A League Apart - Womens Golf Clubs

These days, women do universe a guy can, including playing certain sports that was once upon a time male dominated. This refers to the sport of golf, which off late has been seeing an increase in mathematics of girlfriend players. However, there are some facet which are different between men and girlfriend playing golf. Iowa Goodwill Thrift Haul

Thrifting has become a new hobby and obsession of mine. I have always been into fashion and had a love for clothes all my life. My three different closets can test for that. But it wasn’t till this past winter I found Haley’s Corner on Youtube. She inspired something deep within me. She is the literal queen of thrifting. After watching almost her whole channel of videos I knew this is something I could try out. Low and behold my first ever thrifting adventure and haul. 

Davenport and Bettendorf Iowa were my first two cities to test the waters of thrifting. What other places to have your first thrifting adventure than Goodwill! I was ecstatic to find that both places had pretty decent sized shopping carts upon arrival. I didn’t have a list going into either place other than don’t spend more than $60 at each place. I held pretty well to my limit too. The first place was Goodwill in Davenport on Villa Drive. The place was smaller than I originally anticipated but none the less I found many gems. This store had a steller denim section but sadly had no men’s t-shirt section. Their men section was not that stellar. The second stop was Goodwill Bettendorf. This store was a lot bigger than the first stop. They had a great ladies’ top section. It’s where I scored the Master’s Golf tank. This store also had a section dedicated solely to activewear. I score brands like Nike and Underarmour for dirt cheap. It’s safe to say both stops will be shopped at again in the near future. Now each brand of thrift stores is different from how they sort the merchandise. I choose Goodwill as my first store brand because they are known for their organization. You know how much I love organization! Goodwill sections the clothes by size and by color. Don’t let this fool you though sometimes there are those gems hidden amongst the other sizes just waiting to be found. You’ll definitely want to look through other sizes too, not just your own. There are so many treasures to find, you just have to look and be patient. With that being said let us get to the haul. 

Outfits:

The Master’s Championship Tank 

When I saw this tank and did a happy dance in Goodwill. I have been golfing since I was little so when I saw the Master’s logo I grabbed it. This tank would have cost so much as a souvenir but I got it for a whole $3. It’s so comfy and a perfect shirt for the summer golf match. Here I paired it with some simple dark denim for an everyday look. 

Stoosh Black Blazer 

Thrift stores are the perfect place to find business attire. I found this blazer for $3. It’s the perfect business women staple. I paired this blazer with a simple cheetah tank, black Old Navy business pants, and cheetah print heels to complete the look. I snagged this blazer because of the color, of course, black is the perfect color that goes with anything and the sleeve length. It’s not a full length which makes it wearable for all seasons. 

GAP Grey Sweater and Old Navy High Waisted RockStar Jeans 

I’m a sucker for sweaters, but thrifting a sweater can be tricky. Finding one that isn’t stretched out or not in the greatest condition. The color, neckline, and the length of the sweater. This one was a mega find. Along with these amazingly soft and high waisted jeans. I love the distressed on the knees and the cut at the bottom. The sweater was $4 and the jeans were $6. I styled both of them together with the signature white Vans at the bottom to complete the outfit. 

Boutique Brand Black and White Top with a Suede Pocket

 Who doesn’t love a good color combination? Black, white, and light brown go so well together on this shirt. It is the perfect length to wear with leggings to work or even some dark denim jeans. Here I styled it with some simple black leggings and white Vans to complete the color balance. I scored this top for only $3! 

Eye Candy Zip Up and So Brand Light Wash Jeggings 

Another fully thrifted outfit besides the shoes. The zip-up is THE comfiest top I have ever owned. It’s also thin enough to wear even on the hot summer days. The jeans are the softest ones in my collection of denim. The light wash is a perfect color to pair with anything this spring and summer. I got the zip-up for $3 and the jeans for $6. That’s a whole outfit for $9! I paired both with some suede grey Vans.  

