|| Thanks to @dilaneko I learned that Groh’s VA is also in the detective pikachu videogame and quite frankly the idea of Groh being able to meet the Ryan Reynolds pikachu in any capacity is comedy gold.

|| More of a mini-headcanon than anything

But given Groh is trapped in a lot of grief in main au, The malfestation has a near-permanent presence on the surface layer as Groh is chased out into living in the wild by the Aval.

In place of his usual pale eyes, a small, but noticeable ring of red clings to his pupils.

While I don’t think he’d exactly be aware of it unless told (or attacked because of it enough times), I could easily see him trying to hide his face away from whoever he’s talking to even more than he may have already done.

On a side note, by the time he meets the Conduit, Groh probably could be confused for some sort of monster due to his gaunt and generally untidy appearance from having to fend for himself in the wild.
