6. Take a Harbor Boat Tour
One of the busiest in Europe, no trip to Hamburg would be complete without visiting the so-called "gateway to Germany," famous for its huge harbor. Travel Website Design for Modern Explorers
In today’s fast-paced world, travel websites have become essential tools for wanderers seeking to explore the globe. From adventure seekers to leisurely vacationers, everyone relies on a well-designed website for inspiration, planning, and booking trips. But what exactly makes a travel website effective and appealing? It’s not just about beautiful visuals—it's about creating a seamless, user-centric experience. Let's explore the key elements of an exceptional travel website design.
1. First Impressions Matter: Captivating Hero Section
The hero section is the gateway to the user's journey. It’s the first thing visitors see and sets the tone for their experience. A successful travel website uses vibrant, high-resolution imagery of stunning landscapes, famous landmarks, and local cultures to immediately engage users. Paired with a clear and concise tagline that reflects the brand’s mission or unique selling proposition (USP), this section should invite users to explore further.
Example:
“Discover hidden gems, plan unforgettable adventures, and create memories that last a lifetime. Your journey starts here.”
2. User-Centric Navigation
A great travel website is all about ease of use. Visitors should be able to find what they’re looking for quickly, whether it's flights, hotels, destinations, or experiences. Intuitive, simple navigation, such as a clean, visible menu bar or hamburger menu, ensures users can explore different sections without confusion. Filters for sorting travel options by price, destination, or travel style (e.g., adventure, beach, cultural) help personalize the user experience.
3. Inspiring Destination Pages
Every travel website needs to inspire users with in-depth, visually engaging destination pages. These pages should go beyond generic descriptions. Incorporating local stories, cultural insights, and hidden gems enhances the connection between the traveler and the destination. To maintain engagement, the content should strike a balance between being informative and easy to digest. Videos, travel guides, and user-generated content (like photos from previous travelers) add an authentic touch.
4. Seamless Booking Process
One of the most critical aspects of travel website design is creating a hassle-free booking experience. Offering a step-by-step booking system, with transparent pricing and clear calls to action, helps users complete bookings with ease. Prominent booking buttons, minimal data entry fields, and instant price updates contribute to reducing user friction. Including features like a wish list or trip comparison tools also adds a personalized touch that encourages users to finalize their bookings.
5. Mobile Responsiveness
With an increasing number of travelers planning their trips on mobile devices, having a responsive design is crucial. Mobile-first design principles ensure that the website’s content adapts to smaller screens without losing quality or usability. Whether users are browsing from their smartphones or tablets, the site should offer the same fluid, seamless experience as on desktop.
6. Engaging and Trust-Building Content
Building trust with potential travelers is essential. Travel websites should include testimonials, reviews, and social proof to reassure visitors. Blog posts featuring travel tips, destination guides, and inspirational stories further enhance credibility. Additionally, a well-designed FAQ section can answer common queries, while customer service options like live chat build user confidence.
7. Fast Loading Times and Security
Nothing frustrates users more than slow-loading pages. A well-optimized travel website prioritizes fast loading times and secure payment gateways. Using lightweight, optimized images and ensuring all financial transactions are encrypted will enhance the user experience and trustworthiness of the site.
Conclusion: A Gateway to Adventure
A well-designed travel website is more than just a tool for booking a vacation. It’s a platform that inspires wanderlust, fosters trust, and simplifies the journey from planning to departure. By focusing on stunning visuals, intuitive navigation, responsive design, and personalized experiences, travel websites can transform casual browsers into lifelong travelers.

Cost of Living in Germany for International Students: Budgeting Tips
Germany is a popular destination for international students due to its high-quality education system and vibrant cultural scene. However, understanding the cost of living in Germany is crucial for students planning to study there. Proper budgeting can make your stay comfortable and help you focus on your studies. This article provides detailed insights and practical tips for managing expenses effectively while studying in Germany.
1. Understanding the Cost of Living in Germany
Before diving into budgeting tips, it's essential to have a clear understanding of the various expenses you'll incur as an international student in Germany. The cost of living can vary significantly depending on the city you choose and your lifestyle.
1.1 Average Monthly Expenses
On average, international students in Germany spend between €700 and €1,200 per month. This estimate includes accommodation, food, transportation, health insurance, study materials, and leisure activities. Major cities like Munich, Frankfurt, and Hamburg are more expensive, while smaller towns and cities like Leipzig and Heidelberg are relatively affordable.
1.2 Key Expense Categories
Here are the main categories of expenses you need to consider:
Accommodation
Food and Groceries
Transportation
Health Insurance
Study Materials
Leisure and Entertainment
2. Accommodation Costs
Accommodation is likely to be your most significant expense. There are various options available, each with its pros and cons.
2.1 Student Dormitories
Student dormitories are often the most affordable option, costing between €200 and €400 per month. They offer a great way to meet other students and integrate into campus life.
2.2 Shared Apartments
Renting a room in a shared apartment (Wohngemeinschaft or WG) is another popular option. Prices range from €300 to €600 per month, depending on the city and the apartment's location.
2.3 Private Apartments
Renting a private apartment is the most expensive option, with prices starting at around €500 and going up to €1,500 per month or more in larger cities. While this offers more privacy, it's crucial to factor in additional costs like utilities and internet.
3. Food and Groceries
Food costs can vary based on your eating habits and preferences. Cooking at home is generally more affordable than eating out.
3.1 Average Monthly Food Costs
On average, students spend about €150 to €250 per month on groceries. Shopping at discount supermarkets like Aldi, Lidl, and Netto can help you save money.
3.2 Eating Out
While eating out occasionally is a nice treat, it can quickly add up. A meal at an inexpensive restaurant costs around €10 to €15, while a three-course meal at a mid-range restaurant can be around €25 to €50.
4. Transportation
Germany has an excellent public transportation system, making it easy to get around without a car.
4.1 Monthly Transportation Pass
Most cities offer monthly transportation passes for students, costing between €30 and €70. Some universities also provide discounted or even free transportation passes as part of the student enrollment package.
4.2 Bicycles
Cycling is a popular and cost-effective mode of transportation in Germany. You can buy a decent second-hand bicycle for around €50 to €150.
5. Health Insurance
Health insurance is mandatory for all students in Germany.
5.1 Public Health Insurance
Most students opt for public health insurance, which costs around €110 per month. It covers a wide range of medical services, including doctor visits, hospital stays, and prescriptions.
5.2 Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance is another option, but it can be more expensive and is generally recommended for students over 30 or those in specialized programs.
6. Study Materials
The cost of study materials can add up, but there are ways to manage these expenses.
6.1 Textbooks and Supplies
On average, students spend about €20 to €50 per month on textbooks and supplies. Buying second-hand books or using library resources can significantly reduce these costs.
6.2 Technology
A reliable laptop and internet connection are essential for your studies. Budget around €20 to €30 per month for internet services if not included in your rent.
7. Leisure and Entertainment
Balancing your studies with leisure activities is essential for a well-rounded experience.
7.1 Cultural Activities
Germany is rich in cultural activities, many of which are student-friendly. Budget around €50 to €100 per month for leisure activities like cinema, museums, and social events.
7.2 Sports and Fitness
If you enjoy sports, consider joining a university sports club or a local gym. Membership fees can range from €10 to €30 per month.
8. Budgeting Tips for International Students
Now that you have an idea of the typical expenses, here are some budgeting tips to help you manage your finances effectively.
8.1 Create a Budget Plan
Start by creating a detailed budget plan. List all your expected expenses and track your spending to ensure you stay within your budget.
8.2 Use Student Discounts
Take advantage of student discounts on transportation, cultural events, and in many shops and restaurants. Always carry your student ID to avail of these discounts.
8.3 Save on Food
Cook at home as much as possible and plan your meals. Buying groceries in bulk and preparing meals in advance can help you save money.
8.4 Travel Smart
If you plan to travel within Germany or Europe, book your tickets in advance to get the best deals. Use discount websites and student travel cards to save on transportation and accommodation.
8.5 Part-Time Work
Consider taking up a part-time job to supplement your income. Germany allows international students to work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and full-time during semester breaks.
9. Scholarships and Financial Aid
Scholarships and financial aid can significantly ease the financial burden.
9.1 DAAD Scholarships
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a wide range of scholarships for international students. Check their website for eligibility criteria and application deadlines.
9.2 University Scholarships
Many German universities offer scholarships and financial aid to international students. Contact your university’s international office for information on available options.
10. Managing Unexpected Expenses
Unexpected expenses can arise, and it's essential to be prepared.
10.1 Emergency Fund
Set aside an emergency fund to cover unforeseen expenses like medical emergencies or urgent travel. Aim to save at least €500 to €1,000 for emergencies.
10.2 Insurance Coverage
Ensure you have adequate insurance coverage for health, personal belongings, and liability. This can save you from significant expenses in case of accidents or theft.