St John’s Bay Navy Top, GAP Light Washed Denim Vest, and So Brand White Denim 

One of the many favorites that I have thrifted is this outfit right here. The whole outfit is from this Goodwill trip. Everyone needs a pair of staple white denim in their closet. These are so soft, comfy, and fit like a glove. The navy top and denim vest compliment each other so well too. It’s the perfect combination of light and dark together. I scored the top for $3, the vest for $7, and the jeans for $6. That’s another whole outfit for only $16. You normally have to pay that money for one shirt at a mall. 

A New Day Yellow Top and Maurices Dark Denim 

I really like styling the color that seems to be very on-trend lately, mustard yellow. I found the perfect comfy long sleeve for only $3. The material and color is the reason I fell in love with it. The jeans are that perfect fit everyone looks to find. I have multiple shades of denim and these just added to my collection. They were a total of $6. I styled them both together with some Burks to complete the look. 

Banana Republic Cheetah Top and Talbots Grey Denim Jacket 

This is another one of my favorite outfits and it’s all thrifted! The cheetah print top pairs so well with the grey denim jacket. The jacket is so comfy and the silver detailing that makes it pop. I finished the look off with the grey suede Vans. This look is perfect for a day out on the town with friends. I got the top for $3 and the jacket for $11. 

Express Dark Denim Vest 

The outfit is giving me all the fall vibes. Who here loves fall as much as me? This denim vest is perfect to go with all those flannels sitting in your closet. I scored this for $8! I styled it here with some non-thrifted items, a flannel, and simple black leggings with those suede beaded sandals. 

Ann Taylor Dark Denim Jacket 

Everyone needs that perfect dark denim jacket in their closet. This Ann Taylor jacket was a great find. I love denim. I will always snag a good denim jacket or jeans when I find them. I snagged this baby for $11. That’s a STEAL! Name brand and good quality! Here I styled it with some non-thrifted items: a simple tank top in mustard color, olive green Old Navy dress pants, and simple suede beaded sandals. This look is perfect for work or just a simple day on the town. 

Under Armour Bright Pink Active Top 

When you find name brands at a thrift store that are also good quality how can you not pass them up? I got a perfect condition Under Armour’s active top for $9. I style it with just about anything from leggings to jeans to sweatpants. This was definitely on the list of the top finds. 

Nike Black Active Tank 

Snagging all the name brands in the active section. I scored this Nike tank for $6. It’s the original dry-fit material to keep you cool during those hot and sweaty workouts on the track. I have it styled here as a gym to an everyday outfit with black athletic leggings and white Vans. 

Grey and Pink Iowa Dance T-Shirt 

This is my favorite t-shirt right now. It’s so soft, it’s unreal. I had to have it since it has my two favorite things! Dance and Iowa Hawkeyes! The best part it was only $3. Another find on the top of my list. 

Nike USA Olympic Team Active Tank 

Another name brand find. A Nike USA Olympic tank. This tank is the perfect combination of comfy and soft. Two qualities you want in a workout shirt. This tank was only $6 at Goodwill. You can even style it with some denim shorts or jeans for an everyday look. 

Under Armour Grey and Pink T-shirt 

Last on this thrift haul is another name brand top. This simple Underarmour t-shirt has the dry fit material also but adds a splash of color with the bright pink. This would be perfect for the gym or for an everyday outfit too with some jeans. This t-shirt was only $6 to top it all off.

Victim Number 30 | Part One FBI Agent!Jaehyun x Cafe Owner!Reader

Genre: Crime, Angst, a touch of fluff

Summary: FBI Agent!Jaehyun is currently working on a homicide case where 15 victims were found dead within 4 months. Deciding to take up on Partner!Doyoung’s offer for a coffee break at a new cafe where he met Cafe Owner!Reader, fallen in love at first sight. But are you who Jaehyun thinks you are?

Warnings: Cursing, mention of blood, death, murder (nothing too extreme but if you are uncomfortable with this kind of story, i suggest don’t read it)

This is my very first story, i tried my best to make this story realistic to the best of my abilities, i think it turned out okay. However the angst doesn’t start in this part yet, maybe it will start on the next one aaaannndd i hope you enjoy 🌸💗

Lights flashed across the room, capturing the disastrous event, people shuffling in and out of the house. In the center of the living room, stood three men dressed in expensive suits, circling the chalk outline of where the body was found.

