Especially so in the original Odyssey (which I know it’s different from Epic canon, but I want to yap now that we’re here sorry) Odysseus and Polyphemus’ scene is known by many as a prime example of the violation of xenia not from Odysseus, but Polyphemus. Odysseus and his crew, sure, went into the Cyclops’ home to kill and take some sheep, but they were actually aware that it was someone’s abode. When you show up to someone’s house as a guest, you’re expected to be fed. Maybe they were a bit impatient with taking the sheep? Well they were a hungry bunch🤷 Not to mention the wine Odysseus had and offered Polyphemus? If I recall correctly rn, it was in fact all intentional as a trade. Odysseus and the group willingly stayed in Polyphemus’ cave for him to come back to do the trade instead of just running off with the sheep. They didn’t know Polyphemus was a monster that had no regards for the laws and the doom that would follow.

Even in Epic, Odysseus tried to reconciled what they’ve done with the gift of wine. Polyphemus chose not to take it properly as an exchange and even mocked them with the ‘you’ll be the last to die’. If you really wanted to choose something to fault Odysseus with there, his hubris is right there!!!! Just a man at the end of the day, what can I say. This concept of violating xenia very much comes back with the suitors, their treatment of beggar Odysseus especially, but I’ll spare you the geeking out. Adding on, ik the concept of time is vague in Epic and it definitely was a lot shorter judging Mutiny, but in the og, the crew were literally stranded on the island for a month iirc. They were constantly starving. Hunger can be a strong motivator. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the crew were also lowkey so low on hopes they would ever get home that it was very easy for them to break, but I digress ajsjakaja

He is a android except they call him a nindroid because he’s a ninja and the sci-fi geek character suggested it. He used to look human and when he didn’t have his memories he spent ten whole years thinking he was human (even though he didn’t age or anything).

He’s died over 5 times. One of which was self-destructing while fighting a god in hand to hand combat.

He committed genocide but it’s ok because he was psychologically manipulated into doing so when he had evil magic corrupting him and he lost all his memories (this is a running trend with him it happened three times).

He like the color pink and wears pink aprons and is the mom friend and good at cooking.

Also he is autism as all **** like just look at him look at his face he literally makes the autism creature face non-stop in the first few seasons

Ooughhhh i have soo manyyy.... for example this one's technically not a hc but does anyone else ride or die for fat/chubby emmet??? i mean i already always hc'd as being a bit overweight but adding on the fact that rex says hes "chiseled features were hidden under "baby fat"" just totally solidifies chubby emmet for me. additionally, people who are afraid to draw wyldstyle/lucy as buff make me sooo irritated especially in her apocalypse form like omfg theyre parodying mad max rn and you dont think shed be built like a brick house (no pun intended) rn? but okay sure. i guess you could make the argument of "well she needs to be sneaky and well hidden" as if her ex boyfriend isnt literally batman who is ripped and does that shit but i digress. i've discussed this in my benny/metalbeard post but metalbeard being a tech freak is mad underrated of a headcanon to me, i think him geeking out over new tech just makes so much sense to me bc i firmly believe metalbeard wants to have the most swashbuckling, most advanced pirate ship of the sea. especially considering when queen whatevra offered an entire planet sized ship for him and he added on things like a keyboard to his build and he just seems like hes always open to new technology and ideas.