Conclusion
Studying in Germany is an enriching experience, but managing your finances effectively is crucial to make the most of your time. By understanding the cost of living and implementing practical budgeting tips, you can ensure a comfortable and stress-free stay. Remember to plan ahead, take advantage of student discounts, and explore scholarship opportunities to ease your financial burden. With careful planning and smart spending, you can focus on your studies and enjoy everything Germany has to offer.

Day 2. January 31, 2020. Christchurch to Leithfield to Governors Bay. 142kms.
This morning was leisurely. Laundry was done during the night and so ready to leave tomorrow with bags full of clean duds. Enjoying a French Press coffee ☕️ on the balcony with a cool and steady breeze my first entry was completed this morning to get back into the flow. I always have some mixed feelings regarding the commitment to the written word. It would be so much easier to jot down some quick thoughts, words and stream of consciousness but I much prefer to look back and read a product that has a bit more polish. The only real price is the time it takes to do it but once again on such a journey of length and expected grandeur, I fear details will blur and fade if not captured here on a daily basis. So, off we go. It surely makes me appreciate the process which authors and even bloggers/vloggers have to generate content flow. And this effort on Tumblr is by no means in the ballpark of authorship!
Nursing a nascent but relatively small blister after traipsing around CHC yesterday in new and a bit tight pair of Sunuks, I opted for the BMW riding shoes of Southern Africa "fame". What a comfortable option and waterproof too. Summer is in full swing here and a bright and breezy Friday morning accompanied us down Papanui Rd. towards the central district. A brief stop back at the Carlton found Ted's motorcycle baseball cap tucked securely behind the bar. 🧢 About a twenty five minute walk then took us to the central district and we enjoyed watching the ducks dive and paddle their way on the small but swiftly flowing Avon River with a Chinese orange dragon sculpture mid-stream likely placed in the river to commemorate the Chinese New Year which just started. New Zealand gets a lot of Chinese tourists. Soon we were distracted by the display of chocolates and the appealing menu at She, a chocolatier. Within minutes chilled chocolate beverages were ordered and we sat outside taking in the pedestrian traffic adjacent to some fancy shops and a large indoor food/market space. We were keen on a Malaysian place to lunch when we received a call from Kiwi motorcycle rental shop. Someone had forgotten a jacket at a nearby hotel and if we were available they would pick us up and take us to our bikes around 12:15 as opposed to the 6:30PM plan we had previously discussed. We grabbed some Asian food to go (dumplings, fried noodles/shrimp) and then hustled back to our hotel. Soon we were met by the owner and she drove us and our empty luggage the 46km out to Leithfield where they are located. I found waiting for me a basic 2015 GS800 with over 89,000km but with new tires, a fresh chain and in good operating condition. Thought I had pre-ordered a GPS but they only had one and Ted's bike has it. NP. We sorted out the final paperwork, got some tips about some gravel scenic cut through roads and had a run through regarding the bags on our bikes and off we went! Great to be back on two wheels. Always have to remember twice to stay left for the first day or so when riding in current or former 🇬🇧 Commonwealth countries and turns are strange so some attention is required not to fall back into our "right side" of the road norms... No cruise control but heated grips which may be needed in the Alpine highlands and also on the windy and rainy south/west coasts. But for now, I was glad to have my Klim mesh jacket and vented/mesh Alpinestars gloves as the sun warmed the day up to 74°. We decided to ride out to scenic Sumner Beach skirting CHC and had an expanse of the bay exposed due to low tide. Breakers were rolling in the distance against an unseen sand bar. We stopped to admire the scenery and some windsurfers and a few beginner kite boarders. I then spied a small restaurant stand selling "Trump's American Hotdogs". I was curious and of course had to order one! A heated stick cores out and heats a bun which is then filled with chili, ketchup, mustard, mayo, onions. Then a dog is stuffed in the middle. It was good! 🌭 Also took a picture of their published online response dealing with detractors regarding their use of Trump's name. They said it was better than "Hitler's Hamburgers" or "Mao's Milkshakes"! 😂
We then found our way to the winding road headed to the Godley Head Park and saw some hangliders soaring overhead. The wind socks were horizontal and along the coast winds have been steady and strong. After we ran out of road at the summit, we backtracked and proceeded to ascend Sumner Rd. It was wiped out for 9 years following the quake described in yesterday's post. The slides on a sheer cliff side took that long to be replaced. Beautiful new road with a few overlooks as you approach Lyttelton was fun to ride overlooking the turquoise sea. Lyttelton was a bit industrial and we continued down the coast to Governor's Bay. A few side roads were explored including Jetty Road (not much of a surprise where that one led) and then a turn around to ascend once again to Dyers Pass, 1,048' in elevation. On the other side now away from the ocean, you are met with a sprawling view of Christchurch with a complex network of mountain bike paths crisscrossing the hills to your left. The Christchurch Adventure Park is 880 well designed acres for sightseeing and zip lining and mountain bikes. A long chairlift was operating and ferrying outdoor enthusiasts to the top for a fun descent of about a thousand feet. We didn't stop at the Christchurch adventure park cafe/bar but that area seemed very popular. Some switchbacks as we descended through a fancy neighborhood a la Hollywood Hills down to the nearly sea level altitude of CHC. We opted to aim back to the hotel and dine in the village of Merivale. It's all good because we dined at "Tutto Bene"! Good food and then some nice locals directed us to No. 4 for a nightcap. Tomorrow begins our journey southward into the Southern Alps and details to follow regarding that interesting area. po mārie, which is good night in the language of the indigenous people from New Zealand, the Maori. 🇳🇿

hey luv! anything with bottom john would be fantastic. have a great weekend! (mclennon)
became more angsty than planned but, hey! what can ya do
1969, August,
Today was a rare instance of Paul being alone in a room with John.
George had left early due to another disagreement with Paul over the use, or lack, of the main guitar during a number. Neither would budge on their stance of it and the situation ultimately culminated in arguments and yelling and in the end, George leaving in a huff with the slamming of the door. Without him; work came to a slow pace and not long after Ringo announced that he too was leaving for the day and soon were gone too.
John was too distracted by Yoko to pay any mind to Paul and his guitar and eventually the rest of the crew slowly dispersed and left as it became clear nothing was going to happen.
Paul sat completely silent at the piano, playing a tune or two; whatever his mind threw at him at that moment. He wasn’t sure of how long he had been sitting there; he felt no rush to hurry home as Linda had travelled to New York two days previously visit her parents with Heather, so the house sat empty and quiet. A great metaphor for how the last few months at the studio had been.
He sat and thought about the day. At the slow declining turn the band was taking from how they had been only a few years ago. Of Linda nearing her due date abroad. Hoping that she would come home before the baby did. They knew it to be a girl. She was going to be named after his late mother, Mary.
The melody had turned quite sombre when John finally made his presence know. He appeared suddenly next to the piano, startling Paul and caused him to mess him his playing. He hit a harsh tone and it cut into his ear and he winced as he turned to look up at the bearded man.
“You’re still here,” he stated with no work in hiding his annoyance. Not at the fact that he was there, or at least not completely. The irritation was more guided at John’s abrupt disruption.
John smirked at him. He wore his wife’s fur coat and Paul really hoped that it was fake, though he had no intention to ask as he could only imagine what snide comment the older man would make. He had seemed to be in that kind of mood lately.
“I am,” John sounded amused over something.
Paul bit down on his lip slightly, nodded, and turned back to look at the piano keys as he tried to recall where he had left off on the song he had been working on. His fingers hovered over the right keys though he soon pulled his hand back with a sigh. John still stood beside him, still looking down at Paul. Paul fully turned on the stool to face John and with him now right in front of him; he looked up with a tired expression.
“... Is there something you want?”
John moved forward to stand in between Paul’s open legs and looked at the younger man; still with a smirk. Neither did he miss a beat when he announced his intentions, “you.”
Paul sighed as he dragged a tired hand over his face before looking back to John. While the man was still smirking; a hint of anxiety was hidden in his eyes. Paul had wanted to stand up, to walk away, but knew he was trapped in the way John stood. And John had planned it exactly like that as he knew Paul well enough to know he would have walked away.
“...John,” he muttered out the name as heavyweight placed itself in his chest.
John wanted him in a different way than Paul once had wanted John.
Paul wanted John in the way he now had Linda, and in the way John had Yoko. He wanted things to have been deeper than they ended up being; and a large part as to why they ended up broken up. It could never have been like that. They were two men. There had been Cynthia.
John wanted Paul in the way Paul once thought John had wanted Yoko. Before it turned obvious that she wasn’t just another girl, another infidelity. He had wanted Paul on the side. He wanted to continue his fling with Paul as he changed from first love to new love. Paul had been heartbroken. And unsure of his place, and of what to do. But he got himself together eventually and ended it after he had met Linda; who had made him realised he deserved more. Deserved better.
“John… We can’t. We’re both married. You got Yoko. I got Linda and a baby on the way.”
John just shrugged, smirk still painted on, much to Paul’s annoyance.
“They don’t have to know,” and John stepped closer. Legs bumping against Pauls. John placed his hands on Paul’s shoulders and… well, Paul didn’t do anything to remove them or shrug them off.
