“C’mon Mason,” Lilo smiled giving his shoulder a squeeze as he rubbed his neck. “Give yourself some credit.”
He flashed her a shy smile, before flicking his gaze back to his scuffed up sneakers.
“I don’t know. I mean, I’ve never taught anybody anything before.” Hand drifting down to the bracelet she gave him, he fiddled with one of the beads, the amber turtle one, and channeled some magic into it unconsciously. If Lilo saw it glow, she did not mention it, instead, focusing on his words.
“You’re kidding right?” Her eyebrow disappeared beneath the stolen backwards cap as she stared incredulously at him. “You’re a great teacher. Look how much you’ve helped Luz with Earth Magic.”
“We’ve got to find a better name for that. Earth Magic makes people thing of plants and rocks as opposed to magic methods that work in this dimension. ” He mused, before shaking his head. Returning to the subject at hand, he waved his hand at her dismissively. “And that’s not teaching, that’s more like an information exchange. And she’s showing me way more than I could her.”
“That’s not what I’ve heard.” Booping his nose, she snuck her hand into his as they walked the path. “Why don’t you give it a chance? Hiro will be there, plus Tim and Jim. They’ll help out with the whole Professor thing if you ask.”
“Yeah.” Dipper smiled, straightening himself a little, trying not to overthink how her hand could be so small within his own and yet still capable of knocking out aliens four times her size.
“Besides, it’s only substituting until SFIT’s Applied Physics Teacher recovers from the Noodle Burger Incident.” She added nonchalantly. “That’s only for two weeks so if you don’t like it you can always move on to something else.”
“That’s right and-” His words sputtered to a halt as he turned his head towards her
“The what incident?”
Lilo reassuring Dipper that he can totally handle substituting for the Applied Physics Professor at SFIT, as Granville is a little short-staffed at the moment. For some reason, it’s getting harder and harder to get teachers that can handle the irregular attacks.
Lilo and Dipper helping each other with their self-confidence just makes me go fuzzy.
And yes, Lilo steals Dipper’s hats on a regular basis.

BH6 Snippets--2/10/2022
Let’s just assume I’ll be posting at stupid o’ clock until further notice
Anywho--today was real productive as far as BH6 writing was concerned--did a page for both Obake Itoko and that time-travel AU (actually considering a name change on that one not sure yet) and FOUR pages on Ghost’s Fury which finishes that chapter out and gives us an update yay! :D
Anyway...this snippet is from the page I did for Obake Itoko, where I’m working on chapter one...got a list of fics I want to get with a lot of consecutive chapters so I can start posting, we’ll see.
For context, this is the one where teen-Obake is the same time as Hiro and company, with a story that has some Lilo and Stitch flavoring (read the first book on FanFiction and AO3).
Hiro’s guess at the big huge honking breakfast Cass Hamada had prepped in excitement for this day had been right on the money. Honestly, he had probably understated it.
“I’m going to be making a big celebration dinner too and I’ve got a couple of bento boxes prepped for your lunches I mean I’m sure SFIT has a cafeteria but just in case,” Cass was rattling as Obake sat at the table nursing a coffee and trying to figure out what part of this spread he felt up to tackling. Let’s see, eggs were out, bananas also made him gag, rest was dampened by not really having an appetite first thing in the morning….
Mostly because he still wasn’t used to the luxury of eating well on a regular basis.
Sigh—it had been several months now, since this little family took him in, and he still wasn’t used to the whole concept. It all honestly felt surreal, felt fake, this happy little normal family that he felt like some dark shadow in comparison to, some ghost haunting them.
Glance at a photo on the wall, showing a larger, happier family. Well, one ghost out of several.
What was he even still doing here?
The answer came bounding down the steps, doing his best to psyche himself up with that shadow still haunting his eyes—Hiro Hamada. Clever boy, potential future cohort, that had proved himself worthy of Obake’s time. That the rest of this followed was a bonus.
Plus, as Hiro had shown, it wasn’t like he didn’t live an interesting life.
Gust another sigh, give him a squinty-eyed look as he came over—yes, the incident with Callaghan, the man who had ruined both their lives, had been very interesting…but at the same time, hopefully it was a past incident, a one and done deal. Obake, at least, had been content to take the summer easy and properly(ish) heal up from the injuries he had racked up, firstly from the explosion itself, secondly from getting banged up when they had confronted Callaghan.
As he understood it, the man was serving life in prison and Obake was very happy with the concept of him staying there. The man who had always given him a cockeyed consideration, expecting the worst of him, had shown himself to be worse and was now reaping his just desserts. Obake was back on top, life was good.
Now if only he could get rid of that shadow in Hiro’s eyes.
Past year or so I accidentally read a lot of books that were sequels to other books and what really struck me about the good ones were where you could totally guess at what went on in book one just from the context and brief recaps the characters gave--been making it a point to try to incorporate that.
Also Aunt Cass emotes with food if she stress-eats she happy-cooks.

