Synopsis/AU;Homelander becomes a madman after Vought decides they have the better facilities of taking care of Ryan, realizing the pain and abandonment he went through Ryan would believe his dad left him to face. In a fitted rage, he destroys the Vought building one by one, taking a life every minute it takes to return his boy. Y/N is assigned to the special forces team responsible for 'cleaning up his mess', and ensuring that nobody gets hurt. By the time special units have reached the building, Homeland's already taken a liking to toppling down dominoes.

I searched the premises top to bottom, looking for any signs of imperfections left behind in his massacre. God knows what he had in store for the rest of the world, and not one person has a single clue what could've led to this trajectory. I watched as bright stars peaked in the sky, cameras and vans swarming the building like bees to a nest. My gun slinged along my arm as I slowly watched the stars get closer, and closer..
It was bodies.
The sound of bones mushing into pavement made my stomach hurl. But when it rains, it pours. Dozens of civilians began falling from the sky, bouncing off the concrete in sync to the sounds of blood curling screams arising amongst viewers. I know, I was assigned to special forces for a reason. But he's lost his damn mind.
"All units, Move in! NOW! RIGHT FUCKING NOW! I SEE ONE MORE BODY DROPS ITS GONNA BE YOU!" The chief demanded, his coffee splattered across his long tattered coat in a fuel of rage. Hoisting into gear, I took one last look at the pain behind me. News vans scampered back and forth across the roads looking for a way out, avoiding the bloody trouble Homelander had flung into their direction. But something was wrong. I began to sweat, and it didn't stop. Drops of water began covering into my helmet vision, tactical gear cooking my body as the temperature increased. Metal scraping against brick made my ears squeal, quickly retreating into the building for safety. Red lasers danced across the city scape, quickly sawing whatever came into its way.
The building couldn't be any more worst than outside. Scarlet red painted the walls like an artists' touch, the main floor wiped of human life. I was assigned no other job but to simply talk to him, my guys in route watching closely as we made our way to the elevator. Quickly, I swiped my feet at the feeling of someone's touch, backing away in terror. There lay A-Train, who once was the world's fastest man quickly turned to nothing but broken bones. He crawled gently towards my ankle, pleading with his eyes as he winced in pain. "Send a paramedic team in, now. He's still got time" I demanded, the group of SWAT enforced men looked at me puzzled. "You're going up there, alone?..." one brave suit asked, I couldn't see his face but his tone ensured everyone was equally as terrified. I could see right through the supes facade, Homelander didn't scare me not one bit. I nodded my head in approval, the boys quickly sweeping to A-Train's rescue as they steadily carried the poor runner out of the building. I stared at the hopeless elevator entrance ding open, inhaling deeply as the doors closed behind me. Soft elevator music hummed in my ear, steadying my heart beat to a soft thump. I had to be prepared for the worst of it all, he could cut me into two pieces by the time the door opened and nobody would know until it was too late.