Paul couldn’t hide the fact that the offer was tempting. Even the small touches now set his skin alight through the shirt he wore and reminded him of something he had forgotten. Something he missed. God, he craved for more but he couldn’t. It wouldn’t be right. Not right to do against Linda. Or Yoko. But as John gently rested a hand on his cheek; he felt a sudden loss of control and shot up to meet John’s lips in a fierce kiss, his hands planted themselves on John’s cheeks. The feeling was rough; his soft palms against John’s beard. It was new. Strange, but not entirely bad as it gave a tingling sensation as Paul moved his mouth against John’s.
John staggered back at the sudden kiss but quickly found his footing as wrapped his arms around Paul’s waist as they deepened the kiss together. The battled for dominance in the way of touch. John had been the one to propose this to Paul and felt in a way he should have the lead. Paul had no intention to let him.
They pulled away as they at a low volume gasped for air.
“If…” Paul started and glanced around the empty studio, “... if we do this…” His sight returned to John; his hair had become frazzled much due to Paul. “We do it like we used to.”
John nodded hurriedly and threw off his jacket; blindly throwing it off to somewhere behind him. Paul pointed to the stool behind him with one demand, “sit.” It was sternly put and John immediately reacted the order with glee. Paul threw off his blazer and unbuttoned it slightly after he had pulled the sleeves up to his elbow. He came to stand in front of the sitting man, whose legs had opened to in a reversal of roles from earlier.
Paul pulled John by his stark white shirt to drag him into a kiss just as fiery as the one before. Paul couldn’t deny how truly he needed this. Of how much he had missed John’s lips on his own. All other thoughts were pushed out of his mind the moment he felt John’s chapped lips on his.
Paul gasped as John suddenly started petting and messaging the crotch of Paul’s blue dress trousers. He slowly became hard as they had kissed and as their tongue had met, but it quickly became painfully so as John continued with his light touches over his clothed dick. He moaned into the kiss and quickly John overtook it with slight biting on his lower lip. Paul groaned and grabbed the older man by the shoulder.
“Get up,” his demand came out as a growl as he pulled away from John. The man’s erection was visible in his white trousers and Paul smirked at the view of it.
He took a heavy step back and stared down at John; waiting for him to do what was ordered. And when he did; Paul continued to order him to turn around and lean over the piano’s front. John rested his hands on the closed lid of the keyboard and awaited Paul for the next move.
Paul pushed the piano stool aside with force and wrapped his arms around John’s waist to slowly undo the bottoms of the trousers as he kissed and bit the exposed neck of his lover. The trousers dropped to the floor with a shove. Paul’s hands stilled as he quickly realised with a snicker that John had gone pantsless.
“Naughty boy,” he whispered followed by a, “for me?” and a hard bite into John’s shoulder that would definitely leave a mark. No protests but only moans came from John.
Paul leaned away with a hard slap to John’s ass which he was rewarded by with a large moan from the other man. He hurried not in pulling out his own erect cock, giving it a few sauntering strokes with his now spit stained hand as he stared at John in his compromising position. He groaned at the sight; he truly had missed this.
“Paulie… please,” John whimpered and Paul finally stepped back to press himself against John. Spreading the buttcheeks; he soon buried himself into John with loud groans from them both. He had awarded John with no preparation and only with spit as lube as he slammed hard into John in quick succession. He used the help of one hand to keep himself and John still; his nails hard into John’s waist as he continued in a rough rhythmic fashion. The other had snaked around to the front and was stroking off John at a leisurely pace, much to the aggravation of the man at his mercy. If his whimpers and pleas were any indication.
He felt John tighten around him and moved his hand to the tip of the man’s cock as he growled into his ear, “don’t stain the piano.”
John came with a moan and a yell; spilling into Paul’s hand that wasn’t enough as the white liquid dripped onto the wooden flooring.
Paul quickly followed suit and instinctively pressed himself hard and deeply into John as he came just as loudly as John had. His nails dug harder into John’s soft flesh as they groaned in a harmonized union. He filled him up and felt his own cum around him as he slowly pulled out of his friend.
He wiped his hands on John’s bare skin and pulled his dick back into his pants; not caring at all about the stains it would create on the soft material. John tapped a short melody, one reminiscent of what they used to play in Hamburg and Paul’s heart skipped a beat at the familiar tune, on the piano’s back before pulling his pants back up and turning to look at Paul with a hazed but satisfied look in his eyes.
Paul was unsure of what to say. He hadn’t done something like this with John since they last fucked in the bathroom at Brian’s apartment during the press launch of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club. John had been incredibly high on… something. What Paul had never managed to find out. And all the while they were together that day; he had thought of Linda. The bright young woman he had met days previously at a night club who, by chance, also had been hired to be one of the press photographers at the launch.
Oh, Linda. A reminder that had come too soon.
So, he said nothing. And neither did John, who passed Paul with a quick pat on his cheek as he went to get his jacket from the floor. He bent over with a groan as he picked it up and turned to Paul with a quick grin and a wave and then…. Then he was gone. Gone to his wife. His Yoko.
Paul was left alone. Alone in the suddenly warm and claustrophobic room. He breathed deeply and hurried to get his things and hurried to get back home to his quiet and empty house.

[TRANS] Nichkhun’s Interview with SUDSAPDA Magazine (March 2019)
[Thai-English Trans by Daffodil0624]
Nichkhun Horvejkul
Turning 30, Growth and New Challenges in Life
Speaking of 2PM’s Nichkhun, we all know he is a globally famous K-Pop idol and one of the top idols in Asia. Especially for Thai people, Nichkhun has been the pride of Thailand. He has demonstrated his capabilities in the South Korean entertainment industry as a Thai idol who has become highly successful.
Over ten years as an idol in South Korea, Nichkhun is constantly improving himself in order to prove his abilities. He has grown both in his versatility and attitude towards life. Nevertheless, one thing that remains perpetually unchanged is his youthful looks that many people envy.
Despite his boyish looks, Nichkhun is already 30.
“I am 30 years old and turning 31 this year. (Nichkhun was born on June 24, 1988.) I don’t feel old. I still feel young. I still want to learn new things because there are so many things I don’t know. I don’t feel old if I don’t think of the number. Every now and then I was a bit shocked about my age after meeting new idols. When I asked their age and they replied 18, hmm… I am pretty old actually.” (laugh)
“Physically, I get tired a bit more quickly than before. (laugh) But I have always kept my body fit. I take a few vitamin supplements. I focus on exercising regularly, going to the gym, and playing golf and badminton. I have always encouraged my fans to exercise. Don’t gain weight. My fans often said they would wait for me to gain weight first.” (smile)
(SUDSAPDA: You have such a youthful appearance for a 30-year-old man. Can you tell us your tips for staying young?)
“Using Dr. Jill as my skincare product. (laugh heartily) It’s a product selling time. However, the most important things are getting enough sleep, drinking plenty of water and exercising. These are 3 things you need to do along with applying good skincare products. If we don’t take care of ourselves, using expensive skincare products won’t help. I have to take good care of myself and maintain a high level of discipline. I don’t have much time (because of my busy schedules). I don’t sleep or eat meals at a regular time. Sometimes I am in a hurry and have to eat fast food like hamburgers or French fries. Eating a lot of fast food is unhealthy.”
Seeing the world through the eyes of a man who has grown up
“I have become more relaxed with my work system. In the past, I was too strict with myself and people around me. Everything had to be perfect. You could not veer off track. I was very serious and stressed out with my works. Nowadays, I have learned that everyone has different capabilities and personalities. Other people may be different from the kind of person I am. Nobody is right or wrong. We don’t have to adjust people around us to be like us. We should find the middle ground. Compromising is the best solution.”
“These days I am trying not to stress myself out. I believe this is one of the reasons I still feel young. I am enjoying everything around me unceasingly. As I mentioned before, it is important that we have to take care of our body. However, our thoughts and mind are the most important. My age may change but my endeavour to improve myself and to be a better man remains unchanged. I am always trying.”
“In my 20s, I was like a kid who went to Disneyland for the first time. Everything looked like fun and exciting. I could not clearly remember everything I did during the time. Every day I met new people. I had so many new works/things to do that I could not focus. I did not know whether I did those things because I wanted to or because I had to.”
“When I was 25, I started to manage myself better. I began to learn how to behave as a singer and a star. I was extremely busy and stressed. As I said earlier, I was too strict with everything. I never let things go. Everything needed to be perfect. Now that I have reached my 30s (smile), things seem more relaxing. I have learned to let go. I have learned how to talk to certain people and how to treat them while I am working. I think I have become more mature as I get older.”
