#Little Me was a scaredy hatchling

Can you just imagine when I was much younger.

Playing on my first Nintendo 64 console, and playing the fabulous Mario 64.

That I never got past the first Bowser stage because he scared the living daylights out of little me back then.

And yet.

Here I am now just loving the big turtle dragon dood and absolutely loving pairing him up with the "lesser known" mario bro.

Sad to see so many people rank hatchlings wrong. Here is the correct order of babies.

1. Imperial - Glorious, fetching. He looks like he belongs on a desk as a small bookend to hold your fantasy novels. He is a scaredy cat but pretends to be brave. Looks very much like his papa so you get a decent preview of the adult.

2. Snapper - Pleasant, friendly. Look at her cute puppy face, you know she is a good girl, obedient and kind. Anyone who does not find this adorable is wrong. Give her chin scritches.

3. Nocturne - Splendid, attentive. Look at her little hands held to her chest and the inquisitive tilt of her head. This is a baby that wishes to learn. Her bat wings are able to display the secondary gene without being in the way.

4. Bogsneak - Adorable, derpy. You are not immune to tongue blep. Him just a wee frog on him belly but his upright head lets you know he is aware. Sweet boy.

5. Coatl - Soft. A fuzzy bab. Clumsy or extremely playful either way constantly tumbling about. Slightly overplayed as a permababy however so minus a few points. Still among the best of the best.

6. Veilspun - Enchanting. Might this be a fairy child given to you to care for? The hair is luxurious you know it feels like silk. The one major flaw is the body is not yet serpentine enough like the adults.

7. Skydancer - Cute. She do a little sploot. Another baby on her belly, another soft sweetie pie. The major distraction is there is no elegance but her eyes are bright and engaging.

8. Spiral - Decent. A pile of noodle. The things this baby has seen cannot be unseen. One of the best way to showcase eyes on the site. But the wing arms seem awkward.

9. Wildclaw - Prehistoric. Smol raptor child, worthy of defending. But also this kind of looks like an anime mascot so a point deduction.

10. Mirror - Excitable. Mirror is happy to be here. Good view of the toesies but otherwise this is a hairless puppy. Very good facial expression however. Worth the scroll.

11. Gaoler - Smug. Why is he smirking? A pile of untamed hair. Soft and fuzzy for that purpose but doesn't look as majestic as he will be grown up. Stop making direct eye contact with me.

12. Tundra - A muppet. Bless him he tries but... it's not his fault he is a Tundra.

13. Gaurdian - She said you want WING you want smol bab big WING? Honestly the sole reason she isn't higher is because obviously she is not listening. Look at her gaze, she is about to run over and get into the trash bin. Naughty!

14. Banescale - A bab for people with very specific tastes. If those tastes are yours you would die for Banescale. If not, utterly forgettable. Also not chickeny enough.

15. Ridgeback - CHIN. Idol of neck pain. Still cuter than the adults so bonus points.

16. Fae - This is a fetus. 0/10

17. Pearlcatcher - Ungainly. Ugly. Why is the body almost entirely hidden by the pearl? I cannot see what they look like as an adult that well. Sherk ears. The whiskers look like insect antenna at this level. Do not like. Never like. Grow into your body you icky little noodle, the end of 5 days cannot get here soon enough.