The elevator came to a holt, its bright led numbers flickering as the music came to a stop. My feet jolted below me, holding steadily to the railing as I waited in silence. He knew I was here. He knew someone was coming. My heart roared through my chest as I struggled to catch my breath, what the fuck was I thinking taking this job?
distress fled into my body, watching the doors pry open to the grip of ruby-red gloves. I fled to the ground, covering my head with my heads, watching the door opening wider. And wider. His cold distilled blue eyes emerged from the peak, analyzing me through the small crack. Homelander demanded, "Take off the helmet and let me see your face", watching my hands unravel from fetal position as my breath quivered. Slowly emerging from my helmet, I took the might of speaking up. "Homelander, I know your stressed... I'm not sure what happened, but.. we can work through this-". In the blink of an eye, the metal doors tore as gracefully as paper, falling into the ever abyss of the metropolitan below. My pupils constricted at the sight of him, his face was dim in expression and yet said so many things. His once "all American dream" blue suit covered in the blood of his coworker's, his hair a frilled mess, mania scampered in his eyes to the sound of his laughs. The dazed man grabbed my neck in a grip, and pulled me towards the gravel of the roof. I could feel my heart drop into my stomach, watching him edge closer and closer to the end of the building. "Homelander, wait.. Homelander please d-don't do this! Listen, okay? I'm Y/N, now you know me. Just tell me what happened, I'll listen!", pleading for my life as my gear scraped across the floor. The crazed supe held my head against the edge, a thousand feet of death kissing my eyes in return.
"They took my son. Away from me. My son is gone. you're going to tell me where he is. Or you can go say hi to your friends for me" he said, my hands pushed in denial as I screamed at the force of his body swinging me back and forth. "Where is Ryan! Goddamnit-where is he!" Homelander roared, his eyes holding threat in a bright neon red, I could feel my life draining from me in the moment. I had to think quick. I could keep my job, and do as I'm told. Or, I could save my life. I could do what I was good at. What Butcher taught me best. Rationalizing.
"Listen- look, okay? I can help you find Ryan, but you got to let me go! Without me, not a single fucking person at Vought would tell you his whereabouts. Besides, what they did to you.. Could be happening to him as we speak. Y-You want that?", my words could be playing with fire. But I had to give it a shot. Homelander laughed in mockery of my bravery, hastily letting go of me as he clapped and laughed in rejoice. The man's madness made me sick to my core. I could feel fresh acid forming like a lump in my throat, but I had to keep composure. I couldn't show I was scared. He would kill me without hesitation. He paced back and forth in thought of my offer, hands on his hips as I tried to catch my breath and pushed up against a corner of the roof. The screams from below echoed like the gates of hell, I could tell it was riling him up. "I have an idea, but.. We need to do it my way. You understand? No diverting, no nothing" I exclaimed, he looked across at me as blood dripped off his icy blonde tips stained a muck brown. "We leave. Now. Before they find out you were responsible for this, we can pinpoint it on another supe and you get Ryan back. Homelander- if this gets on the news...", I carefully stared back into his cold gaze, gulping at the words stuck in my throat. "You might not ever see Ryan again if Vought finds out you did this" I said.
The supe almost took that as a challenge, raising his eyebrow at my comment. "Really? And what makes you think I'll listen to you?" he chuckled, approaching slowly as I backed my heels into the ground. He towered carelessly over me, crouching low to meet my gaze. The smell of death reeked off his clothes, his teeth blinked brighter than the sky filled with mourning souls. Without thinking, the man lifted me carefully and began to back away from the building, I could feel our bodies lift off the ground and up towards the clouds. It calmed me, to know that I was able to do something perfectly for once. The one moment that could've possibly ruined my entire life, I saved myself. But I couldn't save the others
"Before we go.. You want to see something cool? I've been meaning to do this for a while" he chuckled, stopping in position as we levitated above the downtown metropolitan. The feeling of course hot beams almost burned through my suit, as I watched the Vought building explode into an array of flames. The building's base was untouched, Homelander squealed in laughter watching people rush onto the streets like ants. "They had what was fucking coming for them. And they knew it. Nobody to blame but themselves, right Y/N? I mean, you have to agree. We're friends now. And you!-You Are going to get me my boy back", his head shook vigorously as if he agreed with his own sentence, looking at me for the approval of his message. I understood that he was setting me up, but two can play that game. "We need to see Butcher. Now. He'll know what to do" I explained, my eyes refused to watch the city below. I had nowhere to look but right into his eyes. And I prayed that he could feel the hatred feeling through my body. Effortlessly, the dazed supe began to track throughout the clouds, elevating so the bare naked eye could barely see us through the cotton-field of clouds.

