Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain) (2001) dir. Jean-Pierre Jeunet. 6.5/10

Starting from the intro, this movie is very art. Everything is rather odd or bizarre.  This is kind of like a French Wes Anderson film.

Amélie is a very clever girl. What a mysterious and eccentric person she is as a whole, esp. when she looks into the camera. She is able to pull off a lot of mischief and I like that.

I am digging the color scheme in this film.

The narration reminds me of a “how to write” book that I read. The book mentions that we could write beautifully if we start by writing about everyday things. The narration is similar by mentioning simple characteristics of each person. These may seem boring but they are so unique and raw that I continue to follow the plot.
