During the handmade process each letter is stamped onto the item one letter at a time using a brass hammer, our items are not machine engraved. The stamping process can leave slight marks to the underside of the pendant. Premium Blanks products are made from 316L Stainless Steel. 316L is classified Surgical and Marine Grade. It has a much nicer finish and shine than lower grades of stainless steel. The Gold and Rose Gold is achieved through the process of Ion Plating (IP). This involves a layer of Titanium Oxide being applied to the Stainless Blank, pigment is used to colour the Gold and Rose Gold. This is a very affordable option to achieve the same quality look as precious Metals for just a fraction of the cost. Stainless Steel is known for being Hypo allergenic, it will not tarnish or rust. To care for your item simply clean with water and a dry cloth. Prolonged rubbing on other metals or use of chemicals can result in the IP fading.