i have a draft which i thought was half done but then i keep adding new things to the plot and it keeps getting longer, here's a snippet in case i never finish this thing🧍‍♀️
Friday morning is terrible.  Manwë oversleeps his first alarm, then panics when he hears the blaring horn of his backup alarm, literally falling out of bed in his half-frenzied state. He doesn’t shower, doesn’t have time to make himself a cup of coffee, can’t find matching socks, and spends seven goddamn minutes searching for his car keys. His luck doesn’t change. Once he gets behind the wheel, his car won't start. Manwë screams into the sleeves of his hood. Thankfully, the subway is a mere five-minute walk from where he lives, one or two if he storms it. He pulls his hood up - no one is catching him looking this haggard, he has a reputation to uphold - as he races through the morning crowd under drizzling rain, his only hope now is that he hasn't missed his transport. Which, as his stupendous luck would have it, he has.  Of course. Manwë’s body composition is roughly forty percent pure, blinding rage by the time he's bracing his hands against his knees as he catches his breath, trying not to bemoan his misfortunes, few that they are, as he watches the train glide away, the doors closing just a second before he could squeeze his body through. It's alright, he reconciles with himself, so you're a little bit late to your lecture, so what? When’s the next train, five minutes? No big deal. He’s been waiting even less than that when he hears the distinct clamor of the oncoming train as light appears down the distant rails, and the metal wagons are slowing down in wisps of steam right in front of Manwë in no time. The doors part, people rush in and he finds himself a decent seat before the train moves again. He’s already settled when something flashes in the corner of his right eye and he whips his head to look without thought. The guy stands out a mile in the crowd, his steps languid, barely escaping the door clamping shut on long, dark hair. Manwë’s eyes catch combat boots, dark pants, and a dark red jacket over a black tank top and he can’t help but think the guy looks refreshing, a splash of color in their otherwise dull surroundings. He sweeps a look across the people scattered across the trailer, his gaze laser-sharp and focused and for some reason, Manwë is relieved his choice of dress is shielding him from that stare. Whatever the gu's looking for, he doesn't seem to find it, because his demeanor quickly grows lax and he turns bored eyes to his phone as he takes a seat one elderly couple away from him, and if Manwë tips his head up the slightest, he can get a real good look at him. But when his eyes zero in on the deep golden eyes and the sharp cut of bone under coppery skin the stranger's profile has to offer, an echo of 'don't I know you' chimes in his brain out of nowhere and he has to physically stop himself from getting closer to get a better, clearer look, confused as to why he suddenly, desperately, wants to. He doesn’t quite know how to put his finger on it, but this guy has something about him that makes his gut twist, like he's a face he’s seen in a dream and is now manifesting right before him. It makes his skin crawl but also itch for more. Manwë scoots away in his own seat, looking away and willing his eyes to follow suit, to not stray, but they flit sideways anyway a minute later, catching a hint of the impassive profile. He suddenly wants to speak, talk to this stranger, say something, anything. Why? What does it matter? You don’t know this guy. Manwë quells his interest with a frown, pretending as if the small kernel of disappointment in his gut isn’t attempting to flower.  He gets off at the next stop in a hurry, exiting through the door furthest from the stranger. He suffers the couple of classes he has and sits through dinner with his friends, goes home, showers, studies into the early morning hours for his Human Physiology final until he falls asleep, drooling over scattering textbooks. He forgets the brief, trivial encounter of this morning had ever happened.

Between all the types of games, physical games were your second least favorite. First being the psychological ones. The anxiety it brought you was enough to kill you on the spot. Physical though? You could handle physical pain enough to trust yourself in a game.
You weren't Kuina or Usagi, but you could handle running and jumping well enough to get you in a safe position. Endurance was your weakness, while speed was your strong point.
It helped that you found Usagi and Arisu were in the game with you. Between the three of you, the queen was defeated, although Usagi's words had definitely been the turning point for your team.
As the game ended you three huddled together, discussing how the plan of bringing everyone together was coming along. After a few moments of discussion, it suddenly dawned on each of you that the rest of your team could be dead. An uncomfortable silence fell on you all. Usagi once again was the thin ray of hope that snapped Arisu and you out of your trance.

Before leaving, you made plans with the couple to find them in a nearby area, after grabbing the Chishiya from the courthouse, so you could make plans for the next games. Maybe even the final game.
You had found a car next to the power plant and used it to get to your destination. You looked at the sky as you hot-wired a small vehicle, thanking Tata for the vandalizing lesson.
The time it took you to get to the King of Diamonds arena on foot was cut short by the car. However, after a while, you started to feel the toll of the previous game.
Your head was throbbing on one side, where a player had bashed it into a railing; your neck was stiff from a chokehold; your knees and elbows were scratched and bruised from falling down the stairs; your muscles were starting to scream in pain. But more worrying was the sudden feeling of something running down your back.
You touched your shoulder and felt something sticky on your fingers. You were bleeding from your shoulder and your mind drifted to the only encounter you had had with the Queen. Already tired from running from her teammates you had been an easy catch. She knew you would just wait another round to go back to your friends, but that didn't mean she couldn't hurt you. She zapped you and threw you down a railing into a dark corner of the plant, making you fall backwards into a heap of metal slabs.
The ride became increasingly urgent as you tried to get to the courthouse. You needed to stop the car and treat the wound, but you also needed to get to Chishiya. You had the sudden urge to make sure he was okay. He was alive.
When you arrived at the courthouse it was deserted. The laser grid was still up. The game was still on. With a deep breath, you grabbed the backpack, got out of the car and sat on its hood.
Rummaging through the packed mess, you found the plastic bag containing your improvised first-aid kit: strips of ripped fabric, mini bottles of alcohol, band-aids and very low grade pain killers. All courtesy of the hotel.
You choose to skip the pain killers. The pain would probably subside in a few hours, no need to waste them. You did grab the vodka bottle, opening it and carefully pouring it over your shoulder, hissing at the pain flare as the liquid hit the wound.
"Mother f---"
"Game Cleared." The familiar robot voice interrupted you. "Player Team won."
You jumped out of the hood of the car. Looking from the door to the blimp above the arena, you waited for the player team to leave. It was in times like these that the trauma, stress and awareness of your current situation crashed down on you. How many others had waited outside the games for a friend? Did they all fall to their knees when their loved ones weren't among the winners? How many of them died at your hands in a game? What if Kuina was lost? What if Ann was dead? Like Tata had died...
You turned your back on the courthouse and grabbed the edges of the car roof. Some irrational side of you thought that if you didn't look at it, your anxiety would just evaporate. It didn't. You leaned your head into the car as well, letting the cool steel try to bring you back.
"I sure hope you've disinfected that wound."
Your head snapped up and you slowly turned around. Chishiya was standing behind you, hands in pockets, hood up. His eyes and grin were tired, the light of the moon making him look like he hadn't slept in days, but overall he seemed alright. No blood, no noticeable wounds.
"It'd be helpful to have a second pair of hands to be honest." You confessed to him, trying to take several deep breaths. He took his hands out of his pockets and showed them to you. Grinning, you grabbed the plastic bag and threw it at him.
He grabbed the bag and moved to the back of the car, opening the door and inviting you to enter. He closed the door after you entered and stepped into the driver's seat.
"We need to move before the blimp explodes."

