is Bigb a watcher in your swamprot art? I noticed the many eyes around him.
Additionally, I would love to hear about your heart monitor headcanon plz
First: No I don't headcanon BigB as a watcher - I actually don't headcanon any of the creators as watcher! But yes this is a reference to the watchers; hinting that they are behind the boogieman curse and watching bigb do it^^ Second: Yes let me explain it, I even drew infographics (i love drawing infographics)
Tumblr media
The heart monitors show of the amount of life/time a player has. 3rd life is simple, just three hardcore hearts stacked on top of each other. Last Life shows the amount of hearts you have as a number. Beneath that there is a "GIVE" button you can transfer a life with. I think you do it by pressing the button and making the heart monitors touch (kinda like paying with a credit card) Double Life has two rows of hearts. Your own and the one of your soulbound mirrored on the bottom. In the middle is a "soul string" that represents your relationship. Limited life shows three hearts just to fit in with the others (it isnt really a necessary thing, it just looks cute). It also displays your pulse and the time you have left. (More info and more graphics below)
Tumblr media
The heart monitors change depending on whats happening. If you loose a life and turn yellow or red, the missing hearts get blacked out while the rest turn yellow/red.
In Last Life the number just goes down.
When a player turns red in last life, the button gets crossed out and looses its function.
For Lim. Life the more time you loose, the higher beats your pulse (even if it doesn't)
In Double life the "soul string" on the monitor shows the relationship with your soulmate. If you haven't found them, it shows a "?". If you doing well it shows a heart. When you are fighting/not working together/divorced it shows a messed up ball of string. The string is displayed broken when you and your partner run out of lifes.
Elimination turns all the hearts black.
If you are the boogieman, a purple watcher eye appears on your screen that is only visible to the affected player. It overshadows everything else displayed on the monitor. The eye vanishes once you killed another player.
If you recieve or lose time/life a lil purple notifications pops up telling you how much you earn.
Your screen gets messed up if a player doesn't record or is missing an episode (this does not count if a player gets replaced aka gem or lizzie in limited life don't have this.) Example would be Bdubs during in limited life (also yes he uploaded his movie, no I not gonna change it)
Gosh i always wanted to talk about it. Here are some more examples

Malaysians are reacting with hilarity to government marital advice they talk like a cartoon character to avoid arguments with their husbands during home lockdown.
Many have taken to social media to mock the country’s Women and Family Development Ministry after it drew a backlash for encouraging women to giggle and sound like Japanese cartoon character Doraemon when speaking to their husbands. It also told women to apply make up when working from home.
The ministry has since removed the four infographics comprising the PSA from its Instagram page and replaced them with an apology last night.
Many recorded videos taking a jab at the ministry’s choice of a male cat robot from the future as a role model for Malaysian wives. Doraemon has a coarse voice in the Malaysian version of the cartoon show, which is voiced by actor Ruhaiyah Ibrahim. Ironically or not, Doraemon is usually performed by female voice actors.
Malaysian actress Chelsia Ng did a pretty accurate Doraemon’s impression in a video posted to Instagram yesterday. She used the same dialogue the ministry gave as its example for women to say.
“This is how you hang the clothes, my dear,” she says in the clip.
The ministry had suggested that women speak in the character’s voice and giggle instead of nagging their husbands when they’re not doing things right.
“Just in case you don’t know what Doraemon sounds like, he sounds a little bit like this,” Ng said before voicing the cartoon cat robot and waving around some laundry. “He has this kind of throaty voice.”
Comedian Harith Iskander and his wife Jezamine Lim reversed roles for their video, with Harith taking on the part of Doraemon-wife.
“Women don’t need to put on cartoon voices in their own homes to be heard,” he wrote in the caption. “And men shouldn’t accept this kind of narrative. More so now, than ever, we need to rise up to be a better version of ourselves. I am a man and I am proud of doing a Doraemon voice.”
In a statement yesterday, the Women and Family Development Ministry apologized if the extremely backward tips were inappropriate or had offended certain groups. It also promised to be more careful in the future.

