I’ve Always Chosen You
Lando Norris x wife!Reader
Summary: in which your husband gets drunk, forgets that you’re married, and cries his heart out about it … at your own wedding
Tumblr media
The music pounds against the walls of the reception hall, vibrating through the floor. Voices chatter in the distance, loud and messy in the aftermath of too many champagne toasts.
The after-party has begun, and it feels like the room is made of laughter and bubbles and the slight hum of joy that still hangs in the air. But you’re standing at the edge of it all, eyes sweeping the crowded space. Your smile falters, just slightly, because there’s one thing out of place.
Lando is gone.
“Where is he?” You ask for what feels like the hundredth time. This time, you’re standing next to Max, who shrugs and hands you his drink.
“I saw him last by the bar,” Max says, but his grin is wide, unaffected. He doesn’t get it. Nobody does.
“He’s drunk,” you say, more to yourself than to anyone. It’s not unusual for Lando to drink too much at a party, but tonight is different. It’s supposed to be different.
Max chuckles, clinking his glass against his own. “Well, it is his wedding.”
Your wedding. Your wedding.
Your chest tightens, and you can’t explain why you feel a sudden rush of panic.
“I’m gonna find him.” You don’t wait for Max’s reply before you slip through the crowd, searching every corner of the reception hall for any sign of him. His jacket is still draped over the back of his chair at your table, his drink — now abandoned — sweating on the tablecloth. You glance toward the dance floor, where some of his friends are still doing ridiculous moves, but he’s not there either.
Your pulse picks up speed.
The hallway outside the venue is quieter, dimmer, and you start checking doors. One leads to the bathroom, another to a storage room, but no Lando. You feel stupid. This is ridiculous. You should be at your own after-party, celebrating with your friends, laughing, not hunting down your newlywed husband like he’s disappeared off the face of the earth.
But you can’t shake the feeling that something’s wrong.
Another door, this one creaking slightly as it opens. You push it wider, revealing a darkened supply closet, the smell of cleaning products faint but distinct. The softest shuffle of feet, and then a muffled sob, barely audible over the sound of your breath catching in your throat.
“Lando?”
You push the door open all the way, and there he is-sitting on the floor, knees pulled up to his chest, his face hidden in his arms. His entire body shakes with the kind of sobs that come from somewhere deep, uncontrollable. You’ve seen Lando in every state — happy, angry, everything in between — but this? This is something else.
“Oh my God.” You drop to your knees beside him, panic rising in your chest. “Lando, hey, what-what happened? Are you okay?”
He shakes his head without looking up. “No.”
You reach for him, putting a hand on his arm, but he flinches at your touch. “Hey, talk to me. What’s wrong? What happened?”
He finally lifts his head, eyes red, his cheeks streaked with tears. His lips tremble as he tries to speak, but his voice breaks when he says, “You got married.”
It’s the one sentence that shouldn’t hurt, because it’s true. You did get married. To him. You blink, confused, heart still pounding.
“Yeah … I did.”
His head drops again, and his sobs return, louder this time, like he’s tearing apart at the seams. “I-I’ve been in love with you since-since-forever,” he chokes out between ragged breaths. “And-and now you’re-you’re married. You went and married some-some douchebag, and-and I’m stuck here-”
“Lando,” you say, a little too sharply, but he’s not listening.
“I-I was going to tell you,” he mumbles, barely coherent now. “I-I wanted to tell you so many times, but-but you were always-so perfect, and-and I couldn’t, and now-now you’re married and I’m so-so stupid.”
“Lando.” You try to steady your voice, because he’s not making any sense. “I married you. You, Lando.”
His brow furrows, but the tears don’t stop. “What?”
“I’m married to you,” you say again, softer this time. “Lando, we got married today. You’re my husband.”
He stares at you, blinking rapidly, but the confusion stays etched in his face. “No. No, you-you married someone else. You-”
“Lando.” You grab his face, forcing him to look at you, your thumbs brushing away the dampness on his cheeks. “Listen to me. You’re the one I married today. We just had a whole reception. We danced. You gave a speech that made my mom cry. You kissed me, like, twenty times in front of all our friends.”
He’s still shaking his head, even as his breath hitches and his sobs quiet a little. “No. No, I-I would remember that.”
“You’re drunk, Lando. You’re wasted,” you say, your heart squeezing because you’ve never seen him like this, never seen him this broken. “You don’t remember because you’ve had, like, ten drinks, but trust me. You’re my husband. We got married today.”
His eyes dart back and forth between yours, searching for something-anything-that makes sense. But then his face crumples again. “No,” he whispers, “no, no, no, you don’t-don’t say that. Don’t mess with me like that.”
You let out a shaky breath, kneeling closer, pulling his face gently into your hands. “Lando. I’m not messing with you. I married you because I love you. You. There’s no one else. I don’t know why you’re-why you’re so upset, but I swear to God, you’re the only one.”
He looks at you, really looks at you this time, and for a moment, you think maybe-maybe he’s starting to understand. But then his lip trembles again, and his breath catches.
“I-I’ve loved you for so long,” he whispers, voice cracking. “I-I don’t know what to do with that. I thought-thought it was too late.”
You shake your head, biting back tears of your own. “It’s not too late. It’s never been too late. I’m right here. I chose you. I’ve always chosen you.”
His whole body shudders as another sob escapes his throat, but this time it’s quieter, like the fight’s leaving him. His hand comes up, trembling, to rest against yours where you’re still holding his face. His skin is warm and damp under your touch, and he closes his eyes, like he’s trying to hold onto the moment, like it’s the only thing tethering him to the world.
“I’m sorry,” he breathes, voice barely audible. “I-I don’t know why I-”
“You don’t have to be sorry,” you whisper, feeling the burn of tears in your own eyes now. “You’ve got nothing to be sorry for. I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.”
He exhales shakily, his forehead pressing against yours, and for a second, the world stills. The chaos of the after-party, the music, the laughter-it all fades away, leaving just the two of you in this dark, quiet space.
“Promise?” He asks, voice so small it makes your heart ache.
“I promise,” you whisper back. “Forever.”
He nods, but he doesn’t say anything more. You can feel the weight of his exhaustion now, the alcohol and emotions and everything else taking their toll on him. His arms snake around your waist, pulling you closer until your body is pressed against his, and for the first time all night, his breathing begins to steady. He’s still holding you like you’re the only thing keeping him from falling apart, and in that moment, you realize that maybe you are.
You sit there with him, in the dark, in the silence, just breathing together. And for now, that’s enough.

THIS🔥 and the fact of the matter is, for me personally, I don’t like the label, ‘higher functioning’ because it seems that when those words come into play, many people seem to believe that higher functioning means less lesser maintenance. And this is totally untrue.
Just because I’m considered to be higher functioning, doesn’t mean that I struggle any less than someone else on the spectrum. I heard a quote from somewhere that describes this best for me,
“Just because I carry something well, it doesn’t mean that it’s not heavy.”
There are times where I get really bad sensory overload from too much sound. It can get so overbearing that I completely shut down and I’m unable to think. People tend to get especially offended if I put my headphones in, but honestly, it keeps me sane.
This is especially an issue when there are several people talking at once. It’s incredibly overwhelming sensory wise and very annoying in the sense that I’m unable to understand what a person is saying.
I also tend to learn a bit slower than my peers. This is led to so many people getting angry with me when I’m just trying to understand something. Some people have thought that I was doing it just for attention. It would be so frustrating up to the point that I would cry and have panic attacks.
I can definitely go on about how changes in routine genuinely give me anxiety sometimes, as ridiculous as it may sound.
And another thing that frustrates me too, is that when I was diagnosed, I’ve been told by literal doctors that developmentally. I am two years behind, so to see somebody walking around like it’s some joke or a party trick makes me want to scream. It’s not funny, it’s a very harmful and hurtful thing.
No one should ever have to prove a disability that they were born with. You can’t just flip it on and off like a switch!
To see someone pretending to have a disability just to seem quirky or cute🔥🔥🔥It’s just so incredibly inconsiderate and exhausting to me.
Like no, Jenny, it doesn’t make you cute to pretend to have autism and ADHD.
It’s not always fun to have autism and ADHD. Many times it’s overwhelming and I can’t frakking function.
I can’t comprehend why anybody would want to do this to another person. Be considerate.
Fake claimers are a much bigger threat to disabled people than fakers ever will be.

