Season 7B confirmed on Netflix
Just in:
Season 7B will thankfully be available in Romania and other EU countries, starting November 23rd (November 22nd, in the US - different time zone).
I suppose we'll have the same drip/drop system, with one episode per week, on Friday nights, at midnight. The #Jottings series will, then, resume on this page accordingly.
I can only hope by the time Season 8 airs, I will be done with the books. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it, to be honest.
We are ready, Shipper Mom and I. This would be an interesting experiment (I am still embarrassed to watch The Wedding with this very nice and very open-minded lady - and not saying it just because it's well... Mom...).
On a completely different level, I am paging all those who confirmed they are willing and ready to meet & greet (and hug, and cheer) in Paris to contact me in DM. Let's get organized a bit, but no pressure either: we've still got time, still it would be nice to be/keep in touch, for a start. Thanks to @pamalissou, we now know taxi is another good option, for the Versailles trip.
I cannot wait!

I am hearing there is going to be (as I long suspected) another Landcon in Paris, next year.
Anyone willing to join me for coffee, croissants and mayhem?

Despite all the fuss back in June, I am happy to announce....
WE HAVE ALL OUR TICKETS SECURED FOR THE LANDCON 2025.
Shipper Mom included.
See you in Paris, ladies!
I am so fucking happy I could cry! I cannot wait to meet and hug all of you in person.
[Later edit] : In my excitement, I forgot to thank @pamalissou and our French friends who showed their support and were ready to the rescue. Without them, we could probably not have done it! 😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy you got your landcon tickets. Now crossing fingers that at least Sam's going. Then hopefully you will all take your chance to ask him about his son in person and why he and Cait were hiding for so long.
Dear Happy Anon,
Thank you for the warm wishes and I am almost sure/hopeful he (at least) will attend. But it's not just about meeting S with a bottle of very good Romanian wine in tow: it's more about meeting some of the wonderful women I have already become fast (but firm) friends with during all this last year in the fandom. And, of course, about celebrating this sense of home and belonging to a great fandom family together.
I can only hope you would understand why this precludes any other selfish or sensationalist temptation, such as asking this sort of things. Maybe this is my European self speaking, but I would definitely feel awkward doing it, especially when I know what many of us do, here. I do not think there is a need for me to go that extra mile and I also hope you will excuse my (perhaps) blunt honesty.
This is not about being a coward, as I think I have proved enough that sort of game was not in my cards, anyways. But this is about staying true to one's own values and respect of somebody else's privacy is something that is paramount for me. Embarrassing S, C or SC (as so many Antis do) is something I could never forgive myself.

Calling all Landcon 7 shippers
Landcon is happening April 26 -27, 2025 : that is, of course a full week-end for us. But many will be coming to Paris earlier and/or leaving later, so here is the deal:
As you all know, I thought a nice, no frills International Shipper Dinner would be a great idea to meet, hug and celebrate. Now I know there is also that (rather expensive) cosplay ultra secret dinner with the cast, but I doubt all of us will book it, for many reasons. A nice pizza joint near our hotels has been mentioned and I think it could be fun and very easy to organize - if you have any other venue in mind, please mention it in the comments and we will decide together.
At the same time, I wanted to honor both this whole experience and our shipper community, so I felt something more could be done, if we all agree to it. Paris has been home to me for a long while and I am (also) a historian with a deep passion for and knowledge of the Eighteenth century. A 'Dragonfly in Amber' tour of Paris would have been a bit too much to digest, however, and difficult to organize. But I think a half day tour of Versailles is manageable and could be both enriching and fun.
So, if you remember this...
... wouldn't you like to visit the place where it 'happened', along with the faint echoes of all that gossip and intrigue, at the court of Louis XV?
If so, let me guide you around, informally and for free. That means if we decide to go for it, we could equally split the cost of a roundtrip transfer and perhaps even book entry tickets at a group price. The more being the merrier, I think renting a van with driver is achievable and not too expensive. I will do the talk, in full transparency. We will discuss all the offers together and settle for the best one. I will never ask you for anything else: this is not how I work and this is my way to thank you.
The reason I am proposing to rent a van is obvious: it is easier to coordinate the group and it takes less time, as there is no direct public transport link between Courbevoie and Versailles:
It would take us at least one hour/leg, with quite some walking and it will require us to change two trams and (perhaps) one bus also, depending on traffic. However, if you decide this is something achievable, why not?
To make this very clear, I compared the prices for a round trip with a rented vehicle (different types, depending of how many of us would join the group). The company is randomly picked on Google, it's the first offer that I could see online, without waiting for an email:
So a round trip with van and driver could cost anywhere from 108 euros/pax to 19 euros/pax (unrealistic, perhaps, as we would have to be 59 for that). Again: the more, the merrier.
Using the public transportation network is, indeed, less expensive, as a Navigo Day Ticket (unlimited trips on the entire network) will cost 20.60 euros:
Whichever we choose, I am fine with it and happy to help everyone.
This poll will help us decide quickly and effectively, together:
This poll will remain open for one week and I will pin it to my page to make it more visible. When it will be closed, we will decide together. I am not forcing anything, nor selling anything. I will simply be over the moon, at any rate and cannot wait to meet all of you.
If you think it's interesting, kindly share this poll. Thank you all!