“Kang Hyun-Jun, 42 years of age, estimate time of death around 10am, golf club was the killer’s weapon of choice” Taeyong stated while looking through the data in his hands. He looked to his right where Doyoung stood “have you contacted the wife?” he asked. Doyoung let a loud sigh as he looked down his phone before tucking it in his pants pocket.

“No sir, apparently the wife has a business trip overseas; we are not able to contact her at the moment. However we have contacted the victims’ daughter. She’s currently being brought to the station for questioning” Doyoung lets out another sigh while looking back down at the chalk outline. “Who in the world would do this?” Taeyong shook his head silently as he goes through the data again “Only a sick person would do this kind of thing. “And just like the other victims, this victim has a clean crime record”

The third man glanced around the living room, there was a pool of blood, staining the wooden floor that will take more than just an old rag to clean, the couch painted with red polka-dots and next to the coffee table, laid the bloody gold club. Jaehyun eyes shifted down the hall. Red decorated the pristine walls, along bloody handprints and smeared blood; the smell of iron can be smelled from the living that he is standing now.

“The victim” Jaehyun spoke, catching his boss and partner’s attention, both waiting patiently for Jaehyun to continue “Judging by the blood splatter, the killer made their first attack in that hall. The victim attempt to run away but due to being hit in the head, they lean their body against the wall but lost their balance, leaving smeared blood on the wall. The victim proceed to crawl, which explain the trail of blood from the hallway to the living room” Jaehyun eyes went back to look at the chalk outline before continuing “What’s sickening to me is how the killer watched the victim crawled away, attempting to save their lives but proceed to kill them in the end. It shows that the killer finds it entertaining to watch their victim writhe in pain” Doyoung nodded his head in agreement while Taeyong shook his head for the umpteenth time “Like I said, only a sick person. Meet me back at the office, we’ll discuss this matter over there” And with that, Taeyong left the crime scene, leaving Jaehyun and his partner, Doyoung 

“This makes the 15th victim in 4 months, who in the hell is this killer?” Jaehyun exclaimed, 4 months has been stressful for Jaehyun as there are no clues that leads to the killer “I don’t know, I’d rather help an old lady who got their bag stolen than this case that leads us to nowhere” Doyoung ran his hand through his hair, another sigh leaving his lips again. Jaehyun patted his partner shoulder, he couldn’t agree more with Doyoung with that one, sure Jaehyun had previous murder cases but never something like this where not a single thing that could help them take a step forward. “I need a coffee break, wanna come? There’s this café that recently opened, the coffee is good and way cheaper than your Americano from that coffee shop you go to” Doyoung offered, Jaehyun stood still for a while, thinking whether he should follow Doyoung for a coffee break or go back to the station to avoid Taeyong getting mad for being late, He decided on taking the first choice, exiting the house towards Doyoung’s car. Taeyong can wait just for a few minutes right?

Both of them sat in the car in silence, with the occasional ticking noises from the turn signal whenever Doyoung made a turn. Soon enough, both men arrived at the café, Jaehyun stepped out of the car and looked at the café signboard that reads “(y/n)’s café” A bell let out a soft jingle as they walked through the door, announcing their presence. It looked like any other café, warm atmosphere, customer either talking or doing their work and the aroma of coffee beans filling up the room with a hint of sweetness from baked goods.

Waiting in line, Jaehyun’s eyes scanning the menu “Hello, may I take your order” a soft feminine voice spoke, Jaehyun look for the source of the voice and his jaw almost dropped. There stood you, behind the counter with a soft smile, hair in a neat ponytail; eyes bright and clear, Jaehyun never meet someone as gorgeous as you. He was so immersed by your beauty that he didn’t hear Doyoung calling out for him until he elbowed Jaehyun’s side, snapping him out of his daze

“What’s up with you?” Doyoung ask with annoyance lacing in his voice. Jaehyun eyes went back to you, you still had that beautiful smile on your face but your eyebrows were raised in concern “Your order sir?” you asked again, while tilting your head to the side.