Steve becomes an actor. Eddie reacts to his movies while nursing his crush.
***
That Time He Got Naked
Steve had always been a good performer. Eddie watched him in school, putting on the face of a disaffected cool guy who was above everything around him. And he watched him put on a face of bravery for the kids when the end of the world was at their fingertips. When Steve got his first role, Eddie figured it made sense. He hadn't exactly been trained in acting, but he had a pretty face and the ability to do what he was told on a set.
When he got his second role, Eddie didn't pay much attention. Local art movies by Robin's college friends weren't that interesting to watch, in his opinion. But the third role was when it became a thing. That's when it started turning into a big deal. And before they knew it, a year later, Steve was in a real movie. A movie they could see in theaters and rent at family video. A movie people had actually heard of. The kind of movie everyone sat down to watch in support of their famous friend. Even if it was a just small role.
So, at the first available showing where the entire party could get together, Eddie found himself squished between Dustin and Nancy, watching Steve gasp and moan like it was his first time.
And Eddie's face was on fire.
Dustin had pulled his hoodie over his eyes.
Nancy was sitting straight as a telephone pole.
Jonathan leaned over and asked her, “Was he really like that?” Which made her smack him on the arm and tell him to shut up.
Eddie could barely pay attention. He was too busy wondering, as he stared at Steve's bare ass taking up half the screen, if Steve had been hitting the gym to tone up just for this scene because-
He needed to stop thinking about it before he made it even more awkward for everyone.
When Steve called him a week later, he could barely talk without stuttering like a fool.
“So, what did you think? Maria said I was really convincing but she was in the scene with me. She kind of has to say that,” Steve said.
Eddie thought that the sight of Steve's ass had been imprinted on the back of his eyelids, because it was all he saw when he closed his eyes to sleep at night.
“It was good,” Eddie said awkwardly.
“That sex scene was so embarrassing. People keep asking me if it was hot. There is nothing hot about standing around your coworkers in a flesh colored jockstrap.”
“Mm-hmm,” Eddie said, trying not to imagine a scenario where Steve was his coworker, and that was his uniform.
That Time He Died
The next time they met up to watch a Steve movie, nobody had warned Eddie about its contents. Or, maybe they did and he'd ignored it because he didn't want to think about the little mole on the small of Steve's back that he'd discovered last time they watched a Steve movie.
Either way, Eddie was completely unprepared to watch Steve gasping for air while being beaten to death in an alley.
“Ugh, I can't watch this,” Robin muttered when it became clear what was happening. She ran out of the theater a few moments later when the scene didn't end quickly enough.
Lucas was on Eddie's other side, cringing with each brutal punch. Steve was letting out pathetic, wet whimpers, his face literally crunching under the main actor's fists.
Eddie knew it was fake. The blood was kind of excessive and there was just no way you could rearrange someone's face like that with your bare hands. But watching Steve's eyes go glassy made Eddie feel sick.
He got up too.
He found Robin standing next to a water fountain, just staring at it.
“Thirsty, Buckley?”
She jumped.
“Oh. No,” she said, stuffing her hands in the pickets of her jacket. “I just dream about that kind of stuff a lot.”
Eddie nodded. “I get it. It's different when we've seen him hurt before.”
Behind them, the theater door swung open. Dustin paused when he saw them, and then propped it open with his foot. The rest of the party followed.
“I guess we're leaving early, huh?” Nancy asked.
Everyone nodded.
“Nobody tells Steve,” Robin warned.
When Steve called him the next day, he kept his mouth shut.
“You were terrifying,” Eddie said.
“You sure? I think I was supposed to be more pathetic than anything else.”
“I mean, that too. But it was super gory, so I think the whole theater was freaked out.”
“Neat,” Steve said. “You know, I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend. We should hang out!”
“I'd love that!” Eddie said too quickly.
Steve laughed and asked, “maybe you can show me around?”
“Yeah, you can stay at my place!” Eddie said.
And then he looked around his apartment and cringed. “On second thought, you can get a hotel if you don't want to deal with the mess.”
“I love the mess. It's you,” Steve said.
Eddie wasn't sure if he was supposed to be offended or not.
That Time He Cried
The next movie wasn't much better. This time, Eddie came prepared. This time, Steve didn't get naked or die. What he hadn't anticipated was that there were other terrible things that could happen, like watching the man he'd held a crush on for years now scream and sob because he lost the will to live after his wife died.
Eddie honestly didn't know that Steve could sound like that. The anguish in his voice at the funeral scene, the pain in his eyes. It was raw, and difficult to face.
There wasn't a dry tear in their row.
“I do not like this one,” El whispered to Eddie.
“Why is he always miserable in these movies?” Max muttered. She had her shoulders up to her ears and her arms crossed, like she could hold the tears back if she wound herself up tight enough.
“Well. He seemed pretty happy in the first one,” Eddie said.
Max punched him in the shoulder.
Steve's phone call came that evening.
“Dude, I think you broke everyone's hearts. I didn't even know you could cry like that,” Eddie said.
Steve huffed a laugh into the receiver. “My agent told me to think of something sad.”
“What did you think of?” Eddie asked. He instantly wanted to smack himself in the forehead. Why would Steve share that with him? To his shock, Steve hummed, like he was thinking.
“I thought about how I felt when we thought Max was dead,” he said quietly. “Obviously, it's not like that between us. She's basically my sister at this point. But…it was the first time I'd ever lost someone but cared about. Someone I was supposed to protect.”
Eddie's heart melted into a million pieces.
“Steve. I think you should invite her to visit you. She loves you too,” he said softly.
“Yeah,” Steve said slowly, “the only thing is that Dustin would lose his shit if she visited first.”
“Oh, don't worry, I'll keep him distracted for you,” Eddie said.
“With Dragons and Dickwads?” Steve asked.
“You know it.”
That Time He Proposed
Eventually, Steve broke his curse of misery and managed to get a lead role in a rom com. Eddie hated it more than anything else. Watching him fall in love with the human equivalent of a shallow puddle pissed Eddie off more than anything else had in a long time. Steve's pretty eyes, staring at her. Steve, so visibly in love with someone who didn't deserve him. Steve, doing stupid shit to make her take him back when he hadn't done anything wrong in Eddie’s completely unbiased opinion.
It made Eddie want to tear his hair out.
The real cherry on top was Steve proposing to her at the end, because of-fucking-course the movie ended that way. That kind of heteronormative love at first sight, get married and have kids bullshit the media always pandered to, drove him up the wall. Steve did all the work. He set up a cheesy outdoor surprise at the beach and dropped to one knee while everyone in the background of the scene clapped like a bunch of lemmings.
“This is so fucking stupid,” Eddie said.
“Tell me about it,” Mike said.
“God, I hate romance movies," Eddie said.
“They always suck,” Mike agreed.
“Steve would never do that! He doesn't like big grand gestures!” Eddie said.
“What?” Mike asked.
“He's a very private person!”
“Eddie…that's not Steve. That's Chris. Steve’s character,” Erica said.
“I- I know that. I'm just saying,” Eddie sputtered.
“Can you all shut the fuck up?” Max hissed.
Steve called him a week later, and by then, Eddie had forgotten all about it up until Steve started waxing poetic about how romantic it all was. Ugh.
“Wait, I thought you didn't like that kind of stuff,” Eddie interrupted.
“Oh. No, I don't. But in the context of the movie, it was supposed to be.”
“So…what kind of romance do you like?” Eddie asked casually.
“Gonna surprise me with something, Munson?” Steve asked.
“Wha- no, I just-” Eddie stuttered.
Steve interrupted him with a laugh. Then, he suddenly asked, in a sinfully soft voice, “when are you going to visit me?”
Eddie's heart skipped a beat.
“Uh, I don't know. Tattooing doesn't pay for a California vacation yet,” he said nervously.
“You could move out here,” Steve said. “There's a ton of people wanting tattoos in LA.”
“I don't know if all that sun would agree with me,” Eddie joked.
“Youcouldmoveinwithme,” Steve blurted out.
“Hmm?” Eddie asked, twisting the phone cord around his thumb.
“You could move in with me,” Steve said.
Eddie nearly dropped the phone. He sat up straight and looked at his hands like they couldn't tell him what he'd really heard, because there was no way Steve was being serious.
“Eddie?” Steve asked.
“I'm here. Good one, Steve,” he said with a forced laugh, “like you'd want me messing up your place. Anyway, got anything else going on?”
Steve didn't reply for a moment. When he did, he told him about some party he'd gone to. And Eddie forgot about the offer completely.
That Time He Was a Villain
Thankfully, Steve's next film was wildly different from the others. This time he was the bad guy. Eddie found it kind of thrilling to watch him parade around with the confidence of an unapologetic piece of shit. The way he led the main characters around like he had them on a leash, the way he looked when he was in charge. It made Eddie's pathetic little heart shiver.
Steve made a sexy villain.
Unfortunately for Eddie, nobody else seemed to agree. As they left the theater, all the kids were grumbling under their breath.
“I thought he was cool in that role,” Eddie said.
“He was such an asshole!” Dustin said.
“I can't believe he was so mean to Miranda! He didn't have to be such a bad husband!” Max said.
“It was the look in his eyes. Like he thought it was all fun,” Erica said with disgust.
“Once a douche, always a douche,” Mike muttered.
Nancy lifted an eyebrow. “You guys know that it was just a character, right? Steve didn't actually endorse any of that stuff.”
“He chose the role,” Dustin muttered. “I hope Hollywood isn't ruining him.”
Eddie was pretty sure they just missed him.
Steve called him three days later.
“Do you think I'm turning into an asshole?” he asked without saying hello.
“Dustin’s just being stupid,” Eddie said.
“He says I'm regressing back into my high school days!”
“That's dramatic,” Eddie said with a laugh, “he didn't even know you in high school.”
“Exactly!”
“I thought you were cool in your latest movie,” Eddie said.
“What?”
“I mean, you are a bit of an ass, but it shows your skill.”
“Wait, is that what this is about? I thought I missed his birthday or something!”
“Oh, no. They just don't like seeing you play the bad guy.”
“Oh my God, that is so fucking-”
That Time He Fell In Love With A Man
Eddie didn't know what was coming next. Steve had been in a wide variety of roles at this point, so when he sat down in the theater with a bucket of popcorn, he did not expect to witness the crush of his life, holder of his soul, dream of all dreams, to be making out with another man.
Eddie nearly threw his popcorn at the screen out of sheer shock.
“Buckley, did you know about this!?” he hissed to Robin.
“Yeah, I thought it was really brave,” she said softly.
“What do you mean? Because he's straight?”
Robin slowly turned to look at Eddie with an eyebrow lifted.
“...what?” she asked.
Eddie wasn't paying attention. He turned back to watch. It was beautiful. It was nothing like what he'd expected. Explicit love between two men, on screen for the world to see. He didn't even have it in himself to get jealous. For the first time, Eddie couldn't see Steve. He saw the story. He could see himself in the way Steve's character looked at his lover. The way they hid their feelings for each other in public. The film ended with Steve's character passing away in a car accident. It made Eddie cry. Eddie hadn't cried in a theater in years.
He left the building feeling raw.
The others were raving about the film, talking about how it would push Steve's career to the next level. No comments about it being weird or gross.
“Robin, why would he choose that role?” Eddie asked quietly.
“What do you mean?” she asked.
“I mean, did he do it for Will or something?”
Robin turned to Eddie with her hands on her hips, looking very much like Steve with the level of judgement in her eyes.
“Eddie…when you said Steve was straight. Were you being serious?”
Eddie just blinked at her. “Of course I was. He is straight.”
“Are you stupid?” she asked. Eddie opened his mouth to reply, but she didn't let him. “Where have you been the last few years? Has that apartment of yours been lined with lead?”
“What-”
“Eddie, he calls you almost every week!”
“He calls everyone-”
“He stays at your place when he's in town!”
“It's cheaper-”
“He is a successful actor! He has no reason to stay in your apartment, which is always covered in dirty clothes!”
“Hey, I try to keep it-”
“Last time I was there, your underwear was hanging on the bathroom doorknob!”
“Listen, I told you I can explain that-”
“Eddie, he asked if you wanted to move in with him!”
Eddie opened and closed his mouth a couple of times. Now that he thought about it, he did recall Steve joking about that. But it had just been a joke. Right?
“I thought he was being nice?” Eddie offered.
“Oh my god, you are so stupid,” Robin said.
“Wait, so let me get this right. Steve isn't straight. And he's interested in me!?”
Robin punched him in the shoulder. “Go call him, you dumbass.”
Eddie turned and ran all the way home without even saying goodbye. By the time he made it to his phone, he was gasping for air after running up three flights of stairs. And for the first time in years, he called Steve after watching his movie.
“Hello?”
Eddie could only gasp for air.
“...listen if this is some kind of prank-”
“No! Wait! It's me!” Eddie gasped.
“Eddie?” Steve asked.
“I saw your new movie,” Eddie said, brushing his hands out of his face with a shaking hand, “why didn't you ever tell me?”
Steve was silent for a moment.
“Tell you what?” he finally asked.
“That you like men!”
“I'm sorry?” Steve asked, sounding shocked.
Eddie's face was on fire. Had he somehow completely misunderstood Robin's point? Should he have stayed beyond to make sure?
“Eddie, did you not know that?” Steve asked.
“What! Of course, I didn't! If I had known that I would have-” Eddie cut himself off, too embarrassed to even say it.
“You would have what?” Steve goaded.
“It doesn't matter,” Eddie mumbled.
“No, I think it does,” Steve said.
“It's not a big deal,” Eddie said.
“I think it is,” Steve said.
Eddie bit his bottom lip, letting his feelings fester inside him until they finally exploded in the form of him shouting, “I would have asked you out!”
“And I would have said yes,” Steve said instantly.
“Really?” Eddie asked softly.
“I mean…I've been crazy about you for years,” Steve said.
“Why didn't you say anything!? Do you know how crazy you drove me last time you stayed here? You can't hold a man in bed like that and not expect him to fall in love!”
“I- uh, thought you didn't feel the same,” Steve said, sounding embarrassed. Eddie closed his eyes and sighed. Robin was right. He was so stupid.
“Steve, I feel the same and I want to ask you to be with me for the foreseeable future,” Eddie said boldly.
“The foreseeable future? Not just a date?” Steve asked.
“I am well past wanting a single date, to be honest.”
“Oh wow. Well, I've been looking for a boyfriend,” Steve said.
“I might even surprise you with something romantic,” Eddie said with a smile.

series masterlist | listen to the playlist
“hellloooo earth to oscar!”
it was no use. this was the third time he had unintentionally interrupted your conversation to respond to a text. all while doing so with a giddy smile, one you had never seen light up his face quite like this one did.
you had come over right after class, the two of you agreeing to hang out and catch up. it had been a while since it had just been the two of you hanging out, the inevitable busy schedules really hitting hard during your last semester. you missed your best friend.
missed meaning past tense. because although he was your best friend, right now, you wanted to snap his neck.
"oscar jack piastri!"
"oh- sorry," he mumbled the same apology for the third time this afternoon, "sorry, i was just texting someone. it's nothing, what were we talking about?"
you gave him a blank stare, "were you texting your secret girlfriend?"
you noticed the way his eyes widened a little upon mentioning the word ‘girlfriend’, "okay, one, she's not my girlfriend. and two, no. i was texting max."
and for the four years you've known oscar piastri, you could always tell when he was lying. and this time, he was lying right to your face.
you decided to play along with his game, letting him think he won this time. so you hummed, nodding your head, "okay, fine, if you say so."
"i'm sorry," he apologized again, locking his phone and placing it face down on the kitchen counter, "you have my full attention now, promise. what were you saying?"
"i was telling you about last week."
"right, with lando and the diner thing, right?" he asked and you hummed, taking a piece of popcorn from the bowl in between the two of you, "wait a minute, how'd you go from hating his guts and it being unbearable to be within 5 feet of him to 'oh my god he took me to breakfast'?"
"you know that party lily practically dragged me to?" when he nodded you spoke again, "apparently i really suck at beer pong and he helped me back to the apartment and helped lily take care of me. it was really sweet, actually."
he smiled softly before letting out a quiet snort, "sorry, just never thought i'd hear you say the words 'lando' and 'sweet' in the same sentence."
"i'm serious!" you sighed, pouting ever so slightly.
"no, i know!" he laughed softly, "it's just... you're just now finding out what i've been trying to tell you for the longest time? that he's actually a really good dude?"
you bit down on your lower lip softly, "i didn't really give him a chance, huh?"
"not really, no," he chuckled softly, "but it's okay. he didn't exactly help out his own case either, in all honesty."
you nodded in agreement, the front door to the apartment creaking open. you both turned to see lando kicking off his shoes, placing his keys on the hook by the door.
he smiled at you and oscar, "hey,"
"hey," oscar smiled, answering for you as well as you took in his appearance. messy curls, tight black t-shirt, grey sweatpants, duffel bag on his shoulder and a soft glow on his skin, you could tell he had just gotten back from the gym.
arms. biceps. veins. god, you should probably speak before you embarrass yourself...
it was too late though, he had already seen the way your eyes traveled over his body. he decided to put the mental note in the back of his mind for now, instead checking the watch on his wrist.
"oh shit, i didn't mean to keep you waiting, y/n."
you tapped your phone screen, looking at the time. it was 4:35, just five minutes passed when you said you'd meet up. it really wasn't a big deal. you didn't even know it had gotten that late already.
"no, no, it's fine. didn't even notice, if i'm honest," you smiled and he sent you a smile back. oscar watched the two of you like a tennis match, cheekily grinning at the counter.
"i have some of those papers you had me work on the other day, they're in my room if you wanna..."
"oh- yeah! yeah, sure," you smiled, grabbing your things as oscar silently laughed at the way you acted around his roommate. how you were unintentionally tripping and stumbling over your own feet and your words, how lovestruck you became.
you followed lando to his room, placing your things down and taking a seat on the edge of his bed as he looked through his closet for a change of clothes, "i'm just gonna shower real quick, make yourself at home, though."
you smiled, nodding his way as he closed the door behind him. after all this time, you had never thought you'd see the other side of this door. his room was slightly messy, due to his busy schedule and his active lifestyle. posters of cars and, seemingly, his favorite video games hanging on the walls. the bookshelf that sat in the corner of the room was littered with different textbooks at the bottom and little die cast models of his favorite cars, along with a few formula one cars that you had recognized. the top shelf stood out the most to you, though.
a picture frame of him and who you had assumed to be his family. a family photo taken during christmas, all of them dressed in matching pajamas. a big happy family.
the photo, for whatever reason, brought tears to your eyes. a smile on your face as you sniffled quietly, putting the photo frame back down on it's designated shelf.
the door opened, causing you to turn around as he closed the door behind him, "sorry, i figured you'd prefer if i didn't smell like a guy's locker-room."
you laughed softly, wiping away the small tear that came from your eye, "god, yeah,"
"hey," he said, sitting down on the bed beside you, immediately disregarding the notebook he was grabbing beforehand, "what's wrong? you okay?"
you nodded, waving a hand dismissively, "yeah, yeah, i'm fine. i just- for whatever reason, when i looked at that picture of you and your family it just uhm..."
he patiently waited for you to finish your sentence, "it just brought back some feelings that i wish it hadn't, that's all."
"fuck, i'm so sorry," he said.
"no, no," you shook your head, "you don't have to apologize, if anything i should be the one who's apologizing."
"you don't have to apologize for having emotions."
you smiled softly, feeling another tear fall from the corner of your eye. this time, he gently brought his hand up to your face, his thumb brushing over your cheek as he wiped it away.
the action made you breathless, as if the way he was looking into your eyes hadn't already. a mysterious color you couldn't quite put your finger on. it was a mix between blue, green and grey.
whatever it was, it was gorgeous and captivating at the same time.
you cleared your throat, the two of you moving away from the gap that had slowly been closing. your fingers untwisting themselves from his, you growing flushed at the fact that you had, at some point, interlocked your fingers with his unknowingly.
"sorry," you mumbled softly.
"'m sorry," he said at the same time. you both shared a soft and awkward chuckle before he grabbed his notebook from behind him.
"so, i had a few questions about chapter 15."
"go on," you said, studying his side profile as he explained the areas he was having trouble with. pretty tanned skin littered with freckles and moles, curls that perfectly kissed the skin on the back of his neck and his forehead.
the sentence lily had said to you last week repeating itself into your brain:
“...and it’s not like i don’t see the way he looks at you. he definitely is feeling something he doesn’t want to show just yet,”
oh, fuck.