With the car parked a safe distance away from the arena he had to maneuver his body to move into the backseat, without actually leaving the car. It was clumsy. His head hit the ceiling more times than you cared to count. However, he did it and then nodded proud of himself as he sat down in the backseat with you.
"Never done that before."
"Please don't do it again." You laughed stiffly. "I don't think the roof of the car could handle your hard head."
"How was your game?" He asked after a few seconds of silence, grabbing the makeshift supplies.
"Fast. Dangerous. Extreme. Saved a kid though." You answered turning your back to him.
"Of course you did." He said rustling through the bag, turning the supplies towards the street light that illuminated the car.
"Usagi and Arisu were there." You felt his finger touch the skin under your shirt. "They want to meet now that we have more time on our visas."
Chishiya was quietly assessing your wounds, humming at your words. Besides the open wound on your shoulder, the rest of your back was littered with the beginning stages of bruising and what looked to be some redness that looked like an electrical burn. It was amusing to him how seamlessly he transitioned from his casual self to his doctor self at the sight of your back. He quickly worked around the laceration, pouring the rest of the alcohol bottle on it and grabbing a long piece of fabric, wrapping it around your shoulder.
He kept examining you until he was satisfied. Much to your surprise he kept warning you every time his hands touched your skin. It was gentle but not evasive and once he was done he leaned into the car door and you rested on the seat and closed your eyes.
After a few minutes you felt him move near you. You felt his body shift again and opened your eyes. He took off his hoodie, gently adjusting it so it would cover both your legs and his.
"There's a blanket in the backpack." You mumbled, looking at him with sleep-filled eyes. He nodded and grabbed the blanket, laying it so it covered both of you.
Once you were settled, you instinctively placed your head on Chishiya's bare shoulder. When he tensed, you immediately moved your head away.
"You can keep your head there." He spoke softly and you moved back to his shoulder.
"You seem weird again." You mumbled looking up at him, noticing he had his eyes closed, his head leaning back into the seat.
"I feel weird." He opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling.
"Why? Was it the game?" You saw him nod and become silent. Knowing he wasn't planning to talk until he was good and ready, you closed your eyes trying to rest.
"Why do you try to save people in the games?" He asked after a while, his voice dragging from fatigue.
"They deserve to live as much as I do."
"Their survival could mean your death." He countered.
"I would die knowing that I did so without destroying my values." You replied.
"What if that person was a shit person?"
"It wouldn't matter." You placed your chin on his shoulder and he looked down at you. "It wouldn't matter, because I'm the one that needs to live with myself knowing what I did. If they turn out to be assholes that's on them, not on me. I would rather save a thousand assholes than let one innocent person die without helping them."
He seemed confused for a moment, his eyes drifting towards the window.
"I wish I could feel that way." He said honestly. "I would like to have that more compass, but I don't know if I can. It's not rational to think like that. My life is more important. If I die, then...it's over."
"If you really want it...just try it." You said leaning your cheek once again into his shoulder. "Just do it. Think about what the rational thing is to do, and then do the opposite."
"The rational thing would be to save me and not you. Should I save you and die?"
"No...you should save us both." Your own voice was starting to drift.
"I would save us both." He said softly and you felt his hand search for yours under the jacket.
"Good..." You gave it a squeeze and settled into the crook of his neck. "Being here without your smug face would be hell."