“Oh, er… I would like an iced Americano please”

“And what size would you like sir?”

“Big size” Doyoung chokes on his iced coffee while stifling a laugh. Jaehyun’s ear turned bright right, embarrassed how stupid he sounded before quickly correcting himself “i-I’m sorry, I would like a large size please” At this point Doyoung couldn’t hold it in and let out a full blown laughter, catching stares from others customers in the café, not that he cared, he just witness his partner and longtime friend getting all flustered because of a girl. If they weren’t in public, Jaehyun would have beat Doyoung to the ground but his thoughts were interrupted by a soft giggle. Your eyes were in a perfect crescent shape, cheeks pink and a big smile plastered on your face, this sight alone is enough for Jaehyun heart flutter

“One large iced Americano coming right up” You smiled warmly. In that moment, Jaehyun knew he had fallen head over heels for you.

“Can you please shut the fuck up or I swear I’ll kill you in your sleep” Jaehyun grumbled, iced Americano in hand as he and Doyoung made their way towards the office for a meeting. “Big size” Doyoung wheezed “That’s probably the best thing you’ve said so far” Doyoung continued to laugh, stopping in his track to lean on the wall for support, hand slapping his knee. “Just let it go already. I got nervous, so what? Isn’t that just a normal reaction if you’re face to face with an attractive person?” He groaned. Soon Doyoung regain his composure and stood up straight, wiping tears that might have form in his eyes from laughing too hard “If you found her attractive, why not asked for her number later” Doyoung suggested “Come on, we’re late for our meeting” With that, Doyoung walked swiftly past him, Jaehyun could only shake his head because of Doyoung’s laughing fit just a moment ago is the reason why they are late.

Upon entering the meeting room, they were greeted with a glare from Taeyong “You’re late” He said sternly, both men bowed their heads as an apology, Taeyong tilt his chin up towards the empty chairs, motioning the two men to take their seats

“Right, before we were interrupted by unpunctual agents” Taeyong eyeing both Doyoung and Jaehyun, both of them had their heads low “Kun, how did the interrogation went with the victim’s daughter?” Across the table, Kun took out papers from his files and hand it over to Taeyong “Ms. Ha Eun said she could not think that anyone will try to murder her father, Mr. Kang Hyun-Jun was an HR manager; she said if one of his employees holds a grudge on her father, killing him is little too far” Kun explained calmly

“What about Mrs. Kang? Are we able to contact her; and what about Mr. Kang’s employees?” Taeyong asked as he flipped through the pages in his hand.

“Mrs. Kang will be flying back to Seoul in two days’ time; she will come for questioning on Thursday morning.  As for Mr. Kang’s employees, all 4 four of them agreed that Mr. Kang was a very nice person, they could not believe anyone would murder him”

“All of them saying they couldn’t believe anyone would murder him. Well news flash, He’s already dead, killed by a psycho that we’ve been trying to catch for 4 months but to no avail!” Taeyong slammed his hands on the desk, startling everyone in the room “Forensic department?”Taeyong directed his question towards Taeil.

“Nothing sir, there was no fingerprints on the weapon, the window, the doorknob or in any part of the murder scene, just like previous cases. The killer is a very careful person” Taeil spoke “And like previous cases, we only found footprints, a size 9 shoe; nothing new” Taeyong sighed deeply, his head hung low. Remember when Jaehyun thought that he was stress on the current case, well he takes that back, if anyone is stress on this case, it’s Taeyong, he’s been working on this case since the beginning, Jaehyun and Doyoung were added to this case on the third month of the investigation.

