So I’ve been posting on @vowcomic for nearly 5 years and every now and then, I’ll hear a voice that I think is PERFECT for one of my characters. I personally think that Terry Klassen’s performance as Dirty Rat in the English dub of Croatia’s Lapitch the Little Shoemaker is PERFECT for Meurig. Just the right kind of slimy and growling. Dirty Rat’s English singing is solid for Meurig too.

Anyways, go watch Lapitch the Little Shoemaker. The English dub is a little messy, but overall, it’s cute as heck!

My childhood movie tastes were fun. I had a few Disney movies I loved (most of them like 70s/80s "disney dark age" ones) but some of my earliest favorite movies were just random shit i probably got from the walmart budget bin.
Also throw in the infamously bad sequels to the Land Before Time which I watched religiously and can quote by heart.

Do you perhaps know the Croatian animated movie Lapitch the Little Shoemaker? I watched it recently and frankly I'm obsessed with the Dirty Rat song
Of course I do !!! We call him Hlapić, though (the same pronunciation, but with an H). It's based on one of Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić's children's stories :] she's a wonderful author, I always recommend her Croatian Tales of Long Ago, but Lapitch is such a classic. I'll have to be honest and say I haven't heard the songs in ages, but I remember Dirty Rat being very memorable - I still remember his gruff voice. But now you've reminded me, the animation was so charming, too, I miss those lil mice, I should rewatch it
#i think every croat has watched the cartoon with mice or at least read the story !! it's so <333 childhood <33333#asks

@im-gettingby Seriously though. Lamb looking at Baz Pitch and thinking: “This aristocratic brow, huh... I thought I’ll never see something like this again. Also those grey eyes and the way he glares when he’s angry. I’m having flashbacks. This guy is SO my type, I’m falling. I need him.”

When I compare Gadget from Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers and Lisa from Lapitch the Little Shoemaker, there is a curious resemblance.
They have the same hair and the same blue eyes.
This is why I made a drawing bringing Gadget and Lisa together.

42. Favorite childhood book, show, or videogame?
Already answered;; here it is:
“42-Favorite childhood book, show or videogame?
Book- I’d say “The Chronicles of Narnia”, my parents read the entirety of it to me as a bed time story bit by bit.. not the best book to read to a child but I still loved it to bits! (I was also the one that requested it ohoh.)
Others.. I loved listening to fairytes (still do eh;;), especially the most unknown ones! I had both books and audio tapes that I would listen to on repeat :,>
Show- Pokémon for sure, still remember all the old openings;;
... I also loved a pretty unknown show, for what I can tell, called Lapitch : the lil’ shoemaker. I don’t remember much of it except for a few precise scenes and the bad wolf guy but I know I adored it!
Videogame- I only had a Nintendo growing up, so it was The Professor Layton Saga (The Pandora Box one if I have to choose)!
I just loved the charm and the style of that game- and the riddles were quite cool!
Also Pokémon again! I have them from Platinum to Moon generation wise! Also got some Pokémon Rangers and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (never completed tho- because I’m that terrible at it;;)!
I knew all Pokémon from the first generation by memory for how much I loved them! (I was known as Nurse Joy at school since I also knew their info and stats ohoh).
Love them creatures so much that If I manage to get a switch when I finish my studies I would love to get Shield.. I just want to cuddle them Pokémon beauties;;; (especially Sobble evolution line aaaaa-)”.