Today’s writing warmup consisted of Subject 03 and Leo from my separated au idea (Mystic Mirror on the wall… blah blah blah I still don’t have a name for it) and a “what if” idea where Subject 03 begins the yokai invasion to the surface hehe
I surprisingly had a lot of fun with this lol vvvvv (definitely didn’t write 1.2k words for this warmup…/bad sarcasm)
Leo stops abruptly , catching himself on the railing of the bridge and nearly flips over. He looks up—up above the bridge’s arches and atop its beams. His eyes widen at the sight of the softshell clad in the sheep warrior’s armor—or something akin to it.
His heart is pounding against his chest, beating and beating against it and ricocheting off his ear drums. His nerves are screaming, alerting him that the bridge won’t last long. Warning him that Three won’t hesitate to order one of the flying drones to kill him where he stands.
But he can’t run away. Not now. Not when his brother needs him.
“Three!” Leo yells over the screams of the innocent and the buzzing of the drones. He shields his head when an android raises its arm, and the panels lift from its forearm to reveal a laser that releases an ear-piercing shriek before firing at several vehicles. Explosions burst with life and destruction, making his ears ring and stealing the sound from his world for a few seconds.
When Leo recovers and rises from his crouched position, he flinches when he sees Three hovering before him on the propellers Titan had once decorated with stickers. Even from the blur that are the propellers blades, he can tell Three had removed the stickers…
“You have a choice to make, Subject 09: Project Red-Eared Slider,” Three’s voice cuts through the chaos.
A woman’s screech makes Leo jump, and he looks over his shoulder but metal groans and screeches and his jaw is grabbed in a metallic, three-pronged hold. His jaw is in Three’s spider-leg’s grip, forced to face the softshell whose gaze glares down at him.
“Hear me, Subject 09, for I won’t be repeating myself.”
Leo swallows, fighting the urge to look at the chaos ensuing behind him. “What the hell are you doing? We were supposed to meet up today! We were supposed to make plans to run away together—all four of us! You promised! What happened to the mirror? What happened to the realm? What happened to Karai Hamato?”
Three’s head cocks to the side, eyes remaining cold as ever.
Leo can’t read Three’s expressions with the helmet the softshell is wearing. He can’t predict what Three is thinking. And it makes him realize he never really grew to know Three.
“We were getting along just fine! What happened since yesterday? What did Draxum do to you?” Leo asks but is suddenly greeting the concrete face to face.
His whole world spins, he can’t tell what’s left from right or up from down. But he swears the ground was supposed to be beneath his feet, not pressed against his face.
Three’s voice nearly growls at him with unbridled fury, his tone guttural and animalistic. “You will refer to Him as Master!”
Leo closes his eyes to ease the world’s spinning, hoping it will stop soon. “Alright, fine, whatever! What did Master do to you? What is happening?”
Three’s grip on Leo’s face doesn’t cease, nor does the anger die from his tone. Leo’s lucky Three hasn’t given the androids and drones any new orders, despite how angry he is.
“The time has come, Subject 09. The yokai race have finally taken their first step to reclaiming what once was lost! Years of planning—years of experimenting has finally paid off. No longer must we hide in the shadows! After several millennia, the yokai will finally be reunited with the sun!”
Three pulls Leo’s face off the ground and stares into his eyes. “This is what we were made for. This is our purpose. So… you must make your choice, Subject 09.”
Three releases Leo and holds out his hand—not a robotic spider leg or a condescending finger. He holds out his hand, free from its glove and coated in thick calluses. It’s an offering hand, granting mercy to Leo.
The slider stares at Three’s hand then up at Three’s eyes. He still can’t read Three’s expression…
“Will you join me as my brother and fight by my side? Or will you die a traitor to your own kind?”
Leo freezes. Die? Why is that even an option? Of course he doesn’t want to die! But he can’t join this—whatever this truly is. He just wanted his brothers—he wanted his family. He doesn’t want this.
“Can’t we think of something else?” Leo asks from the floor.
Three doesn’t budge.
“Can I think about it?”
Three’s hand closes to a tight fist, clenching so tightly that it starts to shake. “So that is your choice? You’d rather die than be my brother?”
Leo raises his hands to disagree, but he stops when he’s met face-to-face with the barrel of a pistol. It’s not a gun like Leo has ever seen before—no human has ever held a gun like this. He swallows nervously but doesn’t dare to move.
“Three, you don’t want to do this. I’m your brother—,” Leo tries to reason but Three cuts him off.
“I have no brother.”
Leo clenches his teeth, he manages to speak between his teeth, “And Master isn’t your family.”
The gun clicks, making Leo flinch, but he’s not met with his fate. No, he doesn’t even hear the bullet shift in the chamber. Was it a blank?
He sees a flicker of emotion in Three’s eyes, they widen with shock.
Before Three can make a move, Leo slaps the gun out of his face and lunges at Three, slamming the softshell onto the ground. He grabs Three’s wrist and rips the helmet off the softshell’s face. He’s once second from punching Three straight in the jaw when he sees a lone tear fall from Three’s left eye.
Leo stops, “Three?”
Three glares up at Leo, his murderous stare contradicting the pitiful tear that stains his temple. His eyes are uneven with one eye closed slightly more than the other.
Leo pauses, looking down at the dark bruise on Three’s temple, realizing why Three’s eyelids are uneven. “Three? What happened while we were gone?”
“Initiate Command 09-11.17!” Three suddenly yells at the top of his lungs, and all the chaos behind Leo stops abruptly.
Leo looks over his shoulder to see each and every single drone and android staring at him with red eyes. They’re frozen where they stand as they register their new command before they all charge at him at once. Leo scrambles to his feet immediately and throws himself over the ledge of the bridge as lasers and bullets shoot where his body once was.
Leo hangs from the bridge’s beams, desperately clinging for his life.
But Three hovers a short distance from him, helmet back on and eyes colder than before. He’s filling the gun this time, making Leo watch as he inserts—darts!—they’re darts filled with a mysterious liquid in each canister.
Three aims the barrel of the pistol at Leo once again, but this time he doesn’t speak. He merely pulls the trigger, and Leo feels a sharp prick in his neck.
Leo doesn’t feel anything at first, but the next second he feels lightheaded. The world is off and his body doesn’t feel like his own. His view is somehow dark and the wind is flying past his skin. The water below is getting closer and closer, then the air seems full. The lights darken and his world disappears.
I kind of want to write this idea as a story now that I’ve explored it a bit more…