“Do we at least have a witness?” Taeyong plead, his eyes scanned the room, only to look back down again when everyone in the room shook their heads

“I checked the surveillance camera a 100 yards from the victim’s house and found nothing. It seems our killer knows the area well to avoid the cameras” Johnny piped in

“Just like the previous cases as well” Taeyong sighed, rubbing his temples as he leans back in his chair. “Victim number 6, Lee Junghoon, 53 years old, a CEO who had like hundreds of CCTVs in and outside of his house, not a single footage of the killer coming or going out. Not to mention, the CCTV wasn’t even tampered with.”

“Victim number 9, Park Hyun Shik, age 21 our youngest victim, a college student majoring in sport education. Lived in a lively neighborhood where a lot of residence are out walking their dog or have parties yet not a single witness” Johnny stated, everyone in the room grumbled, frustrated how the killer was able to get away from being caught on camera and avoid causing trouble in a small neighborhood

“The killer doesn’t even have a killing pattern, they just killed at the most random time and place” Jaehyun said “Each victim are at a different age, different occupation, different backgrounds, different use of weapons or cause of death, kills both men and women. The only thing these victims have in common is that they are found dead in their house. It seems our killer finds comfort killing their victim at their own house. Why not we send out officer for patrolling? We possibly can-“

“We tried that, it didn’t do anything” Taeyong cut in “Victim 4, Yook Soyoung, age 32. We had 10 police officers patrolling her neighborhood and all 10 didn’t see shit, it’s like the killer knows our next move” Jaehyun sighed and leaned back into his chair. The room went silent until Taeyong dismisses everyone. Jaehyun sat still on his chair, recalling all 15 victims. He finds it odd how the killer never kills outside until something clicked in his head

“Our killer kills their victim at their home” Jaehyun slowly standing up and facing Taeyong, Doyoung who was about to leave the room stopped in his track to listen what his partner has to say

“Is that still not clear after 15 victims?”

“All victims had at least one person living with them yet they were alone when they were murdered”

“So our killer is not only a psychopath but also a stalker huh?” Taeyong scoffed “They stalk their victims as well with the person they are living with, memorizing their routine and strike when the victim is alone”

“While stalking their victim, the killer has probably got themselves familiar with the area, which explained how they can maneuver their way out without being seen” Doyoung chuckled in disbelief. Taeyong groaned as he slumped back into his chair “God, I just want this to end”

Jaehyun sat in his car, waiting for the light to turn green so he could drive back home, take off his suit and belly flop onto his bed. His eyes shift towards the; now empty, plastic cup standing on the cup holder. His mind then started to remember Doyoung’s words on getting your phone number. He sat up straight in his car seat and made a U-turn, driving back to your café. When he pulled over and stepped out of his car, he saw you closing your café for the day. Jaehyun felt nervous to approached you, he thought he could come tomorrow and asked for your number later until you noticed him

“Well good evening Mr. Big size” You giggled, tucking a lose strand of hair behind your ear as you walked towards a frozen Jaehyun “Would you like one big size iced Americano? I can open my shop for a while for you” Jaehyun had his mouth opened yet no words come out so he just nod his head without thinking, you smiled warmly and walked back to reopen your shop. Still frozen in his spot, Jaehyun mentally cursed himself for being a love-struck teenage boy who can’t keep even start a conversation with a girl, he’s a grown man goddammit, his trains of thoughts were interrupted when you called him in; he made his way in, quite stiffly due to nervousness.

“So I didn’t quite catch your name Mr. Big size” You said behind the counter while grinding the coffee beans. Jaehyun grumbled in embarrassment by the nickname which only cause you to giggle even louder

“Please don’t call me that” Jaehyun had his face in his hands, elbows leaning on the counter, He stood straight up and look anywhere but you to avoid messing up with his words “My name is Jung Jaehyun”

“Well nice to meet you Mr. Jung Jaehyun, my name is (y/n), the owner of this place, please to make your acquaintance” You turned around and send a beaming smile towards him. If it wasn’t for that stool bar behind him, he would have fallen onto his ass because your smile had his knees weak. You went back to making coffee, hands moving elegantly as your stir the brown liquid “What do you do for a living Mr. Jung?”

