Hello again. :) :Let's go with 9, 10, and 11 for the ruin album asks?

9. What is your favorite performance by Madeleine?

I've been absolutely obsessed with The Calling lately so I'm going to have to say that one. WATCH THAT WOMAN DROWWWWN is *whew* real good. But also just, like, the breath control to sing all those lines the way they run together? And it always amazes me how low she can go too. An actual goddess.

Smaller moments I love: Her laugh on "it's my dad's" in Secret Worlds, the pure descending notes of "I'll sing silence" in Ruin, her first verse in Inkpot Gods.

10. What is your favorite performance by Joey?

I know everyone loves The Old Witch Sleep and the Good Man Grace, and with good reason, but I actually really fucking love Blossoms. The way it moves from despaired resignation to anger to determination, and how you can hear every one of those things in his voice is just, so good. Joey belting out MY DRESS IS ON FIIIIIRE is my new gender.

Smaller moments I love: "You were talking to trees" which I can just see his face looking like Jaskier's mug singing in Posada in s1. His little "it's ok" in TOWSATGMG. The part in Inkpot Gods where they harmonize on "he doesn't understand" and he goes higher than Madeleine.

11. What’s your favorite instrumentation in the album?

Hmmm, Secret Worlds, maybe? It feels very lush. Also a fan of whatever's going on in Blossoms where I *think* it changes time signature or something? The part where it goes "I hurl myself I heal myself I drag myself like a rug in the rain" and the other bits that mirror that. There's something going on there Joey Batey and I will figure it out eventually.

Until I heard Orville Pecks voice for the first time I had never thought to myself "oh man this person's voice is HOT" before. I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm a fully ace person but I have to describe his voice like that because it's just what it is. There's no other way to convey what he sounds like other than hot. Here if you haven't had the privilege of ever listening to him before