Guns we never got to use in Metal Gear Solid 2

So, instead of gushing over how amazing MGS2 is, let's get down to brass tacks and immediately nerd out over what we didn't get. First off, let's start at the beginning. Olga Gurlukovich, the woman who's the sole reason I start making monkey noises when I see a woman in super baggy pants with suspenders hanging down. She carries a PSS pistol;

The PSS is a silent semi-automatic pistol, this pistol gets tossed overboard before the player can get a chance to use it. If in use by the Gurlukovich mercenaries, we could imagine it would be a pistol with very scarce ammo, but also highly effective, being semi-auto. Probably considered a lethal option to the XM9.
Next up, we have the NRS2. No good in-game picture available, so a picture of the real thing will do;

This highly unusual knife gun, which is fired with the blade pointed towards yourself. For gameplay, this could probably be used for focus on close quarters fighting, but with a possibility of shooting at something in the distance without needing to swap weapons. It would certainly be an interesting option that could make gameplay varied.
Next up, the Colt Single Action Army revolver.

"This is the greatest handgun ever made. The Colt Single Action Army. Six bullets. More than enough to kill anything that moves." It's clear that MGS3 figured out, holy shit, this gun is cool and we need to let the player use it. Especially, with how they added gameplay features to it, they decided to give the gun the ability to ricochet bullets so you can trickshot your way through Tselinogorsk. The same mindset in MGS2 could have made for some really interesting choices considering all the fancy indoor areas and hallways. There's also no proper magnum handgun for the player in MGS2, so if you want a handgun that can blast away common enemies in a single shot to the chest, this could have been it.

Sergei Gurlukovich himself pulls a Makarov on Scott Dolph during the tanker chapter. This would been a basic sidearm for the mercenaries and is understandably cut, it's a gun that it's difficult to make exciting for the player as it would performed the same as the USP, but lower capacity and no laser and no silencer. Then again, it could have been added purely for variety's sake. Which is always good to make something feel vast and a real universe.

"Laugh and grow fat" This one would be interesting in-game for the player. Provided it would be somewhat controllable for skilled players, and sharing ammo with the USP, it could be a hog for churning through your ammo and low range, but if used up closed, you could definitely do some solid bursts of damage. What magazine the gun would have, would definitely help decide if you could bursts a few enemies before reloading, or needing to reloading between every enemy.

