Dead Silence by S.A. Barne: In this novel, a spaceship crew boards a luxury spaceship that was reported lost 20 years ago, only to find the nightmare hasn’t ended. Goodreads describes this book as “Titanic meets The Shining,” and I feel like that’s enough to convince anyone to read this.
Adams 101 series: Adams 101 is a collection of 42 books that are a beginner’s guide to a variety of topics such as psychology, genetics, history, philosophy, etc.
1984 by George Orwell: A classic dystopian novel that follows Winston Smith, who works for the Ministry of Truth and is starting to question the system he works for.

Back in Boston, their twisted bond intensifies as they plot the death of his wife, but Lily is keeping some secrets.
Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau: A coming-of-age novel in 1970’s Baltimore that follows 14-year-old Mary Jane. She comes from a strict household where she cooks, cleans, goes to church, reads, and listens to Broadway show tunes with her family. This is a series, and all the books are on Kindle Unlimited.
My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell: As allegations are made against the teacher Vanessa was involved with when she was 15, she is struggling to accept that she was sexually abused. Check trigger warnings before reading.
The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty: My absolute favorite series. Nahri is a con woman in 18th-century Egypt who doesn’t believe in magic. When she accidentally summons a djinn during a fake ceremony, she is swept away into a magical world where she is forced to face the reality that magic is real.

A Talent for Murder | Peter Swanson | Published 2024
A newylwed librarian begins to suspect the man she married might be a murderer - in this spectacularly twisty and devious clever novel by Peter Swanson, NYT bestselling author of The Kind Worth Killing and Eight Perfect Murders.
Martha Ratliff concede long ago that she'd likely spend her life alone. She was fine with it, happy with her solo existence, simulated by her job as an archival librarian, constantly surrounded by thought-provoking ideas and the books she loved. But then she met Alan, a charming and sweet-natured divorcee with a job that took him on the road for half the year. When he asked her to marry him, she said yes, even though he still felt a little bit like a stranger.
A year in and the marriage was good, except for that strange blood streak on the back of one of his shirt's he'd worn to a conference in Denver. Her curiosity turning to suspicion, Martha investigates the cities Alan visited over the past year and uncovers a disturbing pattern - five unsolved cases of murdered women.
Is she married to a serial killer? Or could it merely be a coincidence? Unsure what to think, Martha contacts an old friend from graduate school for advice. Lily Kintner once helped Martha out of a jam with an abusive boyfriend and mary have some insight. Intrigued, Lily offers to meet Alan to find out what kidn of man he really is...but what Lily uncovers is more perplexing and wicked than they ever could have expected.
Lily Kintner is back, this time reuniting with a friend from grad school that she hasn't seen in quite some time. Martha is a quiet librarian, who spent the majority of her life believing that she had a "love curse" and that she would remain alone and unmarried for the rest of her life. It wasn't until Martha met a traveling salesman named Alan.
Alan spent the majority of his time traveling to teacher conferences and conventions around the country, selling graphic t-shirts, ties and other assorted items that would relate to teachers. Martha becomes suspicious of Alan when, to her, it appears that he has to rehearse to get back into his own life when he returns home from the conferences. Martha is able to discern that several woman were involved in unsolved homicides in the same cities that Alan had just been in.
Martha begins to question whether or not Alan is involved, and this is when she recruits Lily's help. Back in grad school, Lily had helped Martha get out of a potentially dangerous situation with an adjunct professor named Ethan Saltz, who called her "his project" and got her involved in various sexual scenarios that Martha hadn't truly been comfortable with. But shortly after that, the two of them lost contact and haven't spoken.
Lily agrees to help, and follows Alan to a convention taking place in Saratoga Springs, New York. She begins to watch him closely, waiting to see if anything bad would happen. But, Lily realizes that she isn't the only one keeping a close eye on Alan. The other person is none other than Ethan Saltz.
For the last 15 years, Ethan has kept a relatively quiet existence, however, he has also killed 26 people since the time he was 11 years old, his first victim having been his grandfather and his latest victim was Martha herself. After he and Lily had a brief confrontation, Ethan drove to her home and slit her throat, effectively ending her life.
Once Ethan had realized that Martha had married someone, he began to come up with schemes to get revenge for Martha having left him, believing her to be the one that got away (and by this, I believe he means the one he couldn't murder).