Note
the reader has each time that a member of her family tries to create a bond with her:I am not your pet, I never liked you, I don't care about you I won't wait for you. I hate you.
Yum, good soup!
They'll do anything to spend time with him. Bruce has never watched anime in his life, but you love *Ouran High School Host Club* and *Soul Eater*. With no choice, you watch with him, only for him to ask fifty or more questions. And you always end up leaving him behind in the dust. But he's trying; you're still his baby, even if you side with him like that.
Dick always wanted to help you out with your like a big brother should, showing you the way, but you growl like a wild animal if he gets close to curls. Sure, you let him put growth oil in your cornrows, but that's all he'll ever do. You avoid that man like he has cheese touch.
Jason hasn't been a teen in forever, maybe reading a comic or two and bonding with you about how stupid comics draw women or how ugly the super-realistic style is, just for readers to roll their eyes every time he speaks. Why is he talking to me? Come on, laugh at his jokes; he knows you, he's funny. Come in and giggle!
Tim, you both are nerds. Why don’t you guys play some D&D? "Nah, I have my own party." Tekken 8? Nah, you prefer MK. Come on, just hang out with him! Geeks stick together, but for some reason, you’d rather play with random online players. He’s literally the superior player, and he’s way cooler and funnier, so don’t ditch him for your friends—he's a better rival!
Damian, please, oh, please let him hang out with you. Let him be a little brother; let him ride on your back. Let him play video games with you. Let him come to your room when you have a night in, but you refuse; you blow him off like the plague. Don’t tell him you’re not free—he tracked your schedule!
Stephanie, let's go shopping, paint each other's nails, talk about our crazy crushes, go shopping, and max out Bruce's cards. Oh, you're busy? That's cool. Wait, all your friends are hanging out together, and you're going to Chuck E. Cheese? Why don't you let her join? Oh, you guys were planning this and you don't have an extra space? Maybe next time you'll spend time with your favorite gal pal.
Cass will psychoanalyze all the shonen you've ever watched. Even if it's unrealistic and people don't scream for 15 minutes and suddenly get powerful in the show. Oh, Kengan Ashura! Tell her about the lore and all the fighters; please talk to her about it. She'll pose like the fighters and recreate the moves for you. Come on, just hang out with her. She won't talk, or she'll talk your ear off, but your face of indifference tells her you really don't care; you'd rather watch something else. Fine, Cass will watch it with you.
Duke, come chill with him. Sure, you guys have only had two conversations, and so what? You can't have more? Listen to Kendrick with him; why don't you both bond over not liking and hating on Drake? Schoolboy Q shit. He'll even play Doechii's Chromakopia is out. Let's rap to Sticky. You don't fuck with that? Oh, it's cool; he'll listen to whatever you like. He'll do whatever you like! You guys can watch Boondocks together and make random references that only you two understand. Let him give you a retwist. Let him be your brother, but you'd rather hang out with some loser from your school? What's that about?

CL16 x Reader [the Golden Boy] Valentines Special I
before reading: Welcome to the Valentines Specials! This one is a bit long, since I wanted to do a lot of teasing and slight tension. The intention behind this one is to make it feel sort of like a trashy romcom but in a good way, if you know what I mean? I hope I managed to do that, let me know your thoughts. As always, requests are open and ready for y'all. Happy reading!
summary: You were an anonymous journalist, trying to bring down one of Monaco's biggest illegal organisations. But once its head figured out that you were the one behind the mocking articles, he felt something other than hate.
content warnings: morality is out of question here, a lot of money talk, weird comparisons I guess?, eating out, sex, dom!Charles, no protection implied (wrap it before you tap it obvi), nonproofread
word count: 3943
Tumblr media
"The golden boy of the House of Leclerc amazes the public once more with his ignorance and disregard towards the middle class," you observed in satisfaction as the paper's redactor read the article's title out loud.
You took pride in your work, as it was completely unrelated to making money. If anything, you put money into it, reassuring the small local paper's office that you would be more than happy to provide for them if things went sideways due to your articles.
Although you were certainly a part of the upper class, you made no move to get even richer, instead choosing to use your resources in the scheme you had planned out in the last year.
The plan was to bring down the House of Leclerc, possibly the most prosperous criminal organisation in Monaco, covered up as a fashion brand. You knew all about them from your old man, an eccentric millionaire who had information on pretty much anyone in Monaco and beyond.
You felt completely safe in this line of work; you wrote provocative articles that left the public fuming, slowly bringing down the golden boy—Charles Leclerc. Your articles were published anonymously and were the reason for the recent growth of the small paper.
The money they made off selling it went to them alone, as you did not need it. It helped with the anonymity, as you couldn't be traced by the money transfers.
And during your father's parties and dinners, you could watch the golden boy's face as his advisor walked up to him and reported that another article about his sketchy business had just come up.It was a thing you enjoyed immensely, seeing his polite, slightly amused expression shift into a subtle frown.
It's a good thing you avoided ever speaking with him directly and kept your distance; he might have noticed your little smirk otherwise.
"At this point I am surprised he did not pull some strings to get our office to shut down," the editor sighed, setting the manuscript on the table. "It's a good thing you have the money to fight it."
Yes, you fought money with money in a sense. Writing these articles certainly would have been more noble if you were a part of the middle class, but you knew very well how that would go; you would have been silenced before people even started reading your work properly.
"Even if he were to do it, it would not escape the public's attention." You smiled, twirling a strand of your hair between your fingertips. "And if he were to stop me from writing the articles, he wouldn't just force the office to shut down. He'd focus on finding me alone."
"Well, I admire your courage." The editor sighed. "Though sometimes it is getting dangerously close to bordering on stupidity."
You rolled your eyes and smiled again before getting up and dusting your jeans off.
"The transfer came through in the morning, from a dummy account, like always. I will see you next week, yeah?"
And with that you left for your apartment to get ready for another one of your old man's dinners. It did not take too long; there have been heat waves in Monaco recently, making your clothing options quite limited. You settled for a sparkly golden dress, paired with gorgeous makeup.
You winked at yourself in the mirror before checking the time and heading out.It did not take you too long to get to the gathering, where most were already present. You were immediately pulled into hugs and showered with kisses on the cheek from the females present, who were very happy to see you. They all loved you; you were the apple in their eye. If only they knew who was behind the biting articles about them...
Your eyes wandered around the room, searching for your main target—Charles. You were surprised not to see him; the man was almost never late. With a shrug of your shoulders, you entered your father's villa, walking up the staircase and reaching your old bedroom to adjust your makeup a bit.
It was as beautiful and comfortable as you remembered, with little lights hanging down from the ceiling and the art you painted on your walls when you were a teenager. While searching for your highlighter in your bag, you sat down on the chair in front of your old vanity table, not noticing the quiet sound of a person entering the room.
You gazed in the mirror, applying some of the highlighter as an eyetopper, when a voice sounded from somewhere behind you.
"Hello, little writer." Charles spoke in a calm tone, taking a step closer to the light. "I liked your newest article."
You stopped in your tracks for a second, your hand freezing mid-air. You quickly gathered yourself and calmly continued applying your makeup.
"I am no writer," you responded, dabbing the glowy product into your face. "Unfortunately, I never possessed the ability to write proper pieces. You can ask my father, Mr..."
You paused, pretending to be clueless and not know his name, as you looked at him questioningly.
"Charles," he answered softly, looking at you with amusement, "If your father thinks you have no ability to write, then he is quite ignorant, miss (l/n)."
"Well then, I will entertain your theory, Charles." You spoke, turning around and getting up from the chair to face him. Charles checked you out conspicuously, not even trying to hide the way his eyes traced your every curve.
"How did you come up with the idea that I write articles?" you asked, controlling your body language to perfection. In order to appear less confident and intelligent than in reality, you put your hands behind your back instead of folding your arms on your chest.
He seemed to see right through your trick, seeing you for the way you were: smart and cunning.
"Well, there is someone who writes rather... bold articles in some small local newspaper, bringing a lot of attention to themselves," he spoke huskily, taking a step closer to you, "and I decided to investigate, tracing money transfers from a dummy account, observing the newspaper's office..."
Charles leaned towards you, bending down to whisper into your ear, as his warm breath brushed over your neck faintly.
"You should have picked a busier time to visit the office, little miss... Maybe it would have been easier to miss your pretty face on the camera footage."
You shivered slightly and pulled away to the side, giving him a cold look with your eyes narrowed.
"The next time you try to come into a room I'm in alone, without permission, I will be waiting. With a gun." You spoke coldly.
"Don't tempt me." Charles grinned, his eyes glued to yours. "There is one thing I am curious about."
"Why would a rich girl like you care about what I do, enough to risk her reputation and money, writing articles that mock me? You won't benefit financially... You don't have a business that could expand because of it... Oh, wait." He paused, leaning close to your ear again."Is it to get my attention?" He whispered, smirking at you.
"Did you think that way you would be different from all the other women who throw themselves at me?"
"It might be a shock to you, Leclerc, but not every woman out there dreams of seducing you." You rolled your eyes, folding your arms. While he was still a complete jerk, you appreciated that he did not try to put his hands on you during your first encounter, like entitled men who attended your father's gatherings would often do.
Before Charles had the chance to respond, you turned away and left the room. You did not really care what he would do once you left him on his own in your childhood bedroom. He would not dare to do anything in your father's house.
You quickly got back to the gathering and were immediately welcomed back by the group of women from before. You tried to forget about your encounter with the golden boy and the way his hot breath made your whole body shiver, even though he did not lay a single finger on you.
A girl that has been eyeing you all night had offered you a dance, which you gratefully accepted. You twirled around and had fun, the shiny pieces of your dress making you look ethereal in the warm light, as you continued to be watched by Charles, who got back to the party as well.
Just as you finished dancing with the girl and thanked her, a bit out of breath, another one came up to you giggling, telling you that Charles was talking to your father, asking whether he could dance with you.
Your eyes narrowed, and you looked in your old man's way to see him chatting with Leclerc while gesturing in a lively way. As Charles noticed you gazing at them, he gave you a small smirk and a wave before excusing himself and walking towards you.
"I am not dancing with you," you spoke bluntly, looking at him with disdain. Your words just made him smile and roll his eyes in response.
"Oh, but we wouldn't want to disappoint your papa, would we?" Charles spoke teasingly, "It would be very rude to deny a dance with me, don't you think?"
You bit your lip, knowing he was right. To make matters worse, a cheery Italian love song started playing. Your old man liked romcoms and love songs a bit too much for your liking; you had to talk to him about his Mamma Mia obsession at some point.
Charles raised his eyebrow and held out his hand towards you, just as the chorus of Sarà perché ti amo started playing. You gave him a subtle glare once more before placing your fingers on his warm hand. He smiled and pulled you closer to the centre of the room, leading the dance and twirling you around.
"You look gorgeous tonight, little miss," he whispered teasingly, as the crowd watched you dance. "Are you this beautiful even when mocking me in your writing, or did you simply dress up tonight?"
"Considering how you were busy watching me through the street cameras, I think you are well aware of how I look while working," you bit back through gritted teeth as you smiled at him charmingly to keep up appearances. He gave you an equally tender smile, faking it almost effortlessly, before spinning you around again.
"Oh, street cameras aren't the only thing I can use to watch you. I have eyes too, ma déesse," he whispered into your ear, just as the track ended, and he had to let you go. As you walked away from him, you glanced at your father and groaned at his beaming smile. You silently prayed that he wouldn't try to plan anything as a follow-up to your dance with one of his business partners.
Your prayers were not answered. The next evening you got a text from your father, happily informing you that Charles was absolutely enthralled by you and has asked for your number. (You would not be surprised if your father just came up to him after you two danced and forced him to write down your number in his phone.)
You were still seething as you made dinner in the quiet of your apartment when the doorbell rang. You did not expect any guests, so you raised your eyebrows in surprise and washed your hands before opening the door to see Charles standing behind them. A thought of simply shutting the door in his face ran through your head, but you doubted he would actually let you have your peace.
"Why are you here?" You asked, folding your arms while you looked at him questioningly.
"Maybe I wanted to see your pretty face again?" he suggested, a grin appearing on his face. You made a mental note to add "womaniser" to the long list of epithets you used in your articles.
"Bullshit," you said calmly, completely unfazed.
"I want answers, little miss." Charles finally replied, looking at you closely, "I want to know why the little rich girl who attends her daddy's parties every other week decided to mock me and make me her enemy when she would benefit so much more if I were her ally."
"It's fun," you replied. "I like it. Watching all the other rich people in town squirm once word about their little illegal businesses spreads. I liked seeing your expression, the perplexity in your eyes."
He kept observing you for a couple more seconds before he smirked again and started taking slow steps towards you. You instinctively started to retreat to your apartment, but it didn't make him stop. As he entered it, he closed the door behind him, his eyes never leaving yours.
"Are you going to grab a gun now?" Charles teased, referring to the threat you made the evening before. You stopped and overcame your unease. He was on your turf. And you weren't going to take his shit.
"My turn to ask the questions. Why didn't you try to shut me up earlier?"
"It's pretty simple." He responded, tilting his head slightly. "When you first started writing, I wanted nothing more than to find you and rip your head off. But with each little piece of yours, your gender became clear. It baffled me, since I have not crossed any women recently. It interested me, irked me."
Charles took another step towards you, slowly extending his hand, giving you time to retreat. But you did not, surprisingly letting him place his hand on your chin.
"I found out who you were a while ago. But I decided to watch and tried to see what your motive was. At first, I thought it was your father's idea, but I quickly came to the conclusion that he is a harmless old man. No, you came up with it all by yourself."
You remained silent, listening to his words, as his warm fingers traced your jawline and brushed against your neck, stroking your soft skin softly.
"I was completely sure you were a man pretending to be a woman before I discovered your identity." Charles chuckled.
"I did not understand why else you would watch me so closely, describing my every... evil move."His hand went slightly up once more, and he brushed the tip of his thumb against your peach-tinted lips.
"Otherwise... Why would someone want to bring me down? Without any gain from it..." his voice trailed off. "You are fascinating, little miss."
You let out a small, barely audible sigh at his faint touches, making his eyes glint with interest once more.
"Are you sure you still don't want a bit of my attention?" He murmured, bending down slightly, his head inching closer to your face as he spoke.
Of course you knew what kind of man he was. Filthy rich, attractive, and thought the world belonged to him. But could anyone fault you for finding him just a bit appealing? You tilted your head up to look at him properly. Thoughts were running in circles in your mind as you bit your lip, feeling conflicted. Charles could see your struggle, and he waited patiently for your response, not making any move to touch you more. He wanted your consent, for you to give in willingly.
"Maybe just a bit," you whispered, knowing damn well that there was no way that this would be a one-time thing. He smiled at your response, reaching his hand out again, brushing strands of your hair behind your ear, and leaning in to place a small peck on the side of your neck to test the waters. Seeing that you did not resist his affections, he moved closer, his body meeting yours. Charles took you in with his eyes, massaging your body through your clothes, taking his time with you.
"You really do look incredible regardless of the situation," he muttered, burying his face in your hair and inhaling your scent. "You are so interesting, little miss..."
His hands slipped under your shirt and kept massaging your body slowly, warming it up. You didn't really speak, still unsure how to respond to the situation. The man whose life you tried to ruin was in your apartment, being intimate with you, and you were... Well, you were a willing participant.
Charles roamed your body with his fingers, keeping it pretty civil for now, and you tilted your head up again, brushing your nose against his slightly, making him smile at you.
"I have to say, you were more fierce yesterday. This is not an unpleasant change," he whispered tenderly. "I suppose you can be quite nice if you want to."
You grabbed his wrists and slowly guided his hands to your breasts, placing them around the round tissue.
"Oh, generous even," he added, but he did not tease you further and kept massaging instead.
"Should I get this off?" Charles asked after a while, referring to the large shirt you were wearing. You nodded without hesitating much, making him take the shirt off your body with ease. His hands were immediately back on your skin, this time enveloping your hips with their warmth. You reached for his shirt, taking it off as well. He gently guided you to the couch, carefully pushing you on the soft cushions.
"You're a bit like a wild cat, ma déesse," he whispered with a hint of satisfaction. "It is very difficult to tame you, and even if one succeeds, you still remain wonderfully independent and fierce."
You rolled your eyes a bit at the compliment but did not stop him from undressing you further, giggling a bit as he struggled with taking his trousers off. Charles gave you a warning look, though he couldn't help but smirk as well.
"Watch out, little miss, or I might lose my temper," he whispered.
"Do you ever?" you asked, looking up at him, as he crawled on top of you. "Were those frowns every time you heard about a new article all feigned?"
"Oh, I was not frowning about the articles." Charles chuckled, pressing soft kisses on your neck. "I just think some of the... labels you gave me were a bit harsh. I don't think I'm a 'filthy lecher who feasts on the weak,' to be quite honest."
"Fine, maybe I am a bit... passionate at times." You admitted with a sigh, as he continued leaving gentle pecks on her body, trailing them down towards her chest, "...You're still a jerk."
"Sure I am." He beamed, his shiny eyes glancing up into yours, before he focused on cherishing you again. He was careful, almost as if he worried about damaging you. You took him for someone who liked it rough, yet right now it seemed like he was prioritising your pleasure over his.
You sighed again as his mouth started inching closer to your abdomen before passing in and hovering above her temple.
"Are you ready, little miss?" he asked, and without really waiting for a response, he leaned down, pressing his mouth directly to your clit. He wasn't hesitant; he dove right in, beginning to suck on your labia, eliciting soft moans from your mouth.
Charles took his time, licking and sucking on the outside, before slowly pushing his mouth further, penetrating your cunt with his tongue. The man had skill; he turned into a panting, whimpering mess in a matter of minutes.
Before he brought you to a climax, he pulled away carefully, glancing at you with a grin.
"It's okay, you can come over my face later," he whispered, massaging your hip, as you glanced down at him, your face flushed.
"Do you want to feel me inside, ma déesse?"
You nodded, almost squirming from the tension he built up in your body. He kept watching your expression as he positioned his hard shaft at your entrance, teasing it a little bit, before slowly but surely pushing it in.
You slowly got used to the sensation, letting out small moans and whimpers at the sensation. You closed your eyes, savouring the experience, before pulling him into your arms, making his dick go deeper and causing him to groan in pleasure.
He was so careful with you, as if afraid to break you, to damage you. You would never take him for someone gentle; you assumed he liked it rough. But right now, he seemed to be containing himself for you.
"You don't have to be gentle with me. I'm not made out of glass." you whispered, after letting out another moan. "I want to feel you everywhere."
At your words, his restraint seemed to weaken; his gentle strokes grew into desperate thrusts, the pace quickening significantly. You were now moaning at every move, your body responding to his affections perfectly.
You could not help but admire the way he looked, his brown hair illuminated by the warm light seeping from a lamp placed on the coffee table, his green eyes that usually resembled spring leaves, now looking more like a shadowy forest. Small beads formed on his forehead as he kept a quick pace, sliding his cock in and out of you.
Soon, he reached his high, painting your inner walls white, before sliding out of you, his dick now limp. He tried not to collapse on you, but you simply pulled him in, making him lie on top of your body. You both breathed heavily, spent after the intense sex.
Your mind was analysing the situation now. In the past hours, your opinion on Charles changed significantly. He was still a dick and a bad man, but you couldn't deny the want you felt for him. It might have transcended sexual desire alone.
Charles clearly felt something for you as well; he knew better than to hope that sleeping with you would make you stop writing about him. He was tender, affectionate... It was unclear what he wanted for you. But after a couple more moments of thinking, you decided to let it go for now, choosing to enjoy the presence of the man you seemed to hate just yesterday.
Suddenly, you giggled, making him look up at you questioningly.
"Did you really memorise every insult I have written about you?" you asked, looking at him tenderly. He smiled as well, nuzzling his face into your chest. It wasn't in a sexual way; it seemed that he was simply yearning to be close to you, to stay in this moment, in this apartment, for as long as possible.
"Maybe not every single one, but I remember most of them." Charles murmured, with his face buried in your chest.
You smiled again, deciding that talking about what this evening meant for you two could happen some other time. For now, you wanted to keep him in your arms for as long as possible.
...And maybe a few kisses, you thought, as you gently grabbed his chin and leaned in, kissing him on the lips. He reciprocated immediately, taking the lead and pouring his affection for you into the gesture, leaving you breathless.
"Do you want to stay for dinner?" You asked, making his eyes light up like a little child's.
"I would love to." Charles smiled genuinely. Yes, he was a bad man. But his presence was something you grew fond of. In a matter of a day, you found yourself infatuated with the golden boy that you mocked.
"Maybe I should have suggested breakfast as well," you spoke, pulling him in for another kiss.

