Kunti but also Madri begets the Pandavas.
Now, harking back to the crux, Sage Durvasa lives through the Yugas (aeons) because of his yogic powers and siddhi obtained through rigorous austerities. It is no wonder for the Great Sages and Saints of yore to live through the Yugas as it is beyond the realms of imagination of the moral beings.
What does the term “Atri” mean? It denotes one who has reached the zenith of Triputi (त्रिपुटी) i.e., knower, knowing {the objet] and knowledge, i.e., the aggregate of agent, object and action.
11. Jambhavan: In Ramayana, everyone knows that he was the part of the Vanara Sena {Monkey Legion albeit he was a Bear]. He was instrumental in kindling the innate characteristics of Lord Hanuman which helped the latter to cross the ocean and reach Sri Lanka. In Mahabharat, he offers his Daughter Jambhavathi to Lord Krishna as also Shymanthakamani which was the cause of blame on Krishna.

A Natural Work of Art May Be Hiding Among Indian Cave Masterpieces Ten thousand years ago or more, people started painting the walls of caves near Bhopal, India. Over the millenniums they made thousands of images in what are now called the Bhimbetka Rock Shelters: men, women, a couple having sex, dancers, children, hunts, battles, about 29 different animal species and mythical beasts like a part-boar part-ox part-elephant. Over time, art styles shifted. Human figures donned clothes. Horses and elephants sprouted riders. Wars danced across sandstone faces. Today, many of the cave walls are now palimpsests, with medieval warriors covering Chalcolithic art on top of even older Mesolithic drawings. Still, an overlooked pattern spotted by a tour group of scientists in March 2020 seemed so, so, so much older. Older than representational art or humans or primates or fish or horseshoe crabs. Eleven feet up on the wall of an area called Auditorium Cave, the visitors had identified something that looked an awful lot like an imprint of Dickinsonia, an iconic 550 million year-old fossil from the first bloom of complex life on Earth. The gaggle of geologists had traveled to India for last spring’s International Geological Congress, which was then canceled because of the pandemic. But the pre-conference field trips went ahead, including a visit to the caves led by Ranjit Khangar and Merajuddin Khan from the Geological Survey of India. “Talk about serendipity,” said Gregory Retallack, a paleontologist at the University of Oregon who described the 17-inch fossil this month in the journal Gondwana Research. “Finding it where we would not expect, on the last day of the expedition, in a cultural stop?” Dr. Retallack and the others didn’t have hammers or equipment on them. Instead they took as many different pictures from as many different angles as possible. Back home after the trip, they used image-based 3-D modeling software to take a closer look. Dickinsonia, a blob with internal ridges that looks vaguely like a halved Christmas ham, has been found in Australia, Russia, Ukraine and as of this January, close to China’s Three Gorges Dam. No Indian specimens were known. But the size, shape and surrounding rocks of the Bhimbetka pattern all match Dickinsonia fossils elsewhere, the team argues, confirming the find. Within Indian geology, the discovery may settle a long debate about the ages of ancient basins like the one that hosts the Bhimbetka site. Some studies date these rocks to 800 or 900 million years ago; others have suggested they are younger. Fossils, tied to specific ages like footnotes on the pages of a book, could help. “People have been trying for decades to look at the fossil content of these rocks, and they haven’t come up with much convincing evidence,” said Suvrat Kher, a science writer in Pune, India. The presence of Dickinsonia, however, nails down an age of about 550 million years. Other scientists note that Dr. Retallack is embroiled in a deep debate over where Dickinsonia and other bizarre early organisms fit on the tree of life. Recent scientific consensus has shifted toward calling them prototypical animals that lived on the seafloor. But Dr. Retallack’s work has held that these organisms — including this one — lived on land, not in the sea, and that they were lichens. But his critics make an exception for this finding. “Most of Greg’s work, there’s a million reasons why it’s wrong,” said Emily Mitchell, a paleontologist at the University of Cambridge. “This, to me, it’s feasible. And if it was it would be very very cool.” The discovery might really be Dickinsonia, she said. One way to further examine that might be to get permission to scrape off and test a little material. But given where it was found, she said, it also could be a painting or petroglyph itself, a possibility rejected in Dr. Retallack’s study. If it is just cave art, it could merely be a satisfying, simple design that only looks like Dickinsonia to paleontologists with that fossil already on the mind. Or to add confusion: it could even be an ancient rendering of a Dickinsonia. So maybe it’s a drawing that happens to look like a fossil, or a drawing about a fossil, or maybe it’s the real deal: a trace from the dawn of life nearly overwritten by the dawn of human creativity. In that latter case, “I think wow, they can’t have failed to notice it,” said Dr. Retallack, speculating about the cave artists. “I wonder if that was why they decided to decorate the cave?” Source link Orbem News #among #Art #Cave #hiding #Indian #Masterpieces #Natural #Work

