I love how it's very clear that out of all the eliatrope dofus Echo could've been with, she just happens to hold Yugo and Adamai's in this one poster for the manga.

And it makes PERFECT SENSE.

The main antagonist of this poster is Jiva, who made a bigger presence in the manga situated between Season 2 and the ovas.

So during the time when Oropo wasn't created yet, Echo is seen smiling ominously while holding Yugo and Adamai's dofus. Of all the dofus she could be holding (or none at all), she chose Yugo's?

Absolutely insane that the minor Eniripsa character from Bestiale gets to do more with her powers in one single episode than Echo, the Eniripsa demigoddess and right-hand woman to Oropo, the bad guy that had been manipulating everything from the start, did all season (OVAs included).

Analysis of Wakfu and Yugo’s character:

Honestly, had it been given a more cohesive platform, Wakfu could’ve fucking slapped

Due to the whole story needing to be consumed via show, comics, webtoons, games and OVAs, a lot of it gets jumbled or rushed, making the story inconsistent with its quality and themes and leaving a lot of consumers in the dark due to not knowing critical context. But the actual concept? Absolutely amazing

A boy who’s sent on a journey of finding his real family, discovering he comes from dragons and gods. And not just any dragons or gods: the creators of the goddamn UNIVERSE. (A fact I consider to be incredibly underutilized honestly)

And as he comes into his powers the challenges and the trials become more and more dangerous and more and more and complex, he follows his moral code, despite the nuance of the situation. He’s incapable of changing who he is and what he must do. And it leads to him playing god, an act with consequences that are repeatedly foretold to destroy the world. But it didn’t matter how many times people warned him, he NEEDED to save his friend from Ogrest, he NEEDED to keep the Dofus, he NEEDED to stay to fight the Necromes, he NEEDED to share the Mechasm heart’s power. All these actions may have consequences that are devastating but not to take said actions would have been a betrayal of his character, a fundamental change in who he is. He can’t see the bigger picture like Echo, he can’t fully grasp the consequences like Toross, he can’t detach himself like Adamaï. He can only act in the moment to do what he thinks is right, and now the world is going to flood and thousands will die.

If Echo needed to have Oropo into her group, the closest thing I think she should've been to him was a soul sister.

Since Oropo is a copy of Yugo, he'll need his own dragon sibling, and who better than Echo, a half dragon half eniripsa demigoddess?

They don't have to tell us that they have this kind of relationship, they could just imply it. Like that, Echo can still have a mind of her own instead of slowly falling for him.

Even though she claimed that she believed in his cause first and then fell in love with him later, her dedication to the brotherhood seemed somewhat diminished to me. In Season 3, we had three romantic relationships, which felt excessive for just 13 episodes. I genuinely believe the season could have benefitted from a longer pacing if we had removed two of the romantic subplots.

First, we can eliminate Arpagone, as she was never meant to exist. Ruel explicitly mentioned in Season 2 that he almost got married but ultimately didn't. By doing this, we could have had more time for Yugo and Amalia to interact or have scenes away from the group, since this episode would be less cluttered. The missing Enutrof demigod in the tower could serve as a plot device to facilitate this. The upcoming fifth volume of the Ogrest manga might explain this disappearance, as Tot enjoys exploring the world through various types of media. Ruel doesn't need a romantic subplot; he's accomplished so much in his lifetime. So let's just let him retire and have some nice adventures like back in the day with his younger friends.

Second, I believe that Echo and Oropo's romantic relationship should have been removed from the story. It didn't resonate with me, and I don't think it served the plot well either. Instead, Echo could be reimagined as Oropo's non-related sister, a dragon/Eniripsa character. Initially, she would be the one eager to wipe out the gods, but upon meeting Oropo, she'd discover that he shares the same goal. This realization would lead them to join forces as a duo, rather than having a leader and a subordinate. This change would explain why she appeared to be in control in the Ogrest manga and why she knew what to do in the Wakfu special OVAs.

Making her Oropo's double could serve as a significant reference to the relationship Yugo had with Adamai, the eliatrope and dragon, further emphasizing Oropo's similarities to Yugo.

It would also take out the romantic scenes that they had going on, which would leave out space for some nice platonic love scenes for these two.

Mini Comic ‼️ Prologue to the story of my OC Thyra✨✨

It was hard but totally worth it, I loved drawing my favorite brotherhood💖. Some of you may wonder why I haven't drawn characters like Poo, Kali, Dathura, etc. I did it intentionally since when this brotherhood welcomed Thyra, it was chronologically before the Ogrest comic. This happens in the Era of Dofus!
