G3nshin players never beating the not playing the game allegations
#I keep seeing twt discourses n omg it getting so annoying cuz u can tell how many ppl don't got critical thinking/#Failed media literacy with their hot takes or 'gotcha' takes#Fanon rotting the brain so bad u take it as canon despite not being able to remember what canon was (which isn't bad but being so bold to#Argue somebody sourcing their argument while you use random comment on a tiktok vid of somebody going 'trust me bro' is insane)#Idk what f0ntaine done to make certain group of player suddenly have no thought in their heads but it like rlly bad#Like first implying n3uvill3tt3 does not care at all about fur14 is insane when u got him tuning traveller out n then him implicitly being#'i really really don't want to hurt her can we not hurt during this plan' moment with everybody n then closing his eyes cuz he couldn't bar#To see fur14 cry n then when saving f0ntaine he obviously was thinking about fur14 sacrifice n started crying in that cutscene#It one thing to argue fur14 doesn't like neuv but it another to say he doesn't like her#N even fur14 doesn't hold a candle if u have her n done the events she n neuv r in it obv she doesn't hate him lmao#Like u gotta be blind n deaf while playing the game to not see she has forgave him like n4v14 n clor1ne#U know who she hasn't forgave tho? arl3 :)#New twt g3nshin discourse r shippers going how is arl3fur1 toxic n not the new archon n c4ptain0#N I just omg OMG#I know ship wars r a thing but typically I don't care but seeing a take going like#'so arl3 attacks fur1 n that bad but c4ptain0 attacks m4vu but that not toxic 🤨..' I just felt my head explode omg#WHERE THE MEDIA LITERACY OML#it literally in fur1 voice line about the kn4v3 that she hopes to forget her n arl3 did attempt a murder on a fur1 who at the time had no#Powers!!! It not the same as what happen in n4tl4n!!#Also what with trying to imply m4vu is weaker than c4ptain0 since she a woman 🤨🫵 don't get mad that Ur ship heavily relies on fanon n#That the het ship has a more equal footing with each other#Crazy thing is I Def like canon arl3fur1 better than other ship just cuz I find the other boring but omg OMG#What w declawing the ship just cuz u don't like it being toxic or the fact one part of said ship has a negative opinion of the other...#That what makes the ship so interesting!!! That despite the effort arf3 may try to reassure fur1 she forever scarred by that moment orz#There multiple non toxic wlw ship u can have if shipping a toxic ship is too much but don't fall into sexist thinking cuz a het ship#Has a more healthy/equal canon dynamic#I'm ranting but seeing a take implying that m4vu is inherently weaker than c4ptain0 CUZ SHE A WOMAN???? CRAZY INSANE idk what type of rotte#Brain but there definitely maggots in you noggin#M4vu not cowering at the sight of c4ptain0 nor is she unwilling to fight him hell she wish she could have fought him while they both were i#Their prime... Imagine thinking like an incel cuz Ur ship is more toxic than another <o>

🔪Alphys
🔪 - have a horror movie marathon
I changed this to horror game now because my city now I don’t know anything about horror movies. So they’re playing FNAF 1 and... well... it doesn’t really last long enough to be a marathon. But they’re trying their hardest!
“So what are we playing tonight?”
Alphys looked up from the games cabinet furtively. “U-undyne! You’re home! U-um, I w-was going to play a horror g-game, but I suppose I could, um--”
“Are you suggesting I’m too chicken?
“N-n-n-no, I, um, I--”
“Come on, boot it up!”
Alphys started to sweat nervously. “L-look, this game is supposed t-to be really scary. I d-d-don’t--”
“Hell yeah! Come on, I’m not scared!”
“Oh, a-alright. D-don’t say I d-d-didn’t warn you!”
Undyne pushed the couch over in front of Alphys’ gaming computer and flopped on it. She blinked a little as Alphys turned off the lights. “Why’d you--”
Alphys looked a little creepy in the light of the monitor, with the static reflected in her glasses. “I-immersion, Undyne. W-we gotta d-do this right.” She sat so that she was directly in front of the screen, with Undyne at her left side so she could see, and cracked her scaly knuckles before taking up the mouse and clicking new game.
Undyne’s eye got wide. “What the hell is that bear thing?”
“P-probably Freddy? I d-d-don’t know anything a-about this game, I’m g-going in blind.”
“He’s creepy. I don’t like him.”
Alphys grinned slightly. “T-that is l-literally the only point of the game.”
“Oh.”
“That p-poster is n-not making me want to celebrate.”