Getting on to to the #eathealthy bandwagon here is my take on home-cooked simple meals . . On the plate - Missi roti, dal ( fodnicha varan ) matki bhel and kukuri bhendi. . Missi roti is a North Indian speciality and is often made in various homes in the North Indian belt. I am sharing this family recipe which my mother in law has taught me.. and we now have this instead of normal rotis. Instead of using besan I have kneaded the wheat flour in left over dal, added chopped onion, jeera powder, kasuri methi, salt & coriander( I am sure you must have guessed how much Coriander I love 😁) For the matki bhel, I've steamed the sprouts added chopped onion, tomatoes, coriander salt, pepper, half a lemon juice and a few roasted peanuts. Kurkuri bhendi is just a game of patience 😁 added a little amchur power for the tang and the dal is basics. . . I hope you try this and tag @eat_travel_gram in your posts #homecookedfood #simplepleasures #foods #simplefood #tastyrecipes #recipes #familyrecipe #mood #cookingwithlove #cookwithme #eattravelgram #eatpraytravels #eat_pray_travel (at Pune, Maharashtra) https://www.instagram.com/p/CILIIYclE4_/?igshid=x2400ievmlsr

Last week we had a huge storm cyclone and torrential rains. Though it lasted only for a few hours the howling wind put the fear of “Winds” in all of us. As the wind howled and screamed at our windows threatening to break the glass, my little daughter snuggled into my lap and stayed put the whole day. What came out of the awful storm was lot of fairy tales and stories woven by my little daughter’s awesome imagination and this beautiful Pink Rain Lily whom we have named Rouge. Another first bloom for me ! This is such a pleasant surprise for me as I had totally forgotten which color bulbs I had got. I am always amazed by these awesome natural events like the May flower, which blooms every year in the month of may without fail. All year round it shrivels with no leaves or flower but come May a leaf sprouts out and out comes the most beautiful flower. Another of this awesome natural events is the rain lily which blooms every time it rains. No matter how much you water it from different water sources and creating different rain scenarios, (I have tried it all) it blooms only when it rains from the sky. I wonder how it knows the difference. #flowers #flowersfrommygarden #gardening #pink #macrophotography #nature #naturephotography #pink #flowerstagram #flowerphotography #garden #loves_garden #beautiful #rainlily #instabloom #pune #macroclique #ponyfony_flower #fabulous_shots #ig_flowers #igscflower #ig https://www.instagram.com/p/CBJATSbpYbf/?igshid=1lxqs238ddoaz

