story time

years ago a former classmate approached me to draw some sketches so she could forward them to a graphic designer to create informational signs; she never paid me but I didn't really pursue it and just cut my losses

but

today I read a news article about this very same classmate's business

turns out two employees quit over missing wages - an accountant and a social media manger, and they went so far as to get the local news involved in an attempt to get the pay they're owed

Anyways

I guess it's some kind of cosmic karma for not paying me THREE YEARS AGO

#talking to myself #covid and the energy crisis also fucked her business over #and they were at risk of closing #my mom bought some subscription like package #and receives juice and some other good like once every few months #but now im just whewwww #part of me wonders if its just genuine financial struggle unable to pay employees #but like only two people having complaints is sus #and also (gestures) maybe shes bold enough to fuck over people who actually have PROOF that theyre owed money #also id assume if you genuinely lack the funds youd say that #not ghost your employee until they have to sick bez tabu on you #also disclaimer - im not dancing on anyones grave #im just... tickled #im always entertained by strange coincidences #Laima mani uzjautrina