Undyne slid her hand into Alphys’ as the phone rang. Methodically, Alphys clicked everything--putting the doors down and up, turning the lights on and off, clicking through the cameras, all while listening intently. The tip of her tongue poked out of her mouth as she appeared deep in thought. Hearing the phone call turn to the topic of death, she jumped a little, biting her tongue by accident. “OW!”
She turned her head and saw that Undyne was blinking rapidly, a sure sign that she was scared. She squeezed her hand gently, careful not to poke Undyne with her claws.
The next noise that came out of the frightened pair was nearly loud enough to make Alphys deaf--Undyne shouted “eyeballs and teeth?!” loud enough to wake the dead. She said something after about only having the one eye to spare, but Alphys could hardly focus on it, listening desperately for a hint on how to avoid that fate.
A shiver wracked her, bringing with it the image of cracked glasses and big flat teeth loose in the mouth of one of those razor-toothed robots, but she forced it down. She slammed both doors shut before pulling up the cameras again. She could feel her scales bristling slightly--if someone brushed a hand over them like this, they would feel the sharp edges lizard monsters had evolved over years slightly raised, giving them the feeling of sharkskin.
She stopped her search almost immediately--that razor-toothed duck-bird-thing was staring into the camera with its mouth open wide, and Undyne shrieked. “That was definitely not there before!” She raced behind the couch, seeking refuge from the jumpscare.
She fought down her panic. “I know, I know! H-how do we get rid of it, how do we--fifty-one percent power left? Alright, focus, focus, f-focus. Cameras down. D-doors up. Lights… lights. How long can we wait before we put the doors back down?”
Undyne’s hand gripped her shoulder shakily. “Put em down now, Alphy. I don’t want to be eaten by that--that thing.”
“It’s only t-three AM! W-we can’t afford t-to waste our power.”
“How are you so calm? At least--at least keep an eye on it!”
Alphys shut the doors and looked at it again. “Yup. S-still there.” She shivered involuntarily and immediately rued the action--how was she so scared so quickly?
“Are there others? Should we check the others?”
Alphys clicked through the cameras.
“Was that curtain open befo--DID YOU HEAR THAT?” Her shaking hand found a vice grip on Alphys’ arm as Alphys pulled down the cameras.
“It’s p-pounding on the door. That’s. Um, that’s a l-lot of power loss--oh no.”
With the power out in the game, the room was dark except for glowing eyes, and silent except for Undyne’s heavy breathing and the soft sounds of something like a music box playing a jingle. Then, suddenly, the jingle cut off, and the jumpscare screamed out at them. Undyne yelled several octaves higher than her usual deep alto, and Alphys fell backwards off the couch entirely (luckily landing in Undyne’s arms). Staring at the game over screen in horror, Undyne clung to her as they tried to calm their breathing.
“What the hell was that?!”
“U-um, m-maybe we f-forgot about one of the electronics? I d-don’t t-think, that’s, um, that’s the Freddy. Maybe i-it’s the chicken one?”
“How are you so calm about it? Fuhuhu. Man, I thought I was the brave one.”
“Eheh...heh. L-let’s, um, t-turn the l-l-lights on.”
Undyne scooped her up and carried her over to the light switch, unwilling to let go. Alphys buried her face in Undyne’s chest, grateful for the excuse to hide it. She hated letting the brave and confident face she’d been working on slip--it felt like an insult to Papyrus not to be better already, and that, to her, meant not being scared of anything, not even big scary robots with gross teeth that crushed your body and spit out your eyeballs.
“Alphy?”
Alphys nodded slightly.
“You alright?”
She nodded again.
“It’s ok if you’re scared, you know. I know it’s supposed to be just a game, but it’s okay if you get scared, dude. I mean, look at me. I’m the toughest monster in the Underground and I screamed like Papyrus seeing a sock! Fuhuhu, that really was scary.”
“ ‘M not scared. J-just startled.” Her tail said differently--it quivered and wrapped around Undyne’s waist as she tried to stop it lashing in fear. It was a gesture she’d picked up from Catty, and she hated it--it was one of her worst tells, and she was always knocking things over besides.
Undyne kissed the top of Alphys’ head. “Oh, Alphy. C’mon, babe, you don’t have to act all tough. How’s’about we snuggle up and wind down for bed with some pokemon? I think we need a change of pace.”
Alphys couldn’t argue with that, so the two of them headed for the bedroom. Alphys put on the anime, starting from the very beginning and the episodes she could practically recite because she had them underground, while Undyne prepared two steaming cups (hot carob for Alphys, and golden flower tea for her) and brought them in with cookies.
“W-well, I think that’s enough s-spooky for one season,” Alphys mumbled into her drink.
Undyne hugged her tight. “I think I like the cozy better, anyway.”