Eleven years as a Korean idol
“Twelve to thirteen years ago, I moved to Korea to become a JYPE trainee. I took singing, rapping, dancing, acting, and Korean classes. It was similar to a boarding school. My dorm was next to the company. I went to the company in the morning to practice, had my lunch break, and went back to practice. I went home in the evening or at night. I didn’t know what my future would be like because I had not debuted yet. After debuting, we had a very busy work schedule. I had an opportunity to work in Thailand too. My life was surrounded by things like fame and money. At first, my mother was worried about whether I would get carried away and become arrogant. Fortunately, I am Thai. My parents have taught me to behave appropriately according to time and place and to show respect for elders. I know that I should do the “wai,” Thai traditional form of greeting to greet and say goodbye. It is something I do habitually. No matter where I live, as a Thai person, I always behave politely, humbly and respectfully towards others. It is fortunate I have these characteristics. To be honest, I don’t have time to become conceited. (smile) I have a very intense work schedule. Every so often I was so busy I didn’t know what I was doing. I just did what they told me to do. At times, things went by in a blur.”
“I respect the Korean way of work. They are methodical and control everything explicitly. They would tell us exactly what we cannot do. A manager lived with us in our dorm. Every time we wanted to go out to see our friends, we had to ask for his permission first. If he said it was okay to go, we had to come back to the dorm on time. Our Korean teams are strict but they have their reasons. If we think thoroughly, we are considered a product. If anything happens to us, it is like their product is damaged. The company may suffer losses after assessing the cost of production.”
(SUDSAPDA: When did you know you became well-known as an artist?)
“When I went out and people wanted to take photos with me, walked or ran to follow me around. It was a little strange. After times passed, I have understood this is my life. I have to face these things from now on. I have to accept the ways things are and be able to adjust myself.”
“For 11 years as 2PM’s Nichkhun, I have to fight a battle since the very first day I made a decision to walk this path. Every day is a battle. The battle within myself occurs most frequently and is the toughest battle I have fought. We hardly have to fight with everything around us that we have no control over. What we are able to control is our action, mind, thought and speech, all of which can affect everything in our life. I believe a battle within oneself is most arduous.”
“I have regularly reminded myself if I live a leisurely and easy life, I will never grow or improve. We have to encounter both positive and negative experiences. Then we will become a better person. We will know things more than we previously knew. Lastly, we will be able to think more comprehensively. I feel fortunate for having a chance to work and live overseas. I have been able to learn people’s thoughts in each country that I visited. Applying and learning from different thoughts, I have gained a broader perspective and become more understanding and perceptive of other people.”
Thai idol
Pride vs Expectation
“The word ‘idol’ paved the way for me until I have reached this position. I don’t feel like I am an idol though. Most people possibly consider idols as someone untouchable. I prefer to believe I am working and having a career as an actor, a singer and an artist.”
“I have to say I was lucky for getting into music business during the period of the global K-pop boom. I am one of the first foreigners who have become successful in South Korea. It was such great timing. I have been fortunate for meeting and working with great people. Luck and opportunity came along at the right moments.”
“I have often heard sentences like: “Nichkhun is the first Thai who has become successful in the Korean entertainment business. Nichkhun is the pride of Thailand.” My feelings after hearing these sentences have changed. Initially, I didn’t know how well-known or successful I was. When I heard these sentences, I felt like it was a burdensome expectation. I didn’t understand why people had to say I was the national pride. During that time, I was just trying to fulfil my responsibilities. After a while, I have understood that I have received this nickname because I am Thai. People admire me for being able to come this far. That’s why I am careful not to do anything that will damage the reputation of my country. I have always tried to think good thoughts, say good words, and do good deeds. In reality, I am human and I make mistakes sometimes. However, I have drawn a line for myself that I will never cross. I have always felt that Thai fans are my personal pride. They have given me moral support until I am able to come this far. Being considered as the pride of my country is one of the great honours of my life.”
2PM and their strong friendship
“My achievement as a member of 2PM is one of the most memorable things in my life. However, what impresses me most is the fact that six members of 2PM who are remarkably different have been able to work and live together like we are in the same family. I am glad that in my life I have met and become friends with these five people. To be frank, during the earliest days of working together as a band, we were still competitors. (laugh) We didn’t totally hit it off. There were some feelings like I wanted to have more airtime or singing parts. Nevertheless, we have worked together for a long period of time now. We have experienced several good and bad situations together. We have stood by each other through thick and thin for 10 years. Including our trainee days, we have been together for 12 years. I know they are my true friends. I can say I consider them my real friends whom I am willing to sacrifice my life for. Nowadays, when anything happens, we yield to (the wishes or opinions of) each other.”
(SUDSAPDA: Younger idols consider 2PM as an exemplary boy band. How do you maintain strong friendships in the group?)
“Opening up to each other. Living and spending time together almost all the time, we sometimes got irritated, angry or mad at each other. Even people in the same family get mad at each other occasionally. When we were upset or had some conflicts, we would honestly talk to each other. Even though they were issues between two people, six of us would get together to straighten things out. Everything had to be clear before we went our separate ways or went to sleep. We would not leave things unresolved. These days we know each other inside out. If someone has certain facial expressions, we know what’s on his mind (or know that there’s something wrong).”
Nichkhun’s free days
“Besides exercising, if I have a free day, I usually stay at home. I hardly go out. I work overseas, travel, and stay at hotels all the time. When I have some free time, I want to stay home. I enjoy cooking and eating. I have a dream that one day I will open a restaurant. I have more work schedules in Thailand lately. If I have some spare time, I often go to Hua Hin with my family. If I don’t have much time, I try to see my family every time I come back. I had a meal with over 20 relatives recently. It felt great. Thailand is my home no matter what.”
Nichkhun’s pride in his first solo album
“I consider releasing a solo album as a new step in my career. It is a new challenge for me in my thirties. I have said time and again that my path in the entertainment business truly started below zero. I had no interest in singing, dancing, or performing in front of hundreds or thousands of people. After passing the audition and becoming a JYPE trainee, I began to learn and practice everything. It’s like I started counting from zero. Ten years later, I have an opportunity to release my own album. It makes me profoundly proud of myself. At the same time, I have wondered why I didn’t do it earlier.” (laugh)
(SUDSAPDA: Why didn’t you release your album in your twenties?)
“During the time, I had never thought I was a talented singer. I never thought I would be able to sing alone. I didn’t have any confidence. I have small singing parts in 2PM’s albums but I have been happy with my works. I enjoy working with my friends. If some of us have something lacking in certain areas, we help to complement each other. Now that some of my friends are in the army, I have to find my own path. Focusing solely on acting is too limiting. I would like to try doing something different. Releasing a solo album is definitely new for me. I was deeply anxious that I had to perform in a two-hour concert alone. I didn’t know whether I would do it well or be able to hold everything together in front of thousands of audience members. After I went on stage and started performing, I felt relieved that everything went smoothly. Huh… I am not as bad as I thought. (smile) I worried beforehand.”
“I am thankful for having been a member of 2PM for 10 years. I can perform in a solo concert today because of prior experiences with my friends. I think of my solo album as the first step to being an artist, not an idol. My album “ME” results from the music styles I like. I have participated in composing and writing songs, singing and playing musical instruments. I have come up with concepts for each song and decided how it was going to begin and end. Then my producers helped me creating music. I cannot do everything all by myself. At the moment, I have been practising piano and guitar for my concerts so frequently my fingers hurt. I want to be proficient at playing these instruments because I aim to create my own songs all by myself. I want to make music that appeals to a broad base of fans, music that they can listen to any time.”
“I like every song in my album “ME.” If I have to choose, Mars is my favourite song. I once had an idea that I wanted to make a song called Mars. I wrote this song while I was on the way to vacation in Hua Hin with my family. Sitting in the van alone, I hummed a tune and felt these melodies were pretty good. I recorded them on my phone and wrote the lyrics later. I asked my friend who composed my first song, Let It Rain, to listen to the melodies. We had a discussion and I told him I wanted it to be a song with only piano (and vocals). After he played these melodies for me, I recorded the song. From what I have learned, a good time to write a song is when I have a clear head. The easiest time is when I take a shower. A warm shower can be so relaxing my mind is bright, clear, and overflowing with ideas and melodies. Sometimes I had to hastily pick up my phone to record these ideas even before I finished taking a shower.” (laugh)
Nichkhun’s upcoming works
“I released my album “ME” at the end of last year. I am planning an Asian Tour this year. For Thai fans, please wait a little longer. I will absolutely hold a solo concert in Thailand. We are having a discussion about timing. I will release an international version of my album which includes a Thai version as well. Please stay tuned for my upcoming works. I have always told my fans I want them to be happy, healthy, and wealthy. (smile) I may not be able to see all of my fans. What I can give you most is an inspiration and my works that I have put a lot of effort into. Whenever you are sad or disheartened, I want you to listen to “ME.” I hope you will be happy and feel encouraged to keep going.”

Do you want to know how your sign chooses to relax during the holidays? Your relaxation is defined! Read relaxation tips for every zodiac sign to discover more.
♈
Aries: Aries has a highly impulsive nature and cannot relax lying on a sofa. If you ever find Aries in a horizontal position, it would be in a tent hanging from a monstrous cliff! Leisure activities of Aries’ choice include mountain biking, downhill skiing, surfing and, of course, rock climbing. A more understandable way of relaxing after such adventurous activities is having a hamburger and a fancy beer from a microbrewery.
