What makes me so positively tickled by one-way broadcast/radiosilence is the idea that Vox shot his shot, Alastor rejected him, but since neither of them can be normal, both decided to ramp up what seems to be a cordial business relationship into an overdramatic rivalry that spans the breadth of a city. This is nothing new, everyone & their mother has pointed it out, but it makes me kick my feet about it. Their candle of a partnership flamed out into a bonfire. And the best part?? this is not insignificantly motivated by the views & listens it gets them. Their bad relationship is stuck in the Pain Vortex & will never, ever be mended because it is, diegetically, funny to watch.
And this? This is largely supported by the canon. No “completely business-only feelings about my best boy bestie” has ever torn a photo of you two in half and used it for butcher knife target practice.

hii! could u separate headcanons for Husk and Vox x Male Overlord! Reader who is kind and sweet but has anger issues? love your writing!
Of course! I didn't go too in depth with the Overlord part simply bc I had no idea what powers they'd have - could edit these so they're more specific ^^

Husk / Vox x Overlord! Reader with Anger Issues
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Husk
✦ Husk appreciates your kind nature; it’s really admirable how you always try to be sweet to everyone, even to people he wouldn’t be able to be that way with. Especially with you being an Overlord, this is quite the rare attribute.
✦ He also loves when your kindness is directed towards him; even though he doesn’t really like to admit it, he’s a bit lazy, so any act of service is greatly appreciated. Also, after a tiring day of tending to the bar and listening to other demons’ worries and struggles, he really needs someone who’s willing to lend a listening ear to him in return, and you’re usually the first individual who’s willing to do that.
✦ Sometimes though, and Husk knows this, anger gets the best of you.
✦ The first time this happens, he’s taken aback: kind words are replaced with spewed insults and sarcasm over things that he considers small or petty; he might even try to hold you back if you try to get physical or break something over whatever’s happening, enraging you even more.
✦ When your anger subsides a little and all you’re left with are anxious feelings, you break down and tell him that this is ‘the real you’, and confess to struggling with anger issues. Expecting him to be afraid and leave you, you’re surprised when he reassuringly pats your back and tells you that he gets it, everyone feels angry sometimes, it’s not something you need to feel guilty over.
✦ Being a very calm individual in general, Husk understands that the worst thing he could do would be to lash out in response to your own anger. Instead he gives you all the space that you need and tries to understand what your triggers are so he can avoid angering you himself.
✦ He’s also aware that he shouldn’t be expected to fix your anger issues and he is in no place to be trying to do so, so the best he can do is stay calm when you’re angry and offer you comfort when you calm down.
✦ He absolutely refuses to make you alcoholic drinks, especially when you’re not in a good mood. Alcohol is known to impair cognitive function, and he doesn’t want to be a partial reason as to why you get angry. He tries to bring this up in a moment where you’re calm and relaxed so you can understand his reasoning. Instead he mixes you non-alcoholic drinks and he’s willing to make you a simple tea or infusion to help with the nerves.
✦ Overall, unlike other demons, Husk is not really afraid of you despite you being a powerful Overlord who could destroy several things in one snap of your fingers. If you do end up making use of your powers though, it’s going to be harder for Husk to try and hold you back or get some sense into you.
Tumblr media
Vox
✰ Vox surprisingly has the ability to stay calm in most situations; as seen in the series, he doesn’t get upset when his phone gets thrown against the wall and ends up broken or when others around him are angry.
✰ So, when it comes to you having anger issues, he doesn’t have much of a reaction. He’s not scared of you being an Overlord, besides he can defend himself very well if needed.
✰  At first he might make the mistake of using his acoustokinesis if you’re straight up yelling at him, to get some sense into you, but, when he realizes it’s very much like yelling back, he’ll stop and give you space to rant instead.
✰ He might even excuse himself for a while until you’ve calmed down if it gets really bad, and come back later to comfort you the best way that he can. Sometimes breaks and time alone can be very helpful when it comes to anger, they give us time to think and come up with a better solution that isn’t yelling or mistreating things.
✰ Vox also knows that your anger doesn’t really define you, and that you’re actually a really pleasant individual to have around; your kindness and sweetness are a much appreciates breath of fresh air at the V tower, you’re usually the one dealing with other demons’ problems and trying to help everyone.
✰ You’ve also tried multiple times to help Vox with matters regarding Alastor, but he reassured you that he could deal with it on his own or get somebody else to help.