Some Fandom/Buzzfeed Unsolved Crossover Ideas I Haven’t Seen Yet But Someone More Qualified Should Write
*The Abrupt Appearance of Emma Swan (& August Booth & Lily Page & Neal Cassidy) - Once Upon A Time - they find a kid and a newborn on the side of the road, neither of them technically existing, and this isn’t questioned?
*The Fire at the SFIT Showcase - Big Hero 6 - possibly an on-location where they try to find Tadashi’s ghost, or speculating on who started the fire and how Big Hero 6 comes into play/is connected.
*The Second Disappearance of Percy Jackson - Heroes of Olympus - I’ve seen a few fics on Percy’s “disappearance” in The Lightning Thief, but nothing on his vanishing due to Hera. It’d be interesting especially if they’d already done a piece on his first “disappearance”, as if this was a follow-up but not.
*The Life and Death of Luke Castellan - Percy Jackson and the Olympus - I mean it’s actually an interesting case. Mom goes crazy for a seemingly inexplicable reason, runs away at nine, connected to runaways Thalia Grace and Annabeth Chase, then years later disappears again and is spotted dead in front of the Empire State Building.
*The Potter House - Harry Potter - an on-location episode exploring the “explosion/gas leak” that supposedly led to James and Lily Potter’s deaths and the destruction of their house, maybe they try to get in contact with James and Lily’s ghosts, maybe they get scarily close to guessing the magic secret.
*The Lives and Deaths of Artemis Crock and Wally West - Young Justice - beloved Stanford University couple when Artemis’ death is announced only for it to turn out to have been faked (and why would she and Wally fake her death?), only for Wally to actually die shortly after, except there isn’t a body - could his death have been faked too?
*The Abnormal Appearances of Conner Kent & Megan Morse - Young Justice - two high school sophomores suddenly exist, and though their records are flawless, no one actually has any recollection of them in their first 16 years of life.
*Number 12 Grimmauld Place - Harry Potter - if this house was sold, imagine the eerieness of Number 12 suddenly existing when there are no records of there having been a Number 12 on Grimmauld Place and the aura of darkness that could still be hanging over the place.
*The Death and Rebirth of Hazel Levesque - Heroes of Olympus - true, they have no way of knowing Hazel actually left the Underworld and came back to life, but it could be one of Ryan’s theories as to how there’s a girl with the same name an appearance as a little girl 70 years ago who died in a tragic accident.
*The Vanishing of the di Angelo Family - Percy Jackson and the Olympians - could explore the exploded hotel, and the reports of Nico and Bianca having survived it yet never seen again, only for people to see two kids who look like them and share their name show up 70 years later like Captain America.
*The Town of Storybrooke - Once Upon A Time - how Storybrooke appears to be known by Maine, but no one can actually get there, the disappearance of that one father and son duo, etc.
*The Disappearing Dog - Bolt - how can one of the most famous dogs in the world in-universe disappear without anyone having any idea how it happened, only for him to show up days later just at the right time to save Penny?
*The Crash and Resurrection of Captain Danvers - Captain Marvel - crash happens, gets covered up, Captain Danvers declared missing or dead, only for someone suspected to be her showing up 6 years later?
*The Mysterious Photograph - Wonder Woman - there is only one photograph, very rare, of Wonder Woman, yet there are many accounts of her deeds in WW1. Who is she, and where did she come from?
*The Elric House - Fullmetal Alchemist - on location, visiting location & trying to figure out what happened to Ed & Al and why the house was set on fire.
*The Mysterious Murder of Maes Hughes - Fullmetal Alchemist - I don’t think they ever revealed to the public in-universe who murdered Hughes, so this would probably surround who murdered him and why.
*The Legend of the Black Widow - Marvel/Avengers - I’ve seen a Winter Soldier one, do one on Black Widow!
*The Explosion of the Pelekai House - Lilo & Stitch - basically just them theorizing why Lilo and Nani’s house blew up during Lilo and Stitch’s fight with Jumba and Pleakley.
*The Anomalous Appearance of Bart Allen - Young Justice - basically a version of Conner and M’gann’s for Bart/Impulse.
*The Peculiar Power of Shawn Spencer - Psych - Ryan believes Shawn is actually psychic, Shane believes Shawn is pretending to be psychic and has something else up his sleeve.
*The Curious Case of Captain Hook - Once Upon A Time - based on the fact that the Victorian setting was the “real” world just in the past, basically, they debate: was Captain Hook a real person? Could Liam or Killian Jones have become Captain Hook?
*The Folk-Lore of The Flock - Maximum Ride - treating The Flock as basically cryptids.
*The Fearsome Phenomenon of the Phantom of the Opera - Phantom of the Opera - was there really a phantom at Opera Populaire? Shane and Ryan are going to Paris to go on location.
*The New York Incident - Percy Jackson and the Olympians - the mortals were supposedly all asleep during the Battle of Manhatten. Shane and Ryan debate how and why that could have happened.

