Throughout season 2, it was never shown that he has the ability to take other people���s abilities. He can use them to some extent, though, as is the case with Li Tianxi, where he holds hands with her to perceive the thoughts of the person he’s possessing. But this isn’t “taking” it, just “borrowing.”

And why the thrill in wanting to experience it himself? They literally have the same powers (possession)? Did he already know at this point that CXS can dive back in time? That’s the only thing that sets him and CXS apart...
