Hailing from a small town named Mayurbhanj in Odisha, the only career that she ever aspired of was to become a Fashion Designer. After completing her matriculation from Berhampur and High School from Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, she went on to complete her graduation in Arts. But she found her dreams shaping into reality only when she enrolled herself at INIFD Bhubaneswar. Celebrating Fashion And Interior Design On One Unique Platform During A Virtual Event ‘The Design Festival’ By INIFD – The Largest Global Network Of Design Institutes And RISE Worldwide. INIFD Bhubaneswar’s Fashion & Interior Design Students Participated In The Zonal Selection To Showcase At The Upcoming Lakmé Fashion Week – India’s Premier Fashion And Lifestyle Event.

The opportunity gets even bigger this season as 25 INIFD Design Winners will be selected from 5 zones. The selected Fashion Design students will get an exclusive opportunity to showcase at ‘INIFD Launchpad’ show during Lakmé Fashion Week and the selected Interior Design students get a chance to design sets of designer shows at Lakme Fashion Week in March 2022. Each winner will be rewarded with a cash prize along with a mentorship under the design experts from the rise worldwide.

The design concept for the selection, INIFD students had to pick their favorite movie or OTT series or a character from either one of them. Fashion Design students had to take inspiration to design a collection and the interior design students had to get inspired to interpret the set design and translate it with their own aesthetics.

The excitement of students grew exponentially when they came to know that the opportunity is bigger than ever and this led to higher motivation amongst them and the same was reflected in their performance. Student participation was elevated to a new level and experienced 600 plus participants. They portrayed best of their talent and creativity at ‘The Design Festival: Season 6’

– A series of nationwide ‘Live Virtual’ event where different Panel of Experts were judging the design entries of students.

The jury panels comprising eminent Industry experts were extremely impressed by the design presentation given by the INIFD Fashion and Interior Design students. They were overwhelmed with the energy and enthusiasm with which the students came forward and showcased their creativity.

There's this thing called design festival

Lakme launchpad. It's a competition of sorts. The preliminary round in which you get shortlisted on your concept and design pitch. Then the construction of select pieces from your pitch and the model walk at the venue of the final night. The winner gets a show at lakme and mentorship by img reliance idk.

It takes place twice a year, once per season.

I'm taking part this time around, finally.

The design brief was sent over by the organizers sometime during the diwali holidays so first day of college was only 4 days ahead of the deadline. It was also the first time they actually sent a design concept and elements that we needed to include, making it more of a competition than it ever was. I also had to chuck whatever I had prepared out of the window because it didn't fit in the brief from any angle whatsoever. I pulled a collection out of my ass and kept editing it until last minute and regret so many things that I couldn't fine tune before the submission but at least I did it.

A little proud for having done it. A little scared because it's so unstable.

I'll come back here to cry once the results come in and I find they've blindsided me without regard because let's face it my pitch is trash.
