Ooiggh the whole vibe with her being stuck in the house and locking things in there that the lyrics keep mentioning... That's really her vibe especially with how Lassi left home really young but Siru just stayed and she's just still here even after everything and everything!! And she's so quietly and lowkey self destructive bc she doesn't feel any vigor or worth to her life aside from what she can give to others and she deeply yearns to feel some kind of passion or strong emotion which is part of why she keeps coming back to Pesticinger! In short Siru is depressed. ALSO THE LAST PORTIONS OF THIS SONG. LOOK AT THIS

The vibe is PERFECT I'm honestly a little obsessed w this song even outside of oc associations but YES!!! When the lyrics say "It's not because I'm foolish, or naive. It just feels good lying and trick and treat" so true that is her when she's at her worse, at her most beastly. She is selective in her kindness bc the world was selective in giving her mercy and she never recovered from that. On one hand she loves to use knowledge to help and as power but she also looves wielding that power at her own crooked hands. She absolutely is calm, classy and delicate that descends into a frenzied, scratchy nightmare that doesn't care about you anymore.

I'm only recently starting to pet Spider's spines and seeing her in a more understanding light but all the horrory vibes and when the song screams "I hope you all die", is still a very deep and crucial knot of yarn in this character's heart. And she is, in her setting, sort of risen to a pseudo urban myth of a person - a minor fairytale almost, and the atmosphere in this song captures that really well.

Ofc as I said I'm recently starting to view her more kindly (as she probably needs to), not saying this to discredit the song but I am saying it bc. My heart tells me to. And I want to talk more openly about Spider. She is a very tragic character that needed more softness and when she finally got it she didn't understand it well enough to care for it (the monster partner ykno), and thus ended up adding to the amount of pain in the world. When she finally matured to understand what kindness is and how one nurtures it, she feels it's already too late. For her, that is..

For Spider- Along Came A Spider by Czesław Śpiewa ! Not just because it has spider in the title I promise /silly. I think the descent of calm, gentle music into increasingly aggressive sounding lyrics and melodies is very much the kind of hubris that lady would experience tbh... also the way the singer delivers "Knock, Knock, please let us in / It's cold out here, too cold to sin" reminds me a lot of the Vibes (tm) this character has in general :3

Honestly Nan as she is could stand to be alot angrier, I think over the years she's mostly just been super super bitter and felt betrayed, this kind of quiet misery and ache over everything lost. She wants to be the same anchor of stability in her children's lives as she's been in everyone else's up to this point. If not that then who even is she. But who remembers her after everything has drifted away. ALSO I'M YELLING ABOUT THIS BC. I so deeply associate Nan with like, river motifs, like!!
