Its about a young woman, Jaglika (Mira Furlan), from a traditional village working in a nudist resort, creating a painful culture clash and also her discovering her (bi)sexuality

Ah damn, I know this is not the movie to have a happy end, but I really wished Jaglika would have found peace with the tourist couple (in my mind their names are Julia and Robert).

Ljeto je 1986. Na pozornici sam rimskog amfiteatra u Puli i primam svoju drugu Zlatnu arenu, ovog puta za najbolju glavnu glumicu, za ulogu u crnogorskom filmu Lepota poroka. U dugoj sam crnoj suknji, s velikim šalom preko ramena. Stojim ondje među drugim laureatima, svi držimo svoje mini Arene u rukama. Oblačna je i svježa ljetna večer. Iznenada osjećam kapljicu kiše na licu. Pogledam prema nebu: zar kiši? Druga mi kaplja padne na nos, a onda još jedna na čelo. Da, pada kiša. I onda, iznenada, nastane prolom oblaka. Pogledam oko sebe i u potpunom šoku vidim da sam ostala sama na toj pozornici. Nigdje nema nikoga. Gdje su ostali? Kiša sada već lijeva, ja sam posve mokra i stišćem svoju Zlatnu arenu u rukama. Ne samo da sam sama na pozornici, i publika u panici bježi. Amfiteatar je sada gotovo posve prazan. Kako je to moguće? Kad su svi otišli? Mora da se sve odigralo u času. U času u kojem sam gledala u nebo. Ta je sekunda očito dugo potrajala. Iduće čega se sjećam jest kako stojim u grmlju pod velikim borom blizu pozornice, mokra do gole kože u svojoj crnoj haljini bez rukava, stišćem svoju nagradu, osjećam se kao da me je vrijeme pregazilo, melankolično. Kako je to sve jadno bilo! Sav glamur sprala je kišna kap! Bilo je teško ne primijetiti ironiju. „Sic transit gloria mundi“, gotovo da sam mogla čuti bakin glas. Poruka od bogova bila je jasna: ne vjeruj vlastitoj slavi – ona ne znači ništa!

I'm gonna go with my film bro answer for this one!!!

Lepota poroka (the beauty of vice) by Živko Nikolić - this one's considered a masterpiece of Balkan cinema and it's definitely a must for everyone to see. If you can torrent it, I definitely recommend it. it's a critique on the Balkan stifling mentality of the north of Montenegro when put in with the perspective of the south of Montenegro's more openness to both progress and vice! our main character goes on a sexual awakening in a nudist camp since she's been stifled all her life by her husband who doesn't wish for anything more than the confines of his small village up in the mountains. the vice and the inability to be flexible to change or outside perspectives ultimately ends with dire tragedy.

Also for books I dunno my dude I'm more film oriented so that's why my fics read like that. @tennesseebedward calls my fics cinematic and I'm not saying they're wrong! I honestly don't think I have a favourite book. Like I'm looking at my library right now and none of them spark joy enough to be considered a favourite. Maybe Kafka's Process? (i'll call it the process until my dying breath because it reads much better than the trial - there's no actual trial in the book and you can argue that that's the point of being called the trial but this entire PROCESS that K. goes through solidifies my preference that naming the book process is a much better translation than the trial (derogatory) )

Grown Ups with Adam Sandler. I don't fucking know why but I watched it when I was young on TV and realised that ha-ha I like your funny words Funny Man!