♉
Taurus: Self-indulgent Taureans frequently treat themselves to a day at a spa, a relaxing massage with essential oils and a glass of champagne afterwards. Without any of the ingredients, a relaxation won’t count. If you had a hard working day the best way of relaxation for you is potatoing, as it will help you restore both your mental and physical abilities. Don’t disregard the cravings of your body and soul!
♊
Gemini: Geminis are people of double personality who can find equal joy in a quiet stay-at-home vacation that includes solving puzzles and a loud active day-off in the park with numerous friends. You’re able to find moments of relaxation in numerous things – drinking a cup of coffee in solitude, doing crossword puzzles, or chatting with your best friend. But in case you need face-to-face contacts and fresh air take your pals to the park and spend a wonderful time playing Frisbee.
♋
Cancer: Cancerians love to spend quality time with their family: having a hearty dinner, playing sports, or just reminiscing the old times. They would never trade the company of their loved ones for the world, even if the options are a visit to a spa or a course of oil therapy. If you want to make your holiday truly unforgettable spend it with your close ones enjoying a hearty dinner or a long walk in the nearest park.
♌
Leo: Leos love going out and showing off. A perfect relaxation for them will be an evening out at the theater with close people. Or they can dress to impress and draw the attention of every person at the mall while having a shopping spree in a company of friends. Remember that the more people look at you and adore you the better and more confident you feel! Be especially careful with your outfit ideas, as one incautious step may spoil the whole picture!
♍
Virgo: Virgos enjoy tidying up, so their typical day-off will be filled with cleaning, dusting, washing, bleaching and vacuuming. To prolong relaxation, they may also try to devise a scheme for junk disposal optimization or something like that and celebrate the achievement with a glass of their favorite drink. If you want to spend your holiday outdoors choose a park picnic or any other activity that will give you a chance to clean the place afterwards!
♎
Libra: Every side of Libra’s life is all about balance, and relaxation makes no exception; this is why most appropriate ways of relaxation for Scales include yoga, meditation, quiet music and a full-body massage. There is even no need to go to a gym – organize these relaxing sessions right at your place and invite your friends to share this joy of harmony with you! Or opt for outdoor yoga to start your day with positive thoughts!
♏
Scorpio: Scorpios enjoy talking to their friends or virtually anybody who can sustain a decent conversation, be it a celebrity gossip, a discussion of important plans or just a small talk. If you’re too tired after a long and hard workweek and need something more essential and reviving than mere chatting visit the closest café or a club. You’re sure to make new friends, acquire new experience, and feel truly relaxed!
♐
Sagittarius: Sagittarians seek unity with nature, water, in particular. Be it skiing in the snowy forest, skating on a frozen lake or lying on a beach and listening to the ebb, being close to water in any of its aggregate states is sure to replenish your stamina. Water is in fact your best friend when it comes to a short rest after a laborious work day. Just take a glass of water or orange juice and you’ll soon see all your worries flow away.
♑
Capricorn: Capricorns can truly relax only if they unleash their creativity. Painting, writing, dancing, sculpting, composing or playing music – choose your favorite art and knock yourself out! To spend a wonderful holiday outdoors take your palette to the nearest garden and feel free to express yourself through the brightest colors you can ever imagine. In case you see yourself as a writer assay your strength composing a curious short story!
♒
Aquarius: Aquarians have found an alternative outlet for their creative self – they take interest in cooking! Choose a gourmet recipe and imagine yourself wearing a toque blanche in the middle of a five-star restaurant kitchen or try to invent your own delicious recipe from scratch! The longer the day of cooking is the better it’s for you, as there are so many appetizing dishes you can prepare when well-inspired!
♓
Pisces: Pisces is into arts and crafts, so it would be a good idea to relax while arranging the long-forgotten and stashed-away photos from your trip to Europe into a masterpiece of a scrapbook. Get relaxed and inspired while cutting, pasting, shaping, and drawing both your best pictures and your memories! This is the most proper and logical way of completing your adventurous journeys and satisfying your adventurous nature!

Your scriddler fic was fantastic! I was wondering if we could see something with more interaction between them? Maybe the first time they find a moment alone after their separation, or maybe the fallout from the incident with Ed and Scarecrow? Or anything else really, I just would love to see how your versions treat each other when they're alone. Thanks~!
Aww, thank you so much, anon! I’m so glad you liked it!
Rest assured, I’m working on writing another fic which will depict the incident where Scarecrow tried to kill Edward as well as another fic showing you all a slice of Jon and Ed’s domestic life (namely, Edward’s cleanliness vs. Jonathan’s messiness).
But, for now, I can certainly write you a drabble about their first moment alone after the events of All By His Lonesome - and that’s exactly what I did! Hope you enjoy this one as much as the last ;3
Characters: Edward Nygma, Jonathan Crane, Harley Quinn, Harvey Dent; mentions of Bane and Jervis Tetch.
Pairing: Jonathan Crane/Edward Nygma.
Warnings: Mentions of bodily harm and blood, implied homophobia.
All material belongs to DC Comics (although, my interpretations of the characters are used).
Link to fic on AO3
…
“The hell is everybody?”
Edward didn’t look up from his book, but he couldn’t help the slight jolt he gave at the sudden speech; when he’d heard footsteps, he’d assumed they were a guard and that they’d walk straight passed the relaxation room’s door. But no, it was just Jonathan, standing there with a frown of confusion upon his face as he looked around the near-empty room. Edward was the only inmate in there, which was very peculiar indeed.
Sure, the asylum had seen a drop in inmates lately, but…still.
Edward pushed his glasses up his nose and carried on reading, but granted his partner a reply, “Haven’t you heard all the yelling?”
“No?”
“Really? Huh. Well, there’s an…incident going on outside, in the yard. Apparently, the prospect of Bane finding a new victim to whale on and turn into hamburger meat was just too tempting for the vast majority of us in here.” He flipped a page. “I wasn’t interested, however.”
“Huh,” Jonathan muttered, walking leisurely into the room and giving it another wary once-over. His gaze fell upon the television in the corner, which had long-since become Jervis’s favourite entertainment source in there, even though it only played static nowadays. An eyebrow raised at the Mad Hatter’s absence. “Not even Jervis stayed?”
“He’s the victim.”
“Ah.”
Another page was flipped as Jonathan took the short walk to the sofa, sitting down on the farthest cushion on the left, leaving a space between he and Edward once more. He looked down on the floor to find whatever object of ‘entertainment’ had been left behind, found the pack of cards and grumbled as he picked it up and slid the cards from their battered old box. He shuffled them over and over in calloused hands, brown eyes trained upon them as he did so.
Edward couldn’t quite help the smile on his face as Jonathan carried out his task, not only amused by his lover’s disgruntled attitude toward having to play with cards like this, but delighted at realising that this was their first moment alone since their separation. They’d been able to have time together, sure, but that was surrounded by the other inmates, so they could never be too affectionate or intimate, lest they receive any ill treatment. Even if the other inmates weren’t a problem, Harley had taken to following them around in order to get close to Jonathan again and, while Edward considered her a friend all fine and well, he wished she’d leave them alone so they themselves could be close again.
He hadn’t found it in himself to tell her to piss off, though.
Jonathan tipped his head back and yawned, mouth opening widely to release the air, and Edward flipped another page and didn’t look up from his reading, yet frowned tightly at how Jonathan hadn’t covered his mouth. “Tired?”
“Hm,” Jonathan hummed his reply, slipping fingers and thumb beneath his glasses to rub his eyes. “I dunno how you manage ta sleep through Harvey’s late night yammerin’ ta himself.”
Edward’s smile widened; Jonathan’s Southern accent always got thicker when he was tired. There was a time where he’d sought to rid himself of it entirely, but he realised his wish not to be judged for his accent meant he was bowing to a type of fear, and Jonathan Crane feared nothing, so he had let his lessons in accent-altering slip and had kept the Georgian accent ever since.
“I don’t,” Edward replied, then covered his mouth delicately with the pads of his fingers as he let out his own yawn. “I’m just as tired as you are, dear.”
“Hm,” Jonathan repeated, and went back to his cards. “Don’t help that ‘m bored outta my goddamn mind…”
With a puff of a chuckle, Edward relented, shut his book and held it out to Jonathan. “Here.”
Jonathan looked up from his cards, currently sorting them into red and black on his thighs out of lack of interesting things to do.
“I’ve already read it twice. Grimms’ Fairy Tales. You might find some inspiration.”
Jonathan chuckled lowly and collected up the cards on his thighs, messily pushing them together until they were all aligned, then he slid them back into their packaging and took the book with his free hand. “Thank ya,” he said, frowned lightly at his own speech, then offered the pack of cards. “You want these?”
Edward plucked the pack from Jonathan’s palm and opened the package to slide out the cards. He began arranging them in order, ace to king, red and black, and Jonathan snorted and smiled as he watched for a few seconds.
Growing bored with the display, Jonathan sat back on the couch, got comfortable and opened the book up to begin reading.