MOTION UNIT SUMMARY. Cluster: Describing Motion (Lessons - ) Overview. Children heighten their awareness of motion in their surroundings by going on a Motion Search. They practice describing an object’s motion with words and drawings and learn to incorporate aspects of distance, time, speed, change of speed, and path into their descriptions. Motion graphics are awesome and highly versatile storytelling tools, which makes them a great addition to your brand’s content marketing mix if you’re looking to tell an interesting story in a succinct format, engage people on social media, or explain your product.
Why Motion Graphics Are Great For Brands
Online video has been on the rise now that mobile is pervasive and social platforms are more video-friendly. And while there are many types of content that can engage people, motion graphic videos are particularly suited to help brands tell their stories.
They’re emotionally captivating. With VO, music, beautiful animations, and powerful narratives, they can make you laugh, cry, and learn.
They make content easier to comprehend. Motion graphics are a fantastic tool to explain processes, products, or dense subjects—in a short amount of time. (Here are some great examples of explainer videos if you want to see them at work.)
They don’t require much from the viewer. People can sit back and watch, without having to spend much energy.
They’re easy to repurpose. You can cut one motion graphic into several 30-second promotional vids, update VO, or turn your existing motion graphics into static infographics.
For brands looking to make a connection with their viewers, motion is a no-brainer. But not all motion graphics are created equal. Truly great motion graphic examples make the most of every tool to tell a captivating story that engages people on all levels.

After five years, I get to hold in my hands the second book (not counting the annual report I designed two years ago) I’ve been privileged to design! I chuckle at the fact that both books I’ve laid out are both square. I love square books, even though they’re a little challenging to layout.
Tumblr media
Of course, I cannot take credit for doing the whole book cover to cover. The cover was designed by my friend and colleague Ali Figueroa!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Similar to the annual report I designed in 2016 (I should put that up in my portfolio, too), I was asked to do a bit of illustration work for some infographics to follow the aesthetic of the book. It was great that I could switch between Illustrator and InDesign, because it gets tiring staring at baseline grids all day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are a few illustrations here and there by Ms. Nina Lim-Yuson which I absolutely adore.
I think the reason why I enjoy designing books like this is that, despite the amount of time and effort it takes, I like how there are so many moving parts which can make it so much more interesting to leaf through. Rather than having just blocks and blocks of text, playing around with shapes, color, size, typography, and grids allows for more dynamic layouts which make people appreciate the final product more. I mean it can be a bitch, the fact that it does have a lot of moving parts (adjusting one small thing on one page can knock everything else out of your carefully planned layout). But it’s a good thing I can be a bit obsessive with details and precision.
Tumblr media
I’ll admit I got giddy while taking photos of this book, because looking at the pictures now, I feel like it’s a really nicely rendered mockup. But it’s real, it’s real!

Discussion of lecture: Disinformation, Fake News and Privacy (week 7)
Fake news is a type of misinformation I always tend to see in social media. According to a study, fake news is defined as “to be news articles that are intentionally and verifiably false, and could mislead readers” (Allcot and Gentzkow, 2017: 213) This topic seemed so interesting to me as I come from a country that relies on news from WhatsApp and other social media platforms rather than trusted agencies, such as the local news channel. This fake news phenomenon has affected the country so largely that new legislations has been set to tackle the main source of these rumours. The topic is greatly significant to me as this lecture introduced a major issue that is seen globally, perhaps the main motive is to understand the science behind the fake news, as seen involving the 2016 presidency elections, and the coronavirus’ active cases.
This rise of fake news is highlighted by the internet age, the main reason behind this spread according to my researches on this topic remains unknown, risking a lot of institutions, societies, celebrities and could even potentially lead to a digital war. Therefore, I went through couple of journals to further analyze the mechanism on how these news spread. First thing I’ve noticed while searching was that most rumour spreaders seek for either two things; fame or strong feelings towards something. For example, in one case there was a man who shot a restaurant’s ceiling scaring everyone in sight thinking the restaurant held an underground child sex ring. This man had read right-wing blogs and was strongly motivated by the stories, and when the news broke, several others made similar threats, but the viral news however turned out a hoax. (Edson Tandoc Jr., Zheng Lim, and Richard Lang, 2017: 137)
Another interesting concept of studying the science behind fake news is the infographic ‘Beyond ‘Fake News’ – 10 Types of Misleading News’, by European Association for Viewers Interests (EAVI), which has grabbed the attention and the positive acclaim of researchers. The infographic begins by identifying ten categories of misleading news which was briefly covered by the lecture, such as: hoax, error, clickbait, conspiracy theory, misinformation, and more. Whereas, fake news motivation lies in: money, passion, politics/power, and humour. (Tarlach McGonagle, 2017: 204) To apply the theory into reality, some individuals rely on spreading false in order to promote their political ideologies such as the spread of misinformation prior the elections, with over 30 million total Facebook shares of 115 pro-Trump fake stories.
Tumblr media
With that being said, the phenomenon of spreading fake news is not entirely without a purpose. Studies like EAVI has provided multiple entries on how fake news evolve, and what could potentially be the motive. Moreover, I was introduced to the fact that many institutions such as the European Court of Human Rights highly assesses these interferences that might occur with fake news, as they might cause major mishaps such as the Pizzagate shooting incident.