This is another special one. It's already very special that a russian mercenary group would use a western shotgun such as the SPAS-12. It also features a combination pump and semi-automatic mechanism. This could in theory allow the player to change the firerate. Who knows for what purpose, there could be some video game logic like how they can only use the really powerful ammunition with a pump-action, and have the less damaging ammo be spammable with the semi-automatic mechanism. Or, they could skip that and make the shotgun be only pump or only semi, and then focus on how it works in that way. It definitely opens up a world of weird gameplay options.

Here's a weird one, a rail gun. MGS2 is a stealth game. I realize that, and I really like it. But it really suffers in the department of being able to do things at a distance outside of set pieces set up for sniping. It would definitely be a New Game Plus type of gun, maybe given out for playing through the game while helping or tranq'ing birds, not killing them. It would definitely be a great gun for taking out bosses. It was later implemented in Peace Walker, but required quite the team effort to use it efficiently. Clearly, the developers also loved this magnificent piece of art and weaponry in game.

Here's another fun one. Assuming it would be a counter to the M4 later available in-game, the AN94, could possibly given the hyper-burst option, making it fire two rounds per trigger press in an insane fire rate. Looking at how the gun has a light or laser mounted onto it's front gas port/gas block, it looks really close to be able to be used by the player already.

Here's a gun that is really known for being cut content. The French FAMAS. How it made it's way to the tanker or plant would be difficult to imagine considering it was supposed to be only for the genome soldiers in Alaska in MGS1. It would occupy the same purpose as the AKS74u and the M4 as well, so it wouldn't add anything new to the player, but it would feel familiar for returning MGS1 players. While not correct, the gun could have had a three round burst to differentiate it, like how it does in Counter-Strike 1.6 which is what I really know it from, form these days.

The FN P90. What a wonderful PDW. Again, another gun that's understandable that we don't have access to, as it wouldn't contribute much, but would also clutter an already weird to navigate inventory. It's equipped with the original old red dot sight, so in first person view, that would actually be very different for regular players of first person shooters with iron sights from these days.
Here's a really weird one, the SPP-1M Underwater pistol. Wait what? So in the original design of MGS2, there was an even greater focus on the underwater parts of the gameplay, even more fighting. Which explains why someone would suggest adding an pistol focused on underwater fighting. Probably also related to the cut Dead Cell member who went by the name "Chinaman" who was an olympic level swimmer, and if Vamp's boss fight wasn't annoying enough, I can totally see the need for a gun in that section. There is leftover code in the game that suggest this got quite far in development for player use, the gun itself as far as I know, don't have a model in-game.

And here for the last firearm that should/could have been available to the player. The M203 grenade launcher. It's very clearly shown off in several cutscenes, being used by both the Navy Seals when confronting Fortune, as well as Snake Plissken;

How this would be utilized in-game would be interesting. Could definitely be a very viable boss-encounter weapon with it's full-auto capability from the M4, and then being able to somehow quickly switch over to using the grenade launcher. So in conclusion, many of this firearms were considered, but when we think about it, we can also clearly understand why much of it was cut, so there would be less work to do on bland equipment, so the developers could rather focus and shine up all the equipment that is actually interesting gameplay wise.

