[VLOG] Views With Vicks - InterRailing Through Europe: Bucharest, Budapest, Split, Slovenia, Milan
Bucharest, Romania
youtube
First official video for this new adventure with Views With Vicks. The weather wasn’t the best however it brightened up in the afternoon allowing us to go out and explore Bucharest. I found the city rather big and there is definitely a lot of exploring you can do.
A few things that stood out to us that there was quite a few churches, also in the evenings there was a real presence of police patrolling the area which I personally thought was amazing.
The hostel we stayed in was the Pura Vida Sky bar & Hostel and personally I wasn’t that much of a fan. If your travelling and you want a more up beat hostel and things to do I wouldn’t suggest this one.
That being said they did have the rooftop bar which was a nice touch when the sun was out. The cleanliness was up there with the rooms and showers both being clean. The beds were a good size and also very comfortable giving us a good night sleep.
The restaurant we went to I would 100% recommend. The inside was stunning and the range of food was good allowing you to also try the traditional dishes. It was called Caru’ cu Bere and it is located on Stavropoleos street in the lipscani district.
Budapest, Hungry
youtube
The last day in Bucharest was pretty chilled with us chilling in the park and in our new hostel. We stayed in the X hostel and personally I preferred this hostel as it had a bit more to do, a big communal space and the people we met where a lot nicer and more talkative
The Journey was around 15 hours from Bucharest to Budapest which is pretty long but the views along the way was amazing.
I would definitely recommend  the X Hostel in Bucharest. It has a big communal area where you can buy drinks, play ping pong, darts, jenga. They also have an outside bit where you can take your drinks and chill outside if you would prefer that then be downstairs in the bar area.