Top 10 dishes you shouldn’t miss in Pune, India
I got to explore the Maharashtrian cuisine when I was out exploring India. In my first article for Travel for Food Hub, I’ll be bringing to you some of the dishes native to the place, and the ones that have made it to my favourites list. Check out the top 10 dishes you shouldn’t miss in Pune:
Bakarwadi
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by The Food Compass (@the.foodcompass) on Apr 20, 2019 at 9:00pm PDT
Bakarwadi is a sweet and spicy snack, that’s one of the favourite snacks in Maharashtra. It’s made of gram flour dough that is stuffed with a mixture of coconut and sesame seeds. They are later spiralled, cut into pieces and fried until crisp. It’s a snack you can munch on at any time of the day.
Misal Pav
Misal Pav is unique to Maharashtra, and it’s one of my absolute favourites! It is probably the dish I miss the most after I left the place. It’s a popular spicy dish that’s served with a gravy and bread/pav.
The gravy is made out of spices like red chilli, turmeric and other spices that make Indian food so delicious. And it’s mixed with a mixture of boiled potatoes or sprouted and boiled green grams. It’s served with freshly chopped onions, sev/mixture/farsan and to be taken with some lemon squeezed on top of it.
It’s served mainly for breakfast and can be extended as an evening snack or dinner.
TAKEAWAY: Did you know that Maharashtrian cuisine is based on scientific and ayurvedic principles? For example, a food made with sesame in the Sankranti festival (which falls in January of every year), is made because it helps fight seasonal changes and builds immunity. Every food that’s seasonal or made for a particular festival is exclusively made keeping many factors such as climate, the planetary positions of the sun, moon and earth. And, more importantly, the impacts it would have on the human system, to be in tune with the way the universe works. It is fascinating!
Sabudana Vada
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by HomeChef Diaries (@homechefdiaries) on Apr 28, 2019 at 8:46pm PDT
This is a medium spicy snack with soaked tapioca pearls as the primary ingredient. The tapioca pearls are soaked for around 3-4 hours approximately depending on the size of the pearls. When ready, they are mixed with a few key ingredients like roughly ground groundnuts and then fried in oil.
They make for a crisp evening snack and are generally served with curd.
Sabudana Khichdi
This again is made with soaked tapioca pearls. The difference between Sabudana wada and Khichdi is that in the first one, the ingredients are mixed with the soaked tapioca pearls instead of frying them in oil.
It’s one of the most popular breakfasts in Maharashtrian cuisine.
Vada Pav
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by O’Pao (@opaodxb) on May 7, 2019 at 7:14am PDT
This is a quick dish, that’s easily available at all times of the day. It has a cutlet made out of potatoes that are kept inside the pav/bread. This is something you can grab, like a burger, when you are looking for a quick meal.
The add-ons to this dish are the chutney and the fried green chillies that you have to take a bit of, with every bite from the Vada Pav. It’s served for breakfast or as an evening snack.
Bhel Puri at Kalyan Bhel
Bhel Puri is a chaat, made of puffed rice, veggies, and a tamarind sauce. It’s tangy and a little sweet in taste. It’s a light snack and may not fill the stomach, but it fills the hearts for sure with its delicious Indian flavours.
Khoya Poli
It’s an authentic Maharashtrian sweet recipe that’s not easily available in the streets of Pune. I got to taste it thanks to a colleague of mine, when I had been there for a business trip, and it tasted heavenly.
It’s made of khoya, which is a mixture of thickened milk and jaggery, which is then stuffed inside a dough of all-purpose flour. It’s very rich in taste and mostly made as an Indian dessert on special occasions.
Pitla/Zhunka Bhakri
Pitla/Zhunka Bhakri is essentially Indian bread that’s served with chickpea flour porridge. The bread is mostly made of jowar. And the side dish is a spicy gravy that’s made with gram flour mixed with water to form a solid paste and then is sauteed and fried along with the spices.
It’s an inseparable part of the trek to Sinhagad, a fort in Pune. And I’ve seen people visiting this place just for the dish!

It’s a fast food dish and a very popular evening snack. It’s bread/pav served with a thick vegetable curry. The vegetable curry is an assortment of different types of vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, beans, etc. And everything is mashed into a paste and then sauteed and cooked with the spices.
As usual in Pune, the freshly cut onions and the lemon squeezed on top of the curry just before eating makes it lip-smacking.
Shrewsbury Biscuits
Shrewsbury Biscuits is an English dessert but it’s locally manufactured in Pune. It’s one of the most popular biscuits in India, and they are made from dough that’s a mixture of egg, flour, sugar and butter. They serve as a classic dessert dish.
So, that’s it guys! I hope that when you visit Pune, you make sure you try out these dishes that are unique to it
Let me know in the comments if you have had a chance to try any of them!

Without an announcement of test Sai Baba returned to the masjid. Into those innovative lights, he poured water and lit the wicks. The lights kept gobbling up basic into the 12 PM. The issue went to the notice of the sellers who beginning at now came to Sai Baba with sufficient helping assessments. Wouldn't Sai Baba liberally pardon them? Discharge them satisfactorily!" The tornado quickly halted, the ocean storm diminished to slight shower and the Pradhans had the decision to get in contact at their objective safely.

One night Sai Baba brought Kondaji Sutar and said to him: "Go, your field is on fire" Frightened, Kondaji raced to his field and. brutally scanned for any sign of fire. There wasn't any. He returned to the masjid and instructed Sai Baba that he had looked any place regardless had found no trace of fire and for what reason did Baba need to astound him? Courageous, Baba said : "You better turn back and research again." Baba was truly everything considered. Kondaji saw that a heap of corn was totally expending and smoke was flooding from it. A strong breeze was supporting the fire and word had gone round to the tenants who before long came hustling to the scene. "Sai Baba," the people shouted, "help us, help us put the fire out!" "'This," went up to be a platter of sprouts on which some prasad (favored sustenance) had been set close to the bits of responsibilities Baba had gotten before in the day.
