But it's true that Skylar is getting the same treatment that Lauren Jackson got from DT. The coldest of cold shoulders. This confirms something I've wondered about for a while.

I don't think DT and LJ's romantic misadventures caused the 14 year cold shoulder. I think that stuff was just regular life stuff. Maybe it made things awkward between them. But it didn't cause DT to permanently cut LJ out of her life.

I'm pretty sure DT cut LJ off because of the way LJ left Spartak during a team tragedy. Skylar left the Mercury during a team tragedy and got the same reaction.

Everyone handles tragedy and crisis at work differently. If there's a murder or international hostage situation at work, some people will leave that job by any means necessary. It's normal to expect that some people may do that. But DT is not normal and her loyalty to her teams is extreme and overblown. She's like a medieval knight following some ancient code of honor that has no place in the modern world.

Lauren and Penny don't hate each other. BG and Skylar don't hate each other. But it doesn't matter because DT has her code and she's sticking to it. I don't think she minds that no one else follows that code. Many of her friends are friends with Lauren and Skylar. And it's absolutely poetic and ironic that they're both Storm players.

see i get so bored sometimes so i used to lurk these old boards and i have seen that people have speculated that LJ & DT were together at some point yes
