my pet au where ignis fucks with the timeline is very funny to me but also i am insane and incapable of either writing it or explaining it properly
#LIKE. the concept is that ignis somehow pulls a fast one (w/ shiva’s support)#and gets slung back in time to when his child-self was just getting to know noctis#except he doesn’t possess his younger self he becomes uh. the newest incarnation of the astral phoenix#birth / death / rebirth#and basically. baby ignis is carrying around his new best friend the weird egg him and noctis found in the gardens#because he’s like six and it hasn’t occurred to him to be suspicious of strange hot eggs that can only talk to him in his brain#(noctis accepts this)#ignis from the future is INORDINATELY miserable and w/ shiva’s support runs around attempting to gain the support of the other astrals#besides bahamut and usurp ifrit as the astral of fire#the important part is that baby ignis is carrying around an unhatched phoenix who is also his future self though.#if i ever write this it would be phoenix!ignis hatching to kill the shit out of the marilith#or up to that point anyway. the nanny assumes the phoenix egg is a weird rock