The couple settled into a comfortable silence, punctuated only by rustling paper as Jonathan turned a page or the smooth sliding of card on card as Edward shuffled the pack’s components. It took no time at all for Edward to sort the cards into the order he wished for them to be in and he gave a satisfied nod as he dropped them back into their cardboard packaging.
With his hands free and now with nothing to do, Edward rolled his shoulders and stretched his arms above his head, trying to work that crick out of his neck. As he did so, a pair of legs was suddenly laid out across his thighs and Edward froze, eyes flying open and gaze flicking down to the white trainers on the edge of his right thigh, the soles caked with soil and dirt from solitary confinement.
Nose wrinkling, Edward shook his head and shoved at Jonathan’s legs. “Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, you get those shoes away from me, Jonathan Crane.”
Jonathan grunted as his feet hit the floor, raising an eyebrow but not looking up from his text. “Ya let me rest my legs on ya when we’re at home.”
“Yes. But you’re not usually wearing shoes in our house.”
“Ya won’t let me.”
“Damn right I won’t.”
Jonathan snorted and flipped a page. Edward’s first words to him whenever Jonathan entered their house were always a command to remove his shoes. Admittedly, Jonathan did often forget to remove his boots and thus tracked in mud; it was probably a good thing Edward was so particular about dirt, otherwise he could’ve recreated his childhood farm from the amount of soil he brought in.
“C’mon, Ed. I wanna stretch out my legs.” Jonathan gave an uncomfortable shuffle.
“Do you, now?” Edward asked sarcastically, a teasing smile growing upon his lips as he remembered the key detail here: he and Jonathan were finally alone together. They could do whatever they wanted, as even the guards had rushed off to see to Bane and Jervis’s spat, and that meant Edward could indulge himself in one of the more favourable things to do with Jonathan.
“I do.”
“Then I suppose you’d like to lay down.”
“That’d be the idea, yeah. But you don’t want my shoes anywhere near ya.”
“Well,” Edward said, eyeing the aforementioned white trainers distastefully. “I don’t want them near my hands, in the very least. So,” he straightened up and smiled mischievously. “I suppose we’re to compromise, seeing as I don’t want to remove myself from this couch and you apparently don’t want to remove your shoes -”
“Get in trouble fer that,” Jonathan reminded him, flipping a page. “They’ll think ‘m hidin’ somethin’ in ‘em. An’ I‘ve been in enough trouble lately.”
“Hm.” Edward nodded. He closed his eyes, heart hammering against his ribs in excitement. “Well. I think the compromise we’re to make is pretty simple. Don’t you, Dr. Crane?”
Jonathan knew exactly what he was talking about; he was smirking, but still wasn’t looking at him. There was something about that that bothered Edward, not receiving the most attention from Jonathan, even after all the time they’d spent apart.
Edward ducked his head, smile growing wider, before he gave an exaggerated yawn, threw his arms up over his head in a faux stretch, then flopped down sideways.
As he did so, Jonathan picked his feet up from the floor and rested them on the sofa’s arm and lifted up his own arms simultaneously, just as Edward’s head dropped down and landed upon his chest. Jonathan lowered his arms again, hands hovering over Edward’s back as he clutched the book still, and Edward’s smile turned peaceful as he clutched a handful of Jonathan’s overalls in one fist, head tucked under the ex-professor’s. He was squeezed between the sofa and his partner’s side and so gave a shuffle to slot himself between the other man’s legs, now laying atop of Jonathan properly, feet propped up on the sofa’s arm, between both of Jonathan’s.
Heart thumping madly at being able to cuddle with Jonathan again, Edward raised his head to speak, “Oops. Sorry, professor, I seem to have fallen.”
“S’alright, Mr. Nygma. Guess you can say ya’ve fallen fer me.”
Edward faltered, then frowned tightly. “How dare you make a pun I didn’t think of first.”
Jonathan snorted and grinned cheekily, but he still wasn’t looking at Edward, still reading that stupid book, and that made Edward frown even more.
Rolling onto his back, Edward glanced with critical eyes at the storybook, then raised a hand and pushed until the book was pressed down to his own stomach, forcing it away from Jonathan’s eyes. Taking a peek at Jonathan, he found him staring at the ceiling instead.
Edward huffed. “You’re teasing me now.”
“Me? I would never.”
“Jonathan,” Edward said, tone warning as he rolled back onto his belly. With one finger, he pressed Jonathan’s chin, as if his on switch would be there. “Look at me.”
Finally, brown eyes flicked to him. “Need somethin’, Ed?”
“Yes. I need you to look at me.”
“Whatever for?”
“I just want you to look at me.”
“Want? So…not need? As in, it isn’t important if I do or don’t?”
“Jonathan.”
Jonathan chuckled and finally released his book, settling his hands on Edward’s shoulder blades instead. “Alrigh’, alright. ‘m lookin’ at ya. What do ya need, besides my utmost attention, apparently?”
“I need you,” Edward began seriously. “To kiss me.”
“That all?”
Edward scoffed. “‘That all’, he says. Well -”
“Edward.”
Edward felt irritation at being interrupted, as he was at the beginning of a rant, but paused as he saw the smile on Jonathan’s face and the soft look in his eyes. Understood; this was no time for any ranting or lectures.
Shuffling slightly to get closer, Edward leaned up and pressed his lips to Jonathan’s, feeling Jonathan’s chapped lips pucker slightly as he returned the kiss. The kiss was gentle and sweet, relief spreading through both men at finally being able to kiss each other again, but it also had a certain firm pressure behind it as a silent way of expressing their grief at having been apart at all. Jonathan’s left hand was on the back of Edward’s head, Edward’s fists were bunched up in the front of Jonathan’s overalls, and neither man moved for a good ten seconds before the kiss was broken and both pairs of eyes opened, green staring into brown and brown staring right back into green.
“…I really did miss you, y’know,” Edward admitted softly. “I…didn’t know where you were…”
Jonathan nodded, understanding, and gently stroked his hand down the back of Edward’s head, through his dark hair. “I missed you too, Ed. Ya demanding little thing.”
“Little?” Edward frowned deeply. “You’re not that much taller than me.”
Jonathan scoffed and chuckled, shaking his head slightly.
“You aren’t! Besides, it isn’t my fault you’re so lanky.”
Jonathan snorted once more. “No, it isn’t. Bad genes, I guess.”
Edward smiled gently, despite himself, and chuckled lightly. “I hear that,” he muttered, lowering himself back down to rest his head on Jonathan’s chest again, cheek pressed against his top set of ribs. He yawned, felt Jonathan pick his book up from where he’d left it on Edward’s lower back, and wiggled slightly to get more comfortable as he slipped his eyes closed. Softly, he requested of him, “Wake me up if someone comes in…”
“Sure,” Jonathan said, flipping another page.
It didn’t take long at all for Edward to slip into a comfortable slumber, the first proper rest he’d gotten in ages, and not long afterwards did Jonathan’s book fall free from his grasp as he too fell asleep, head tilted back against the sofa’s arm and snoring softly into the air; Edward proved to be a much cosier and much warmer blanket than the one provided by the guards.
Jonathan was later awoken by a finger tapping at his cheek and he grunted and flinched against the touch, turning his head sharply away from it, and one hand came up to rub at his face as a high-pitched voice broke through the last layers of sleep, “Wake up, ya lovebirds! No time ta be restin’, the brawl’s over.”
Jonathan shifted slightly to bring himself into a sitting position, Edward still fast asleep and being dragged along with him as he pulled himself up, then brown eyes looked to the face of Harley Quinn, who was leaning over the back of the sofa and still yammering away, “Bane won, o’ course, but now he’s in confinement, like you were, Jonny! Oooof, Jervis is gonna be nursin’ them bones o’ his for a while, ya shoulda seen it, Jonny! His nose was like a geyser!” She made an explosion noise with her lips and the corresponding action with her hands.
Jonathan snorted, more at her rendition of the fight rather than Jervis’s injuries, and poked at Edward’s shoulder. “Edward. Time ta get up.”
Edward groaned irritably, shifting against him, and hugged Jonathan’s waist, nestling his nose into his belly. “Five more minutes, Jon…”
“We haven’t got five minutes. C’mon. People are comin’ in now.”
Edward groaned again, but his eyes flicked up and he sat up, peeling himself from his boyfriend and sliding a hand under his glasses to rub at his eyes.
Footsteps sounded from outside the door and in stalked Harvey, who took one look at the two men on the sofa and snorted, nose wrinkling at them both as he bypassed the couch and moved over to the pool table that was missing more than half its balls. “Please. Don’t break up the love fest on our account.”
“Oh, don’t worry, Harvey,” Edward said curtly, straightening his glasses. “We’re not.”
Harvey grunted, then gave a groan of tired disgust as Edward leaned over, tilted Jonathan’s chin with the pads of his fingers and kissed him sweetly.
Harley gave an over-exaggerated giggle at the display, clapping her hands like it was a show, and the kiss was broken and the two men readjusted themselves on the sofa.