Tumblr media
Dating one of the biggest men in sports isn’t easy. Surprisingly, it’s less about your title and your own achievements being overshadowed by being Lewis Hamilton’s girl and more about the mouths of journalists who run without mercy. It’s like none of them can take a break.
Days blur as you’re left alone in his penthouse. With his change to Ferrari, he has been spending more time in Maranello than in Monaco. That's not bad. He has his own job, you have your own. Both of you keep in contact daily, is that not enough? Distance doesn't kill love, people do.
At work, you get a decent salary while doing what you love. It's honest work and it takes your mind off complicated things like the media. While you're in the zone, your co-worker greets you by the doorframe.
“Hey.”
You glance at him, “Hey.” Your hands work meticulously and your head is focused. However, the prolonged silence makes you glance back at your co-worker. “What?”
He shrugs, acting as if he isn't about to say something. That was only an act as he's already entering your space. “You're dating that one racer, right?” It's a breath of fresh air when people don't shove it into your face that you’re dating an icon.
“Yeah,” you nod, your body coming to a slow close, “What's up?”
“The, ah, Hamilton?”
“Yes,” you laugh, putting your hands away from your work, “what is it? You want an autograph?”
He reacts immediately, rolling his eyes with a defensive flail of his hands. “No, God,” he exclaims. “I can't get past the sports things.” He shivers as if it's such a bother to his life.  “But… apparently they caught him exiting some woman's yacht.”
This is news to you. “Yacht?” He's supposed to be in Maranello.
“Yeah. Look at this.”
You pat your hands with a towel, trying to take the excess clay off your fingers when you're handed the phone. To everyone's relief, he holds it for you instead. The screen displays a photo—clearly taken without their consent—of Lewis and another woman in a yacht. Both of them are in state of undress; Lewis wears nothing but swimming shorts, and sunglasses as his hair is tucked neatly in dreads; then, the mysterious woman in her bikini and blonde hair down to her chest.
It's… something.
You're never one to assume things. It's harmful to the soul and the relationship. From the pictures, they could simply just be physically together. It could've been a late party last night—a night he didn't come home to you. He has his own life, it's not like you were one to go to all of his afterparties either. It's just something that never interested you.
You retell yourself, that people don’t kill the love, trust does.
“Thanks,” you tell him. There's a coil around your heart and you’re doing everything to get it off you. “But I’m sure I can talk to him about this.”
“Of course. I’m sorry if this seems like it's out of my business but…”
You nod, trying to see everything in the bigger picture. “I get it. I’d do the same if your boy was cheating on you too.”
That makes him laugh. “Oh, no, you're better than me. If you showed me that, I would've cut his dick off immediately.” He thinks again of what he said, taking in your calm demeanour. “Oh. Sorry.”
Travelling from Nice to Monaco is a peaceful event. One of the things you love about working in Nice is the ride there. It's a quick break from your personal life and to work. In the middle, nothing really matters. When you get home, you're pleasantly surprised to see Lewis already there.
Limbo has ended when you exit your car. “Hey,” he smiles at you, preparing food for himself and you. Him with a meal tailored to his diet, and yours with your favourite dish.
“Hi.” Lewis was always sweet when he hadn't seen you in a while. It's like his way of making it up to you. “I thought you were still out in Italy?”
*Huh?” Food flew in mid-air for a second, his head having snapped to yours. “No. I came home last night and stayed at a friend's place.”
You try to tell yourself your tone isn’t as sharp as you thought it was as you ask, “You mean her yacht?”
He laughs, shaking his head. That didn't even faze him. That's good, you think. If he was cheating, he would've been sending warnings all over his body. Instead, he tells you, “She practically lives there. I don't think I ever seen her on the shores.”
“Huh.” You tap your fingers on the island, he glances at it “A bunch of paparazzi saw the two of you though.”
“Really?” He puts the utensils down and suddenly, you know the conversation has taken reigns. "We were pretty far off the shore,” he says, “I'm surprised they can capture us from there.”
“Great lenses.”
He turns the stove off. “Is everything okay?”
“I'm sorry.” It's getting to you. You don't *like” that it's getting to you. “What do you think, Lewis?”
The man smiles. There's an easy smile on his face but you can tell he's just as saddened as you are. “Sweetheart,” he calls, putting his hands on your arms and facing you to him, “tell me what's wrong. Please?”
What's wrong feels like a complicated question. However, it's a simple answer, “I've missed you.”
“I've missed you too,” he says, immediately knowing what to say.
“No, it's just…” there are words stuck that you aren't quite sure how to get out. You try anyway. “You've been busy with Ferrari, I know that. I didn't go into this relationship not knowing what to expect. But it's just hard to talk as much as before and then I see pictures of you in another woman's yacht half naked so I just…”
“Assumed?” he smiles, raising an eyebrow.
You roll your eyes. “Is it so bad?”
It's not. He knows it's not. You don't like how he kisses you first instead of explaining. It's not like you're complaining in the long run though. When he pulls away, he's humming as he drums his finger over your collar. “Well, if I'm being honest, I would've reacted way worse if I saw you like that with someone else.”
You remember that similar words were said to you. “Everyone keeps saying that.”
“What?”
“That they're gonna react worse.”
“Because,” Lewis kisses your cheeks, your jaw, and presses a sharp one just on your collarbone “You're forgiving. You're patient. You're the smartest woman I know stuck with a guy who travels for a living. It's unfair because you should be with someone who's there for you for every part of your life—”
“Lewis—”
“I’m being serious here.” He is, you know it. “You deserve someone like that.” Your head rests on his palm, your eyes locking in and you can only see the love radiating from him “But I’m glad it's me. I'm not gonna be the perfect man that you deserve, but know that I'm gonna try my hardest.
“And baby, I want you to punch me for even looking like I was about to cheat on you.”
That pulls you out of it. “Oh, come on,” you scoff, “be serious here.”
“I'm serious. I would've beaten up the guy you were with if you were in my position.”
You think he's being silly. It barely matters when his hands go under your shirt. It's nothing too much—he wraps his arms around you and pulls you close. It's the intimacy and the warmth of your skin that makes him want this. It's nice. You ask him, mind trying to come back to the conversation, “Then shouldn't that mean that I should punch your friend then?”
Lewis shakes his head, putting a kiss on your forehead, “No, no. It should be me who takes the blow. I would be the idiot who went for someone else when I had this angel in my home.”
“Mhm?” He hums back, his hand teasing just on your waistband and you let out a laugh. “And I'm not the idiot who goes for someone else?”
“No, my sweet angel. You would be the genius getting what you deserve.”
To say the truth, there was barely any doubt. The loneliness for the past few weeks has crawled up to you—he knows that. You're never shy about communicating your feelings. For days, you've pouted over text how you miss him. Now that he's here, you're enjoying his hands roam your body as eagerly as his lips do.
It's like he's learning you all over again. He knows your favourite places yet he massages and kisses them like it's the first time. He's experimenting. He wants to know how to make you feel good again. It's a testament to show how he knows your body more than you ever could. Your heart grows fond with each kiss, a devotion of love just on the other side of it.
When both of you are in bed, stomach and heart full, you realise something. Well, more like you’re contradicting something.
You tell him, “It's not about what I deserve.”
“Hm?” He's snuggled beside you, hands under your shirt and relaxed.
“You deserve… an eight championship. A good car. A better team. But it's not about what you deserve.” You turn to look at him but he's already looking at you. “It's about what you want and what you'll do to get it. For me, it's what I’ll do to keep it.”
That’s enough for you.