✰ He’s also grateful for smaller things, like how you always tell him if there’s something on his screen or how you’ve helped him several times to tend to his aquarium. Your kindness really isn’t a quality to be ignored, especially when you’re surrounded by people like Valentino.
✰ You actually have helped Vox calm down after certain situations as well; he might be well mannered around others and able to keep a straight face at most things, but he does get irritated as well, so who can give him better advice than a person who deals with anger on almost a daily basis, really?
✰ It’s also very validating when you seek each other’s comfort; one of you will be ranting, and the other will agree that whatever thing you’re talking about was very annoying.

elaboration on the Crystal King Lloyd au bc I'm bored as fuck
(I’m sorry this is so long I never learnt how to shut the fuck up)
Everything is the same up until the building collapses under Harumi in s9. She miraculously survives, although is injured, and having just relived her greatest trauma her first reaction is to call for help. When nobody comes, she gets herself together and manages to escape on her own, running away and hiding. She watches the final battle between father and son from afar and starts planning her revenge after Lloyd's victory.
Of course there's the pressing question: how could one even defeat the Green Ninja? After all, he fought off not just Garmadon but the rest of the Oni and then later Aspheera, a powerful sorceress - so if they are no match for him, what could be? Harumi realizes the greatest strength of the ninja are their elemental powers and therefore their biggest weakness is losing them (as evidenced by Kai's reaction to getting his fire power stripped away).
But the only thing that could nullify elemental power is vengestone, something that is hard to come by. She searches night and day until she comes across the Kingdom of Shintaro, where she goes on to negotiate a deal with King Vangelis - she is still technically the Jade Princess, having inherited all of her parents’ wealth, so money isn't exactly an issue. She also contacts the Mechanic, asking him to build a robot army from the vengestone, something he is more than happy to help with.
But of course, first the Mechanic has to run after the events with Prime Empire and then later the ninja come and defeat Vangelis, putting a stop to the operation. The army is not nearly big enough to be a threat to the ninja, the few robots that have already been built are barely functional, and Harumi might be good at planning but she is no technician to finish the job herself.
Harumi retreats for a while, trying to come up with ideas that haven't already failed under other villains' hands. She watches the ninja fight Kalmaar and Wojira and then Nya leave to be one with the ocean, and that’s when it strikes her. Although their powers are their greatest strength, it is also their greatest weakness – and Lloyd is partially Oni, after all, so what if instead of searching for ways to defeat the Green Ninja, she could turn his own heritage against him? What if instead of pushing Lloyd, the hero, down to the ground, she could raise Lloyd, the villain, to the top?
And it’s not like Lloyd doesn’t have the seeds of villainy in him either. He used to want to be just like his father, and although he claims to have grown out of that mindset, he did leave Harumi to die under that collapsed building.
Then comes s15 blah blah Harumi collects the cock Council of the Crystal King blah blah Lloyd comes and gets captured. He keeps telling Harumi that she doesn’t have to do this and it’s not too late to turn back (thinking that Harumi is trying to resurrect the Overlord idk I haven’t thought about this too much) to which Harumi replies well, you don't have to be a good guy either. You don't have to sacrifice every part of your life to the people who don't even have an ounce of respect for the work you do and the effort you put into it. After all, they did throw you into jail even though you were only trying to help your friend, didn't they?
And Lloyd obviously tries to disagree but Harumi doesn’t stop. She brings up all the things Lloyd has lost to being the Green Ninja, his childhood, his innocence, his father, his friends (multiple times, welcome to Ninjago where death is meaningless but just as traumatizing) – the list could go on and on. So when Lloyd finally does manage to escape, he keeps thinking about how much being the Green Ninja is a burden and how deeply he does indeed wish he was never chosen for this job.
They still go get Garmadon (even though the Overlord doesn’t return in this au – as I said I haven’t thought everything through) and Lloyd still gets Oni training to combat the Vengestone Army, but now Garmadon’s words of focusing on his anger mix with Harumi’s insights. So when failed attempt after failed attempt they are still losing and Lloyd can feel the frustration in his friends and all of Ninjago is counting on him – something breaks in him. He never asked for this, he never asked to be the hero and savior of the world! He never asked for his childhood to be taken away (even though it was technically his choice, but he was a kid how could he have known to make the good decision?), he never asked to be in constant battle with villains where every victory only means an opportunity for another evil to rise in their place!
