Day 100 of being annoyed whenever people talk about how good monster high is about “LGBTQIA+” representation, and they’re talking about 13 years of “it’s just not the right time” supposedly rectified by one Girl In STEM turned they/them (very interesting choice, totally not sexist).

#it was such a bad idea to group LGB representation in with genderism representation #sorry but making an entirely feminine character and slapping they/them pronouns on her helps nobody except for the tumblrinas & twitterites #LGB kids are still without assurance that feeling That Way about their friend is normal #idk I just find it interesting that years of saying ‘it’s not the right time’ about LGB representation…#and then with the new gen they jump right on the easiest lowest effort form of representation #there’s theories two of the girls might end up in a relationship so that would be nice #but also there’s theories the enby and a girl will be in a relationship #which would honestly piss me off #because it would feel like the only way they decide to make a same sex relationship is to they/them one party #anyway as you can tell I’m still bitter that the media I grew up with had zero same sex attraction #and I want better for todays kids #but nope they just get the gender treatment #my ramblings
