Labyrinth AU

So recently I've been watching Jim Henson's the Labyrinth and reading it's sequel Return to the Labyrinth and the prequel Labyrinth: Coronation and this popped into my head.

Juvia is the daughter of a writer and an actress, as a child her parents were killed in a car accident and she was adopted by her mother's friend Grandeeney and her husband Igneel.  She's highly imaginative, possessing her love of fantasy and theatrics and she's very close with her adopted brother Natsu. When she becomes a teenager she finds it hard to fit in school and still hasn't recovered from her the deaths of her parents. One day while visiting her neighbor's house she finds an old storybook about a land known as the labyrinth, it's inhabitants, and it's ruler the goblin king. That same day a group of bullies push her too far and as she's sobbing in her bedroom over it, she reads the book and discovers a chant inside which when spoken out loud transport a person to the Labyrinth. 

She reads the chant out loud and is magically transported to the Labyrinth where she learns that the storybook and it's characters are real. She is brought to the Goblin king Gray who agrees to send her back home after working as his maid. (This is because he has a personal vendetta against humans). During her stay at the Labyrinth she starts to befriend some of the residents and grows close to Gray.

Meanwhile after noticing Juvia has disappeared, Natsu finds the book and when he reads that she's is in it he goes to see his neighbors and they explain to him about the book. Natsu reads the chant and goes to the Labyrinth to find Juvia. On his journey he meets Lucy, Gray's sister and other creatures who offers to help him. But the Labyrinth is full of secrets, lies, and darkness and it's up to Juvia and Natsu to uncover the truth.

cuz joe has the Drama and charisma

but nicky has the mysterious aloofness and otherworldly aura

i’m imagining joe being really into poetry and stories (which ofc attracts goblinking!nicky bc his Soul fucking shines) and in a fit of passionate frustration bc he wants more out of life but he doesn’t know what the more is, he wishes away his little sibling and meets gk!nicky and his whole world shifts bc THIS is what he’s been missing, the magic, but now he has to get his sibling back whilst trying not to fall in love with nicolo even tho he secretly wants to be his husband and rule the labyrinth alongside him

but then i also imagine nicky being trapped in his life and always following the rules and in an act of reckless rebellion and as a joke to just feel something other than despair, wishes his little sibling away and then goblinking!joe (drawn to nicky’s fire and conflict) just shows up and throws nicky’s entire worldview upside down and nicky HAS to get his sibling back but also he kinda wants to lose so he has to stay forever bc yusuf sets his soul ablaze

anyway joe and nicky falling in love in the middle of a labyrinth with goblins and fairies and magic and masquerade balls and tight pants whilst crooning love songs at each other and promising to make each others wishes come true is where i’m going with this

Ready, Set... Paint!

30x30 Direct Watercolor Month begins today and aiming to do a painting a day. Mainly to stop overworking as I got the speed. First week will be characters of the main "party" of my Undertale AU which has shifted away from being a Fellswap to a much different type of Fell AU.

Hence, first up is Sans. A Scout of the Queendom and Matron of the Lost Woods, her brother and she pretend to be sons of the Iwatani family to gather information on the Surface and gather Grief Seeds to keep the Underground a sacturary to all "Magic Kind." A Mage who maybe lax, she takes her roles in life very seriously and will do anything to ensure to keep the Queen's Promise: "Save or be saved, never question if life cannot be saved."

Yet, she rather be a Sentry in the Royal Guard with seeing the tinderbox that is the Surface getting close to igniting as many cities see a decrease in Witches and Magical Girls begin to fight over hunting grounds. So, when given a direct request from the Queen for a mission with the reward being a place in the Royal Guard for Papyrus and her... Welp, that got a fire under her bum and she went to Kamihama City into looking into both Kingdom and Queendom Mages that have disappeared there...

Sadly, Sans luck to get dragged into crazy situations comes into play with Witches aplenty in this city, odd creatures speaking of odd rumors, and a magical girl with a fetish of pointing muskets at others.

"jeez. be careful or ya knock out a tooth."

"Mami! Why are-"

"These curses... You're the Witch preying on the library goers!"

"eh? ah, crap the... no,no, see!" I held up the book I was reading. "i came here to research some of my fellow mag-magical girls from my city who ended off the radar."

"And how does a light novel help you?"

"yeah... it hit my head and my short attention span nipped me."

"Huh?!"

"A labyrinth!"

"ah, what the heck? this isn't a labyrith. it is too full of stable magic to be so."

"A trap then?"

"can you stop pointing the gun at me? hell no. i suck at setting complex puzzles. that's paps forte."

"Familars! Lots of them."

"dammit, i take one moment to enjoy a book and things go to... wait, what the soul?! why is the shield hero part blank?!"

"Are you seriously worried over... Wait, drop it! That's the trap!"

"i can't! it's a friggin' isekai trap!... stop! you'll be dragged-"

When the librarians checked the area, they found noone even with hearing voices. The traps also only blurs... Hence the rumor of the seaside library changed to people spiriting away into the books they read to being haunted by spirits who refuse to leave.

Nach der Silent Disco wurde ein Labyrinth aus Lichtern hinter dem youngPOINTreformation aufgebaut. Am Ziel bekam jeder einen kleinen Zettel mit einem Spruch dazu.

After the Silent Disco, a labyrith of lights was put up behind the youngPOINTreformation. At the end, everyone got a small paper with a quote on it.
