I always knew I had it in me all I needed was God.
But I have to accept and acknowledge how blessed I am to have the support system I did I owe it to each of them in different ways. …..so listen…
We never thank the sun enough
For all it does for us.
For all the light it shines around,
For the warmth and the beauty and love.
It just hangs there every day, like family
A sparkle in the sky.
We never stop to thank it, though,
As it goes burning by.
I think that friends are also like the sun,
In this way if no other.
We relish their beauty and bask in their warmth,
But never say so to one another.
So am I taking this chance to say,
Loud and proud and true,
That I am so thankful to my family, partner and friends
And most importantly to God and myself
I did that
Flockhey 🫶🏽🎓🤎

Unending traffic, overpopulated cities, and high transportation costs are the problems faced by everyone living in metropolitan areas. But has anyone ever thought the solution to this would be a business model that is sustainable, healthy, and economical? If so, meet Mihir Pawar, a B.Com and LLB graduate from Mumbai who founded a company as a solution where everyone looks for alternatives.
In the busy city of Mumbai, where local trains are the lifeline for daily commuters, Mihir Pawar felt that it was time-consuming and energy-draining. What is the LLB course?

The actor Iain Cuthbertson was born on January 4th 1930 in Glasgow.
Iain was educated at Glasgow Academy, Aberdeen Grammar and the University of Aberdeen (where he graduated with a MA Honours in French and Spanish). His first break as an actor was on radio while studying at Aberdeen University.
He spent two years' national service in the Black Watch. During that time he was ordered to act as prisoner's friend at the court martial of a soldier accused of appearing late on parade, and then assaulting his superior officer when he eventually did turn up. He managed to get the soldier cleared of the more serious charge. The soldier's comment afterwards was "Thanks awfully fur pretendin ah didnae dae it sur".
His original wish was for a job in the Foreign Office, but he became a radio journalist with the BBC in Glasgow. Cuthbertson was often seen in Scottish theatres and at the Edinburgh Festival. He came to the Festival first in 1957 in the world premier of The Hidden King, then two years later with the Glasgow Citizens Theatre in James Bridie's The Baikie Charivari. In 1960 Cuthbertson memorably played the title role in Sydney Goodsir Smith's The Wallace. In 1966 he directed eminent Scottish actors including Duncan Macrae and Fulton Mackay in a late-night entertainment called 10.45 and A' That.
It's really Cuthbertson's work in the 70's that we know him from, as the slippery Charlie Endell in the ITV comedy crime-drama Budgie alongside Adam Faith, and then in Sutherland's Law, where he was the Procurator Fiscal, John Sutherland in a small Scottish town, which ran for 3 series, the exteriors for the series were filmed in Oban, Argyll.
Cuthbertson played Garron in the Doctor Who serial The Ribos Operation during Tom Baker's spell as the Doctor.
His other work included The Borderers, Tom Brown's Schooldays and he appeared in the pilot episode of Rab C Nesbitt as a magistrate. I can't leave this without mentioning Iain as the villainous Scunner Campbell alongside the superb Gudrun Ure, who will be 91 in march!
His films included The Railway Children, Scandal, in which he played Lord Hailsham, and Let Him Have I, in which he appeared as the Lord Chancellor. Cuthbertson remained in close touch with Aberdeen University and was rector from 1975. He is remembered as being hard-working and maintaining a "high level of interest", particularly in the welfare of students. When he stepped down in 1978 Cuthbertson was awarded an honorary LLB.
He suffered a severe stroke in 1982, which caused paralysis down one side of his body and speech loss. It took him almost two years to recover sufficiently to be able to act again. Although he avoided live theatre work thereafter, due to a fear of forgetting and/or stumbling on lines, he was still able to take parts in films and TV.
Iain Cuthbertson passed away on September 4th, 2009 in Glasgow.

In classic Oliver style, it is the day before the deadline and I'm not even halfway done (: Have called in sick to work and am beasting through this portfolio to get it all done today. I was meant to be working 12-8 today and then 8-4 tomorrow, which would've literally given me from 10pm tonight to 5am tomorrow morning to complete it if I hadn't called in sick, and tbh I'm shit at all nighters and would've really really struggled. I hate pulling sickies and have only done it twice before in my life, so felt super guilty but what can you do, I guess?
Anyway, 750 word blog post and 350 word reflection are now done. Left on the to do list for this portfolio are: Critical reflection of a guest lecture (450-550 words) Reflection on process of writing the reflection (350 words) Approximately 8 seminar reflections (250 words each) Make a powerpoint on a topic in the AI module not covered by any of the above reflections Film an 8 minute presentation using said slides and upload to a separate link Then, if I have time left over and it's not literally 2am, I may go back over my blog post and see if I can improve it or my reflection on it at all.
TLDR: Don't take coursework modules, kids!
Got my final deadline for my entire law degree on 02 August at 12 midday. Naturally, I have shifts every single day up until the deadline so have started working on it tonight. I'm ngl I'm stressed, not least because one of the parts of this project is an 8 minute recorded presentation with slides which I haven't begun yet.
Still, ending my law degree in style I suppose. Once more, leaving things to the last minute :)))

Pastor Thomas McCants Stewart (December 28, 1853 - January 7, 1923) was born in Charleston, South Carolina to George Gilchrist and Anna Morris Stewart. He attended the Avery Normal Institute before enrolling in Howard University. Although only fifteen when he arrived on Howard’s campus, he distinguished himself as a student and contributed occasional articles to the New National Era, an African American newspaper.
He grew increasingly dissatisfied with the quality of instruction at Howard and became one of the first Black students to enroll in the University of South Carolina. He graduated with a BA and LLB.
He married Charlotte Pearl Harris and taught mathematics at the State Agricultural and Mechanical College in Orangeburg. He joined the law firm of South Carolina Congressman Robert Brown Elliott. He became an ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and three years later was appointed pastor of the Bethel AME Church in New York.
He emerged as a national civil rights leader, respected attorney, and writer. He migrated to Liberia to serve as a professor at Liberia College. He returned to New York and wrote about his African experience in Liberia: The Americo-African Republic (1886).
He relocated to Hawaii. He hoped to advance his legal practice. He moved to London, England, and returned to Liberia, where he was appointed an Associate Justice of the Liberian Supreme Court. His criticism of Liberia’s president resulted in his removal from the court.
He returned to London, where he hoped to live out the remaining years of his life, he moved to the Virgin Islands. Regarded as an elder statesman, he established a legal practice with Christopher Payne, one of the island’s most experienced attorneys. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

There are currently polls being done on Ovarit, so I thought it would be fun to compare to here. Please only vote for the highest level of education you have completed:
First poll (n=347)
Second poll (ongoing - includes trades and is what I roughly copied and pasted the wording for this poll from). If you have an Ovarit account, this poll was just made so you can vote if you'd like.
I'll add the same disclaimer/acknowledgement/apology that is posted on Ovarit: this is an Americanized poll. If you're from another country and know the equivalent, please feel free to vote, as I understand terminology can be different. I apologize that certain degrees or terms from other countries aren't considered - it's difficult to fit it all in under 10 options and with a character limit.
Lastly, if you have another form of education not listed, please feel free to respond in the tags.