Infographic: USDA’s New Hemp Testing Rules
In 1937, the Marijuana Tax Act was enacted. This act effectively prohibited the production, sale, and use of cannabis in the United States. The Agricultural Act of 2014 (the 2014 Farm Bill) revived industrial hemp production through State pilot programs in the United States. In 2018, a new Farm Bill (Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018) came into effect. This act decriminalized hemp production at the federal level. The USDA introduced a Final Rule for hemp testing laboratories on January 19, 2021, that became effective from March 22, 2021. The infographic delineates some of the federal guidelines for hemp testing and how laboratories can follow them with ease.

The infographic shows the 7 most powerful digital marketing techniques in Malaysia. Aside from that, a bonus technique is rich snippets such as FAQ Schema. Terence Lim, the founder and SEO Strategist from JinMatic.com mentioned that structured data does not straight improve your search rankings, but it does have search engine optimization benefits. It makes your website more readable for online search engine, assisting the crawlers simplify much faster. In June 2019, practically 55% of all Google searches yielded zero clicks. This suggests that a lot of users found the responses they needed on the outcomes page, so they didn't have to check out different websites. Google takes snippets from ranked pages that offer the most rewarding answer to the question. The best way to optimize for zero-click searches is to win featured snippets. Do this by carrying out structured data on your site. It's a standardized format used to identify and arrange the info in your websites. This digital marketing strategy certainly does the job for Malaysia small-medium business because today's internet consumers demand easy-to-find, snackable and valuable content.