Finally out of ideas, Lloyd gives in to the despair the husk of his father has been advising to weaponize. Maybe all this hero talk and doing the right thing isn’t enough to defeat the enemy. Maybe Garmadon was right when he said that the only way to protect Ninjago from the Oni was to allow him to take over the city.
Maybe the way of defeating the villains isn’t to be the hero, but to be the greater bad. And nothing is worse than an Oni at its full power.
Lloyd, finally having had enough with the world constantly throwing shit at his face, lets go of all the morals that have been holding him back. In his place emerges the Crystal King, embodiment of hatred and loss, an undefeatable foe of both Oni and Dragon powers – with Harumi, a friend who he once trusted and cared for, as his right hand and closest advisor. She did make him realize the truth of his situation, after all.

Skyrim/KH Crossover
-- idk if I’m imagining this as Skyrim being a ‘level’ in a KH game or a more realistic treatment in a novel-length fanfic (as in, a medium where enough attention can be paid to both the mechanics and lore of KH as well as Tamriel, bc just a ‘Skyrim level’ would leave out SO MUCH)
-- where would the keyhole of the Tamriel world/Mundus be? At the Monahven/Throat of the World, the tallest mountain on the continent? At the Temple of the One in the Imperial City, where Martin’s giant dragon body remains petrified? At the Red Mountain? At the White-Gold Tower? At any of the other towers holding up the sky? Would it be the Heart of Lorkhan itself??? So many possibilities. (If the Keyhole of Mundus is the Heart of Lorkhan, what happens when it is destroyed? Can the Keyhole of a world even be destroyed??? Maybe that’s what is allowing the Heartless in.)
-- we have a Heartless Crisis to match the Oblivion Crisis
-- everyone would assume Donald and Goofy are some sort of low-level daedra. Goofy might be a particularly ugly scamp. No one would blink at their existence and intelligence/speech capabilities, but they would be surprised at their lack of instant hostility. Everyone assumes Sora is a nasty conjurer despite his non-evil appearance and his friendliness. The Vigiliants of Stendarr attack him on sight for consorting with daedra
-- similarly, Sora wouldn’t blink at the existence of Khajiit (cat people of varying shapes and sizes) or Argonians (lizard people)
-- when Sora learns that the Dragonborn emperors/Septims kept Mundus safe from the planes of Oblivion with their very lives, he likens them to the Princesses of Heart.
-- THAT’S RIGHT. MARTIN SEPTIM NOW COUNTS AS A DISNEY PRINCESS. I DEMAND FANART OF THIS.
-- Kairi and Martin Septim discussing their Dragonborn Emperor/Princess of Heart duties and commiserating about how secretly terrifying they find it that the entire world is depending on them to keep the darkness at bay
-- Maleficent attempts to kidnap a Dragonborn for the plot of KH1, like why bother collecting seven princesses who collectively hold off the Realm of Darkness when you could just snag this one person and be done with it
-- the Dragonborn defeats her lackies without breaking a sweat; Maleficent shows up herself and goes All Scaled Up, thinking this will intimidate her target. The Dragonborn is like, “Hey, look, breakfast. Sweet.”
-- Sora has Maleficent flashbacks. When he learns that the Dragonborn has the soul of a dragon, he asks, “Can you turn into a dragon, too?” Dragonborn: “Sadly, no.”
-- DRAGONBONE KEYBLADE. DAEDRIC KEYBLADE. WHERE IS THE CONCEPT ART OF THIS. SOMEONE DRAW IT QUICK. The Dragonbone keyblade is super-hard to obtain (you probably have to befriend a dragon for this, either Odahviing or Durnehviir) but has the highest strength stat. The Daedric keyblade is evil-looking like Chaos Ripper or something with its black and red scheme and pointiness, but it has high strength and magic stats. You probably get it for entering a plane of Oblivion or running an errand for a Daedric Prince or something
-- Dragonbone axe and Daedric axe, upon which the keyblades would be based:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-- the Dark Brotherhood embrace darkness because of Sithis, of course. They might try to command the Heartless because of this, and maybe even succeed. Perhaps they involve the Heartless in their assassinations. Xehanort could possibly talk some of them into becoming potential Norts
-- the mages start testing spells on Heartless and Nobodies; Repel Undead and Detect Undead work on the Heartless, while Nobodies are sensed through the Detect Life spell. Lay down a Bane of the Undead spell and watch the Heartless die in shiny golden streams and sparkles. The Dawnguard is super-prepared to deal with the Heartless Crisis thanks to their offensive restoration spells. They’re less intelligent than vampires, after all, and once you’ve dealt with freaky vampire lords trying to kill the sun some other type of undead critter also trying to turn you into an undead critter is ho-hum
-- Sora is very enthusiastic about learning the Thu’um until he learns it takes years and years to master (unless you’re Dragonborn, of course). The Greybeards are like, “Why is this kid on our porch?” Sora could train in the Way of the Voice by Fus Ro Dah’ing some boxes. XD Paarthurnax recognizes Sora as a traveler from another world and is the one to actually explain what’s going on to him.