the pounding of the hammer against the metal door echoed through the bunker like thunder, each strike rattling your bones. sam was shouting at you, his voice sharp and panicked as he wrestled with the electrical lock, trying to secure it before dean could break through.
“you need to hide,” sam yelled, his face pale and slick with sweat. “get somewhere safe. now!”
but you couldn’t. the look in sam’s eyes was pleading, but all you could think about was the fury blazing behind dean’s black eyes on the other side of that door. the mark of cain had twisted him, brought out the darkest parts of him, and now he was a demon. you couldn’t leave sam to face him alone, not like this.
“i’m not going anywhere,” you shot back, your voice shaking as you pressed your weight against the door, trying to help sam buy just a few more seconds. “i’m not letting him kill you, sam.”
the hammer slammed again, the metal buckling inward with a sickening groan. you flinched, but your hands stayed firm against the door.
“just…” sam’s voice cracked as he twisted the locking mechanism. “distract him if he gets through. keep him focused on you. i’ll… i’ll figure something out.”
“sam—”
before you could argue, the hammer came down again, and this time the door gave way, tearing open with a deafening crash. and there he was—dean. but not the dean you knew. this wasn’t your dean with his cocky grin and warm, teasing eyes. this was something darker, something cruel. the demon wearing dean’s skin grinned at you, the hammer dripping with fresh dents and rage.
“well, well,” he drawled, stepping through the ruined doorway, his eyes black as coal. “ain’t this cozy? you two planning a little slumber party without me?”
you stepped in front of sam instinctively, your heart hammering in your chest. “dean,” you said, your voice shaking but steady enough. “you don’t want to do this.”
he cocked his head, amused. “oh, sweetheart, you don’t get to tell me what i want. not anymore.”
the hammer swung in a wide arc, and you barely had time to duck, pulling sam down with you as it smashed into the wall. debris rained down, and you coughed, trying to clear your head as dean turned to you with that cold, predatory look.
“come on,” you said, forcing a shaky smile as you stepped toward him. “you don’t want sam. you want me, right? let’s… talk. just you and me.”
his gaze flicked to sam, who was already scrambling to his feet, and then back to you. he smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “i always did like it when you begged,” he said, his voice dripping with venom, the mark of cain practically pulsing with dark energy.
sam took the moment of distraction to grab the knife he’d stashed behind the table, but dean’s sharp gaze caught the movement. the hammer came up again, and you screamed as it swung down, stopping just short of sam’s head when he pressed the knife to his own throat.
“stop!” sam shouted, his voice shaking but firm. “i swear to god, dean, i’ll do it. i’ll end this right here if i have to.”
“you wouldn’t,” dean sneered, but there was a flicker of hesitation in his eyes. just a flicker.
that’s when you moved, stepping between them and throwing your arms around dean, pressing yourself against his chest. “dean, please,” you whispered, your voice trembling. “it’s me. you’re still in there. i know you are.”
his body stiffened under your touch, the hammer trembling in his hand. “get off me,” he growled, but his voice faltered, the black in his eyes flickering like a dying flame. the mark’s influence was strong, but you had to believe he was stronger.
“i’m not letting go,” you said, holding him tighter. “not until you stop. not until you… come back to me.”
behind you, sam moved cautiously, his knife still poised, ready. and then there was the faint rustle of wings, and you felt the shift in the air before you saw him. cas.
“now, cas!” sam barked.
in an instant, cas was there, his hand pressing against dean’s forehead, the power of the angel’s grace flaring bright and fierce. dean roared, the sound raw and inhuman, his body bucking against you as you held on for dear life.
and then, just as suddenly, it was over. dean’s body went limp, his head dropping to your shoulder, and the black faded from his eyes, leaving only green. familiar, beautiful green.
“y/n?” he croaked, his voice hoarse and broken.
“i’m here,” you whispered, your fingers brushing through his hair as you held him close. “i’ve got you, dean. we’ve got you.”
sam exhaled a shaky breath, lowering the knife, and cas stepped back, his expression unreadable but his presence steadying. the bunker was a mess, the air heavy with what had just happened, but dean was here, alive, and himself again. for now, that was enough.

Seeing Red
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JJ Maybank Imagine
Summary- When a wealthy Kook starts flirting with you at a party, JJ cant hide his jealousy. After an argument, he finally admits how much he cares about you.
A/N- my requests are currently open
The party is in full swing, music blasting through the speakers as people dance around the bonfire. The air is thick with the scent of salt, smoke, and cheap beer. It’s a typical Outer Banks night—loud, wild, and chaotic.
But JJ Maybank isn’t having fun.
He’s standing off to the side, beer in hand, jaw clenched so tight he swears his teeth might crack. He’s barely heard a word of whatever Pope’s been rambling about for the past five minutes. Because across the bonfire, in the middle of a group of Kooks, is you.
And some guy is all over you.
A rich, preppy-looking asshole with a perfect haircut and a smug grin, standing way too close, whispering something in your ear that makes you laugh.
JJ doesn’t like it. Not one bit.
“You good, man?” Pope finally asks, following his line of sight. His expression shifts when he sees what—or who—JJ is staring at.
“Shit,” Pope mutters. “You look like you’re about to murder someone.”
JJ scoffs, taking a swig of his beer. “I’m chill.”
Pope raises an eyebrow. “Dude, your eye is literally twitching.”
JJ ignores him, his grip tightening around the bottle. He’s not jealous. He just doesn’t like Kooks. And he sure as hell doesn’t like watching one try to sweet-talk you like he’s got a chance.
And then it happens.
The guy tucks a loose strand of your hair behind your ear.
JJ sees red.
Before he even realizes what he’s doing, he’s moving, shoving past people with a determined stride. Pope calls his name, but it’s drowned out by the roar of the party.
By the time you notice him storming over, it’s too late.
JJ doesn’t hesitate—he steps right between you and the Kook, forcing him to take a step back. “Alright, Casper,” JJ sneers, tilting his head. “You can go now.”
The guy scoffs. “Uh, I was in the middle of a conversation.”
JJ grins, but there’s nothing friendly about it. “Yeah? Well, it’s over.”
“JJ,” you warn, eyes narrowing. “What the hell are you doing?”
“Saving you,” he replies easily, still glaring at the guy. “You’re welcome.”
The Kook rolls his eyes. “Dude, chill. We were just talking.”
JJ lets out a humourless laugh. “Oh, is that what you call it?” He crosses his arms, stepping even closer. “See, I know your type. You think just ‘cause you’ve got daddy’s money and a trust fund, you can get whatever you want. But she’s not for sale, man.”
Your eyes widen. “JJ—”
“Whatever, man,” the Kook mutters, backing off with a scoff. “Not worth the trouble.”
JJ watches him walk away before turning to you, expecting a thank you—maybe even a look of admiration. Instead, you’re glaring at him like you’re ready to throw him into the fire.
“What the hell was that?” you snap, crossing your arms.
JJ blinks. “What do you mean? I just saved you from—”
“I didn’t need saving! I was handling it!”
JJ scoffs. “Oh, come on. That guy was a dick.”
“You don’t even know him!”
“Don’t have to,” JJ retorts. “I know how guys like that work. He was trying to get in your head.”
You shake your head in disbelief. “And what? You think it’s your job to protect me? I can take care of myself, JJ!”
His frustration boils over. “Maybe I don’t want you to have to!”
The words hang between you, heavy and unspoken for too long. JJ’s chest rises and falls, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. Your expression softens, but your voice is still firm.
“JJ…” you sigh. “Why do you care so much?”
He runs a hand through his hair, looking away. He doesn’t want to say it—not like this, not in the middle of a party. But he’s already too deep in it now.
“Because it drives me insane watching other guys look at you like that,” he admits, his voice lower now. “Like you’re something they can just… win.” His jaw tenses. “You’re not a fucking prize, Y/N. You’re… you’re you. And they don’t get to have you.”
Your heart pounds. “And you do?”
JJ freezes, eyes snapping to yours. The firelight flickers against his face, shadows dancing across his sharp features. For once, he looks uncertain.
“I don’t get to have you,” he murmurs. “But God, I want to.”
The air between you crackles, thick with something unspoken. You swallow, your anger melting into something else entirely.
“Then maybe,” you whisper, stepping closer, “you should stop acting like an idiot and do something about it.”
JJ searches your face, like he’s trying to figure out if this is real. If he’s allowed to want this—want you.
And then he does it.
His hand finds your cheek, and before you can think, his lips are on yours. It’s messy, heated, desperate—like he’s been holding this in for way too long. And maybe he has.
Your fingers tangle in his hair, pulling him closer, and he groans against your lips, like he’s finally found something he’s been searching for. When you finally pull back, breathless, JJ leans his forehead against yours, his hands still gripping your waist.
You laugh softly, brushing your thumb against his cheek. “Took you long enough, Maybank.”
JJ grins, pulling you back in. “Better late than never, sweetheart.”

hiii I was wondering if u could do a fic where Billie hates reader then Billie finds out that reader has an abusive boyfriend at a party by one of readers friends and Billie and readers boyfriend get into a fight ( because Billie actually cares about reader ) at his house and reader walks in and the boyfriend ends up hitting reader , the ending is yourssss !! (Also I don’t know if this makes much sense .. )
hi bb! Hope this is what you wanted!
Tumblr media
heartbreaks & earthquakes
Another weekend, another party you didn’t want to be at. Your boyfriend was throwing another party which meant he would be drinking and you would end up being at the other end of his anger.
You locked yourself in the bathroom, looking in the mirror at the new reminder of how much you needed to leave him.  A fresh new mark on your face that you couldn’t hide very well. You gently ran your fingers over it, wincing slightly at the pain before searching through your purse to find something to make it seem a little less obvious.
You could just tell someone you ran into something if they asked you thought to yourself as you put some makeup over it, and made your way back to the party, passing Billie along the way. You noticed she was talking with one of your friends. Though you couldn’t imagine what they must have been talking about. You didn’t know Billie very well. You always thought she kinda hated you, so you never took the time to really get to know her.
When your friend noticed your sad expression, she excused herself from Billie and joined you on the balcony.
“So, what did he do this time?” Your friend asked. Knowing he was always up to something.
“It’s nothing!” You said shying away, trying to hide the bruise further with your hair. She lifted your head, eying your rather shit cover up job, and tear stained face. “You know, he can’t keep doing this to you. One day he’s really going to hurt you! I’m not trying to tell you what to do, I just want to help you. Make sure you’re okay. You deserve better than this.” Your friend said seriously, hoping that this time you would actually leave him. But before you could even respond, shouting from two familiar voices filled a nearby space.
“Oh shit!” Your friend said. “I may have told Billie that your boyfriend is a complete ass!” “You did what?” You shouted racing off to go find them. Not sure what was to come of it. But you knew enough to know if Billie got involved, your boyfriend didn’t stand a good chance.
Once you found them, they were in the middle of a heated argument about you. You couldn’t understand seeing as how you had become your boyfriend’s punching bag, and Billie? She just didn’t like you or care.
You stepped in the middle of them, pushing them both apart. “Stop it you two!” You said continuing to stand in the middle of them both. “Gonna let your girlfriend fight for you? Even after all the shit you put her through?” Billie spat, trying to move you out of the way.
“She’s my girlfriend. And that means I can do whatever I want, anytime I want” he said wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “We’re fine,Billie. Really we are. You can go back to the party. Thank you for wanting to help.”
You gave her a weak smile before she took one last look at both of you, heading for the door. But before she could even leave fully, she heard the sound of his fist hitting your face. Billie froze, taking in the moment before she walked back over to your boyfriend returning the favour. She knocked him to the ground, leaving him spitting up blood.
“You’re never putting your hands on her again. And if you even try, you’ll have me to deal with. Got it?” She said ever so seriously. Her voice had lowered, eyes darkened. That beautiful blue turning icy. You realised you knew her even less in this moment, but also you didn’t care as you felt her hand slip into yours, leading you away from your boyfriend and back to the bathroom where you felt like you were spending most of the party.
“Hop up on the counter pretty girl.” Billie said, shutting the door behind you, standing in between your legs. Her face was dangerously close to yours as she examined the damage.
Wait..did she just call you-
She broke your thoughts when her ring clad fingers held your chin softly to get a better look. “Looks like he got you pretty good. “ she said looking at your eye, knowing it would be bruised in a matter of hours.
“Billie.” You ask, questioning her actions. “Why did you do that? Why did you stand up for me out there?” You asked wincing from both the old pain and new mixing together. She didn’t answer you as she rummaged through the medicine cabinet finding an ice pack and placing it over your eye.
“You’ve never cared before. What’s changed?” You asked feeling strange as you let her take care of you.  “And now I’m pretty to you? You’re so fu-“
Before you could finish, she lifted your chin and placed her lips softly on yours, kissing you so sweetly, so tenderly you couldn’t believe it was actually happening.
When she pulled away, your eyes were still closed, taking in the moment, hearing her speak finally.
“I’ve always had feelings for you. But you’ve always been with someone else. Always a guy. I just never thought I had a chance. So I tried to act like I didn’t care. But I do. And when I heard what he was doing to you, and saw for myself I couldn’t let him keep don’t that to you. You deserve so much better. You deserve to be with someone who appreciates you and cares. Someone who would be happy to call you their own.”
You couldn’t believe she was saying this. And to you. Your head was swimming, confusion consuming your every thought as her eyes returned to that beautiful ocean blue. Could you ever see yourself being with Billie? You didn’t know. But as she cared for you, tending to your eye and staying with you to make sure you felt safe, you felt your heart swell at the kindness she was showing you.
You could give her a chance, couldn’t you? You thought as she lead you away from the party, leaving the loud music, sweaty bodies and him behind. She helped you into her car and drove you home. Still making sure you felt okay enough to be on your own.
You both stood on your porch. Billie rocked back and forth on her feet, her hands in her pockets as she nervously began to speak again.
“I can um.. come in with you. Make sure you’re alright.” She said meting your gaze. She really was quite beautiful you thought to yourself as you cupped her face with one of your hands, pulling her in for a kiss.
“I would like that. And maybe just maybe you could stay too?” You said smiling softly, secretly hoping she wouldn’t turn you down. Ans she didn’t. She nodded shyly, letting you grab her hand and lead you inside.
Truthfully you didn’t know what was between you. You didn’t even know if it had been a good idea. But you both knew what ever kind of relationship you and your boyfriend once had, it was over new. Billie was your new beginning and the possibilities of being with her seemed endless as you shut the door behind you, welcoming her into your space and into your heart.

