same here but here are some headcanons I might add more some when i get time:

.Benny is pretty young I know it's said he's a 1980s spaceman but I like to think he's 16-24 (just a headcanon)

.He has a friendship bracelet with unikitty

.Alien species from space! Has an antenna

.audhd (belongs to a mental asylum)

.plays board games with unikitty and metalbeard (BESTEST FRIENDS!!)

.barely sleeps stays up till 3 chatting with unikitty in roblox

.HE PLAYS REGRETEVATOR

.says he likes horror movies but looks away at all gory scene (screams at jumpscares)

.loves spiders and has a pet bug (probably a caterpillar)

.if you looked in his head he'd have the most devious thoughts known to man

.really good education! This guy can build a spaceship in 7 seconds hes definetly smart BUT has brain damage due to lack of oxygen which is literally said in the film.

.listens to radio head (literally canon) and has the worst music taste ever

.probably deaf (SPACESHIPS ARE SO LOUD) and speaks unintentionally loud

.crazy scientist/inventor probably has a bunch of inventions lying around he never finished

Ok so here's an extra theory for the lego movie itself!!

Hes an abandoned lego probably thrown out from the man upstairs until finn found him in an abandoned part of the basement (the reason he has bite marks on his helmet is because some bugs or rats probably found him)that also explains why he wanted to build a spaceship so much since he's been alone for ages and hasn't built anything

youre one of those disgusting fans who woobify the batman villains. theyre not soft bean sweet babies owo for you to obsess over and crackship (batjoked) especially not to kin with. youre not the joker, youre nothing like him and if you were youd be in jail. joker would kill you.

Alright here we go. were gonna focus on J cuz that seems to be the main things im ruining for you. poor thing :((

1. “woobifying”… alright,, listen.

Yes I will admit i tend to look at the better/positive things about J and his character. However, I never make or see him softer than he is. Open your eyes and realize there’s more to him than violence. In some variations, hes more soft than he is violent (ex: Telltale, Lego..) and even in the more harsh characterizations he has vulnerability. Hes a mentality ill man, criminally insane, BUT hes still human. He can be scared, sad, happy, even in love. In no way are his actions justified, not at all. However, in his core he can be more empathetic, more lovable. I’m not making him any softer than hes been shown to be, I’m just appreciating his soft moments. Its not wrong to believe that he could be a good, sweet person with a little help and the right people around. 

2. batjokes

I’m not gonna go in too deep on this but its certainly not a crackship. The average person might glance at it and shrug it off, call it silly. But in a lot of ways its cannon. Do the research, consume as much content as you can. You’ll see what i mean. 

3. kin

Alright, look. i know I’m not the joker. crazy right? I know I don’t kill people and fight a man in a batsuit. I connect with him though. I understand him and relate with him in weird abstract ways. Not to mention hes always been my favorite character ever. I understand the mental illness (minus the murder), I understand being in and out of hospitals, having people try to fix him, make him acceptable. Trying to get the attention of people he admires, working hard for it. Being chaotic and unorganized, messy thoughts. I relate to the laughter and all the joking, using it to cope. I feel a bond with him, hold him in my heart. Aside from the relation, he just makes me happy! Hes been with me my whole life, videogames, comics, movies, cartoons. Hes an interesting character to draw, think about, watch etc.. Hes something I enjoy and indulge in (along with batman as a whole). something like a sanctuary for when i just gotta get away and enjoy something. So, goddamn if i wanna “kin” him then who are you to try and stop me. 

Let people have fun you gate keeping elitist asshole.
