It would be hilarious too they draw the wrong conclusion of the few months Batman adjusts to tiny rage child Dick Grayson. Only dropped by for very short periods of time, extra cranky and moody when he does, and then just did not show up for a while. Then when he does shows back up a lot more relaxed it is with a brightly coloured child. One that Superman seems to know and is the only one that does not get the Glare of I know where you sleep when interacting with them. Diana is the other exception to this glare and is quite happy about having cool aunt privileges.

Reality of it is Bruce was trying really hard to juggle having adopted a child that keeps trying to sneak out to find his parents murderer, which said child wants to murder, not letting child know he is Batman, and keeping his normal human persona. This is very had to do without the added commitments to crime fighting within his own city. Add in the League work he does and he was not doing so great at the whole sleep, and normal stuff you need to do before brains start making you ready to bite off heads at the slightest annoyance. Once it got sorted out things mellowed back to normal.

What the League thinks is Batman suddenly got moody and cranky for a couple months before he started showing up less often. Even when he did show up it was for very short periods of time and was extra snappy. When asked Big Blue just says that it is not for him to say and is private. Then Batman shows back up with small child in tow. It only takes an hour before the first joke about becoming a new mom causes an existential crisis.

No correction is ever made and Diana gives Clark a secret fist bump behind their backs of how good his poker face is for acting clueless. As the others try to ask without actually asking the question so Superman answers without actually confirming anything. It is pure gold as the others are too afraid to actually ask in a definitive way.

There should be more Justice League/Superbat fics where most heros arent really sure if Batman is even real or only know him as

with like full weird off putting batman who sticks to the shadows and moves with all the wicked grace of an executioners axe and definitely an alien comforting but to bright to look at for too long Superman

Like there's a debate on if Batman is some sort of gotham abomination of shadows brought to life slowly learning how to mimic human forms or if he's some Other type of deep space alien species.