PART TWO
Tumblr media
“You’re such a little brat,” Steve stumbled into his bedroom with me attached on his lips.
My hand worked at the buttons of his jacket, trying to get it off, but he smacked them away.
“Steve,” I whined, my pussy clenching around nothing.
His hair wasslicked but he blew away a few loose strands. There was a darkness in his eyes, something I didn’t recognize, and for a brief moment it scared me.
“You’ve been riling me up all night knowing I can’t do anything about it. Then when I finally think we’re going to fuck, you stop and talk to an old friend for twenty minutes,” I angrily gruffed while crossing my arms over my chest.
Steve cocked his head to the side, those eyes glazing over the pout of my bottom lip before glancing over my shoulder briefly.
“Haven’t you learned anything? Don’t you want to be a good girl for me, Y/N?”
I gulped loud in the quiet darkness of his bedroom, knowing that whatever I was in for tonight wouldn’t be good.
Not like I would complain.
“Take it off,” he plucked at the strap of my dress.
I quickly shimmed out of it, letting the silky material pool at my feet. Steve’s hungry eyes raked over my bare chest and pebbled nipples, licking his lips ever so slowly. He closed the distance between us, engulfing me in a feverious kiss that was filled with biting lips and crashing teeth. His tongue devoured every inch of my mouth, reveling in the taste of my drink earlier. I scratched and clawed at his shirt, wishing he would take it off so I could graze my teeth over every inch of skin.
“You’re such a pretty little thing,” Steve bit along my jawline, down to my neck as his fingers worked circles on my clit.
I hissed in pleasure, trying to remove his clothing while I stood bare for him.
“I’m fucking tired of all the teasing, Steve,” I grumbled and began working on his belt.
The sound of skin on skin echoed in the room and I cried out in ecstasy when he slapped my ass again.
“I’m tired of you being a brat. Get on your knees,” his eyes darkened.
I stood tall to him, not backing down with a wicked smirk on my face.
“No.”
Through the darkness of his bedroom, only cast in the ever-growing light of the moon, Steve stepped back into the shadows with a playful gleam in his eye as a darker voice sounded from the corner of the room. My shoulders went stiff as the smirk was wiped off my face, knowing exactly who that voice belonged to.
“You heard him, doll. Get on your fucking knees.”
I blinked rapidly, trying to gather my bearings as I turned slowly towards the voice, now seeing the figure sitting in the corner of Steve’s bedroom. His ankle was crossed over to his other knee, tattooed hands resting on the arms of the chair.
“B-Bucky,” you gulped. “How long have you been sitting there?”
A soft click echoed in the room and it was soon bathed in an orange glow thanks to him turning on the lamp next to him. I sucked in a breath at the sight before me.
Bucky was still dressed in his party clothes and his hair somehow managed to stay perfectly combed back from when I last talked with him last on the couch less than an hour ago.
There was a typical monthly party at the Avengers Tower and even though I’d been glued to Steve’s hip all night, I found myself slipping away to talk to Bucky.
“Wait,” I turned back to Steve. “Did you two plan this?”
He gently cupped my cheek and left a chaste kiss on my lips. “I see the way you look at him, Y/N. How your eyes linger when he walks away.”
My lips parted to speak but felt a swift smack to my ass.
“Don’t lie,” Steve clicked his tongue. “It’s clear you want him to fuck you.”
“Steve,” I breathed, trying to figure out what to say.
It was futile though because it was true.
While I loved Steve with every part of my soul, lately I couldn’t ignore the way my heart leaped into my throat when Bucky walked into a room. It wasn’t always like this, I’d grown up with both of them. But recently, as Bucky started becoming healthier and growing into the man that sat before me, something in my brain kept telling me to let my gaze linger a while longer than what’s deemed normal for someone who was in a relationship.
“I know what happened in the kitchen,” Steve chuckled.
My head snapped back to Bucky, anger radiating off of me in waves. “You told him?”
He tried to wipe the smirk off of his face, failing miserably. “I don’t keep secrets from Steve.”
It felt as if a weight had pulled down my stomach when I remembered what happened in the kitchen three nights ago.
Tiptoeing down the stairs quietly in fear of waking up the rest of the house, I pulled on the bottom of Steve' shirt hoping it would cover my ass. Unfortunately it didn't and part of my yellow panties peaked through the end of it.
“Just a quick snack,” I muttered into the dark air, reaching for the fridge.
“Did you want some popcorn?”
Screaming, I whirled around to see Bucky sitting at the kitchen table, lit up by the faint light of his phone. He extended a bowl of popcorn towards me.
“What the fuck!” I held a hand to my racing heart. “You scared the shit out of me, Bucky!”
Chuckling, he rose from the table to slowly stalk over to me. “Steve asleep?”
I raised a brow. “Yeah, why?”
Bucky shrugged before running a hand through his long hair and I did my best not to gawk at his bare chest.
“My room is next to his and you’re not exactly quiet,” he said while standing in front me, towering over with his tall frame.
Heat rose to my cheeks when I realized exactly what he was talking about.
“Uh,” I pulled down the end of my shirt, hoping to cover my ass. “Sorry. Sometimes I don’t even realize how loud I can be.”
He hummed, the noise vibrating in his chest, and his vibranium fingers swiftly brushed over the heated skin of my thigh.
“Don’t apologize, Y/N. I liked what I heard.”
My gaze flashed down to his cock when I felt it brush up against my thigh, feeling exactly how much he liked what he had heard. Every part of me ignited with a burning desire that seemed to only be lit when Bucky was around. The guilt wouldn’t stop eating away at me though because I knew it was wrong to feel this way, especially because Steve also made me feel the same.
I loved Steve so much, I saw a future with him. We’d been together for years.
But the prospect of something new lingered on my mind for quite some time and the more I tried to ignore it, the harder it became to tell myself I didn’t want Bucky as well.
“Bucky,” I breathed as my eyes fluttered shut.
His fingers grazed up the skin of my thigh, burrowing up the shirt so they could rest on my hips. His warm breath tickled the side of my neck as he breathed me in deep. I didn’t push him away, I let his lips graze over the purple marks Steve left earlier and my fingers wrapped around his thick biceps. My nails dug into the skin, claiming what wasn’t mine.
“Yellow is your color, doll,” he ghosted over my lips before stalking out of the kitchen, leaving me in a pool of my own desire.
“It wasn’t anything,” I tried to tell Steve, hoping he would understand.
With his hand still resting on my cheek, he grazed his thumb just underneath my eye.
“It’s alright, honey,” he reassured you with another kiss. “I talked with Bucky and I have something to run by you.”
A sudden chill brushed over me, causing my nipples to peak.
“What is it?”
Bucky spoke next, still sitting in the chair in the corner of Steve’s room. “One night. You can have the both of us for one night.”
I nearly choked on my spit when I realized my darkest desire was about to come true.
“You’re joking, right? This is some kind of prank?” I asked Steve.
He sternly shook his head. “It’s the truth, Y/N. As long as you agree, you can have Bucky either along with me or just him. Just for tonight.”
My jaw fell to the floor in shock. There was absolutely no way that Steve was being serious. The second I touched Bucky, would he freak out and break up with me?
“How do we expect things to go back to normal after tonight? You can’t possibly think we’ll all forget this happened,” I snorted.
“Doll.”
Turning my head towards Bucky, he beckoned me over with a crooked finger but I was still unable to move. I felt Steve slink up behind me, his hands trailing up my stomach.
“It’s alright, honey,” he whispered.
Swallowing thickly, I took a step towards Bucky but he sharply shook his head.
“Crawl.”
Heat shot straight down to my core, that fire igniting as I slowly dropped to my knees so I could crawl over to him. His ocean eyes were blown wide as they tracked my every movement until I stopped in front of him.
“I need you to agree, doll,” he said, body vibrating with adrenaline.
I threw a look over my shoulder at Steve who had sat on the edge of the bed resting his elbows on his knees. He gave me another reassuring nod so I looked back to Bucky.
“Yes,” I breathed.
The pale skin his neck bobbed slightly as he swallowed. “Take my cock out and stroke it.”
Fucking finally.
My hands worked quickly to undo the button and zipper on Bucky’s pants and I gasped when I noticed how hard his cock was in the confines of his briefs.
“Do you see what you do to me?” He groaned while his cock sprang free.
I licked my lips at the sight of precum that beaded at the head of his cock; so pretty and pink.
While Steve’ was a bit shorter and thicker, Bucky’s was longer and had a vein that ran underneath. It looked angry, like he’d been fighting a boner all night long. My hand worked up and down, squeezing every so often as I went, and Bucky’s head fell back against the chair.
“Fuck,” his jaw went slack when my mouth began to take all of him.
His hands found my hair, keeping me locked in place as he fucked into my throat. My feet dug into the carpet trying to keep myself locked in place and my nails dug into his clothed thighs.
“Easy, Bucky,” Steve warned.
“She can take it. Can’t ya, doll?” Bucky’s one hand cupped my cheek, working out the tightness.
I nodded, urging him to keep going with a pat to his thigh.
Now he didn’t hold back, rising up from the chair as he fucked the back of my throat all while keeping my head in place.
“Shit,” he cursed.
Opening my eyes, I glanced up at him with tears, begging him to keep going.
“Beautiful,” he mused while holding his arms out wide moments before I felt his warm seed shoot down the back of my throat.
I hummed in such delicious delight, swallowing all of him, before falling back to my knees and wiped the drool with the back of my hand. Bucky was still slumped in the chair, breathless, and I dared a glance over to Steve to see that he was gripping the blanket tightly. I feared that maybe he was angry with what happened but realized he, in fact, loved what he saw because I could tell how hard his dick was underneath his pants.
Large hands gripped me from my armpits and forced me to sit on a lap, Bucky’s warm breath fanning over the back of my neck. He spread my legs wide, giving Steve a preview of how wet I was between them.
“Do you want to be a good girl and give him a show?”
I nodded to Steve. “Can I?”
He palmed his dick. “Of course, honey. I want to see you fall apart.”
“Touch yourself,” Bucky rasped while biting my ear.
Moaning out in pleasure, my fingers worked in fast circles against my clit and when Bucky’s cock brushed along my folds, I shivered in his embrace.
“You want my cock, doll? You’re so fucking needy for it like the slut you are.”
“Please,” I choked out. “I’ve wanted it for so long.”
I felt Bucky’s chest rumble underneath me. “Did you hear that, Steve? Your girl has been wanting my cock for a long time.”
Steve snorted. “Tell me something I don’t know.”
My entire body was red from not only the heat of my growing orgasm but the fact that these two could read me like a book. Knowing what I wanted before I even knew.
I jerked, halting my actions slightly, when Bucky pressed himself inside of me.
“She has an implant,” Steve answered for me when he realized I was too far gone with touching myself that I wouldn’t be able to answer.
Slowly but all at once, Bucky filled me completely and I groaned out his name. My hips rode against the length of it and my hand, that familiar white haze creeping into all of my senses.
Unlike how he fucked my throat, Bucky was soft and gentle while dragging his cock in and out of my pussy.
“So tight,” he bit down on the skin of my shoulder, causing me to cry out in ecstasy.
“I’m so close,” I panted, fingers working even faster.
Grunting filled my ears and through lidded eyes, I watched as Steve pumped his cock desperately trying to chase his own release. The sight of me being speared open by Bucky’s cock drove him wild, his hair no longer slicked back.
A hand turned my face and now I was staring at Bucky, whose eyes glanced down to my lips; a silent question.
“Please,” I sighed.
His lips tasted different than Steve’s. They were softer, more plump and the few hairs that peppered around his mouth tickled my skin as our tongues danced slowly together, getting used to each other.
Without warning, my orgasm tore through me violently and I screamed my release into Bucky’s mouth. His cock twitched inside of me before I felt that familiar feeling coating my insides, spilling onto my thigh and his pants.
“Fucking hell, doll,” Bucky tried to catch his breath and wrapped his arms tighter around me.
Steve halted his grip on his cock to lift me off of Bucky, tossing me onto the bed. I was exhausted but knew we were only just getting started.
“I need you now, honey.” Steve made quick work of discarding all of his clothes. “Is that alright?”
I reached out for his hand, pulling him down on top of me. “Please, Stevie.”
His eyes fluttered shut at my nickname for him and then he lined his cock up with my pussy. “I won’t last long. Seeing you on Bucky’s cock nearly tipped me over the edge.”
I ran a hand through his long hair and gave a lazy smile. “It’s alright.”
The vast difference between the two men was evident as Steve’ cock filled me. His pace was erratic, him pulling my knees to my chest so he can fuck into me even deeper.
The bed creaked beneath us, the headboard slamming into the wall, and Bucky chuckled from his corner of the room.
“This is what I would hear every fucking night. Imagining this scene in front of me; although seeing now, it’s much better than what I thought,” Bucky said.
I turned my head towards him, watching as he slowly rose from the chair to toss his clothes to the growing pile on the floor.
“Holy shit,” I mused at the sight in front of me.
Bucky was like a god, as well as Steve. A pair of super soldiers. The muscles of Bucky’s stomach constricted as he began lazily stroking his cock. I held out a hand, inviting him over to us. He was too far away, I needed to feel his body heat against me again.
“Honey?” Steve whined in my ear, causing my attention to snap back to him. “I can’t hold on.”
I pressed a kiss to his lips. “Cum for me, Stevie. It’s alright.”
I knew he wanted to try and bring me to another orgasm and felt bad. But I reassured him it was alright and soon felt himself spill inside of me; his cum mixing with Bucky’s.
Spent, he fell to the bed beside me and I gazed tiredly up at the ceiling, noticing all the faint hairline cracks that ran along it. The bed dipped at my feet and I felt Bucky’s long vibranium fingers gather the cum that started to run down my legs, forcing it back inside of me.
“We can’t have this go to waste, doll,” he pressed a kiss to the inside of my knee.
“Bucky,” I whined when he slipped in another finger. “I don't think-.”
“You can. I know you can,” his voice was gone, taken by the lust that consumed him.
Steve rose from the bed to help Bucky position me on my knees. Bucky then slipped underneath while Steve knelt behind me. His finger grazed over my puckered hole and I shivered.
We’d only have done anal a few times, more recently the last few days. It was then that I realized he was preparing me for this moment.
“Stevie,” my head fell against his shoulder.
He kissed me long and slow, savioring how I faintly tasted like Bucky.
“You can back out if you want,” he reminded me.
I shook my head. “No, I want this.”
I then looked down to Bucky, who gave me a warm smile. “I want both of you.”
It took a bit of finessing but we managed to get a perfect position as I slowly sank down on Bucky’s cock. Steve then pushed me over so my breasts could press against Bucky’s chest. His arms held me in place while Steve gathered some of the cum inside of me, coating his cock with it.
“Safe word?” He asked.
I glanced over my shoulder at him, remembering that we came up with one a while ago when we decided to start experimenting sexually.
“Mercy,” I breathed. “But don’t stop.”
“Keep her distracted, Bucky,” Steve ordered.
He did by capturing my lips in a feverish kiss, one that was a fight for dominance and ultimately, he won. My nails scraped along his scalp, causing Bucky to hiss out in pleasure.
“I’ve wanted you for so long, doll,” he admitted while moving his hips, fucking me all over again.
I brushed away the sweat sticken hair from his forehead, agreeing with a nod. “I feel the same.”
Steve left a kiss to the base of my spine. “Ready?”
I nodded and slowly, the head of his cock began to press inside of my ass and my cries were swallowed by Bucky as he kissed me again. I’d never felt so full in my life and it took me a moment to adjust to having both of their cocks inside of me at the same time.
“Tell us when, doll,” Bucky’s voice cooed in my ear.
“Go,” I urged them on.
After a moment, Steve and Bucky figured out the best rhythm that worked best and my body felt like it was in overdrive. All of my senses were heightened as both of their cocks worked in spreading me wide for them. The room filled with the scent of all three of us, tangling together with the tellings of our ever growing affair. Some might have thought this was wrong but it felt so right; so free.
This was supposed to be one night and then we would go back to our normal, everyday lives. Bucky would have to watch Steve and I be in love while he received none of that.
How was that fair to him?
How was it fair to my heart that always yearned for him?
Bucky’s vibranium fingers wrapped around my throat, his thumb titling my chin up so he can leave bruising marks there with his lips.
Steve' pace was slow, not wanting to hurt me, while Bucky’s was fast paced and down right ruthless; the perfect mixture that brought me closer and closer to the euphoric release I’d been craving.
“Doll,” Bucky bit down on the sensitive part of my neck when his second release of the night filled me.
His body fell limp underneath me but we dared not move, fear of stopping how good Steve felt inside of me.
“I love you,” Steve panted into the skin of my back.
“I love you too.”
My eyes hooked with Bucky’s and for the briefest of moments, I could see something twinkle in them. Our lips met in another kiss and not a few seconds later, both Steve and I let out our releases at the same time.
The three of us lay in a mess of tangled limbs, me snuggling up in Bucky’s chest while Steve held onto me from behind. I was sticky and wet between my legs but I couldn’t be bothered to clean up. Sleep was beginning to sink its claws into me, desperate to pull me into the darkness with it, until I felt the bed beneath me shift.
Bucky was getting ready to leave after noticing Steve was asleep, an arm draped over my stomach. But I grabbed onto his arm, stopping Bucky.
“Where are you going?”
His ocean eyes motioned to Steve behind me but I pulled him back into bed with us.
“Y/N,” he breathed.
“Please stay? For me?” I begged with bright eyes.
He brushed away a strand of hair from my face and eventually agreed with a gentle kiss to my lips. “Anything for you, doll.”
None of us knew what this meant but I think we all could agree that we’d be unable to go back to our old lives after this. I’d have to be open to Steve about my feelings for Bucky and I could only hope he’d understand that my heart was big enough to love both of them; equally.
For now though, I lay with both of them. Feeling both of their heartbeats and skin on mine lull me to the sleep my body was craving.