“Jaehyun! Just call me Jaehyun” He spoke a little too eagerly “I’m a FBI agent” You briefly stopped your movement, almost dropping the spoon in your hand before continuing “Oh? And what’s an FBI agent doing here?” you asked quietly as you placed the finish coffee in front of Jaehyun. ‘You can do this, Jaehyun’ he thought to himself ‘just say you came back for her and ask for her number’

You had your arms across your chest, leaning you weight on your left leg as you waited for Jaehyun to speak “..i came back..for the coffee! Yeah, your coffee is great” ‘way to go you coward’ Jaehyun cursed silently. You only smiled; unaware that Jaehyun was screaming at himself “Why I’m glad to hear you enjoy my coffee, it’s my very own special blend with 5 types of coffee beans, each roasted in different ways”

“Oh cool” Jaehyun chuckled nervously as he took a sip of his coffee. You just stared at him as he continued to sip of his coffee looking anywhere but you ‘How cute’ you thought “Is that the only reason why you’re here?” He stopped drinking and looked at you, his heart beating rapidly “well… I was hoping that I could get your number” He shyly asked “It’s understandable if you don’t want, i-I mean we just meant but a-and-“ you quietly wrote down your number as Jaehyun continue to rambled, only stopping when you handed a folded paper to him. Jaehyun eyes lit up, thanking you happily, he took out his wallet to pay for the coffee but you stopped him by placing your hand on top of his. Your hands were smaller compare to his, and a lot warmer.

“How about you treat me for lunch tomorrow?”

 Doyoung whistled as he walked down the hall with coffee in his hand, the other hand slung around Jaehyun’s shoulder the moment he saw him. “So how’s my lover boy doing?” He teased; Jaehyun rolled his eyes, pushing Doyoung’s arm off around his shoulder. “Since when did my love life become important to you?” “Ever since your date with Ms. (y/n)” He wiggled his eyebrows at him. Jaehyun lightly shook his head and walked past Doyoung. It’s been a few weeks since he first met you at the café and within those few weeks has been lovely. He enjoyed your dates from a small picnic at the park to movies at his place, you made him feel whole, you offer him comfort and support and you wash his problem and stress away with a single kiss, he’s proud to call you his. However he has to stop thinking about you for a while, his killer made their move.

“Choi Yoonwoo, 24 years of age, and his girlfriend, Chung Jihyo, 23 years of age, both found dead on their bed with their throat slit, killing them in their sleep” Taeyong announce “This is the first time our killer murdered two people at the same time, they clearly targeted both victims. Mr. Nakamoto, have you finished the background check?” The Japanese agent nod his head, giving the details to Taeyong

“Mr. Choi was working as an intern at a newspaper company while Ms. Chung worked at a café that opened a couple months back as a barista at (y/n) café” Jaehyun’s eyes went wide, he briefly made eye contact with Doyoung before returning his attention back to the meeting “The café owner will arrive shortly for questioning. Other than that, nothing in particular is alarming; the two victims were just your average couple with a clean crime record”

“And I assume there’s not a single fingerprint of the kitchen knife?” Taeyong asked, Taeil shook his head “Since Kun is questioning Mr. Choi’s boss, Jaehyun, I want you to question Ms. (y/surname)” With that, Taeyong concluded the meeting and dismisses everyone, Jaehyun stood up from his seat slowly and made his way towards the interrogation room. He looked through the window and saw you sitting in the center of the room, hands across your lap, fiddling your fingers, a habit of yours when you are nervous. He took a deep breath before going inside. Your head snapped towards to face him, you immediately stood from your seat “Jaehyun” you whimpered, sensing that you were scared; Jaehyun went to give you a hug, rubbing soothing circles on your back “I’m going to ask a few simple questions, and you’re to answer for me, yeah?” He whispered softly. You nodded your head against his chest, Jaehyun slightly push you away to look at you, placing a soft peck on your forehead before asking you to take a seat

“How long did Ms. Chung worked in your café?”

“She started last month” you answered softly “She was a good employee, always does her work diligently, never missed a day of work”

“Have you noticed anything strange happening at your café? Maybe she got into a fight with her co-workers, or maybe she was rude to a customer?”