He began stalking Alan, and would murder the woman that Alan had previously had some sort of interaction with, more than likely not a sexual encounter. After a few times of this, Ethan began to get bored and was attempting to leave clues in order to bring Alan into the spotlight, but the police never questioned him, and it went unnoticed until Martha found a bloody finger print on the back of one of Alan's t-shirts when she was going to do laundry.
Lily enlists the help of Henry Kimball, once again, and they begin to work out who Ethan has become today. Lily is able to come up with a potential name, and gives that information to Henry but not before Ethan locates her and kidnaps her, taking her to a property that he owns until one of his assumed names, Brad Anderson. He intends to keep her alive as long as possible, but when Henry begins questioning Ethan's partner at an art gallery that he owns until the name Robert Chornack, he knows that he needs to get rid of Lily once and for all.
When he returns, he finds Lily, assumed to be dead due to the amount of blood around her neck, but instead, she inflicted herself with an injury producing enough blood to make Ethan believe that she was dead, instead, allowing him to get close enough to her to pierce his carotid arterty with a nail she produced from the wall.
With Henry's help, the two of them are able to hide Ethan's body inside an empty pantry in the basement of the property, fully knowing that at some point, his body would be found, but he would not receive the notoriety he was hoping for.
In the end, Lily notes that of the victims that Ethan had murdered in his many years spree, Josie Nixon, the victim from Shepaug who had fallen from a sixth floor balcony and was ruled a suicide, was actually a victim of Alan's, just like Martha had initially thought.
Lily is able to locate him at a convention in Ann Arbor, Michiga, and she kills him, knowing that he was the true culprit behind Josie's murder and she knew that if he could do it one time, he could do it again.

The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
A devious tale of psychological suspense involving sex, deception, and an accidental encounter that leads to murder. Fans of Paula Hawkins’ The Girl on the Train will love this modern reimagining of Patricia Highsmith’s classic Strangers on a Train from the author of the acclaimed The Girl with a Clock for a Heart—which the Washington Post said “should be a contender for crime fiction’s best first novel of 2014.” On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that’s going stale and his wife Miranda, who he’s sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start—he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit—a contrast that once inflamed their passion, but has now become a cliché. But their game turns a little darker when Ted jokes that he could kill Miranda for what she’s done. Lily, without missing a beat, says calmly, “I’d like to help.” After all, some people are the kind worth killing, like a lying, stinking, cheating spouse. . . . Back in Boston, Ted and Lily’s twisted bond grows stronger as they begin to plot Miranda's demise. But there are a few things about Lily’s past that she hasn’t shared with Ted, namely her experience in the art and craft of murder, a journey that began in her very precocious youth. Suddenly these co-conspirators are embroiled in a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, one they both cannot survive . . . with a shrewd and very determined detective on their tail.

#okudumbitti Bu kitabı okumadan, ismini, yazarını ve baş karakter Lily' i beynime yerleştiren deli arkadaşlarıma sevgiler😂. Bir türlü arayıpta bulamadığım kitabı, pdf olarak bulunca, kitaba balıklama atlayıp hemen okumamda bu delilerin etkisi büyük😁. The Kind Worth Killing | Peter Swanson | Published 2015
On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion, but has now become a cliche.
But their game turns a little darker when Ted jokes that he could kill Miranda for what she's done. Lily, without missing a beat, says calmly, "I'd like to help." After all, some people are the kind worth killing, like a lying, stinking, cheating spouse...
Back in Boston, Ted and Lily's twisted bond grows stronger as they begin to plot Miranda's demise. But there are a few things about Lily's past that she hasn't shared with Ted, namely her experience in the art and craft of murder, a journey that began in her very precocious youth.
Suddenly these co-conspirators are embroiled in a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, one they both cannot survive...with a shrewd and very determined detective on their tail.
In part 1, the rules of airport bars, Ted Severson meets the gorgeous and mysterious Lily Kintner. After a jovial conversation over martinis in the bar, they find themselves on the same flight from Heathrow Airport in London to Logan Airport in Boston. The entire flight is what Lily considers a game of truth, where the both of them are unable to lie to each other.
Ted confesses that his wife Miranda has been cheating on him with their general contractor, Brad, the man responsible for building their large manse on the Maine coast. Miranda spends the majority of her time staying in an inn nearby the house so she can play a role in every aspect of the build, while Ted remains in the city working. He tells Lily that he became suspicious of the pair when he caught them sharing a cigarette inside the confines of his home, and they looked a bit to familiar. Despite them giving no red flags when he made his presence known, he later returned and watched them having sex in what would become the couples dining room based off of his suspicions.