               THE LAST DAY OF THE TIME WAR.
               A death ray rang out through the halls of The Dalek Command Spire. The Doctor hit the floor, keeping his back turned toward The Dalek Time Strategist, who continuously blasted beams at Lumine's Friend- no matter how much he kept getting back up. From the top of the spire, they could see all of Teyvat. Leather-jacketed arms protected a small, brown, clockwork device- the cause of all this. The Moment. Part of a phrase he'd been hearing during THE LAST GREAT TIME WAR comprised of that word, "The Moment is coming..." People would say to him. He knew, in his heart, what that moment was- but now that it was here, in his hands, he had no idea what it meant. The Dalek Time Strategist shouted at him,
               "The Moment has come DOC-TOR!! YOUR MOMENT FOR EXTERMINATION!!!" It shouted. A Dalek Gunstick cut him off, blasting over the control panel he was ducking under for cover, "EXTERMINATE!! EXTERMINATEEEE!!" It screamed out, like a wild banshee. The War Doctor hunched forward when sparks crashed off the control console. The Stranger was separated from his friend, so here he was- the nameless one, trying to do everything he could to think up a plan- the stress in his mind heightened by the fear the sight of bodies in the central spire control room invoked within him. "There's nothing you can do to stop me, Time Strategist!! I have The Moment!! I'll use it if I have to!! Don't force my hand!!" The Doctor shouted toward The High Ranking Strategist.
               Another EXPLOSION echoed out as the Gunstick was fired again at the control panel- The Warrior shot up, moving to dive toward more stable cover in the room. An extermination ray missed him by a hair, but he scurried behind the cover. Pot shots were made at him the whole time, some that narrowly caught him. "I'm warning you!!" He cried out, but The Dalek cut him off- "YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW THE DEVICE WORKS!! YOU WOULD CONDEMN BILLIONS OF LIVES- IT IS AGAINST YOUR NATURE, DOCTOR." It shouted at him, but The Stranger spat back in a voice high with rage, and fury, but plagued by uncertainty and witless chance. "I'm NOT The Doctor- Strategist- you have NO IDEA what I'm CAPABLE OF!!" He shouted back, but an extermination ray scorched the side of his cover- causing sparks and smoke to scream their way at him.
               He started fumbling at the box, twisting its cogs and coils into place. It just hissed at him, and the interface grew hot- but the power source inside seemed to activate. "C'mon- C'mon!!" He shook at the box before another laser scorched the side of his cover. "You blasted box of SCRAP!! Work Damn you!!" He bashed at the side of the box, and the metal suddenly grew hot to the touch, causing The Doctor to drop it. A pot shot from the Dalek Gunstick nicked the side- causing a cascade of energy to ripple out. The Doctor was thrown across the control room and THROUGH the glass of the viewing window. The Glass was already pretty dinged up so when The Doctor broke against it, he went through it- rolling onto the observation railing and nearly rolling off the side before he got his hands into the grating- holding over the edge for dear life.
               The Time Strategist turned toward The Moment- quietly gliding over to it before fixing its eyestalk upon the box. Lumine's friend started pulling himself up but felt his hands were too ashy and sweaty to get a firm grip. He briefly turned out behind him- to see MONDSTADT, on fire... smoke rising over the mountains near Liyue- fire on the water. The Daleks had DESECRATED The History of Teyvat- and they were slaughtering its people. The Time War did this to Teyvat- THE WAR DOCTOR brought them here when he'd gone snooping through the Abyss- The TIMELORDS did this... The WAR did this... He set fire to Lumine's second home. So he had to PUT IT OUT. "DALEKS ARE THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, DOCTOR- THERE IS NOTHING WE COULD NOT OVERCOME. NOT THE ARCHONS, OR THE CELESTIALS, NOT YOU OR THE TIMELORDS! WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!" A quick potshot caused The Doctor to fall back over the edge, dangling by one hand- yet again.
               The Doctor and The Strategist heard the door to the command chamber open up. Just underneath The Grating, he was hanging from the edge of- The War Doctor could see, and his eyes widened in horror. "THE CELESTIAL PRINCESS-" He heard The Strategist start- "LUMINE!! LUMINE, GET OUT OF HERE!!" Her friend would shout next, swiping his other arm away, causing his grip on the edge of the railing to get worse. He brought his other hand up, attempting to pull himself up. He heard the gunstick fire off again- but didn't hear it make an impact, so he assumed she'd dodged. He heard the sound of her celestial energy activating, though he felt a gust of wind just above him. He felt hands grab his forearm and begin to pull.
               "No!! NO!! Lumine!! Save yourself!! SAVE-"                "MAXIMUM EXTERMINATION!!!!"
               He saw the blast hit her- she'd already pulled him up enough to where he could get a better hold on the railing. He saw her skeleton through her flesh, the blast lit it up a transparent blue. He heard her let out a scream of absolute agony as she used the last of her strength to hoist him up onto the platform before she lost it all in a fraction of a second and sunk off of the railing. She let him go before she did, so she didn't pull him down with her. THE WAR DOCTOR watched her fall down beneath the tower, into the water of Monsdtadt. Meanwhile, The Words were stuck in his throat- the tears rolling out and his eyes froze in shock. "... A Victim of your emotions, Timelord. YOU TOO SHALL SOON JOIN HER- THE ENEMY OF THE DALEKS WILL BE EXTERMINATED..!!!"
               The War Doctor didn't even want to close his eyes, he was just still frozen in shock. He muttered, "Just do it... for heaven's sake..." And heard the gunstick fire- but when the sounds around him muted... all except for his sweat rolling down his cheek, his lungs heaving out oxygen, and his lips parting to release it all, when he felt his heart still beating, he looked toward the Time Strategist and saw time FROZEN. The Doctor let out a quiet wheeze after a hearty chuckle when he saw the trio reunited. "Just this once, Everybody lives..." He muttered, before picking himself back up...