“Jihyo was a sweetheart; she was very polite to both her customers and co-workers and gets along with them just fine” resting your head on your hands “Who would do such a thing?” Jaehyun’s large hands grabs yours while the other wipes away the tears in your eyes “shh, it’s okay love. I still have one more question to ask, can you do that?” You let out a soft sigh, looking at Jaehyun’s eyes, signaling you’re ready for the next question.

“We discovered that she finished her shift early that night, can you explained how Ms. Chung was that day?”

“Jihyo asked me if she could leave a bit early because she was meeting someone, I wanted to refuse but it seemed like it was urgent so I gave her my permission. And I guess it was pretty urgent because I never see her leave the shop that quickly. Now that I think about it, she had asked to leave early a few times before”

“Was she meeting with Mr. Choi that night?”

“I don’t think so, Jihyo always tells me if she’s going to see Yoonwoo, that night was the first time she’s meeting someone without mentioning their names” Jaehyun hummed, crossing his arms across his chest “Who do you think she was meeting up with?” You sat there quietly; hands neatly folded on your lap, your eyes went from the floor to meet Jaehyun’s, your exterior alarmingly calm.

“I have no idea”

 “Coming from their landlord, Mr. Choi left for work earlier than usual. Their landlord recalled a brief conversation she had with him and told her that he was meeting someone. She once saw Mr. Choi getting inside a black Honda one early morning; unfortunately, she couldn’t see who was on the driver’s side or remember the license plate” Kun explained “However, after being seen leaving hours early for work, Mr. Choi arrived at work on time. It’s clear to say that he spent his morning with the person driving the black Honda”

“Do we know what car model the black Honda was?”

“Neighbors claimed it was a 2010 CR-Z”

Taeyong hummed before turning his attention towards Jungwoo “What about the body; any results?” “They are clean, sir. No signs of substance abuse” “So they are not meeting up with a drug dealer like we assumed” Taeyong sighed “No sir” Taeyong sat back on his chair, spinning around a couple of times

“I found it interesting however” Jungwoo chimed in, catching everyone’s attention “Our killer likes to kill their victim by beating them or suffocating them, but these two victims were the first to be killed with a sharp object and the slit on the throat was clean, a little too clean I would say, maybe our killer has a medical background” “Can we stop assuming killers who leaves clean cuts had medical training?” Doyoung argued, crossing his arms over his chest “For all we know, our killer could be a butcher. Remember victim number 12? A professional body builder was strangled to death. Do you think a person who cuts people open for a living can take down a 6’4’’ tall guy? I think not”  “I cut people open for a living” Jungwoo whispered sullenly “Just because victim 12 had muscles, doesn’t mean he was strong, that human rock could be top heavy, making it easy for the killer to take him down” Taeyong cuts in, the two men mumbled a soft apology  

“As for the clean cut” Taeyong continued “It could be a doctor, a butcher, a chef, a person from the military, or a random person with high level knife skills. Or maybe our killer could have none from the above and just got ‘lucky’, who knows” Taeyong shrugged his shoulders “Dismiss”

 “Something smells really good” you giggled as you felt arms wrapped around your waist as you were cooking dinner at Jaehyun’s place. Jaehyun buried his face on the crook of your neck, peppering kisses on the exposed skin he could reach. You stopped what you were doing to turn around to give him a proper kiss “I’m making your favorite” “Aren’t you my favorite?” Jaehyun laughs as you hit him playfully, whining how corny he sounded “Could you cut the meat for me?” “Anything for you” Jaehyun lets you go and proceed to grab a knife to help you cut the meat. Jaehyun’s cooking skills were okay, he can make some dishes that are good but he always asked the butcher to cut his meat for him because he always struggles at it, like he is right now. He can never cut them cleanly and (y/n) seems to notice this. You softly nudge him to the side and took the knife from him and swiftly sliced the meat with no difficulties, as if you were cutting through butter; leaving a clean cut on the meat.