-- Dawnbreaker is super-effective against the Heartless; Meridia as a staunch opponent of undead in all forms launches a campaign against them. Skyrim doesn’t kill Heartless with sparkles; it kills them with GIANT FIERY EXPLOSIONS THAT SEND UNDEAD FLEEING WHILE ON FIRE
-- Arkay’s Law prevents the corpses of the dead from being used in necromantic rituals (Arkay being the god of death and burials); what effect would it have on Heartless and Nobodies? Maybe the blessing obtained at Arkay’s shrine temporarily prevents one’s heart from being torn out by Heartless?
-- is Alduin in league with the Heartless, or does he oppose them because HE’S supposed to be the World-Devourer, not these upstart scraps of darkness? lol imagine if Skyrim welcomed the dragons as their new overlords because the dragons protected them from the Heartless. Or vice versa
-- Sora getting tricked into using his Keyblade (which in Mundus can create portals to Oblivion and back) to let Miraak out of Apocrypha. An Apocrypha-themed Keyblade made out of green tentacles and ratty old books with a really high magic stat
-- A DWEMER KEYBLADE. Bc let’s face it the Dwemer would totally have been researching Kingdom Hearts and all related topics if it were available. This keyblade would be super cool. It’d look sort of like the battleaxe but with more teeth at the end for a more key-like appearance:
Tumblr media
-- Sora spots the Dwemer animunculi and freaks out because he assumes they’re all as boss as the Lingering Will (spoiler: not even a Dwemer Centurion is as badass as the Lingering Will)
-- at first glance, Sora assumes the Falmer are lesser Nobodies
----- OH MY GOSH NO WAIT THAT PERFECTLY EXPLAINS THE FALMER ACTUALLY. THEY WERE SNOW ELVES ONCE BUT THE DWEMER DID SOMETHING TO THEM THAT CHANGED THEIR VERY SOULS FROM SENTIENT TO NON-SENTIENT. THE DWEMER RIPPED OUT THE SNOW ELVES’ HEARTS AND ENSLAVED THE RESULTING NOBODIES, WHILE ALSO USING THEIR EXTRACTED HEARTS TO POWER THEIR ANIMUNCULI
Tumblr media
-- Sora running from bears
-- the Companions go on Heartless-slaying quests with the same nonchalance they go out to kill bears and saber-tooth cats
-- Dragon priests command Heartless alongside draugr; you’re innocently traveling through an ancient Nordic ruin when you spot not only glowing blue draugr eyes peering at you out of the darkness but also glowing yellow Heartless eyes
Tumblr media
(I just love that gif so much I’m sorry)
-- the Dragonborn as a super-awesome bonus party member. ALTERNATIVELY, Martin Septim serves as a spirit adviser. OR the Nerevarine returns from traveling in Akavir only to find the Heartless Crisis ongoing and ends up traveling with Sora and co. OR Sora is guided by the Aedra/Daedra of your choice
-- Paarthurnax is like the Yen Sid of Tamriel. They probably know each other (as they say in A:TLA, all old people know each other). Paarthurnax has probably met the time-traveling Xehanort before. Paarthurnax has seen a lot of things. He has yet to be fazed.
-- Dream Eater Riku has powers similar to a Vaermina priest. He can enter people’s memories/dreams and use them to travel distances in the real world without using Vaermina’s Torpor. The Vigilants of Stendarr ALSO attack him on sight when they see this.