We'll always have Paris
I have pondered long and deep. I have thought about everything at stake. And here is my final decision about Landcon 7.
I will go. First of all, because my personal motto is 'Faire Face' (Face it!), an old French military battle cry - it never disappointed me. I felt it would be coward of me and I may be an idiot, but never a coward idiot. And then, simply because I would genuinely love to meet all of you shippers who will go, too. Finally, for the total immersion experience it provides: I think you are not in a fandom until you live it all. Cons included.
However, at least at this point in time, I am not planning to buy any extras. It is my useless, but completely assumed reaction to the cheap street show we've witnessed recently. And unless something changes drastically, I do not plan to shake hands, chit-chat, smile at the camera and beg for an autograph. I will buy the basic pack and I will watch & report.
I will be there for you and for me, too. Because of all the extraordinary people I have found in here. And I hope we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet around a Shipper Dinner table. That would be wonderful.
Thoughts?

For all the Landcon 7 Attendees
This is the Facebook group you must absolutely follow, as it will give all of us the latest info on the event (extras, guests and everything else): Attendees/ParticipantsLANDCON7.
I can't post the link here for some reason, but you should look for it on Facebook and will find it with ease. They will ask for your ticket number, in order to become a member (it is standard procedure and not a scam). So this is really a private, closed group where logistical info is shared and groups are being formed - for bookings, arranging transportation, etc.
My proposal is to arrange van transfers from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport to Courbevoie (the more, the cheaper & merrier) and also the promised International Shipper Dinner/Get Along. I can and will help any shipper with that and anything else logistics related. Feel free to ask and don't be strangers. And I am thinking about some more things, too.
Also, for all of you who really wanted to attend and were unable to secure tickets, they now exceptionally opened a Waiting List enquiry, in order to see if they can/should do something about it. Please fill in this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeSm75MUSf1P4RkYDcVVBuuRJV6Y2AY0kKWZoiH4bi08TMMeg/viewform?vc=0&c=0&w=1&flr=0
Maybe this will allow them to secure a better, bigger venue? I won't venture speculating, but I surely do hope this will be every bit as memorable as promised.

It's sad that you missed out on Landcon tickets. Do you know whether any fellow shippers are going? Bat cat maybe?
Dear Landcon Anon,
See? This is what it means to not read what I wrote properly.
I said I have missed the first BATCH of Landcon tickets, where most of those on sale were GOLD and LAND Passes, which did not interest our particular Shipper cluster at all.
There will be a second sale at the end of the summer, Anon. We are already organizing our teams in order to secure as many tickets as possible. And only when all is said and done, Anon, will we know how many of us are going to that Landcon. I shall be in Paris that week-end NO MATTER WHAT (eat my socks, BIF) and I will still be able to meet, hug and have dinner with anyone able and willing.
PS: There are a LOT of unhappy people after that first sale and with good reason. Making a 'karma is a bitch' post about what obviously was a critical server overload was so petty-minded and idiotic I could cry. But remember (ROFLMAO): she never disappoints.