Fake News
There are many different definitions of Fake News. Scholars have their own definition with one defining it as "content featuring the style of conventional news intended to deliberately misinform," (Silvio Waisbord. 2018.) with others calling it "viral posts based on fictitious accounts made to look like news reports," (Edson C. Tandoc Jr., Zheng Wei Lim & Richard Ling. 2018.) In simple terms, fake news is false stories that claim to be news. Many fake news articles include misinformation, disinformation or personal bias. Recent fake news articles are written to influence financial downfall, major elections as well as publish the author's ideologies to become the norm. With so much fake news around, it is hard to find the real news stories.
The first step to acquiring legitimate news is understanding the term news. Scholars define it as "being an account of a recent, interesting, and significant event … the overall news is a way for journalists to provide "independent, reliable, accurate, and comprehensive information" (Edson C. Tandoc Jr., Zheng Wei Lim & Richard Ling. 2018.)
Fake news can fall into various different categories, including:
satire
parodies
news fabrication
photo manipulation
advertising and public relations
propaganda
The common themes found in the six forms of fake news is the way it disguises itself among real news to seem legit. Attributes such as the website it is published on, the writing of the article as well as the pictures, persuade the audience to believe it is real news. (Edson C. Tandoc Jr., Zheng Wei Lim & Richard Ling. 2018.)
Tumblr media
(FirstDraft , 2017)
When looking at fake and real news articles side by side, it is easier to identify the fake. The easiest way to identify fake news is to look at the layout of the homepage and the article. Take the fake news site DailyBussLive.com, for example. From first glance, the website does not fit into the typical conventions of a news website.
One thing to consider about Fake news is to investigate where the information is coming from. To identify if the site is trustworthy is to read multiple articles form the outlet. It is up to the reader to determine if it meets the requirements of quality journalism. When looking at the homepage for Daily Buzz Live next to the homepage of The Guardian, it is easy to tell that the website for Daily Buzz Live is fake.
Tumblr media
https://www.theguardian.com/international
Tumblr media
http://dailybuzzlive.com/
One of their fake news articles from Daily Buz Live includes “United Airlines Kills Worlds Largest Bunny During Flight.” The Guardian published a similar article titled “United Airlines ‘saddened’ by the death of giant rabbit after a transatlantic flight.” The Guardians reputation of being a trustworthy news outlet, it is easy to notice all the loose ends and miss information found in the DailyBussLive article.
By looking at the headline of an article, it is possible to identify if the article is real or fake. If the headline sparks dramatic emotion, it is highly likely the news story is fake news. Having an emotional headline, it is programming the mind to have that emotion relating to the actual article and thus interrupting the logical thinking of what the information being delivered.
Tumblr media
Read the Daily Buzz Live article here
Read The Guardian article here
Photo manipulation is a significant way that fake news sites get release fabricated and false stories. The Daily Buzz Live articles photo is definitely manipulated to fit in with the story. The picture also does not have the same emotion as the headline. If analyzed in-depth, it is easy to identify that the image is genuinely photoshopped. With comparison to The Guardian article, it is also the incorrect bread of rabbit, wth further outlines the fact that the Daily Buzzz Live story is fake news.
Tumblr media
Real credible news articles are written by authors. If the news article has no author, it is a great chance the story is fake. Looking at the date of the publication can also help in identifying if the article is real or fake. Many fake news signs have incorrect dates or no dates at all. They are more likely to use recycled stores from years ago. The Daily Buzz Live article, it was published recently. However, the actual story was published more than two years ago.
Tumblr media
Word choice, sentence structure, adds, images, headlines, storytelling. These are all aspects to look at when identifying the difference between real and fake. By comparing the two stories, it is possible to pick the fabrication, misinformation, bias and overall false reporting.
There are online sources that help to identify if a story is fake, including Fact-checking, Snopes.com and many more. There are many sources online that offer ways to avoid falling into a fake news story trap. Including infographics like the following. Such references help the general public to decipher fake news from real news.
Tumblr media
(Mount Allison University Libraries and Archives, 2019)
Beware of fake news. Fake news stories are everywhere. With social media, the distribution of fake news is extreme. It is up to the readers to determine what they consider fake news to be. It is best to always remember the eight steps to identify and analyze a piece of media.

The True Impact Social Media Has on Sports (Infographic)
The True Impact Social Media Has on Sports (Infographic)
How big of an impact does social media have on sports?
You’ll be surprissed of the answer.
More than 250 million people worldwide follow Ronaldo on social media channels. Facebook has the all-time high number of followers, 122.1 million. Then, 54.5 million followers on Twitter and 82.9 million followers on Instagram. They like, share and comment every single update on the sports-star. What a reach! According to Forbes, Ronaldo’s total earned media value in social platforms equals to $935.7 million, with an average value per post of $1,613,309. Amazing, right?
Find more stats in the infographic on here.
You are already thinking what’s the secret behind acquiring such a huge fan base and earning that much on social media? Well, the answer lies in 2 simple but genius tricks that Ronaldo’s Marketing team has strategically planned.
First of all, the secret lies in the heavy research for deciding the kinds of posts to be published, in order to create a real buzz among his fans. The latter comes in the form of spread out likes and shares by his fans, which in their turn attract the neutrals to follow him: those who are neither followers of Real Madrid nor the followers of Manchester United, Sporting Lisbon or the Portugal National team.
That, let us tell you, is the real hard part of SMM! Just to illustrate this point, do you remember one of Ronaldo’s posts in support of the refugees in Syria? No further explanation is needed here, you get it!
Secondly, the credits go to Ronaldo’s team managing his image rights: Mint Media managed by Singaporean tycoon Peter Lim indicates that the more followers he has, the more opportunities for endorsements.
