TWISTED HUNGER

Millennials eat food in different dimensions, often simulations to satisfy a different kind of hunger. The oddity and complexity of their hunger allow for the continuous hunt for unimaginable foods.

This set is inspired by still photographs of foods mixed with inedible objects that simulate real foods. In reality, “foods” are becoming more and more inedible, depending on how and where it is bound to be consumed.

Food, in all its forms, is a huge part of a generation��s identity. Interestingly, millennials have a multidimensional food, thus describing its twisted hunger.    

Catch these photos at ACCELERA: A Photography Exhibit hosted by UP Photographers' Society. Accelera features more than 30 photo sets created by the Litratistas to capture the lives of millennials. The exhibit runs from November 6 to 17, 2017 at the Student Union Building, UPLB.

This photograph is my entry for UP Photographers' Society Photography Exhibit entitled Piraso. The main focus of the exhibit is to show the significance of details in one's photograph. I don't actually remember on which part of the campus this photograph was taken but I'm quite sure about how I feel that day— I'm lost and alone. I don't know where to go that day. I just want to run away from the thoughts inside my head and roaming around is one of those things that helps me to get through this kind of state.Then I saw this tree with no leaves at all, standing strong even half dead. I saw a reflection of myself.
