All Things Cool 10/16/20
Lindsay Arawaka is a social media strategist and creative living in Tokyo aka super cool
Before moving to Tokyo, Arawaka lived in Brooklyn and worked for Refinery29 managing their social brands such as 29Rooms and more. She has worked with companies like Instagram, Sephora, GIRLBOSS, and VICE Asia.
Aside from CRUSHING it on the interwebs, Arawaka shares her personal artwork online and on Instagram. The images she creates are a combination of film photography and graphic design layered with words of inspiration.
You can follow Arakawa on Instagram and visit her website to keep up with her cool work or buy her art.
The #IVoted sticker game is strong
I’m like the many other Americans who requested a mail-in ballot for the 2020 elections—and can I just be honest and say I’m a little sad about it because I don't get one of these badass stickers.
This year the High Museum of Art and other polling locations have designed custom #IVoted stickers for voters to proudly wear after they have casted their ballots.
BTW— you’ve voted already, right? If not, remember that November 3rd is the LAST day you can vote. Need help finding a polling location near you? Visit vote.org and get a listed of places in your area. Let’s make it rain democracy at the ballot boxes this election. #SorryNotSorry

Design of Dissent at MODA, virtually
This exhibition was a part of MODA’s 2019 exhibition program and has now available to view virtually!
“The Design of Dissent examines graphic work that addresses social and political concerns in the United States and across the globe. The posters featured in this exhibition are drawn from two sources: an exhibition curated by graphic designers Milton Glaser and Mirko Ilic that compiles contemporary posters and printed materials designed to address injustices and the body of work commissioned and crowd-sourced by Amplifier.” — MODA
I’m a big fan of this exhibition— I even wrote a review about it for Arts ATL. Be sure to check it out online and stay tuned for more exciting news about Design of Dissent.