“SFIT?” Tadashi perks up at the name. “I go to school there. I’m a robotics major. I know where the school is.” He told them.
“Yeah, your nerd school.” Hiro mumbled under his breath. He was momentarily shocked that Lilo would talk to her sister that way. Wasn’t being cheated on a sore subject? But given her earlier brash attitude, he guessed he shouldn’t have been surprised.
“I’m sure me and Tadashi could show you were the nerd school is.” Hiro told Lilo.
“I wouldn’t mind.” Tadashi offered, looking to Nani for the okay. So Nani had recently been cheated on? That sounded terrible.

Aunt Cass had volunteered for an adoption program months ago, enough that Tadashi and Hiro had moved on to worrying about other things. Now, however, a month after the fire at SFIT, Hiro is reminded of it when Aunt Cass is contacted to say she’s next on the list. Hiro’s not sure what to make of this quiet punk kid, but he knows one thing: this guy will never replace Tadashi. BH6 AU with Lilo and Stitch vibes.

“Alrighty than,” Felix straightened, stretching a bit as he wiped his hands, proud of the newly replaced panels sparkle. “That should do it until Catalina and Angry decide to mess with Varian’s science doo-hickey of the week,”
Glancing behind him, he shook his head indulgently as he reached for his gloves.
“Now I don’t know how you boys spend so much time on those things. Can you even hear me?” Waving a hand, he earned a two half glances and a wave from Randy.
“Hmm?” Hiro pulled an Krei Pod out, one of those rock bands, Falling Boy was it? blaring out from the small white device. “Sorry Felix, you say something?”
“Just wondering how you can spend so much time staring at a screen.” Shrugging the elevator dinged, Randy following blindly as they walked out.
“Eh, I mean, it doesn’t have to be. Believe it or not I’m working.” Smug satisfaction dripped from his words as he swiped his finger into the air. A hologram emitted from the screen, showing Felix a strange diagram, a small circle drawing various things ranging from paperclips to places to it. “These are some of my old supermagnet prototype simulators.”
Randy, having realized that Felix was talking, slipped off his headphones to glance at the hologram, raising an eyebrow as he caught the trail end of the sentence.
“Aren’t those things the size of like, your palm?”
“Well the prototypes were.”
“Did you actually bring down any planes?”
“No!” Hiro looked offended, tilting his head admittedly, “Well, almost, but that wasn’t me that was some ameteur in Kansas trying to bring down a ‘UFO’ with my design.”
“Oh my land.” Felix exclaimed, taken back. “What on earth would you nee a magnet that powerful for?!”
Hiro shrugged.
“I dunno, I was just pulling up this file to compare to my latest design.”
Pressing a button, an even smaller circle was placed at the center of the holo-screen. A few more taps, and rings, presumably representing the magnetic pull, fired off rapidly. Various and increasingly larger sized objects slammed into it, and within seconds Hiro’s magnet had pulled down a theoretical sateliete.
“Dude, that is so bruce.” Randy fistbumped Hiro before slipping his headphones back on, going back to his game as he sauntered on to the shuttle.
Hiro nodded, before glancing at Felix, whose grimace had worsened as a space station crashed in the simulation. His mouth tugged in a small, evil grin as he pocketed his phone.
“Aren’t you glad I’m one of the good guys?”
Another morning in one of San Fransokyo’s apartment complexes.
Hiro and Randy live across eachother/ share the same floor in their apartment building along with a few others, notably Eugene Fitzherbert and Lance Strongbow (they share an apartment and let Varian stay there while he’s attending SFIT), Karen Fields (Voyd) with her roommate (Brick), Victoria Johnson (Lilo’s bestie), and Marco Diaz with Tom Lucitor.
Felix is the SuperIntendant, who the tennants are certain is some minor god or order because no mere mortal could keep up with their antics.
Let’s just say the building is a center of Chaos.
Hiro and Randy know the other’s a super hero, (midnight but they have this silent agreement not to talk about it. Nor do they discuss the casual assist’s when people break into eachother’s apartment. (picture Hiro strapping some robot’s to the wall via his magnet whips and Randy charging the apartment with his Ninja sword, both only clad in their pjs)
Everyone in the apartment is loud and no one complains. There is concern when the place is quiet.
Felix figure’s out that most of the Tennants secrets purely on accident but has long since learned when to keep his mouth shut. He doesn’t question when Tom frantically asks him to help restore burnt furniture or when Randy sheepishly shows him a bunch of slashmarks carving up the walls or when Varian needs him to replace the window lock clearly melted from the outside.
This is a small part of the D-Crew AU.
Literally only drew this to get a hieght comparison and ended up making this a full picture.
Randy’s 6′5″.
Hiro’s 5′8″
Felix is barely 4′0″.