The music thumped against my chest, loud and pulsing, but my mind was elsewhere. I leaned against the kitchen counter, nursing a barely touched cup of whatever concoction someone had handed me. The party was in full swing, teammates laughing, dancing, and letting loose after a hard-fought win.
I should’ve been enjoying myself.
I was enjoying myself—until I heard them.
Paige’s laugh rang out first, loud and easy, followed by Ice’s deeper chuckle.
“You know I had her first,” Paige said, smugness dripping from her tone.
“Oh, please,” Ice shot back. “You barely beat me. If I had another week, she would’ve been mine.”
My stomach dropped.
No.
They weren’t talking about me. They couldn’t be.
“I mean, come on,” Paige continued. “She was so easy to pull. I almost feel bad.”
Ice snorted. “Almost?”
My breath caught in my throat.
It was me.
I felt frozen, my grip on the counter tightening until my knuckles turned white.
A bet.
That’s all I ever was to them.
I didn’t realize I was shaking until my cup slipped from my fingers, hitting the floor with a dull thud. The liquid spread across the tile, but I barely noticed. My head was spinning, my heartbeat pounding in my ears.
This wasn’t happening.
This couldn’t be happening.
I backed away before they could see me, slipping through the crowd as fast as my legs would carry me. My vision blurred, but whether it was from rage or heartbreak, I couldn’t tell.
I made it outside, the cool night air hitting my face, but it did nothing to ease the burn in my chest.
I sucked in a shaky breath, trying to calm myself, but the betrayal clawed at my throat.
“Y/N!”
I stiffened at the sound of Paige’s voice. I didn’t turn around.
“Wait—what’s wrong?” she asked, her voice closer now. She must’ve seen me leave.
I clenched my fists. “Go back inside, Paige.”
There was a pause. “Talk to me, mamas.”
I laughed. A bitter, humorless sound. “Oh, now you want to talk?” I turned, finally meeting her eyes. “Or are you just checking to see if you won?”
Paige’s face twisted in confusion. “What are you—”
I shook my head. “I heard you. You and Ice.”
Paige paled.
My voice broke. “It was a bet?”
“Y/N—”
“Was it ever real?” My voice cracked, and I hated it. Hated how vulnerable I sounded. How stupid I felt.
Paige took a step forward, reaching for me, but I jerked back.
“Don’t,” I snapped. “Don’t touch me.”
She flinched, guilt washing over her face.
I shook my head, my vision blurring again. “I thought you cared about me. I thought—” My breath hitched. “God, I’m so stupid.”
“No, you’re not,” Paige said quickly. “It started as a bet, yeah, but—”
I let out a sharp laugh. “Oh, so I was charity?”
Her eyes widened. “No! It wasn’t like that—”
“Then what was it like, Paige?” My voice was rising, but I didn’t care. “Were you gonna tell me? Or just keep stringing me along?”
She opened her mouth, but no words came out.
And that told me everything.
My chest ached, my stomach twisting in ways that made me want to throw up.
I took a shaky breath, my voice barely above a whisper. “I don’t forgive you.”
Paige’s face crumpled. “Y/N, please—”
I turned and walked away, ignoring the sound of her calling my name.
She didn’t follow me.
I didn’t know if that made it better or worse.
To be continued...

Matchmaker
hamzah x reader
summary: The reader's friend has been trying make a move at Hamzah ever since she started seeing his online personality. While the reader tries to be a supportive friend, her feelings seem to be getting in the way of things. What if he feels the same?
this came to me in a dream, hope y'all enjoy
---
"Oh my god I can't do this"
It had been like this for almost an hour now.
You and your friend Holly were in the bathroom of Mandy and Martin's apartment. Music echoed in the background as Y/n leaned against the bathroom door tapping her foot as she started to get impatient.
"Seriously girl, just go talk to him. It's really not that deep, you're making it harder than it needs to be."
Y/n didn't care if she was being blunt it was what her friend needed to hear. She had always prided herself on being a good friend. Always offering to be the DD. Always listening to the boy's problems no matter how often she recommended the friend should just break up with him. So after Holly begged her to try and hook her up with Hamzah, the answer would obviously be yes. Why wouldn't it be? Being straightforward and honest came easy, so why did she feel she was holding something back.
She gripped the door handle once more, "Just follow my lead, it's all gonna work out."
Holly let out a sigh of relief, "Seriously Y/n.. what would I do without you."
Y/n flashed her a reassuring smile before turning with a more serious expression flashed her face. Y/n knew that this was Holly's first time actually meeting Hamzah, but it definitely wasn't hers.
Hamzah had been talking to Y/n over Instagram DM's for months now. From casual replies to story posts to sending each other random memes, it was easy to determine they would get along once they finally met each other at a party.
It was almost intimidating how well they got along, Y/n admired all the effort he put into his channel and how well he managed it all. Turns out, thousands of girls felt the same way.
With Holly's hand in yours, you searched for a familiar face through the crowd until you ran into Mandy.
She turned around looking surprised, "There you are! I've been searching everywhere for you two." Mandy pointed behind her, the boys have been so obsessed with that karaoke machine, I should have never purchased it."
Y/n looked past Mandy to see Hamzah and Martin singing karaoke together as if it were a competition on who could make the most noise. Hamzah wore a pink colored shirt that fit him a little too good with a hat that allowed his dark curls to peak through.
"That's a inappropriate way to describe your friend" she thought silently.
Y/n thanked Mandy before walking up to the boys with microphones. As she approached them she could feel a slight tug on her arm as she turned around to meet Holly's worried expression.
"Don't worry" she mouthed as she continued her way over to the duo. Her heart seemed to beat harder as she reached out to touch the arm of curly-haired boy. Probably due to him being the subject of the night.
As he turned to look at you, Hamzah's face practically lite up at the sight of your face.
"Y/n! Where have you been?" He reached down and hugged you with his one free hand and still held the microphone in the other. "I kept asking Mandy about where you ran off to." Y/n chuckled into the embrace. "I wasn't even gone that long,"
"Felt like ages." He muttered. Y/n tried not to think about how just one arm completely wrapped around her waist and how his fingers dug into her hips just right.
Holly cleared her throat.
"Shoot" She almost forgot why she was here.
Y/n released Hamzah with a jolt as she stepped to the side to introduce her friend, "I wanted you to meet Holly. Holly this is Hamzah, Hamzah this is Holly."
"You said that already" Holly said softly.
"Did I? Well... you get my point." Y/n looked back to Hamzah to see him he was staring back at her almost in disbelief.
Hamzah blinked, as if suddenly snapping out of a daze. His usual easygoing smirk returned, and he turned to Holly with a friendly nod.
"Hey, nice to meet you," he said, extending his hand.
Holly hesitated for a second before shaking it, her grip noticeably stiff. Y/n could feel the tension rolling off her friend, and she silently begged Holly to just relax. This was what she wanted, right?
"You too," Holly replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Y/n talks about you a lot."
Y/n’s breath caught in her throat. Did she really? Before she could gauge Hamzah’s reaction, he chuckled, looking between the two girls.
"All good things, I hope?"
Y/n forced a laugh, ignoring the way her palms suddenly felt clammy. "Mostly," she teased, hoping to lighten the mood. "Except for the part where you butcher every song you sing."
Hamzah gasped dramatically. "Excuse you, I was putting on a performance. It’s about passion, not pitch."
Martin, who had been silently watching the exchange with an amused grin, finally spoke up. "Man, you’re gonna pretend like you weren’t just screaming into the mic?"
Hamzah shrugged. "I was creating a vibe."
Y/n rolled her eyes, but she was grateful for the slight shift in energy. She glanced at Holly, who still looked nervous but was at least smiling now. That was progress.
"Speaking of vibes," Hamzah said, tilting his head. "You’re acting different tonight."
Y/n’s heart skipped a beat. "Different how?"
His eyes searched hers, as if trying to figure something out. "I dunno," he admitted. "Just... different."
Holly laughed, breaking the moment. "Probably because she’s been hyping me up for this conversation all night."
Hamzah raised an eyebrow. "This conversation?"
Y/n winced. So much for being subtle.
"She thinks you and Holly would make a great match," Martin chimed in, completely oblivious to the way Y/n’s stomach twisted at hearing it said out loud.
For a split second, something flickered in Hamzah’s expression—too fast for Y/n to catch. Then, he smiled. "Oh yeah?"
Holly nodded quickly. "I mean, yeah. You seem cool. And I think we’d get along?"
It came out more like a question than a statement, and Y/n resisted the urge to bury her face in her hands. She wanted to help, but something about this whole situation felt... off.
Hamzah glanced at Y/n again before turning back to Holly. "Well, I appreciate the intro," he said smoothly. "But I gotta admit, I didn’t expect this."
Y/n frowned. "Expect what?"
He hesitated, then grinned. "You playing matchmaker."
Her stomach dropped. There was something in the way he said it, something that made her feel like she had completely miscalculated. Before she could respond, Hamzah lifted his mic again.
"Anyway," he said, turning to Martin. "We got a song to finish."
And just like that, the moment was over.
Y/n watched as he walked away, laughing as Martin passed him the next song choice. Holly exhaled beside her.
"That wasn’t terrible," she murmured.
Y/n nodded numbly, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something had just shifted. And she wasn’t sure if she liked it.
--
The night continued as if nothing had happened. Holly chatted away, occasionally stealing glances at Hamzah, and Y/n did her best to stay present in the conversation. But her mind was elsewhere.
She kept replaying Hamzah’s words in her head. You playing matchmaker.
Why did it sound like there was something more behind them?
After a while, Holly got up to get another drink, and Martin was too busy butchering the lyrics to some 2000s throwback to notice the way Y/n was zoning out.
That’s when she felt someone slide into the seat beside her.
"Hey," Hamzah said, voice lower than usual.
Y/n turned to him with a surprised look plastered on her face. "...Hey."
He exhaled, drumming his fingers on the table. "So... Holly, huh?"
Y/n forced a smile. "Yeah. She’s great, right?"
Hamzah tilted his head, studying her. "She seems nice."
There was something careful about his tone, something measured. Y/n suddenly felt exposed, like he could see right through her.
"You don’t seem convinced," she pointed out.
He let out a soft chuckle. "It’s not that." He paused, then shook his head. "I just—I need to ask you something."
Y/n’s stomach tightened. "Okay?"
Hamzah leaned in slightly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Why are you trying so hard to set me up with someone else?"
Her breath hitched. Feeling as though she had just been accused of murder. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes searched hers, serious now. "Is it because you actually think we’d be good together? Or because you’re trying to convince yourself of something?"
Y/n’s pulse quickened. "That’s not—"
"Because if it’s the second one," he continued, his gaze unwavering, "then I need you to tell me right now."
Y/n swallowed hard. The air around them felt heavier, charged. "Hamzah, I was just trying to—"
"To ignore this?" he interrupted.
She froze.
Hamzah ran a hand through his hair, as if frustrated with himself. "Look, I wasn’t gonna say anything. I thought maybe I was imagining things. But then you tried to push me toward Holly, and all I could think was—why would you do that? Unless you were trying to avoid something."
Y/n’s heart was pounding now.
Before she could react, he reached out, gently taking her hand in his. It wasn’t dramatic, wasn’t rushed. Just quiet, steady.
"Tell me I’m wrong," he said. "Tell me there’s nothing here, and I’ll drop it."
Y/n opened her mouth, but no words came out. Because she couldn’t say it.
"What would Holly think?"
As if he could read her mind Hamzah sighed and spoke again, "Can you please stop thinking about what everyone else wants and just tell me.. what do you want?"
Y/n felt a pang of guilt matched with a sudden urge to jump on top of the boy in front of her.
Hamzah exhaled, his grip tightening just slightly. "Y/n, I like you."
The words settled between them, heavy and undeniable.
She sucked in a sharp breath. "You—"
"I like you," he repeated, softer this time. "Not Holly. Not anyone else. And I think... I think you feel the same way."
Y/n felt like the entire world had just shifted.
Because, for the first time, she couldn’t run from it.
But she was done running.
Y/n placed her hand on the side of Hamzah's face and pulled him in for a kiss that made her forget about every person that could be watching around her.
He matched her vigor as their lips moved against each other with fever. His free hand grabbed at her waist as if it would disappear if he let it go for too long while his other hand softly ran up and down the arm still cupping his face.
Y/n broke the kiss with a shaky breath as she finally spoke, "I like you too."
The moment the words left her lips, something in Hamzah’s expression shifted. Relief. Something deeper.
"You do?" he asked, as if he needed to hear it again to believe it.
Y/n let out a breathy laugh, shaking her head. "Yeah. I do."
A slow, lopsided smile spread across his face. "Then why were you trying to set me up with Holly?"
Y/n groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Because I was just trying to make everyone happy. I thought... I don't know, I thought the two of you might have got along and I figured that was more important than what I wanted."
Hamzah chuckled, tugging her hand away from her face. "You really thought that would work?"
She shrugged, feeling suddenly shy. "It was worth a shot."
He shook his head, amused. "Y/n, I’ve only ever had eyes for you."
She felt her breath hitch at these words.
"From the moment we met," he continued, his voice quieter now, "it’s always been you."
Y/n felt her heart squeeze.
And as he laced his fingers through hers, Y/n realized she had been waiting too.

