★ Salman Khan won’t go to OTT; would not even consider doing a webseries!
Jul 9, 2020
While the OTT premiere of the Amitabh Bachchan - Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo has been met with mixed feelings, there is no doubt that the A-listers are determined to stay away from the digital platform.
Salman Khan, who has two films in different stages of production and a third script all set to go into production, is the only Khan superstar who needs to worry about his film going/not going on the OTT platform. And Salman (being Salman) is not the least bothered.
A very close producer-filmmaker friend reveals why Salman is unperturbed. “Bhai’s films can’t/won’t go to digital. His fans won’t allow it. They don’t want to see his films anywhere except on the large screen. None of his producers would even think of it. As it is, his two films underproduction Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali are produced by Salman himself. Even the third film, he has scripted during the lockdown is his own productions. His films won’t release on the digital platform.”
Forget his films going digital, Salman is not even considering doing a web-series even though his fellow-A-listers Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan have succumbed to the temptation of accepting the zeroes on the cheque.
So for now, it is Salman Khan on the big screen only.
Among, the other Khans from the superstar triumvirate Aamir has the incomplete Laal Singh Chaddha while Shah Rukh Khan has no films on and.

August 1: Bollywood Films To Be Available On OTT Platforms Only After 8 Weeks Of Release
We know how the tables have turned post the coronavirus pandemic. With cinema halls being shut for at least 2 years and the significant rise of the OTT platforms, several Bollywood films started being released on the OTT platforms. We know the importance of cinema in a country like India and the popularity it has attained over the past so many years.
Voila! Here’s one good news for all the Bollywood fanatics! All the Bollywood films will now be available on OTT Platforms after 8 weeks of remarking their presence in cinemas.
It gives operators of Online Casinos a better bonus module in terms of user interface, making it simpler to create bonuses. The website also has
Earlier the filmmakers decided to release the film on OTT platforms within 4 weeks of its release in theatres but later on, it was decided to postpone its release to around 8 weeks. This will not affect the way Bollywood films are released but will definitely have an effect on the way they are watched. Earlier the 4-week rule was accepted by many people as it was created with the idea to compensate the box office by premiering the film online because of the less earnings.
Most of the films even came online before the 8-week mark, because of which they had to face repercussions and the films faced a tough time. The film ‘Shimla Mirch’ signed a deal with Netflix before the premiere and the makers did not follow the 4-8 weeks mark. That is why the film was ignored in the theatres and wasn’t able to do well on OTT as well. The makers had to make do with single screens and standalone multiplexes.
The same thing happened with Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivii which came just after the second wave of the pandemic and the film came out to be a failure.
The new normal has definitely affected and led to many changes in the cinema industry. The digital space has definitely gained its presence after the complete shut of cinema halls. Even when everything was given a little relaxation, then also people were scared to step out of their houses and go watch the cinemas. But with everything getting back to normal, the business of the box office is finally grabbing its place in the market again and getting back on its feet. Recently cinemas have started running at 100% capacity and many Bollywood films like ‘RRR’ have performed extremely well in cinemas and OTT as well. Another recent release that was a super hit was ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’ which has surpassed the 100 crore mark and has turned out to be a blockbuster. Visit Hare:
With the indisputable agreement between the parties, movies are finally going back to the 8-week rule with the mutual agreement of both the producers and the exhibitors. Forthcoming releases like Laal Singh Chaddha, Brahmastra, Raksha Bandhan, etc. will be there on both mediums. They will be there on OTT after the 8 weeks of their release. Most Bollywood films were seen making a presence directly on OTTs rather than in cinemas. However, the box office has no doubt faced a lot of tough times because of the pandemic but the good news is that now all the movies will be there on OTT Platforms from August 1 after 8 weeks of their release in cinemas.