-- Riku can enter the Soul Cairn without needed to be partially soul-trapped or turned into a vampire, because of his immunity to the darkness. The Ideal Masters are easy to deal with once you’ve had Xehanort sitting in your heart trying to Nortify your soul
-- Riku gains Arvak as a Dream Eater
-- Durnehviir can use the power of darkness because he has become accustomed to life in the Soul Cairn, just like Riku has been immersed in darkness so much it can no longer consume him. Imagine: Riku being able to summon Durnehviir. Riku defeating the Reaper and the Keepers.
-- where is Terra’s heart, you ask? The truth is now revealed: IN THE SOUL CAIRN
-- plot twist: Aqua is also in the Soul Cairn
-- actually, the Soul Cairn could be pretty accurately compared to the Realm of Darkness. Or maybe the Realm of Darkness is Oblivion itself instead of just one of its planes
-- if Alduin can swallow a world/end a kalpa, is this equivalent to a world falling into darkness? As the son/alternate personality/split being of one of the creator gods, can he also (help) remake the world? Is Alduin aligned with the darkness or the light? the world may never know
-- Alduin and/or Paarthurnax and/or Odahviing and/or Durnehviir against Xemnas’s weird dragon thing
-- Xehanort attempts to Nort the Dragonborn, only to find that numerous other dragon souls are ALREADY in the Dragonborn’s heart. The Dragonborn EATS dragon souls for breakfast. Remember that post about Xehanort actually reaching Sora’s heart only to find Ventus, Roxas, Xion, and Ansem already there? Yeah, except this time Xehanort enters a heart only to find a bunch of angry dragons staring down at him
-- OM NOM NOM XEHANORT DO NOT MEDDLE IN THE AFFAIRS OF DRAGONS FOR YOU ARE CRUNCHY AND GO WELL WITH KETCHUP
-- Xehanort’s time-traveling causes a Dragon Break, a.k.a. even Akatosh, the dragon god of time, doesn’t know what’s going on so he has to pause the game to look up the lore
-- Tamriel has two moons. Saix is now 2x stronger. Yikes.
-- Saix can finally be an actual werewolf
-- Saix chops off a Nort head and drags it to Ysgramor’s Tomb to materialize and fight the spirit of the Nort possessing him in order to de-Nortify himself
-- Saix in wolf armor. Saix with Shield-Siblings. Saix turned Isa who has green eyes once again and can finally say that he gave the one who scarred his face as good as he got
-- Xehanort is in league with the Glenmoril Witches
-- Vexen runs off to the College of Winterhold because the cold never bothered him anyway. Also, his wacky and slightly questionable but successful science experiments fit right in alongside Phinis ‘don’t worry if you die I’ll put your corpse to good use’ Gestor and ‘if you wanna buy highly dangerous magical artifacts I’m your man’ Enthir and Arniel ‘let’s recreate the events that led to the inexplicable disappearance of an entire race using said highly dangerous magical artifact’ Gane
-- Vexen is that annoying enemy mage who throws super-powerful frost spells at you and backs away faster than you can sprint
-- the Thalmor are 100% on board with letting the world fall to darkness since they want to destroy the world to gain immortality anyway. They’re probably researching how to command Heartless as we speak. Oh my gosh, PARANOIA FUEL: most of the Altmer Thalmor have gold eyes, anyway, so you’ll never be able to tell which ones have been Norted or not
-- Sora has to hunt down an Elder Scroll in order to find Mundus’s Keyhole. Of course, this involves Dwemer ruins. Or maybe planes of Oblivion.
-- Auriel’s Bow (untainted) kills Heartless and releases their captured hearts just like a Keyblade. It’s the weapon of the sun god/creator time god and incinerates undead; why wouldn’t it? It already sparkles like something out of Kingdom Hearts. Don’t believe me? Look at it:
Tumblr media
-- what if the Tamriel practice of soul-trapping is the same thing as extracting hearts? Soul gems are just like those glass capsules in Ansem’s lab that hold data hearts
-- Dragons cannot be soul-trapped and their souls can only be absorbed by another dragon, so... maybe they are immune to Heartless? THEIR HEARTS ARE INEDIBLE, lol.
-- Sora learns alchemy. He can now make his own potions and elixirs. The moogles’ economic monopoly has been broken.
-- Sora befriends various lesser Daedra and can call on them like his Dream Eaters. Sora learns how to summon atronachs. Sora captures Odahviing and gains his allegiance.
-- the gummi ship is fascinating to Tamriel scholars everywhere. They haven’t seen a working spaceship in centuries/millennia!