Jonathan picked up his book and opened it back up to his page, pushing his glasses up his nose with one hand, and Edward hugged his arm and laced his fingers with those on Jonathan’s right hand as it fell back to his lap. They remained like this until more people arrived, then Edward released him and slid to the far end of the sofa, and Harley leapt over the sofa’s back into the spot between them, taking over in leaning against Jonathan’s arm as she excitedly asked the ex-professor what he was reading.
Edward picked the deck of cards up from the floor, then gave Jonathan a glance out of the corner of his eye and smirked slyly; over Harley’s head, Jonathan did the same.
Until next time, then.

Stag Party – Organize A Social Media Famous Party
Stag parties are the trends of the modern generation. Everyone wants to have that stag party that turns social media upside down. It is the dream of both the stag and the organizers to make the party famous on social media. However, the question is – how to organize such a kindergeburtstag Hamburg party?
To be frank it is not easy to arrange such a gathering. Yes, you need to indulge in a lot of planning and thinking. There are aspects to think about. You must be willing to invest time in research if you want a party that makes people yearn for more. Your research should begin from the Hamburg Location of the party.
Location – Why Is It Essential
The location should be put on the top of the priority list. As the organizer of the party, it is your duty to ensure that the guests access the venue easily. You can ensure this only by choosing a Hamburg Location that is in the middle of the town. Therefore, guests will be getting here without any trouble at all. What you must do is – check the location and compare it with the addresses of the guests. See whether they live far away or not. In that case, you will have to arrange for a place to spend the night, if this is not an all-night party. Usually, people book resorts or cottages for the guests to spend the night once the party is over. Therefore, get to work and find a suitable location for the party.
Theme – What To Do To Get It Right
Theme parties are the trends right now. Everyone is opting for theme parties. Even the kids’ birthday parties are organized around themes. Thus, there is no reason why the stag party should not be a themed one. However, you may face some difficulties while choosing the right theme.
In case, you are not sure how to select a theme for the kindergeburtstag Hamburg party, you should begin from the guest list. The party will be for guests. Thus, you need to think about the mindset of the guests to ensure that they enjoy the gathering. Thus, you should look at the guest profiles. Their age, their profession, and their family background will tell you about the right theme. A group of twenty-somethings may enjoy a wild themed party. But the same party might not be suitable for a group of forty-somethings. Thus, you need to check the age group of people first.
The second is the profession of the guests. The theme that is suitable for a bunch of IT people will not be right for a group of creative people. Therefore, you have a lot to plan when you are selecting a theme for a stag party. You do this right – you get a successful party. However, if you fail here, your party will fail. Pro-party organizers usually take themes seriously. Without a theme, a party loses its life. But a wrong theme could be dangerous.
Some Themes To Explore
Well, when start searching, you will find ample themes available. All you need to do is – plan the Leisure tip Hamburg party around the theme. Of course, the Hamburg Location should be supportive of the theme. So, now you can divide the themes into some basic categories. Organizers usually choose from classic, funny, fancy, and unusual themes.
Classic party themes are the most common ones. You have the luxury of opting for a traditional theme party if you choose classic. It is also the best theme when you are confused about the guests. In case, you have a large number of people coming from a mixed age group and background, make sure to choose classic. Even if some of the guests don’t enjoy the party, they will at least be comfortable.
So, without hesitation, get themed t-shirts and asks the guests to wear them. A customized t-shirt is the furthest a traditional party will stretch. You can get some funny or wild quotes printed on the t-shirts and ask the guests to wear them. However, don’t get too wild as some may not be comfortable wearing such shirts.
Fancy themes are also trending these days. Fancy themes are nothing but unusual dresses. Here you can get creative. The most basic would be asking your guests to wear military dresses. Organizers sometimes use superhero themes as well. It completely depends on you.
Things to Pay Attention To
You must remember that planning a stag party takes time. Don’t leave anything for the last minute. It is the biggest mistake a stag party organizer can make. You should at least give yourself a month’s time to plan this party. Also, avoid budget mistakes. Stag parties may go over the head. Therefore, you need to separate the need from wanting to cut down on additional costs.

Head off procrastination and sluggishness with a healthier diet. Stay away from foods high in saturated fat such as hamburgers and french fries. Fatty foods cause fatigue, sluggishness and fatigue, as well as slower thinking. This makes it tough to stay focused and get through all of the tasks on our to-do list.
Make sure you protect yourself. Having an excellent set of healthy defense mechanisms against the world’s troubles means you’ll be more likely to stick by your convictions and make good on your promises. Your worst enemy can be yourself, so turn your own worst enemy into your own best ally.
Have goals. This will help give structure to your life. You may have vague ideas of what you want to do, but having concrete goals that you write down and look at every day, compels you to get started on achieving those goals instead of sighing and saying “oh, someday.”
To be successful find your strong points and focus on developing them. Don’t worry too much about being well-rounded. Your strong points are what sets you apart from others. Most of the time, ten seconds is all the time that is needed to avoid a knee-jerk response that could easily have made the situation twice as volatile. It’s old-school advice, but it really works.
Be true to who you really are. This is very important. You can’t work to better yourself if you lie about who you really are. You need to accept that you are you, and that is a wonderful thing! Many people are not happy with who they are, but we can take responsibility for that, and improve who we are once we acknowledge the truth.
If your development is health or fitness related, try to join a support community related to the topic. This can help you learn new tips, but it also helps you to stay accountable. This can be either a group who meets at regular intervals or an online forum. Forums are often more convenient, as you are able to update at your leisure.
Pamper yourself, and make sure you do what makes you happy. It can be stress relieving to find things that make you happy and do them for yourself. Even if it’s something simple such as getting your nails done, find time for these things, and do them so you feel better about yourself.
Use visualization to help you adhere to your goals. Visualize how you will feel when you finally reach your goal. Visualize yourself achieving the goal every night before bed and every morning when you wake up. Visualizing yourself in the winners circle will help you stay motivated and you will be less likely to be derailed by negative emotions or small setbacks.
Now that you have made the commitment to develop your personality, behaviors, and outlook, remember to follow the advice found in the various tips and tricks that you have just seen. If you find that they are especially helpful, do not hesitate to share them with other people in your life!

They bring influences as much apart as the GROW-model, solution-focused short therapy, favorable psychology as well as person-centred coaching (De Haan & Hamburger, 2005). Private experts therefore customize training treatments to their very own background, theoretical positioning as well as rate of interests, in addition to to the needs and passions of the specific client or 'coachee'. Over the past decade there has actually additionally been a little collection of research studies that have actually taken on genuinely randomised regulated tests. get it now , however, have normally been smaller sized range and they have actually discovered primarily self-scoring as opposed to independent result measurements. A few of these findings are considerable yet they may well be influenced by same-source or common-methods predisposition.

Overall, result research study provides some sign that executive training is an effective treatment.

Their return to, proficiency, and words of their referrals are much more valuable tools to measure the top quality of a profession coach than any kind of certification. While a job coach is beneficial to anyone searching for occupation help, some people may not have the ability to manage one. If you can't, you can become your own with a little discipline and also direction.
If you're always failing to remember to do points like choice up the completely dry cleansing or obtain the garbage, are you truly going to count on on your own wholeheartedly with your future? Having a life coach will help you remain accountable and maintain you on course with your goals as well as desires. If you're looking to break out of your day work and also begin your very own organization or get in a brand-new field, the specialist advice of a life coach can give you the confidence as well as guarantee you require to take the required jump. There are times where you might have an objective or vision, but have no idea as to just how to achieve it. It is a life coach's job to assist you via the steps of creating a strategy to make sure that you can get to where you intend to be.
Private researches on training effectiveness are often commissioned by organisations or as component of a leadership-development or organisational-change program. The information accumulated are frequently based on smaller, pick and also possibly uniform examples of participants. This makes it very tough to attract strong conclusions based on cross-study contrasts.
youtube
To bring these training variables to life, we provide a case instance to highlight exactly how a few of the energetic ingredients of effective coaching operate in method, throughout a live coaching conversation. Despite an increase in occurrence, the training profession stays in a state of flux and it is only simply starting to be regulated.
The means of working as well as the tone in which this coach offered straight feedback to his clients regarding their efficiency sounded challenging and also terrible. It showed up nearly astounding that this coach's performance ratings were nonetheless hovering around the average.

Top Trendy Restaurants in the Cities
Anton’s, New York City – The rustic previous space of West Village’s Frankies 570 Spuntino has turned into Anton’s, a throwback European restaurant from Nick Anderer. The chef — who used to head the kitchens at Marta and Maialino — goes into his Italian food training with a pasta section titled “macaroni,” with choices like a bucatini amatriciana and linguini with clams. Elsewhere, discover raw oysters, salads, and entrees such as roast chicken or barbecued pork rib chop with apple sauce. Cocktails are variants on classics, which include pre-batched martinis that come directly from the freezer.