Lily claims that he is able to help Ted, help him get rid of his wife and subsequently Brad. After returning to Boston, they agree to meet a few days later in a neighboring suburb to further their plans. Ted is to spend a week in Maine with Miranda, learning everything he can about everything and to report back to Lily, which he does. Their plan is forming.
For Lily, this won't be the first time she has delved into the world of murdering. When she was 13 years old, she murdered her first, a man named Chet, who lived in the studio about an abandoned farmhouse on his family's property in Connecticut. Chet attempted to rape her on several occasions, and Lily, baiting him into following her into a meadow on the property, pushed him down into a well, where she planned to cover up his body, but on the way down, he ended up breaking his neck.
Her second murder was that of her long-term boyfriend, Eric. They met in college at Mather. Eric began inviting Lily to exclusive parties at his society's house, where he was the president. At the time, Eric was in a relationship with a girl named Faith, but their relationship ended and at the beginning of the schoolyear, they began their exclusive relationship. At the end of the year, Eric was graduating and accepting a job in New York City while Lily was returning to her hometown before going to study abroad in London in the fall.
For the time being, Eric was staying in the city through the week and taking the train to CT on the weekends. But, after meeting up with her father in the city for lunch one day, Lily found Eric with none other than Faith, who had even changed her hair color to match Lily's, and she knew then that Eric had been deceiving one or both of them. With Eric's visit to London on the horizon, she comes up with a plan to murder him as well, and get away with it once again. After getting fairly intoxicated during a beer challenge at a local pub, Eric returned to Lily's flat and began eating an Indian dish she had picked up...that had peanuts in it. Eric was deathly allergic, and knowing this, Lily hid his epipens that she found in his suitcase. There was never any question what happened, and Lily was free to go on about her life.
But what Lily didn't bank on was Brad and Miranda's plan to murder Ted with the intention of getting a hold of his millions.
In part 2, Lily discovers the news about Ted's untimely death, and realized that while they had been planning Miranda's death, she and Brad had been planning on Ted's. They just beat them to the punch. Secure in her know that nothing incriminating could come back and bite her in the ass, she tries to go on about her life.
But, Lily's curiosity gets the better of her and she begins investigating on her own, even going up to Maine and staying in the same inn that Miranda would reside in for several weeks at a time. But, she quickly realizes that she is becoming too intertwined but she can't help herself.
She finds herself meeting Brad, the very man she knows is responsible for the murder of Ted. After speaking with him, Miranda realizes that LIly also knows everything, and the two of them quickly come up with a plan to get rid of her, like Lily was trying to plan with Brad to get rid of Miranda.
When the two former rivals, as Miranda IS the faith she knew in college, Lily wants her to think that she is blackmailing her but what Miranda doesn't know is that the entire time she and Brad had been scheming, so were Lily and Brad, and Brad kills Miranda. Thinking they once again got away with murder, Lily drugs Brad and kills him, taking him back to her parents property, dumping his body in the well along with Chet's.
Confident her plan is going without a hitch, she gets back to normal life. But, her plans are quickly thwarted by a Detective Henry Kimball, who has been investigating the death of Ted, and is now involved with Miranda's death and Brad's disappearance.
He wants to believe that something is going on with Lily but can't quite figure it out. But he also finds himself attracted to Lily, and begins watching her outside of the police department. Despite Lily giving him no reason to continue with his surveillance other than his attraction, he follows her to Concord. He locates her, and once he thinks that she has moved on from the cemetery where she had once met Ted, he is shocked to find Lily sneaking up on him...where she stabs him in the chest, close to the heart.
But to Lily's dismay, this interaction was caught by Kimball partner, Roberta James. She is arrested and is being held in jail for attempted murder. Kimball survives the stabbing, and Lily's bail is withheld. With her court appointed lawyer, they believe that they'll be able to get Lily some sort of reduced sentence, if a sentence at all, due to incriminating evidence that Kimball was found with, such as poems written about Lily in a vulgar manner.
But, during their interaction in the stabbing, Lily told Kimball she was sorry prior to stabbing him, effectually telling the police that she knew what was happening when she did it.
However, Lily's life may be about to get worse. She receives a letter from her father stating that the farmhouse where Chet once resided has been sold and the property is being repurposed, and in doing so, the meadow in which Chet and now Brad's bodies are hidden inside the well are about to be upturned.
