Major House: Ladon
Austere and traditional, House Ladon is an ancient house–the oldest in the Athena planetary system. To have the strongest ties to the motherland is its own advantage, and for that reason, House Ladon boasts a massive number of minor houses. As access to labor and auspicious planetary conditions are part and parcel to Ladon’s unyielding reputation as titans of the agricultural industry, most other planets find themselves reliant upon the family and their extensive network. But existence through centuries and millennia creates an ugly strain of hubris, and as Ladon's long reign has continued through the Great War and beyond, they are not willing to concede to any sort of change.
Details
HEAD OF HOUSE: Caelum Ladon (NPC)
MODUS OPERANDI: Due to their long history, the Ladons and their sworn houses are considered the most culturally refined throughout Athena. However, their cultivated arrogance and continued obstinacy to maintain the status quo breeds resentment among the other major and minor houses.
CULTURAL TOUCHPOINTS OF LOYAL HOUSES: British, Irish, French, Germanic, Greco-Roman, North, Central, and South American, Canadian, Native American, Polynesian
MINOR HOUSES: ~100
For information on the house members and canon opportunities, please continue reading. We will be previewing four canons, but the rest will be available at site opening.
HOUSE MEMBERS
The owner of this house is Thalia Ladon (played by Taylor). Please contact the owner if you are interested in taking an available family member or have any questions.
LUCIUS SIKANDAR NÉE LADON [Status: Deceased, d. 2995]
As the golden son, the first and most beloved, Lucius Sikandar (neé Ladon) was the foundation on which the continuation of Ladon family would be placed and built upon. Handsome and clever, extroverted and patient in turns, he was adept in making friendships and pacifying his enemies. At the cusp of adulthood, he was betrothed and married to Divya Sikandar, eventually producing a son and daughter. The marital bliss, however, was not meant to last—Lucius was killed in combat in 2995, at the war’s opening.
CAELUM LADON [Status: NPC]
39 Years | Head of House Ladon | Portrayed by Alex Lundqvist
Caelum was never meant to inherit power—a fact that has haunted him since the day Lucius passed in the early days of the war. As a second son, he was coddled, and now every choice he makes leaves a lingering question: would Lucius have done the same? In an effort to redeem himself in the eyes of the populace, against the wishes of the family, he joined the war efforts in 2999.
While at war, during one of the final major offensives, he killed the head of the Lazarevic family. All at once, Caelum became both a wartime hero in the eyes of some and a villain in the eyes of others. Despite his contribution, it shed little of the doubt surrounding his competency as a leader.
Upon the establishment of the Consortium and the beginning of a new world, Caelum has always clung to one thing: family above all else. When gripped by indecision, he always returns to this point, despite having sworn to rule fairly. In this, kindness becomes ruthlessness, and it is most often the family he has pledged to save that bears the brunt of his iron dictation.
CARINA LADON [Status: Available]
36 Years | Consortium Envoy | Portrayed by Linda Vojtová
Carina is the oldest of the Ladon sisters, determined to rebel against every expectation set before her. With the formation of the Consortium, she managed to use her influence to carve out of a place for herself beyond the restrictions of Gaian society. Like her brothers before her, she joined the interplanetary law enforcement, ascending through the ranks to become a coveted Consortium Envoy. Despite familial pressure, Carina is not married, and at this point, nobody expects her to, as she has mercilessly crushed many engagements over the years. The truth is, she has no interest in a man, having always been more concerned with her career than with the idea of romance.
Sidenote: Cadmus Ladon, the patriarch, is rumored to have had a longtime mistress from Erebus, and Carina is the first of the daughters born from wedlock, though the family has always denied it.
VELA LADON [Status: Available]
32 Years | Socialite | Portrayed by Michaela Kocianová
There is no denying that Vela has fashioned for herself a life of luxury and prestige. Neither rebellious nor frivolous, Vela has always understood the lay of the land and deftly discovered how to navigate it. Not to say that she is manipulative—she is simply sociable and flirtatious, clever and quick-witted, with a resourceful air and a knack for mediation. Should she have wanted, she could have become a powerful politician with her skills and background, though a minor youthful scandal that entailed the fleeting elopement of a Serapis son had derailed such pursuits. While Vela insists she lives only the life of a married socialite now, nobody would be terribly shocked to hear that she has her interests set outside of the domestic arena.
NOTE: Vela Ladon is married to one of the sons from House Serapis.
Sidenote: Cadmus Ladon is rumored to have had a longtime mistress from Erebus, and Vela is the second of the daughters born from wedlock, though the family has always denied it.
ATTICA LADON [Status: Available]
32 Years | Artist | Portrayed by Denisa Dvořáková
Attica, creature of the arts, is an immensely talented woman who has since become jaded by her lifetime of praise and worship. A virtuoso at a young age, she has performed on all the major stages across Athena and has been beloved upon them all. Gracious and kind in the public eye, behind the scenes she is less pure than her on-stage persona would ever let on. Scandalous behavior, a slew of sultry affairs, intoxicated debauchery, and backstage diva tantrums: all things that might mar her precious reputation, but forgotten at the blink of an eye with Ladon coin and influence. While Attica’s popularity shields her from the worst of her brother’s wrath, her days of free reign may be drawing to a close more swiftly than she would like, as Caelum threatens to cut her off from the family fortune—or what is left of it—if she continues further in her ways.
Sidenote: Cadmus Ladon is rumored to have had a longtime mistress from Erebus, and Attica is the last of the daughters born out of wedlock, though the family has always denied it.
THALIA LAZAREVIC NÉE LADON [Status: Taken]
26 Years | Heiress | Portrayed by Josephine Le Tutour
As the youngest daughter, Thalia has existed in sheltered ease, hidden away from the world and left to wander the gardens of the Ladon estate. Unlike her sisters, who have all sought rebellion against the traditional system in which they were raised, Thalia has always been content with her lot, never straying beyond the confines of her little world. However, in a bid to win a secure source of terra victus, Caelum arranged for Thalia to be engaged to Adrik Lazarevic, the son of the man he had killed in the Great War, years before. Thalia, clinging strongly to the belief that family comes above all else, acquiesced to the marriage, though she has not lived with her husband in the eight years they have been married, and makes a point to be seen with him as little as possible.
NOTE: Thalia Lazarevic née Ladon is married to Adrik Lazarevic of House Lazarevic.
Sidenote: She, Caelum, and Lucius are the only true children of Cadmus and Lyra Ladon.

A Day Off with Linda Vojtova from Spencer Wardwell on Vimeo.
Ever wonder what models do when they’re not modeling? For Czech super model Linda Vojtová the answer is refreshingly down to earth. On her days off, she hangs with friends, checks in on the week ahead, listens to tracks composed by her Czech grandfather, Vadim Petrov, (included in this video), and goes to the gym.