The evening air was crisp as you and Sae-byeok walked side by side, her hand loosely holding yours. It had been a month since you started dating, and while she wasn’t overly affectionate, you could tell she was getting more comfortable with you.
Still, there was one thing she hadn’t let you in on yet.
Cheol.
You knew about him, of course. She talked about him every now and then, her voice softening in a way that was rare for her. But every time you asked if you could meet him, she hesitated. Not because she didn’t trust you, but because she was protective—her brother was her world, and she wasn’t going to let just anyone into it.
So when she brought up the birthday party, you weren’t expecting what came next.
“Cheol’s friend is having some party this weekend,” she said casually, kicking a small rock along the sidewalk. “Laser tag or something.”
You smiled. “That sounds fun. I bet Cheol’s excited.”
She nodded, but there was a tension in her shoulders. “Yeah… he is.” She paused, then added, “I was thinking… maybe you could come.”
Your eyes widened. “Wait. Really?”
She glanced at you, her expression unreadable. “Yeah.”
You stopped walking, turning to face her fully. “Sae-byeok, are you sure? I don’t want to pressure you.”
She sighed, looking away for a moment before meeting your gaze again. “I know you’re good. Like, really good. And I… I want Cheol to meet you.” Her grip on your hand tightened slightly. “But if he doesn’t like you—”
“Oh, he’s going to love me,” you cut in playfully, grinning. “I’m a natural with kids.”
She rolled her eyes, but you caught the way the corner of her lips twitched upward. “We’ll see.”
You nudged her gently. “Come on, you wouldn’t invite me if you didn’t think it’d go well.”
She huffed. “Just don’t make me regret it.”
You beamed. “Never.”
As you continued walking, you could tell she was trying to hide it, but there was a small smile on her face. Maybe she wasn’t ready to say it out loud yet, but this was a big step for her.
And you weren’t going to let her down.
The laser tag arena was buzzing with energy—kids running around, neon lights flashing, and the faint hum of electronic blasters filling the air. You stood beside Sae-byeok near the entrance, watching as a small boy with familiar dark hair clung to her side.
Cheol.
He was smaller than you expected, his frame slight but his eyes sharp, just like his sister’s. He held onto the hem of Sae-byeok’s jacket, peeking up at you cautiously before quickly looking away.
“Cheol,” Sae-byeok said, her voice softer than usual. “This is…” She hesitated for a split second before saying your name. “Remember? I told you about her.”
Cheol nodded but didn’t say anything. He stared at his shoes, shifting uncomfortably.
You crouched slightly to his level, offering a warm smile. “Hey, Cheol. It’s really nice to meet you.”
He glanced at Sae-byeok, as if silently asking for guidance. She gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze. “She’s okay,” she murmured.
Cheol hesitated, then finally spoke—his voice quiet. “Hi.”
Your smile widened. “I heard you’re really good at laser tag.”
That got his attention. He peeked up at you, curiosity flickering in his eyes. “I am,” he said, a little more confidently.
Sae-byeok scoffed playfully. “He just hides the whole game.”
Cheol gasped dramatically, turning to her. “No, I don’t! I have a strategy!”
You chuckled. “A strategy, huh? Sounds like you’re a genius at this.”
His lips twitched upward, just a little. “Maybe.”
Sae-byeok watched the interaction quietly, her arms crossed. She wasn’t saying much, but you knew her well enough by now to recognize when she was relieved.
“Alright,” you said, straightening up. “Think you can show me how it’s done?”
Cheol nodded quickly, his earlier shyness already fading. “You have to stick with me, though. The older kids are really good.”
You placed a hand over your heart dramatically. “I solemnly swear to be your laser tag partner.”
Cheol giggled, and the sound made Sae-byeok glance away, like she didn’t want to admit how much it meant to her.
“Fine,” she muttered, nudging you lightly. “Let’s go before you make it worse.”
As the three of you headed inside, you felt a small, warm hand slip into yours. Cheol didn’t say anything—he just held onto you, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Sae-byeok saw it. And even though she’d never admit it, she felt her heart melt just a little.
Maybe, just maybe, letting you in wasn’t so scary after all.
The laser tag arena was dimly lit, glowing with neon blues and reds as kids darted between obstacles, their blasters flashing with every shot. You stood in the starting zone, tightening the vest around your torso while Cheol eagerly explained his strategy to you and Sae-byeok.
“Okay, so,” he began, his voice hushed like he was revealing top-secret information. “The older kids always camp at the high ground.” He pointed toward a second-floor balcony in the corner of the arena. “They think it makes them invincible.”
Sae-byeok raised an eyebrow. “And?”
Cheol grinned mischievously. “That’s why we take them out first.”
You chuckled. “I like the way you think.”
He puffed out his chest, clearly pleased with the praise. “Then, once they’re out, we stick together and pick off the rest.”
Sae-byeok sighed. “So basically, you want us to do all the work while you run around and hide.”
Cheol gasped, scandalized. “It’s called tactical positioning, noona.”
You nudged Sae-byeok playfully. “Come on, let the kid have his moment of glory.”
She rolled her eyes but smirked. “Fine. But if we lose, I’m blaming both of you.”
Cheol grinned. “We won’t lose.”
The buzzer sounded, and the game began.
Immediately, the three of you moved as a unit, ducking behind barriers and navigating the maze-like arena. Just as Cheol predicted, a group of older kids had taken control of the balcony, sniping down at anyone who passed.
Sae-byeok crouched beside you, her blaster ready. “You take left, I’ll take right?”
You nodded. “Cheol, you stay low and cover us, okay?”
He saluted. “Yes, ma’am.”
With synchronized precision, you and Sae-byeok darted forward, dodging enemy fire as you weaved between obstacles. You took down two kids guarding the stairway while Sae-byeok flanked from the other side, picking off the rest.
“Nice!” Cheol whisper-cheered from below.
The second-floor kids groaned as their vests dimmed, signaling their elimination. One of them, a lanky boy, pointed at Cheol. “Get him!”
Suddenly, a group of kids turned their attention to Cheol, who squeaked and ducked behind a barrier.
“Oh, hell no,” you muttered, immediately jumping into action.
Sae-byeok was right behind you, her expression serious as she fired rapid shots at the advancing kids. Cheol peeked out and started firing too, giggling every time he landed a hit.
It quickly turned into chaos—kids running, shouting, and getting eliminated left and right. You and Sae-byeok covered Cheol with expert precision, moving like you’d been training for this your whole lives.
At one point, Cheol turned to you with wide eyes. “You’re really good!”
You grinned. “Told you I was a natural.”
Sae-byeok scoffed but couldn’t hide the small, proud smile on her face.
By the time the game ended, the three of you were victorious. Cheol practically bounced with excitement as he high-fived you. “That was awesome!”
“You did great,” you told him, ruffling his hair.
Sae-byeok crossed her arms, eyeing you with something unreadable in her expression. It wasn’t quite admiration, but it was close—like she was realizing something she wasn’t ready to say out loud.
As Cheol ran off to brag to his friends, she leaned in slightly. “You’re good with kids.”
You smirked. “Falling for me even more, aren’t you?”
She rolled her eyes but didn’t deny it. Instead, she grabbed your hand, squeezing it just once before letting go.
Maybe she didn’t need to say anything.
Because in that moment, you already knew.
The neon glow of the laser tag arena faded as you, Sae-byeok, and Cheol stepped out into the cool evening air. The little boy was still buzzing with excitement, practically bouncing as he recounted every detail of your victory.
“And then you shot like—pew pew pew!—and noona went bam!—and they didn’t even see it coming!” Cheol exclaimed, his hands mimicking blaster motions as he walked between you and Sae-byeok.
You laughed, nodding along. “It was a flawless strategy, General Cheol.”
He beamed at the nickname, looking up at you with bright eyes. “We make a good team.”
Sae-byeok, who had been listening quietly, shook her head with a smirk. “You two are ridiculous.”
“You mean victorious,” you corrected, nudging her playfully.
She rolled her eyes but didn’t argue. Instead, she glanced down at Cheol. “Alright, champion. What do you want as a reward?”
Cheol gasped like she had just given him the greatest honor. “Ice cream!”
You gasped dramatically along with him. “Excellent choice.”
Sae-byeok sighed, clearly outnumbered. “Fine. But don’t blame me if you get a stomachache.”
The three of you made your way to a small ice cream shop nearby, the warm glow of the store inviting you in. The scent of freshly made waffle cones filled the air, and colorful tubs of ice cream lined the display case.
Cheol pressed his face against the glass, examining his options. “Hmm… chocolate sundae.”
You grinned. “Great minds think alike.”
Sae-byeok raised an eyebrow. “You’re just going to copy whatever he gets?”
You shrugged. “He clearly has good taste.”
Cheol looked up at you, eyes gleaming. “Wanna share?”
Your heart melted a little. “Of course.”
After ordering, the three of you took a seat at a small booth near the window. Sae-byeok sat across from you while you and Cheol shared the sundae, two spoons digging into the mountain of ice cream, fudge, and whipped cream.
Cheol took a big bite and immediately groaned in delight. “So good.”
You took a spoonful as well, humming in agreement. “Perfection.”
Sae-byeok watched the two of you, her chin resting on her hand as she slowly ate her own ice cream. She wasn’t saying much, but there was something different in her gaze—something softer.
Cheol, completely oblivious, offered you a cherry from the top of the sundae. “Here, you can have the first one.”
You gasped. “An honor.” You took it, popping it into your mouth with a playful flourish. “I shall cherish this moment forever.”
Cheol giggled, clearly loving the dramatics.
Sae-byeok, on the other hand, just stared at the two of you, something warm settling in her chest.
She had been hesitant about this—about letting you meet Cheol, about letting you in. But watching him laugh with you, seeing how easily he trusted you, how natural you were with him… it made something inside her shift.
She hated to admit it, but she was falling for you even more.
You caught her staring and smirked. “You okay over there?”
She blinked, quickly looking away. “You have ice cream on your face.”
You wiped at your cheek. “Did I get it?”
Cheol giggled. “Nope.”
Sae-byeok sighed, leaning forward to swipe the ice cream off with her thumb before flicking it at you. “There. Now you got it.”
You gasped in mock betrayal while Cheol burst into laughter.
Sae-byeok just shook her head, hiding her small smile behind her spoon.

Also remember: You don't need Serious Political Discussion Skills to call your representatives. You don't need to be able to make an argument that would sustain a 250-message reddit thread.
You can say "This thing here, [name of whatever], I don't like it. It's a bad policy being pushed by rich men for their own benefit. It is dangerous to me and bad for America. I want you to oppose it, as any decent person would."
Or
You can say, "This thing here, [name of whatever], it sucks. It's terrible and I hate it and if you support it than you're terrible and I hate you. I am going to tell all my friends that you are an evil scumbucket and they should never invite you to their birthday parties. You should feel bad about your whole life and then you should go to hell and wish you had been a better person. In case you missed it, you suck and I hate you."
Or
You can say, "This thing here, [name of whatever], is the WORST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER HEARD OF, YOU RATFUCKING BASTARD. YOUR HEAD IS SO FAR UP TRUMP'S ASS YOU CAN SMELL ELON'S DICK BEING SUCKED. DID YOU BURN INSECTS AND SLAUGHTER KITTENS AS A CHILD OR DID YOU JUST GO STRAIGHT TO TRYING TO KILL YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS? OH WAIT, THEY'RE NOT YOUR FELLOWS BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY HUMAN; YOU'RE A SHIT-SUCKING SLIME MOLD. I HOPE YOU NEVER GET LAID AGAIN IN YOUR LIFE."
They have to listen to you, either way. If you're talking to a machine, just keep talking until it cuts you off. You don't have to be eloquent or even coherent.
There are people who are persuasive, who offer all the relevant facts, who have the up-to-date statistics and the names of media influence orgs to drop. And they like doing that. Let them do their part.
Your part is: Jam the damn phone lines until the the interns are terrified to work in any Republican politician's office.
I can’t quite recall if it was you asking but yes, the Capitol switchboard is on fire thanks to so many outraged calls to Congress so now people can’t get through.

Remember: if you can't reach their DC office, you can call their local offices.