Holy Ground at 109 W Broadway, New York City – The next time you need a meat-heavy dinner in a refreshing-space, but didn’t plan far enough ahead of time to grab a table at 4 Charles or Minetta Tavern, visit Holy Ground. It’s an underground spot in Tribeca where you can envision Duke Ellington relaxing in a red leather booth having an old-fashioned and porterhouse. This place isn’t a customary steakhouse though – the Old Fashioneds are prepared with mezcal and tequila, and the menu concentrates on slow-smoked meats such as pork shoulder and wagyu brisket.
Dragon Beaux, San Francisco – A blend of classic and modern dim sum is on the menu at this always-packed Richmond District restaurant from the team behind Bay Area Stalwart Koi Palace. Everyone enjoys taking Instagram worthy pictures of the soup dumplings with coloured skins, but those in the know fill their tables with the type of inventive, accurately executed dim sum specialties you’ll come across at forward-thinking places in Hong Kong: blood-red rice rolls packed with fried fish, the city’s top sugar-crusted baked pork buns, and, for good measure, destination-worthy crackle-skinned roast pork belly. Try the winter melon hot pot with roasted squab during the night, when Dragon Beaux moves over and turns into a hot pot restaurant.
Pearl 6101, San Francisco – This restaurant has gained the hearts of metropolitan diners far past its warm, suburban Richmond neighbourhood location. In an exquisitely-tiled corner dining room, chef-partners Mel Lopez and Joyce Conway, offer customers handmade pasta and hefty wood-fired pork chops, accompanied by drinks such as the not to be missed Pearl Martini from partner/bar manager Nahiel Nazzal (it’s Oakland-distilled “sea gin” with Italian vermouth and pickled sea bean).
Olivetta, Los Angeles – There may not be a trendier restaurant in Los Angeles than Olivetta at the moment. The attractive space has four separate rooms with diverse auras, but the chief dining room with its luxurious sitting area, extravagant design, and modest noise level is the ideal spot to experience Michael Fiorelli’s welcoming but refined take on California Italian food. Try the grilled branzino, rye macaroni, and kale salad.
Found Oyster, Los Angeles – LA can always use more seafood restaurants, and this jewel of an oyster bar in East Hollywood has a compact menu from chef Ari Kolender that pulls from his East Coast upbringing. Find everything from steamers and shucked oysters to an enormous lobster roll.
Jing, Las Vegas – Downtown Summerlin’s new Japanese restaurant focusses on sushi, shareable wagyu hot rocks, and wok dishes with a menu from Joseph Elevado, the previous executive chef at Social House at Treasure Island and Andrea’s at Encore Las Vegas. Fire and water features equip the space that comprises of a courtyard and live entertainment.
Pepper Lunch, Las Vegas – A anticipated inclusion to Shanghai Plaza, the self-described “DIY Teppan” restaurant is already attracting crowds who are excited to cook their own dishes on the Japanese fast-casual chain’s signature iron hot plates, which go up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. After ordering at the counter or through an app, the iron plates are filled up — with the chain’s signature pepper rice, Hamburg sizzling curry, dry-aged steak, or pasta, to name a couple of choices — and brought to the table, where customers could decide the final temperature of their meal.
Top Travel Tips for Travelling Within the Cities
When you’re in New York, remember the hot zones for foot traffic so you can keep away from them.
Taxis are normally very expensive in New York and if you’re in a hurry, traffic will make it about the same speed (or slower) than the subway. Sometimes, walking is even quicker.
When in San Francisco wear comfy shoes. You would be doing plenty of walking on steep hills.
Locate the oyster happy hours – There are plenty of restaurants all over San Francisco that has an oyster happy hour at least once a week for around $1 per oyster. Ichi Sushi, Waterbar, and Waterfront Restaurant are great places to begin.
Spend Smart: There are some shocking ways to save money in Los Angeles. Dining on the best of food doesn’t have to break the bank as several amazing restaurants provide lunchtime specials on their most famous dishes. How about tours that cost nothing at all? Tourists could get complimentary tickets to places like television tapings, museums, and cultural events.
Know what to look forward to in Hollywood and Beverly Hills: In Hollywood, you’ll come across museums consisting of souvenirs from Hollywood’s past, the Walk of Fame, and the renowned footprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
In Las Vegas distances are further than they seem, The Strip is four miles long, and because the buildings are so close together, they look closer than they really are – a two-building stroll from, say, Bally’s to Planet Hollywood is achievable, but any more than that, and you’ll ruin your walking shoes.
Plan your Attack – As with any new travel destination, you’ll get the most out of your Las Vegas holiday when you acquaint yourself with your surroundings first. After your check-in, take a stroll around your hotel and casino and remember where the vending machines, restaurants, restrooms, and seating areas are.

Skipping Breakfast: What are Benefits and Negatives?
If you’ve tried to skip a meal for some time you’ve noticed some benefits and probably some disadvantages. Skipping breakfast if you specifically want to lose some weight is useful habit, and it turns not so hard habit to acquire. The first temptation is one cheat meal in a week but you end up with several. So how do you guys ensure self-discipline? One good tip is give yourself a goal... Something like sign up for a 5 mile walk or whatever is your preferred distance or how long can you hold a plank for and add some time to it. Simple stuff is usual where I would start. You just need a routine, a plan and integrity for yourself. Your health is all you got at the end of the day.
The hunger does eventually go down as you skip a meal regularly
I am a planner. What I’ve discovered that works best is physically scheduling the day, time and what workout I’ll be doing in my calendar. I plan it all out at the beginning of my week. I get satisfaction from ticking them off when they’re done. What I do is not eat breakfast until about 11. I drink mineral water during the day and black coffee at leisure. The first thing I eat is a handful of nuts or a banana or an apple, something small but nutritious. That helps with not overeating when coming off the fast. There's some evidence that fasting can have minor health benefits. The hunger does eventually go down as you skip breakfast regularly. Cons: Hunger. Might cause you to overeat later on in the day. The breakfast sets your insulin levels for the day if I remember correctly, and they won’t reset before u go to bed at night again. If you eat a fatty low-carb meal for dinner, you won't be hungry until noon next day.
What is my go-to meal?
I usually take: 200g of 15% fat hamburger meat kneaded with 10g of olive oil, tarragon, garlic, salt, and pepper125g of mushrooms sautéed in 25g of butter, chili powder, and garlic50g of spinach sautéed in the drippings from the hamburger meat + chili powder + garlic4 whole eggs + the whites from one egg mixed with the aforementioned spinach, 25g of butter, salt and pepper and cooked scrambleda bearnaise sauce made from 30g of butter, tarragon, garlic, and an egg yolk (the missing yolk from my eggs before) The meal is filling and I've been able to lose weight on that and intermittent fasting. if your body uses it's fat to create glucose as well, then that will lead to further fat loss. Pros: You don't break your fast, you can eat more later, you may or may not burn more fat/make it easier on yourself to lose weight, depending on your body and fasting techniques.
Body like to use fats as the primary fuel source
Your body is always using both carbs and fat at varying degrees. Your body already uses fats as the primary fuel source while at rest and at low intensity exercises. Glucose becomes the primary source of energy at high intensities. Your body already knows to use body fat for energy, if it needs to. But since most of the fat cucks that are trying to lose weight are in a caloric surplus, there is no reason for the body to use its reserve energy, so it just gets stored. Fasting intermittently helps you regulate your calorie intake if you're someone who snacks very often, forcing yourself to only eat in a short period of time. It's way harder to intake the same calories in a 6-hour window than it is to do in a 16 hours window.
Beating hunger - focus on self-control
A great place for you to start would be to focus on self-control. Limiting/eliminating your soda intake can be hard on its own, but the discipline required will take you far on your health journey. In the end, want to lose fat? Calorie intake should be less then calorie usage. You can fast if it helps you with that, you cannot eat carbs if it helps you with that (keto), you can eat only one time a day if that helps you maintain a caloric deficit, but in the end, it's the deficit that lost you all the weight. If you could simply eat the same things that you do, but LESS, you'll lose weight. Hunger as well fades over time and as you get used to skipping breakfast.
Certain things are static in my diet:
1 cup spinach1 cup broccoli1 cup kale1 cup collard greens2 oz sprouted broccoli seeds1 tbsp sunflower seeds1 calcium (600mg) + Vitamin D (2500IU) pill2 sheets roasted nori I will then add whatever meat/fish to my meal, this week it's all barbecue. 12 oz smoked beef sausage24 oz smoked beef brisket This all works out to 247g protein, 34g carbs (16g net), 202g fat @ 2962 kcal and has 100% of the necessary vitamins and minerals. Amazing meal plan!
How you know you’ve lowered your bodyfat percentage?
Things change the lower your bodyfat percentage gets. With a high bodyfat percentage you have a lot of fuel and some fat-soluble micronutrients stored and able to mobilized. This is not true as you get closer to a healthy bodyfat percentage. You’re going to feel hungry at times but making sure you stick to the food you cooked is the whole point of meal prep. I stick to ground turkey for protein, potatoes/rice for carbs fats- avocados cheese eggs and virgin olive oil. Cook and seasoning is up to you. I throw in a cheat day a week normally Friday where I just eat whatever guilt free. This works for me because I get right back into healthy eating the day after. Read the full article
