The Fearless Few Production Challenge #9 was set by Mikkelsen - basically create better versions in less than 3 hours using the vocals referenced below:
I got a HD full of samples when I did a weeks worth of interning at a studio here in London. I gather that one of the CDs they'd ripped has been ripped by a lot of other hopeful producers out there. Certainly, the pretty vocals I have uploaded to the wetransfer link below are featured on a fair few trance tracks out there. One pretty bad example is this one: youtu.be/3wZb86OGV_o
In the zipped folder you'll find what I think might be the original track, which is certainly a lot better than any trance remixes I've come across. So our challenge #9 is simple: make use of the vocal stems to create your own version of the song. Go pretty, weird, in your face, chilled, whatever. No rules, really. The only restriction is that you must spend no more than 3 hours putting your version together.

Len’s Island already funded on Kickstarter and will land on Linux
Len’s Island action adventure doing well on Kickstarter but the dev talks support for Linux along with Mac and Windows PC. Thanks to independent developer Flow Studio. The crowdfunding campaign has reaching their funding goal. Crossing the $33,400 AUD goal in only eight days. Now with 17 days left to go. Len’s Island, the studio’s debut title. Also a third person action adventure focused around building, farming, exploration and dungeon battles. Which is doing well on Kickstarter. Due to launch in March 2021. The team is now looking to reach the goal of $38,000 AUD goal. So they can unlock their first stretch goal. Which will introduce pets to the game. Pet's will mostly be airborne within Len's Island. The current wishlist of pets is Parrots, Flying Squirrels, Fireflies and Bees. With opportunities for the community to decide what extra pets will be added into the game. Some of the pets are certainly there to just stare at how cute they are. Some will help light up the dark areas in the caves for you. Or even sting your enemies.
The dev talks support for Linux
We currently won't be offering a Linux build at launch. Although Linux support is in the pipeline. And we plan to release a Linux version of Len's Island soon after launch in March. We have already received a lot of support from the Linux community. I'd love to get the game out there for the community to play as soon as possible.
The reply from Flow Studio is positive. The game engine of course is Unity 3D. So right now, the focus is on development and funding Len’s Island. Even though this will not be a day one release for Linux. The fact that support is in the pipeline is a pleasure. Which also opens up the opportunity for the community to back the campaign.

Catering to hardcore dungeon crawler fans. Even home builders and decorators. As well as explorers and completionists and farming fanatics. This also includes collectable hoarders and people who just want to live a simple life. While you chop down trees until the sun goes down. With a strong focus on aesthetics and an engaging experience. Gameplay lets you simply run around and explore the rich and beautiful world.
Features:
Build the home of your dreams anywhere on the island
Fast-paced, skill-driven dungeon crawler
Farm with wide-spread farming to small garden beds
Repair and upgrade the world around you
Complete a variety of quests as you get to know the interesting townsfolk
Len’s Island has been in development by Flow Studio for just under three years. The team is comprised of Julian Ball (Founder & Lead Designer), Martin Tapia-Vergara (Lead Programmer) and Lars Erik Fjøsne (Music Composer & SFX). Julian’s background is in game art and graphic design. Working as a freelance artist and teaching art and design online for over 6 years. Through his successful YouTube channel. Lars is a professional music composer and sound designer. As well as graphic designer. Releasing various self titled tracks and composing for games (Team Fortress 2). Martin has lectured in game design and game programming. While working on numerous indie game titles over the years. So if you want to pledge your support. Len’s Island action adventure is doing well on Kickstarter. With support for Mac and Windows PC, and Linux after the games launch. The crowdfunding campaign is due to end August 23rd, 2020 4:28 PM EDT. Also make sure to Wishlist the game on Steam.

This is a W.I.P of the audio for my current college project: British Litost.
The project is centered around poverty in Britain, and specifically the idea of/ controversy surrounding ‘Poverty Porn’. As an installation, I intend to present this audio alongside gif animations, as well as include an interactive element that will gauge the reaction of viewers. This work includes sound clips from the 2003 BBC documentary ‘Wire Burners’, a BBC Newsnight Debate on the Chanel 4 show ‘Benifits Street’ and a piano rendition of the song ‘Bad Medicine’ by Lars Erik Fjøsne. I do not own these clips.

Keyboard Progression
I have progressed in the song I originally set out to learn (Metal Gear - Sunrising). I can now almost play it to it’s end. I remember when I started this and I thought it would be super hard to even learn this one song. However I have almost prevailed in almost 3 months. I have been looking up other song I have been wanting to learn too.
The list so far is: Bad Medicine - Lars Erik Fjøsne (Although the music sheet I have is very brief and sounds a bit off when I play it so I assume it isn’t entirely accurate), Mad World - Gary Jules (I can already play to around 20% of the song with both hands with decent timing although there are milliseconds which is something I need to personally improve), Your Reality - Doki Doki Literature Club/Team Salvato and For the Damaged Coda - Blonde Redhead.
I am really excited to learn these. I am picturing myself showing off my skills in front of my friends and seeing them all being really impressed with me.
I am still a beginner at this and I know I still have much to learn on the keyboard however just thinking about it is exciting me, where I can one day picture myself performing complex and difficult songs like a master.

By Lars Erik Fjosne. I find this soundtrack incredibly calming and would love to be on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean while listening to this amazing soundtrack.

Lars Erik Fjøsne spent 30 minutes pulling together this submission, which will give Nils Frahm a run for his money. Excellent! Here’s what Lars had to say about it all:
I did mine in 30 minutes, and used 4 tracks (Piano, Ambient whispery Pad, Strings and a plucky wooden synth). I wanted to have the song progress and get bigger and wider throughout with the same theme repeating itself.
